King Henry's Arms in Richmond Hill

Last night, we experienced the cozy atmosphere of the place. Waiting in line for a table took around 15 minutes. Despite the slightly slow service, the food was good and satisfying. The pub provides a great setting for conversations with friends, and we lingered there until midnight, enjoying the company without any hesitation or additional noise.

Great wings. Good prices. A nice surprise given that it is located in a plaza !

The atmosphere is cozy and warm. I really enjoy whenever I spend time there. The bears are great.The best bear I ever tried.The foods are good in quality and the prices are really reasonable.

For many years I have been visiting this pub and I have never had a bad experience. The food is amazing! Staff are friendly and awesome. You can see and feel pride of ownership and just all-around good people make this pub amazing. It continues to be the best gem in town!

I havent visited for very long time but we used to be regulars here. They had great choice of music, very nice dishes and good vibes.

Visited this place with friends. Very cozy atmosphere, fast and extremely friendly personnel. The food was absolutely great - best ribs and wings I had for years. Highly recommend this place and will come back if I am in Toronto again.

The rudest welcome I have ever had in a bar. The lady behind the bar Sam, literally swore at us because we were stood by the bar and in her way . Astonishingly bad. Avoid at all costs.

Great English style pub. Seating needs to be updated. Wonderful selection of beers. Service is very good and very pleasant.

Pro: Food offering are good and reasonably priced. Con: Service was slow. Hard to get the waitresses attention. The seats in the booths are worn and uncomfortable. Although there are many TVs, it would be great to have a couple of larger size ones. My request to put the hockey game on took a long time. Its a nice pub for a drink and food with friends, but not a good sports bar.

I have to admit, I ve been frequenting this establishment for many years now, and in the past I ve experienced inappropriate servers and managers. However, Under relatively new management, and with a great roster of staff members, this bar has definitely stepped up its game. After a long day of moving furniture and driving a truck all over town, we stopped here for lunch. One of my friends accidentally ordered the wrong burger. Our server, Miranda, was amazing and so accommodating! She immediately took the plate back and replaced it with the correct order (no charge). Miranda is very personable and so helpful to every patron at King Henry s! A shout out to Robin as well; she has always been incredible and again, so accommodating, and so wonderful to all the guests. The menu is so extensive There are so many options, it s hard to choose! But I have yet to have a meal there that was not good. Honestly the food is amazing! The location is convenient (Yonge & 16th), although it isn t much to look at in the little plaza, next to McDonald s. There is also very minimal patio space. Regardless, I highly recommend this bar/restaurant for its friendliness, service, and great pub fare! Parking: Massive parking lot for King Henry s as well as other establishments.

We came to start with only some beers, but the music and the place was cool that we decided to stay for dinner (we were planning to go somewhere else) I had Sheppard pie that come with beans and vegetables, good combination and the portion is large. My friends ask for curry fries, that were sooo good very recommended. Also I saw they have special coffee with Bayliss or Kahlua that I was tempted to try but I was very full,. So I will come back for that. And the service is good our waitress was very nice. She was giving everything that night. Even if they didnt have lime cheesecake pay she said was her favorite.

Go there regularly. Everything Ive ever had there has been amazing. It is small and can get busy though. Sometimes when it is that busy, service slows down. But if youre not in a hurry your bound to enjoy your meal and have a good time.

The place is packed which is nice but there is a lack of server for sure. The food quality was ok, the experience overall was good.

The blond hair server if i can call her that didn t want to serve me because of our service dog she s attitude was so unprofessional and rude try to avoid her she doesn t deserve to serve anyone and if i was the owner i would fired her asap she give bad name for the bar

New(ish) to Richmond Hill, found this hidden gem and made it our new favourite place! Food is spectacular (they must have hired the best cooks around!), service is bar-none (especially if Miranda is serving you!), and love the cozy atmosphere. Been there multiple times over the last few months and have seriously not had a bad experience. Favourites are the chorizo sausage quesadilla and of course Mirandas Caesars!

The wait is very long and sometimes they answer rudely. And for Ukrainians, they are generally unwelcome here. This is a waiter who is not welcoming or friendly.

Im quite new to the Richmond Hill area, and find a great place here at King Henrys Arms. Thanks to an amazing server named Samantha (tues)! She really does put every ounce of effort she can into her work. All the regulars that come enjoy her energy and cant wait to see her again. I myself included! The wings here are amazing especially the honey garlic. Other items are hit or miss. Monday and Tuesday are the best time to go! Update 1/23: I must include Kato, and Allison, who have served me plenty and always up to chat. Both hard working and amazing! Food updated as well had mozzy sticks and their nachos both amazing. Idk what chefs I get but damn they were good hires on Peters and Anders to do (owners) who also very customer friendly. (becoming a regular, its been nice to feel welcomed here, never a bad day at Kings)

Really good experience. Kato is super cool and provided excellent service. Wings were larger than average and wing sauce very good. What you d expect from pub fare but very good. Very cool casual atmosphere. Recommend highly for a pound and a pint:)

Clean and Good Vibe!

Our server Laura was patient, welcoming, and checked on us several times despite the restaurant being packed and having only two servers to cover the entire venue including the bar. The wings were crispy without breading and the lamb shank was fall off the bone tender. well be back soon, with more friends!

The food is so classic pub food, and it was so good! Even without alcohol! Weekend evenings are a great time for visits to the pub, which means larger tables are harder to get. Keep that in mind as there are great booths, but they are definitely small for a group of five (unless one is a very small kid). Is it worth it to squish into one of the booths with five adults for the food? YES! The food and beer won t last long anyway, and it s easier to share all the delicious foods unless you don t want to share the good food. Then you d want to ask for an additional booth

Nice atmosphere and surprisingly good food.

I ve been here a few times and this place is fantastic. Just make certain that you check what time you re going because it can t get busy and you can be waiting a while further a table or service. The food, however, is terrific, and the wait staff is great. They work hard to make certain that your food and your drinks get out to you in a timely manner however, again because this place is so popular. Sometimes it does get a little hectic and you gotta wait. We always keep King Henry s Arms as one of our go to for a night out of good food and great atmosphere.

We went there for New Years. Place was full, but Samantha managed to get us seated. Sundays Open Mic was an unexpected bonus. Great atmosphere - everyone was very friendly (reminded me of Cheers) Great food & service. Menu has a lot of options, and they all look good. Ive been in the area for over 20 years and am sorry that it never occurred to me to go there. Will definitely be going back to try a lot more of the menu.

Excellent crispy homemade kettle chips. As good as we had anywhere in Canada and US. The food is very good and about the best prices in GTA. Staff is attentive efficient and friendly. Brew selection has something for most tastes. If you enjoy pubs you will be glad to find this one.

Friendly, cozy environment. Two ladies running the bar are amazing and they make you feel like home. Food is average, not expensive for the portion you get. I liked french fries and mushroom soup (soup? Bar? I know lol)I like their drinks too. This is my go to place.

Quick drinks before a kids hockey game. Service was exceptional. Waitress was on top of everything despite being short handed and busy. Some of our group got quick apps and everyone enjoyed their orders.

This is the best classic, English-style pub in Richmond Hill, by far! Service is extremely fast and professional and the food is high quality. The owner Anders is a also a very kind, and friendly individual who often is present at the pub and welcomes guests personally.

I ve been here a couple times and had their wings & drinks but I ve heard so many good things about their Lasagna! Definitely coming back for that. Also the pub definitely has small town vibes - everyone there is usually a regular or someone local. Their bartenders and servers are some of the nicest people I ve ever met and have been so kind. Even if you don t like the food would definitely tell you to come check them out on a night out if you re in the area!

Food and service here will never let you down! Every single item on the menu is absolutely delicious. My favs are the chicken pot pie and stuffed mini Yorkshire puddings. And the prices are pretty decent. Staff are nice and friendly. We accidentally went on a trivia night once, cool environment with lovely locals.

Local pub in Richmond Hill has been around for a while. The food is well priced and competitive. Trivia Tuesday s are busy.

Bigger than it looks from the outside. Food is good and the menu is bigger than one might expect too. True to its name uncommon foods on the menu include Scotch Eggs which must be tried at least once, served hot or cold it is good either way.

This place has the best burgers and wings in all the GTA.

Good food compared to other pub fare in the area. Fish tacos were a little disappointing, and 2 huge tortillas made it difficult to enjoy. I wouldve much rather had 3 smaller tortillas or had the 2 I got wrapped like a burrito

Written in Jan 2023 OMG, I absolutely love this place. I just placed an order through Uber Eats and ordered the lasagna, coleslaw, and garden salad, and it was all delicious! Two thumbs up to the chef for making a lasagna that melts in your mouth and is so tasty! All these years, this place was within arms reach to me, and I never gave it a chance. The other times i ordered the mac and cheese and fish and chips and they were delicious too! I am so happy I did now as I will become a big customer! Thank you, King Henrys Arm, for making delicious food! Written April 5, 2023 To my disappointment today I picked up my favorite dish (the lasagna) and the portion was so small compared to the last few times...due to that unfortunately my rating of 5 stars from Jan (few months ago) has been reduced to 3 stars . Best service and the food is always great

The best pub youll come across in town. The workers are very diligent and very friendly. They always seem to be watching out to make sure customers are having the best experience. The food selection isnt huge but nonetheless, everything tastes great at a good price point. The beer is always 10/10 and I really appreciate how the bartender always has their station clean and tidy. You can find tons of free parking right in front and enjoy your stay. Parking: lots of parking right in front so its very convenient.

We ordered via Uber and the food was fresh and absolutely delicious! We had the jacko style wings and saucy fingers, both meals were fantastic! Travelled well too.

We chose between McDonalds and KHA. My daughter said that KHA should be tastier. And we didnt miss out! Great sandwiches and burgers. And instead of french fries, you can order salad! Everything is delicious! We were satisfied! We will definitely come again!

As good of a strip mall local as youre likely to find. The food is hit and miss depending on the item and year, but great personable servers, and interestingish regulars.

Staffs are super friendly. The food is not too expensive & nice. My ribs were maybe like... 7.5 out of 10. They have a tablet menu with photos which I loved (you cant order through it tho lol). The atmosphere was like a nice old and cozy pub & They have nice little booths.

Very disappointed at the server when she (her name is Robyn) refused to serve my girlfriend dinner on her birthday, so I am very disappointed and heartbroken. There s not one good restaurant in this city! I mean, how did it get here? The entire experience very disrespectful!

Very bad customer service.

I visited the restaurant today to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. The server, who had blond hair, took our order for two drinks and two foods. While the drinks arrived promptly, we encountered a significant issue with the service. After waiting for an extended period, only one of our entrees was brought to the table. When I inquired about the missing dish after 30 minutes, the server admitted to forgetting it. We patiently waited for another 25 minutes, but our second food never arrived. Frustrated with the delay, we decided to leave. Upon requesting the bill, it took an additional 10 minutes for the server to provide it. When we expressed our disappointment and explained that the poor service had marred our celebration, the response from the server was less than empathetic. While I understand that mistakes can happen, the overall experience was disappointing, and the servers response to our concerns was disheartening, She said I am happy you decided to do not come here. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place, and I dont plan on returning in the future. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the overall service quality.

Always top notch service !

Walked in at around 9PM on a busy Monday night, party of two. We were seated in one of the small two person booths. Unfortunately we were seated next to a loud party of loud gentlemen coming off a beer league hockey match, watching the Monday night NFL game and the bartender would not let us sit in the bigger booth away from that party, as it was the only four seater booth left. It was really hard to hold a conversation with my friend over the loud rowdy party next to us. That being said, Monday night is half price wings, and we were not disappointed. The wings were fresh, juicy, and big. You will not be disappointed with these wings. Thai chili wing sauce was perfect! We ended up ordering potato skins afterwards as well and we definitely enjoyed those as well! Would definitely return for more delicious, fresh and reasonably priced food!

Its pretty good the atmosphere is a classic pub style. Its relatively small but has lots of TVs for sport viewing. The bar tenders are nice. The apps are great and fridays they have happy hour after 4pm with half price apps.. the nachoes are by far the best thing ive had there.
