10231 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 3B2, Canada
Korean BBQ & Japanese classics such as maki & bento boxes are offered along with fusion sandwiches.
Issue with the food. Image is the imitation crab filling from a bento box's Californian roll. The plastic wrapper was still on the crab inside the roll. Human mistake happens, but is one time too many to leave plastic in a sushi roll? Restaurant offers a remade of the roll after I already ate one of the bad pieces, unknown what I are :(. Three of eight pieces were bad when plastic was founded consuming the 3rd piece, so simple math put 4/8 pieces had plastic, 50%. Three remains therefore one was eaten. After remake was rejected, restaurant offered a $5 discount when compared to the special avocado roll we ordered costs $8. They do not have an Avocado roll on the menu, it was a California roll with no crab and cucumber I ordered for my daughter. We ended up settling at no charge for the Bento box at $25. Fair?
Food are delicious and service is amazingly kind🩵 must try bulgogi
Such a warm, cozy and homey atmosphere with a super friendly owner and absolutely delicious food. Thank you!
Got take out, chicken katsu and kimchi fried rice for take out, ended up being 46$ which is not worth it. Kimchi fried rice was tasteless, only had spice and that’s it. Honestly was really disappointing and it was my second time back. Ladies were nice but with this price and quality, I won’t return.
I have no idea how they got so many good reviews. Food was unbelievably terrible. They managed to mess up every single dishes. Bibimbap was bland. They used raw purple cabbage, cucumber, bean sprouts and "sadly almost impossible to spot" beef. Where was the seasoned mushroom? Spinach? Rice was over-cooked, feels like it's been sitting in the rice cooker since this morning. Paid extra $4.5 to upgrade to a combo. They didn't come out until we finished our meal. Kimchi pancakes was extremely mushy. Shrimp tempura was super greasy and we could not identify the batter they used (corn flakes?!). Check the photos. We were only given 3 tiny banchan (appetizers). We finished Kimchi before our food arrived. The server wasn't impressive, he told us we should've waited for our food. We supposed to eat Kimchi with rice! Just because we aren't Korean, doesn't mean we don't know Korean food. Top rated the worst Korean restaurant on my list.
I just happened to be in the area and got hungry so just googled restaurants nearby. Parking available at the back. 11:45am on Monday and no one else in the restaurant but parking in the back was almost full. Wonder what's going on with that. Anyhow, ordered the special of the day, Mom's Bibimbap and it was good! Two Korean ladies in the kitchen and one of them served me. The server was Korean and had only limited English but somehow I felt that added to authenticity of the food being served. Lol Service was good as I was the only one. Bathroom was clean. I didn't try anything on the menu so my experience is limited but the lunch I had was good as Korean town restaurants in Toronto. Would recommend. :)
Came to this place on short notice and we are glad we did :) The restaurant is quite small, but clean. Washrooms were clean and had an updated look. Service was fast and the waitress was very friendly. Got some classic Korean dishes and they were all on point! Would definitely recommend.
First time coming here and wanted to really like the place. Ordered the Katsu Don Buri and it was good, but not worth $17 and change with tax and tips. There are many better options nearby for that price. 2.5 stars.
Very children friendly. Very fresh ingredients too
Very yummy food! My go-to lunch when I am in the area!
Good
Amazing food, great service and welcoming energy!:)
Food was very good and service was really nice
Super good! Very friendly service My friends and I are definitely coming back :)
The food was amazing and comforting, very cozy atmosphere and the service was friendly. Definitely worth going getting your moneys worth on yummy food.
The owners were so sweet and the food was delicious
Yum
Interesting Korean flavour Japanese food.
The gamjatang at this restaurant is very delicious. The owner lady has a very warm heart. The atmosphere was comfortable.
I am having a delicious soft tofu stew.
I enjoy the food from here, i will be back Vegetarian options: Sushi was good Food : 5/5 |
Weve tried to visit this restaurant a few times over the last year (during their listed open hours) but its always closed. Is it only open for delivery?
Outstanding experience! From the delightful ambiance to the delectable dishes, everything was top-notch. The attentive staff and impressive flavours made for an unforgettable dinning adventure. Highly recommended!
Just take out, no dining, Korean version of Mc Donalds
I arrived in Canada late, so I stopped by and went to a Korean restaurant. The owner was very kind, and when I said there was no place to buy beer, he gave me a ride to the supermarket and the food was delicious.!!! Boss, please stay healthy and stay for a long time~^^
Very delicious. Thank you
Great late nite korean
Got the Bulgogi Bento. Was great. Liked the taste and filling for a dinner item.
Parking: Keto friendly Food
Quality of the food was not good
The shrimp tempura I received was clearly frozen cooked in an oven. It did not have the flakey batter you get fresh and was clearly a flat side that it cooked or froze on. The grilled chicken rice entree was far from grilled, didn t see a single grill mark. The grilled chicken was also drowning in a watery sauce, it was basically soup, tasted boiled or microwaved. Bulgogi was pretty good, fair portion and tasty.
Awful service. Was turned around twice to go check the menu again. Wouldn t and couldn t explain a thing
I think they make one of the best kimchi fried rice!! A+++ and I love the service they re so sweet :)
Love this place, always good food and service
We are super impressed with this place! The food was really good. Although I wouldnt call it one of the best Korean, it is definitely Good Korean food. The portion was generous and the chicken was super crispy and tender. We ordered the Teriyaki Bento box and Katsu Bento box for take out. Everything was packaged neatly. I would give them 11/10 for customer service. Their debit machine stopped working when we went to pay, so instead if not going through with the transaction or making us wait, they simply handed us the food , apologizd and asked us to come back and pay for it later. That s above and beyond! 10/10 recommend for food as well.
Place does not accept dine in; only online orders. I wish their website had indicated this before I drove there from Vaughan.
Good service
Its very nice.
WARNING! JUST DONT! Dont say I didnt tell you so I ordered Beef Udon, and it had two pieces of beef from frozen box, half serving of package udon from Super Store, very blend msg soup and a pinch of sprout all for $14 Clap Clap. My wife had pork bone soup. Small portion meat and again blend soup. We went there based on their reviews which is totally misleading. Sadly.
It was a terrible experience and I would never suggest anyone to go to this restaurant. I am not sure about the legidimacy of all the other reviews here. The pork bone soup I ordered is probably worse than any Korean mom s home cook meal. The restaurant is in an old building, which smells very moldy, although they try to keep it clean but the strong smell is still there. The price is not reasonable comparing to the quality food that they are serving. If you would like to have Korean food/Japanese food, there are many better restaurants around the area, don t make the same mistake as I did to TRY this restaurant. The owner of this restaurant is not opening this restaurant to serve good food.
Authentic Korean cuisine
Love, love, loveee this place. The food is amazing and fresh! So yummy
Always good
Lovely place to eat
Kimchi pork belly is amazing!
Was not a good place or a good experience. Food was oily, unseasoned to the point of bland. Server didn t care about actually providing service. He should ve just taken a nap in the back and I could ve just served myself. Not sure how all these other reviews are so positive; unless A) something s changed in the kitchen or B) they were giving discounts for reviews.
The food was delicious! Tasted like legitimate home cooked Korean food. The place is small but feels very welcoming. Really clean and has a homey vibe. Such a cute place. Would highly recommend. Price are good for what you get!
Good service and decent food
Great place with amazing food and friendly staff
Delicious
Sooo bad. Do not eat here, ran to the bathroom 20minutes after eating here. Worst stomach ache ever. We had sushi and the seaweed was uneatable, was so chewy, chicken wings were dry, salad was dead.
good food (if a tad overpriced) and great service gives off a nice genuine family owned vibe
Super yummy! Definitely wanna go back and try some other menu items.
Not bad food
Great food, service and price. The food here is fresh and delicious and the staff are always so friendly.
Family owned restaurant. It looks run down from the outside. There is limited parking in the back. We were almost hesistant to go in but we decided to give it a try and it was a positive experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious. My husband got the beef bento and I had the teriyaki salmon bento and both were very good. Price was reasonable.
Got take out from here recently & it was delicious!
Amazing place.. amazing food.... amazing service. You gotta go there!
The food had an amazing taste and the overall atmosphere of the place was amazing
This amazing Korean restaurant truly showed the wonders of Korea. From the environment of the restaurant to the food, this pace was truly Yummy Korea.
Very small place. It s okay for take out but not suitable for sit down
Bipimbop was great
Kinda cool like kool today
I ve ordered ubereats from here several times and I ve always been happy with the quality of food. Their bento boxes are delicious and they have lots of options to choose from. They re also open late, which is great since there aren t many places open late in Richmond Hill.
Perfect home style Korea food in the town.
The staff was very nice. Food came out quickly and it was tasty.
Great service
Clean, friendly, fast. Good food, made fresh. No jarred, boxed or canned ingredients. We had the bulgogi Bento box, and the bi bim bap hot pot. Excellent, will return.
The place is decent. Food and prices are good. Fairly small place but in downtown Richmond hill.
I ordered the Katsu Don Buri. It was mediocre in taste, the thin chicken cutlet tasted old and the portion size was ridiculous for the price of $17 with tax. This place was the biggest rip off, I will never be back.
Tasted very good and very friendly services! Recommended to everyone!
Found this place online with high ratings, suggested it to my friends, and the 3 of us decided to try it out for dinner. The server was nice, but barely spoke nor understood English. There were maybe 2 other tables occupied at the time. We waited for tea refills for over 10mins. When server came by to finally take the pot she never returned and had to be reminded we were still waiting for tea. After placing our orders, it took over 45mins to come out (with only 1 table of 3 that ordered before us). That table ended up asking for their order to go. During our wait we observed multiple take out orders come and go. Appears they put priority on take out orders which is NOT acceptable. Finally when my order came out (Hot Udon Seafood Soup) was nice and steaming hot. But very disappointed with the dish itself. It had maybe 5 little shrimp (appears to be from the frozen cocktail ring) and 2 little pieces of mussle, with 5 pieces of zuchinni (when description indicated mixed vegetables). Overall very poor dining experience, and food quality. Would not reccommend and will not be returning.
Have some vegetarian foods...
Great food and great service everytime
Nice restaurant. I liked the feeling. Of course dont expect a Michelin . Price wise.... a bit arrogant. Minimum salary might explain that.
Cozy quiet place. Mix of Korean, Japanese and Chinese food. Not expensive. Parking lot by side.
Amazzzzzzing food
I was in the area for the first time today and decided to give this place a try for lunch. The lady who served us was very polite and the restaurant atmosphere was homey - I loved the cute black and white photos on the wall. I had the chicken dup bap lunch special which was $10 and tasted decent. The menu was pretty standard for a Korean/Japanese fusion restaurant, with most items ranging from $10-$20. There werent a lot of people dining in around 1 PM but I definitely noticed a lot of people ordering takeout! I might come back if Im in the area again.
Great food, had a hot pot bibimbap and it was delicious. The homemade chili paste - unreal. You have to eat here! Parking was a little tricky to find, just slow down when you drive by and you should see where to enter.
Great local spot for Korean food /sushi. Family owned restaurant and Great tasting Home style cooking. A rare gem in RichmondHill. Definitely one of my favourite Korean restaurants now. Highly recommend!
Friendly service. Pork bone soup was nothing special and there was too much bone and very little meat, the potato tasted freezer burnt. The rice was plain and dry. There was 3 side dishes with this which were boring and blah. I would not recommend this restaurant for pork bone soup. I ve had this dish at other restaurants and it was much much better.
I love this place for homestyle Korean. Great everything.
good.
Nice food
I had 15 to 20 mins to eat so we told them and we got a full meal with salad first then tea then soup and then our orders. All excellent prices and time. Friendly waiters and amazing food. Go there if you can!! .
Excellent sushi and Korean food, owner are very nice and kind. Love this restaurant so much to whom that say the foods are bland, Asian love the freshness not the spices, spices are for enhancing of the main food
I have to say, service was amazing. I was visiting Richmond Hill for a few courses I had to take and stumbled upon this place as it was close to the building I was at. This place is amazing. Tea is good. Everything is fresh. My sushi was fresh fresh fresh. I got sushi with moms bip and bap. The kimchi that came with the food is... Amazing. I have a particular taste when it comes to kimchi. They make a real nice one. Overall loved the place and the food. A bit priced, but then again everything in Richmond Hill is pricey.
Great authentic home cooked feel... Very friendly owners and staff
Tasty food and a cozy sit down dining experience. The Bento box meals are delicious.
Good, home cooked style meals
Great food and great service. Another gem of the community.
Food was delicious and the space was nice and cozy
Great food for a great price. And service is amazing as well. Definitely recommended. Great value for great food!
Very friendly, affordable, home style Korean food. Delicious!
Its yummy as the name suggests.
Excellent home cooking, very good service
Great food with good portions and fair pricing.
A nice hidden gem in Richmond Hill. Great prices and food selection. Generous and yummy. However, parking is kind of a pain.
Food was just ok. Portions kind of small for the money.
Great food but small menu as for me
The food is delicious and its a family run restaurant. The cutest and kindest family!!
Home cooked excellence.
Great, fresh, taste food for the price. Clean and bright. Attentive, courteous staff. Coming back for sure.
Excellent food and service. Also very accommodating for young kids with highchair and kids cutlery set.
Very good. The food got better and service is great. Katsu Don Buri was excellent. With sauce on the side not too salty!
A friendly mama papa Korean/Japanese restaurant with reasonable prices and authentic food. No banchan as appetizers but you do get miso soup and salad. Entrees could be a bit bigger.
Very clean and wonderful service. Pork bone soup amazing!
The food and place feels like a warm hug. Great food, amazing staff
Small mom and pop restaurant that resembles a food court. Service was good. Street parking and parking at the back. Food was ok but here what could be improved: -side dishes were cold and not very tasty . Room temperature would have been better. -pork bone soup was watery and could be more flavourful. Meat was not tender and no potatoes. -portions were small for the price. -miso soup was not very flavorful.
The spicy pork bone soup wasnt spicy enough No potatoes in the soup Chopstick is wooden instead of proper metallic No iced water At least they have WiFi
Great place to eat Asian Restaurant. Very friendly staff, excellent prices. I am absolutely impressed with the service, food how babys/kids friendly this place is.
Great home style Korean food
Good Korean food and excellent value
Food was descent but not worth its price.
Tasty food
The food at this restaurant is simply amazing. Its always fresh, tasty and prepared with love. The owners are nice, friendly and treat you as a family. The prices are very reasonable too. I am of the opinion that this restaurant one of the best in this area.
Fantastic fresh food. The couple who own it are really nice and highly recommend it if you re near the old part of town
Good service. Not too many Korean items to choose from. Unless sushi is Korean.
Great home cooked food and cozy restaurant. Better than any other place on yonge street in Richmond Hill as everything is prepared in the kitchen and is always fresh. Ive eaten here numerous times and cant complain.
Amazing food and very friendly service. They have recently expanded and now have a fairly decent seating area. If you like Korean/Japanese food, this is a must try. I would suggest trying non-sushi dishes to really see their expertise!
