Karahi Point is all Halal restaurant located in Yonge St. And King, is a top-notch halal Pakistani & Indian cuisine restaurant in Richmond Hill. Serving delicious Lahore dishes from Pakistani Cuisine: Chicken Tikka, Karahi, Naan, Nihari, Biryani & Kebabs. Great Customer service Fine Dining Halal Pakistani & Indian Restaurant, Dine-in Takeout & Catering.
I recently visited Karahi Point. It is not real ethentic Pakistanisfood and exceptional, lacking a bit more flavor. The atmosphere was enjoyable and inviting, making for a nice dining experience. The service was attentive and good as well. Overall, it's a nice spot for casual dining with room for improvement in the food quality
Worst kebab ever. I ordered the Beef Bihari Kebab and received a reddish soggy lump of something. Entirely undercooked and overall inedible. The spices were off. It tasted bitter, which is weird for Pakistani food. I ended up throwing most of it away. Worst kebab that I’ve had in over a decade. For reference - I love Pakistani food but this one was awful. Update - the store offered to make it right (nice of them). Alas, I'm quite sure that I don't want to try another time. I got quite sick, probably from undercooked meat (only ate 1/4 of the kebab) this morning. There's no way I want to repeat that experience.
I didn’t think I’d ever get to a point where I’d have to write a review so bad that I’d be THAT GUY, but here it goes… I recently made the colossal mistake of ordering the boneless white meat chicken Karahi (full portion) from Karahi Point on UberEATS, and honestly, it was so bad, I’m still disgusted. When I opened the container, it looked like a crime scene. The so-called “Karahi” was an absolute watery disaster. There was so much liquid, I had to double-check if I accidentally ordered soup. It looked like someone threw a handful of chicken into a bucket of dirty dishwater and sent it off as a meal. I’m genuinely confused about how they managed to mess up one of the most basic dishes so catastrophically and stay in business. The chicken itself? A complete nightmare. It was as if they’d boiled the pieces in bland water for hours and then decided, “Yep, good enough,” because there wasn’t a single trace of seasoning or flavor. No spice, no richness, nothing. It was just rubbery, tasteless meat floating in what can only be described as a sad, soupy mess. How do you make boneless chicken this bad? I didn’t even think it was possible. By the end, I couldn’t decide if I was more disgusted or confused. This location of Karahi Point should rename themselves as Karahi Water or Karahi Soup because they clearly are blind and unable to taste their own food. I don’t know if they’re running a kitchen or a chemistry experiment gone wrong, but this was a complete insult to my taste buds. If you’re thinking about ordering from here, do yourself a favor and don’t. Save your appetite, your dignity, your money and RUN! Run as far away as you can from this location. This was, without exaggeration, the worst meal I’ve ever had. Zero stars if I could give that rating.
Very beautiful venue, nice decorated and spacious. Great friendly service. Food is full of spices, very tasty and fresh.
We dined in yesterday with a group of 11 people from around the world. Everyone loved the food. Esp the butter chicken, BBQ platter, biryani, lahori fish, beef behari kabab, goat karhai and Peshawari Karhai. Everyone loved the Peshawari Karhai. I felt Nihari fell short but the rest of the food was amazing. Special thanks to our servers: young guy with glasses and the yound girl. Should have asked for their names. They were very helpful and friendly and made the night pleasant for all the guests.
Not satisfied with the portion and quality of the food. We ordered the butter chicken for take out and the chicken was chalky, and powdery, it was an over cooked chicken. The portion was small and it came with 2 small pieces of chicken. The butter chicken curry was very watery and was not thick and I have had plenty shares of butter chicken in the past and this was not the place for it. The spice level was extremely spicy for a mild. I can tolerate spice but for a mild level spice it didn't deliver that expectation. The nahiri beef stew curry, again the "mild" level of spice was extremely spicy, I shouldn't be in pain for a mild. I can tolerate spice but for a "mild" it exceeded the volume of spicy. The food should not have been unbearable to consume. The portions are small, and you get one 2 small pieces of beef. For the price you pay it should be a bigger portion. I will not be returning or recommending to others Photos for reference! Huge disappointment for someone who craves for a good spot for Indian cuisine.
A true gem for lovers of authentic Indian cuisine. Complex flavors and perfectly cooked spices. Karahi Point is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors.
Consistently good food with a great ambiance and friendly staff. Dined in a few times and also catered kebab platters. Food have been excellent each time. Our favorites our the beef seekh kebab, chicken seekh kebab and chicken white karahi, dal makhani with fresh butter or garlic naan. Got a chicken Biryani long time ago and it was decent. Their chutneys are really good too and they serve masala onions which a lot of places don't anymore.
Don t forget to visit this gem in Richmond Hill! It s our family s favourite for dinner and brunch. We always order the chicken pakora, bihari kabab and chicken karahi. They have brunch on the weekends and the paratha (flaky flatbread) just melts in your mouth! A must visit.
This is really amazing place and their food and service is top notch, i have visited so many other pakistani restaurants but karahi point is best, their reshmi handi and beef seekh kababs are my favourite. Also, the atmosphere and their service is best. Special thanks to Arsh and manisha who made our experience worthy. Their prices are affordable and a must visit place. I recommend this place to all the people seaking authentic pakistani food.
Had a wonderful dining experience. We had beef bihari kabab, goat karahi and chicken tikka biryni. Their food was amazing special thanks to Arsh, who helped us to decide this amazing dishes. The ambience is very good with a huge party space. I am planning to host my anniversary party soon. Definately coming soon.
I had the worst experience at Karahi Point in Richmond Hill. It was my first time trying Indian food, and it turned out to be a disaster. I ordered Chicken Tikka Biryani and found a bone in the rice not just any bone, but one that looked like it came from pre-eaten food. It was revolting, and I completely lost my appetite. When I pointed it out, they claimed, That s how we cook the rice. Honestly, that explanation made no sense whatsoever. The restaurant was freezing cold, and we had to keep our jackets on the entire time. On top of that, the food was late, which just made everything worse. When I told them I didn t enjoy my meal and asked for the entire bill to be waived (as there were only $30 left after they removed the dish with the bone), they refused. Instead, they said, We already took this meal off your bill. What else can we do to make you happy? Well, the damage was already done. My partner and I didn t enjoy the meal at all, and their lack of understanding or effort to fix the situation was unacceptable. I told them I would write this review, and I m sticking to my word. As someone who loves dining out and is generally not picky, this was hands down the worst dining experience I ve ever had. Save your time, money, and appetite don t go here.
Good food, Bihari kabab tastes amazing!
Talk about mixed reviews! I ordered their weekends - only dish, Halwa Puri and was pleasantly surprised as to how good it was. I went a step further and suggested to friends to try out this place. Fast forward two weeks and I eagerly ordered the same dish once again. Big mistake. Either the chef was absent or had been replaced, but this time, things were different. Let me just say, I was the only one at home who take a few bites because I didnt want to waste food. In all fairness, I took the Puri back to the restaurant to show them, instead of just giving them a bad review. The manager thanked me and told me that the owner would be calling me. I waited 8 days and decided to share my experience since that did not happen. Update 1: Received the owners reply wherein I was advised to call Hasnain, though the lady manager specifically took my number and said that the owner would call me! No thank you, I will not be calling.
Karahi point food is very tasty and fresh. One of the staff saima is very friendly and always welcome in a friendly way. The chef Ali makes a food very delicious and also all the staff is very good and make orders on time. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Quantity is less Taste can be much better Food
Delicious food and great service
TASTY FOOD AND GOOD SERVICE. SAIMA WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.
Great service Good Food specially great service by Saima baji she was very nice and professional
Nice food and professional staff.
Had an amazing dining experience. The food was bursting with authentic Indian flavors the butter chicken and garlic naan were a highlight! Great ambiance, friendly staff specifically Saima, and reasonable prices. A must-try for anyone craving Indian cuisine. Will definitely be back!
THEY SERVED US RAW CHICKEN in the chicken biryani. We asked the server to send it back to the kitchen and she came back saying the chicken is supposed to look like that . Terrible food and terrible service. The entire time we were there, flies kept coming to our table ( a big sign that this place is DIRTY). The beef kebab was pink and underdone leaving us feeling sick after dinner. DO NOT DINE HERE.
Really good food with fair prices, chicken tikka was amazing
Amazing food as always. Very friendly staff and very good service by Saiima!!
Good was delicious, reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly. Saima was very sweet , will definitely come back
Just want to share my experience that you can only Enjoy KARAHI when it s freshly cooked. Second, Karahi Point Richmond Hill is one of the best place to Enjoy Fresh Karahi & Barbecue food in different flavours & Spices. Food
One of the best places to eat Karahi! Food was amazing, service was beyond amazing! We had a lovely time.
Went in a big group and everything was superb Dietary restrictions: Halal Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
I Just love this place. Food is so good. They also have lunch special. Which is great. Staff is kind. Good Job.100/100
Recently I dined at this restaurant and, unfortunately, this visit did not match the high-quality experiences I ve had before. We ordered three different dishes, but all tasted quite similar, lacking the distinct flavors we expected. Additionally, the chicken in the karahi had an unusual smell, which was disappointing given the consistently good food we ve enjoyed previously. One of the things I ve always loved about your place is the spacious environment, making it perfect for family and friends. I hope that you will consider maintaining your food quality, as it s a big part of why we keep coming back.
This is the second time my friend and I visited restaurant. A few months back when we were there we ordered Karahi chicken and quite liked it so we specially drove back there but the experience was very different this time around. Ordered Chicken sheekh kabob as an appetizer which took forever to arrive. While waiting for it we thought we should order the main course as this was already taking very long. We looked around but none of the servers were visible. After a while we made eye contact with one of the girls who took our order for Karahi chicken with bone (spicy). The sheekh kabob was alright but when finally the main course arrived we were very disappointed. It seemed like the very little gravy in the karahi was cooked seperately and cubes of blande, boneless chicken were thrown in. There wasnt enough gravy to actually eat the garlic naan with. We wanted to talk to the server but again none were found. The restaurant wasnt even busy but the servers were too busy chatting behind the counter hidden away from the guests. My friend walked up to the counter and asked one of them to come to our table. We showed her the inside of the chicken piece which was white and flavorless. Overall not the best experience because we ended up forcing ourselves to eat instead of actually enjoying the meal. Not worth what we ended up paying for the 2 items we ordered. Will not go back
Visited for dinner yesterday with my friends, I must say best food in richmond hill. Chicken charsi karahi was the best. Naans were crispy and best part of the dinner was kheer. Will be back soon and Will definitely recommend this place.
Simply outstanding in every way; food, service and cleanliness; I first went to Karahi Point in 2014, the original location, and the food was amazing; This location brought back the same fond memories of my first visit. I live in Richmond Hill and am thrilled to have a Karahi Point just a short drive away
WOW, I really feel fresh food meaning here
My friend and I found this restaurant on Google Maps and went there for lunch. The restaurant has a beautiful and spacious environment, and personally, I liked the decor. You can see beautiful Pakistani paintings on the walls. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We ordered a chicken biryani and a lamb biryani. The food was ready in about 20 minutes. I found the food quality to be average because I have experience with Indian and Pakistani cuisine. The rice was well-spiced and fragrant, and the dishes had an appealing level of spiciness. If you dont like spicy food, this restaurant might not be for you! In my opinion, the lamb biryani was tastier than the chicken biryani, so definitely give it a try. Pakistani bread is also famous and delicious be sure to taste it! The prices were reasonable as well. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.
Good & Tasty food
Portion and quality of food has taken a nose dive. Not worth the money anymore. The serving sizes for all dishes are literally halved, been eating here for 3 years and recently its gotten pretty bad.
I order ghost karahi and chicken biryani s and some naan I told I want mild no spicy but they give us spicy and ghot karahi tase no good and service very bad I spent $87 I am never go again
Saima auntys hospitality is top and the food is really tasty with quality highly recommended to visit
Chicken and lamb dishes were good. Vegetarian options: There are veg options as well. Food : 5/5 |
So good
Delicious taste , friendly staff,
Good food, nice and clean place and staff is good too specially Saima madam is very good
Went during a quiet Wednesday at 1pm, the employees were very kind and served us promptly. The paneer tikka was amazing. That would be the one dish I d reorder if I returned, otherwise the chicken was a bit undercooked for my preference. The bread- naan & roti- was fresh and delicious! Solid food with big portions! The Alaska cake was also a delicious dessert option.
The food was good, our waitress Neelam was really nice, friendly and had a great personality.
Karahi point is a good placefinch and 400 is the best richmond hill no good does not taste like the dishes mentioned need a better cook
Food was incredible (Had the Butter Chicken), staff was friendly and helpful. Lovely place definitely recommend.
Amazing food. Thank you
Chicken Karahi was ok, chicken was sort of chewie. Service was good, clean restaurant, tea was good.
I am from USA. Visiting Canada. Happened to go to karahi point. Their beef Bihari Kabab is superb. All other food is also good. Great ambiance and service. Make it a place to visit.
I ve been coming here since it opened. Enjoy the food. Always great service.
Kadhai chicken is out of the world. So so good. I m sure they have repeat customers as the food has been consistently good. Chicken seekh kabab also a must try!!! Staff Neelam was really helpful and polite.
Bu Sheo Jian Fangsou s twisted softness Sister-in-law s fandom Collect the delicious food If it s late, it will be sweet amazing really yummy Wheelchair accessibility: True fork
Their was warm welcome by Saima . She did great job in handling customers moreover food was also too good . Must try once nice experience.
Karahi point is my favourite place since they open it. It s beautifully decorated. I love Pakistani art on walls. Recently I went for breakfast and we loved it. We ordered halwa pori and omelet paratha both were 10/10. Must try their breakfast menu. My kids also like kabab karahi as well. I tried butter chicken, tawa qeema, bbq items, nihari. Naans are always very soft and fresh. Staff is very friendly. It s my family favourite place as it s also close to my home. Thank you karahi point team to open such a beautiful first Pakistani restaurant in Richmond hill.
Excellent Bihari kebab and Karahi, both lamb and chicken, consistent and authentic in flavour every time I ve visited!
Staff were very friendly. Fooad was delicious. Didnt take long to get our food.
We got take out chicken biryani, butter chicken and naan. The butter chicken and naan was great. We didn t like the chicken biryani. There wasn t much flavour and the portion was small. I found it to be really pricy for what you are getting compared to other pakistani/indian style restaurants.
So so food but expensive , other locations are bettet
Unprofessional service. Service is very important to me and this franchise location does not have good customer service. Finch corporate location and the islington location are much better
Love the food
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Karahi Point, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for the evening. I decided to try the White Karahi, and it was absolutely divine. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend everyone to visit at least once for the best food and environment.
Today s I ve visited karahi point, I tried so many dishes like lahori channa, daal tadka, chicken karahi and also, tried all the different naans, garlic naan is my favourite. Must try! I would highly recommend anyone who enjoys indian and pakistani food to come to this restaurant. Moreover, service is decent, with friendly staff.
Really happy with this place. We ordered Lamb karahi, Chicken biryani, Malai tikka and butter chicken. Food was delicious and ambience was elegant too and sophisticated, perfect for special occasions. Great customer service.Overall. i was thoroughly impressed by this restaurant.
The food here is amazing, specially Karahi chicken and paneer Tikka. I also tried garlic Naan and sesame Naan, those are so delicious. If Im talking about place, the decor and restaurant itself was gorgeous and clean.
Finally I found the restaurant which takes you back to your home town in terms of taste and authenticity of the dishes. We ordered chicken kabobs, Tikka and fried fish and in main course chicken karahi, goat curry, biryani. Each and every item was delicious and well made. A big thanks to their chefs who are preparing best food in the town. I highly recommend this place for food and ambiance, you should try it by yourself.
Best Karahi in Richmond Hill
Best Biryani in Richmond Hill
Karahi Point in Richmond Hill! is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Pakistani cuisine! From the moment you walk in, youre greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The food is absolutely phenomenal each dish is bursting with rich flavors and prepared to perfection. The chicken karahi, in particular, is a must-try; its savory, spicy, and cooked with just the right amount of heat. The naan is soft and fresh, perfect for mopping up the delicious gravies. I wish I had taken a picture before I devoured it all! The service is impeccable, and the staff goes out of their way to ensure you have a fantastic dining experience. Whether youre new to Pakistani food or a longtime fan, Karahi Point offers a menu that caters to all tastes. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable meal. Its definitely one of the best Pakistani restaurants in town!
Amazing fresh food and clean place. I tried the butter chicken with naan, palak paneer and chicken biryani. Everything was so flavourful and rich. I ll definitely be ordering from here often when I m in the area.
Firstly, When we entered, receptionist said we are planning to close early as they dont care about customers. Secondly, they were pushing us to eat fast. Very bad management. Didnt give enough chance to read the menu.
Neelam was helping us, everyone there is very kind, the food is so good!
Excellent food, had tandoori roti with Palak Paneer and malai kulfi. Just perfect .
Not happy with the waitress. We got chicken seekh kabob and it was served with lettuce underneath it. When we asked why there is lettuce, she said there is no onions, or sometimes there is onions or lettuce. When we asked for a replacement, she said we cant give. We finished our meal then she brought the replacement.
Amazing food ! Tho it was super busy we had no complaints with any food or service. Would like to specially mention Neelam. Her service with a smile was very welcoming. Very pleased with the food and service.
The catering process was very easy and neelam was great!
Love the food. We order karahi chicken and garlic naan. The server Mansi made sure we were happy with the food and taste. She made sure the second karahi was spicy as our choice. Both Neelam and Mansi was really nice..I loved their service more than the food. Will visit this place for sure again.
Everything was great.very good experience
As you can see from our faces, we enjoyed it here. We got what we paid for and more- thanks Karahi Point for the great food and great service! Thanks especially to Neelam who served us today! Two thumbs up!
Neelam and Menisha were great hosts and the food was beyond great. The lamb in spinach was the best in the GTA.
Best spot in Richmond Hill for Pakistani food
Looking for delicious Pakistani food, this is a good one to try, hot and spicy food is waiting for you. Nice assortment of sweets after food
When I visit a restaurant, I want to see LEVEL. I am sharing my experience. I visited the restaurant during a quiet period, being one of the first customers of the day. Once I entered the restaurant, I felt an unpleasant smell and noticed uncleaned sofas. The service. The waiter met clients with headphones. The uniform had holes. There was no attention to the client. During the serving of the table, the menu book was placed on the plate, which I was supposed to use for food. The food was OK, but just food I would order at any take-out place at a lower price.
Hopeless place, I have to wait almost 45 minutes to get a wrap with no customer in the restaurant
Everything was delicious - server Meelam was super friendly!
Amazing food! Great service from neelam !
Amazing food neelam is really very sweet n kind
Amazing food u have to try white chicken karhai
Worst experience. 1. The food was not up to the mark and was very expensive. 2. The 4 (1 inch) spring rolls were the worst because they were frozen, the same pack you can get at the Walmart for 2 - 3 bucks, for that they are charging 8 dollars for 4 pieces. 3. The garlic naan was very chewy and was hard to swallow. But the Chutney with the spring rolls was mind blowing.
The staff was friendly and service was good. But unfortunately food was below average. We ordered Lamb Kashmiri Karahi which was full of oil and there was no gravy in it. The quantity of meat was good but the oil was too much.
They Sell stale old food, causes sickness and tummy troubles So I tried to reply to your post, but unable to as you disabled it. I had first contacted karahi point before writing the review. But unfortunately the lady who answered just said I apologise and will ensure it does not happen. Also said that they used fresh food.
Next level food, very unique karahi options, sticks to genuine flavours. Must try and chicken karahi top recommended. The owner is also kind hearted and very welcoming person, all in all a very good hospitable space.
Very bad and expensive service. I ordered Aloo tikki and they charged it 7:50 dollars but when i see the order it gives me 3 tikkis and one chilli souce. Thats not good deal expensive. They dont give me channa tikki or any kind of salad with it. So my first experience with them is very bad.
Did not have half the things listed on their menu. Waste of time.
Great first time experience at KP! Neelam was our server and was an amazing host! The karahi chicken and garlic naan were delicious! Well be coming back to try many other options!
Delicious and authentic food. Fresh naan and excellent service.
Delicious Karahi chicken. Butter chicken dish was dry.
Excellent food and service! We will be back, thank you Food
Everything was perfect
Good place with friendly service although it is a bit pricey.
Very unprofessional behaviour by staff.. we called before coming to the store at 10:20 and store closes at 11 pm. The person on call said yes we are open and you can come instore and order. Me and My family drove for 12 minutes to reach the store. we entered at 10:34 and they said our chef is gone, sorry we cant take order This is so unprofessional and wastage of time. Staff should be trained to be honest with the customers . Open sign should be turned off
great food and service . thankyou neelam!
Had a Very good experience regarding food and service. The server Tahir is really good at his service. He recommended a dish which was delicious.

Excellent experience. Food was so tasty and service was Excellent
Service is too slow. One person running around. Food was okay but too Heavy and oily. Naans are like plastic. Probably wont try again. I hope they make some changes Food
Excellent Food & CustomerService.
Great food
Amazing food !
Our waitress, Neelam, was exceptional and quick on everything we asked of her. Food was also amazing we ll definitely be coming again!
Best Pakistani food I ever tasted. Warm atmosphere, friendly stuff. Good service. Parking: Parking on plaza is free. Usually you could find a place except on weekend midday
We came here again and as usual food was awesome. Great improvement. Neelam was an awesome host in recommending the choices and service. Well done team.
Awesome food excellent service Server name Neelam
Been there couple of times and quality is same always...Food is exceptional and service is good.
Our server was so polite and helpful with recommending dishes from the menu. All the food was amazing and very fresh. We will definitely be dining here again :)
Nihari was the best
Amazing food and amazing people. Tahir offered us a great service Food
We ordered the chicken peshawari karahi and the white karahi. Both were delicious. Everything, including the naan, raita and salad, were fresh. I would highly recommend this location. Service was great as well. Tahir was a friendly and gracious host! We will definitely be coming back :)
We went with family for dinner. The restaurant has a great ambiance and we received a warm welcome from Tahir (who was great!) We ordered the peshawari karahi and the white karahi- both were fantastic. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this location for your next family dinner.
Gave me food poisoning - not coming back here again
Really happy we found this place, Ive been looking for good Indian food in the GTA and this place really hits the spot. I really enjoy Indian & Pakistani food but often find really poor quality in a lot of places, but Karahi Point is really on point! The chicken kabab on hot plate was amazing, I tried all the different naans theyre all worth getting. The butter chicken is good and flavourful, hits the spot. The dish that really blew me away was the Chicken Karahi, so flavourful and aromatic. Must try! Would definitely come back or even order takeout. I dined in, the location is clean and not terribly busy. They seem to do more takeout than eat in business. I would highly recommend anyone who enjoys mughlai cuisine, they dont skim on the ingredients or spices, so looking forward to my next visit. Kid-friendliness: Brought my 17 month old with us, we brought our own booster seat, but the staff there are friendly to the toddler. He didnt eat any of the food there (we brought our own), but he was happy while there.
Been here many times and food is always good. Great service .. do try ..
Great food and friendly service. It s our go to restaurant for South Asian food.
Amazing food, excellent service must try :)
Excellent food taste and quantity must go to place for authentic Pakistani karahi. Highly Recommend 5****** Food
Excellent Excellent place for Karahi, the Behari kabab was flavourful, soft and perfect along with the other dessert, appetizers and platters. Highly recommended.

Amazing foood! And the hostesss -Neelam was so so kind and helpful! Definitely recommend! Food
We had an amazing dinner date at Karahi Point. We ordered the chicken karahi boneless and it was very delicious. The flavour was exquisite. Neelam was our server and she took care of all our needs in a timely manner. We would definitely come back again. Thank you Neelam for your outstanding service!
Food was great and Neelam was great at her service, a good place when you crave food cooked at home.
We were 45 people of group we had amazing time goat and chicken Karahi was very much delicious tandoori naan chicken seek kabob wow Best part their staff is amazing good customer service Food
We were looking for something to eat past 10 pm on a week night, but most restaurants were closed. We remembered that the former Symposium in our neighborhood, which closed during Covid years, had been replaced by a new restaurant, though we didnt know its name. So, we drove over and discovered it was called Karahi Point Richmond Hill. We were relieved to see they closed at 11 pm, giving us time for a late dinner. Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed. But we felt bad for coming in so late and so we suggested to maybe come another time. The staff assured us it was fine, so we sat down and ordered. We chose a barbecue platter, Daal Gosht (lamb curry), and butter naan. When the food arrived, we were impressed by its presentation and enticing aroma. Despite expecting average quality due to the late hour, the food exceeded our expectations. The meat was delicious and showed no signs of being rushed or subpar. We are not very familiar with south Asian dishes, but we were very satisfied with the food quality. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was superb. The young man serving us was polite and attentive. As they prepared to close, a lady from the kitchen checked if we needed more naan before the kitchen closed. This was the second time we were informed about the last call for ordering food, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction. We had a great time and will definitely return soon. The team at Karahi Point Richmond Hill clearly takes pride in their work and customer service!
Don t order garlic naan and shahi paneer , the garlic naan was too thick and hard to chew
Amazing food and love the service. Mansi took care of our table really well and Neelam makes some really good (soft)drinks. We ordered the chicken pakora, chicken & beef bihari, chicken karahi and naans. All were 10/10 Food
Neelam was amazing
The best fish karahi I have had, great service from Neelam! Drinks were really very good !
Neelam gave the best service!! Food was excellent, best Bihaari kabobs, and chicken tikka. And to top it off was Neelams world class service. Food
Excellentt place very spacious with excellent service and miss Nelam gave us a excellent service please do go and have your food in this place u will love it as we did tonight
Authentic flavors, excellent service! Bahari kebabs, lamb karahi are my favorite here. Thank you for the exceptional service Neelam! Food : 5/5
The food here is amazing, specially the paneer Tikka. Loved the great service by Neelam. Would definitely visit again.
The service was awful! Our server got our order wrong and they wouldn t change the dish. ** Edit: We reviewed our order with him a couple of times and corrected him when he had the wrong order down. The food was nothing special. Our server told us the butter chicken was mild spicy and that it was the least spicy item on the menu so we ordered it for our toddler with a side of white rice. The white rice was spicy and the butter chicken was beyond spicy. It really ruined our experience to see our toddler unhappy with his food. The lamb in the lamb biryani dish was overcooked and had a weird smell. ** Edit: We came here to try the Pakistani food, not chicken nuggets! The server could have simply said the dishes are all very spicy and we would have walked out! We tried giving their yogurt to our toddler to help him cool off his mouth and even that was spicy! The restaurant was quite big but empty. We were the only dine-in customers. They did have quite a few take-outs while we were there.
Just an OK place, the food was was ordinary and average quality.
The food was fantastic and full of Pakistani and Indian flavors. 11/10 recommended! Our waiter was Neelam her service was quick and good. Thanks to her we had a good experience.
The food is great, no complaints about it. However, the portions are really small for the price. Why charge so much for a portion that can feed 2 people when you mainly have large groups coming in? Staff is good but they forget a lot of stuff so we were constantly reminding or having to ask for stuff (i.e our drink orders that never came) Also, dishes were dirty so we had to ask for new ones. For the price paid, I expect high level of service but it was mediocre at best.
We are a group of 28. The food was delicious and freshly prepared and the service was to notch. The service by the head server Ms. Neelam was much appreciated. Vegetarian options: Daal
A great restaurant to eat out. Server Neelam was very helpful and friendly.
The food was excellent and the service was even better. Our server was Neelum, she was lovely and extremely courteous
Went here with my parents, honestly, kind of a disappointing experience. We had the kebabs and chicken tikka biryani. Pretty surprised by the number of positive reviews. The issues were as following: 1. Given visibly dirty pitchers and glasses 2. When asking the server the difference between two menu items, we just got a flat I don t know , without further initiative to ask someone else. This had to be prompted. 3. Long wait times. Had to wait >45 minutes for 3 dishes 4. The kebabs and biryani weren t as flavourful/authentic as some of the other restaurants in the city (ex. Lahore Tikka House, Makkah Restaurant). The Seekh kebabs were also burnt (view image). Only redeeming meal item was the chicken tikka which was excellent, rich flavour and tender. I would not recommend coming here Edited June 20th, 2024. Removed old photos, added photos from recent visit. Increased from 1 to 5 stars. Tried the seekh kebabs, Karahi, biryani, and Bihari kebab. Everything was delicious, all the meats were very tender with rich flavour. They really did improve a lot relative to my visit several years ago. I would recommend going again.
The experience was enhanced by excellent service provided Neelam the server who attended to us
Good Pakistani food and service is fast and efficient. Would like to specially mention our server Neelam. Her service with a smile and obliging nature was very welcoming. Very pleased with the food and service.
We went there with a group of friends for dinner. The ambiance was very good and the food truly delicious and fresh. Really enjoyed the Karahi Chicken along with the kababs and the mouthwatering daal!! The service was impeccable. Special shout out to our server Neelam who went out of her way to get all the ordered items served to us on time piping hot!!. Will definitely visit again.
The food was so spicy, that all of our household got stomach aches after eating the dinner, the karahi, the seekh kabab were extremely spicy, same with biryani. Pakistani food is not just about being spicy, someone need to tell them and may take them to some nice restaurants in Pakistan where there is a balance of taste and somewhat spicy.
The food was amazing. The texture of meat was commendable! Nice atmosphere! The owner definitely paid a hefty sum to build this place it has artistic touch. Food : 5/5
Amazing experience with staff in ordred for pickup and just changed my mind for dine in and staff agreed at once food was osm liked the malai kulfi most
Nihari is not the greatest here but Bihari kebab was excellent so would recommend it Wait staff suggested us to order two orders of nihari which was too much for your family so we asked if we can switch it for something else and they were accommodating. Overall it was good experience with kebabs .
Delicious atnentic food, friendly staff
Ordered butter chicken on Ubereats and chose the MILD option. When our food arrived everything was so spicy to the point nobody could eat it. Saw that someone else had left a similar review so I guess they don t care about customers feedback.
Fantastic food. Highly recommended. Just one issue is the delay to bring all the food .
Felt must share and hopefully this wonderful restaurant will read it and note it for their staff and kitchens. I found your restaurant a few years ago through Uber Eats. As a lover of your foods, I tried you and and my first experience was absolutely wonderful. I have, from time to time continued to order from your restaurant whenever the urge for you cuisine takes hold of me. I have noticed on my last few orders that any requests made in instructions are ignored, and, even when I ordered specifically from the choice given to me, it turns up wrong. Today, ordered Tawa Qeemaa, Garlic Naan and ras mali. I know exactly how Qeemas are supposed to be as well as the heat content. I ordered regular (there was no mild choice) instead of spicy AND did NOT request the less oil choice because I always use your lovely naan to eat this dish with. Needless to say when it arrived, it was as dry as a bone and very hot. I tried pouring the very watery raita over it to no avail. Will not be able to finish. Very disappointed. Can you guys not assume that others who dont share your culture dont understand or appreciate your cuisine? Thank you.
It was good place to eat desi foods. Ambiance was very boring but food was good special lahori fish n pishawari karahi. Dessert was also yum kulfi faloda so it is average place.
Did a motorcycle course near by, sat down there was six of us. Said they couldn t get us in and out during our lunch. Due to the table they had.
Plain rice 7 bucks, ya ok. Hard pass on this place. Never again.
Delicious food with affordable prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Must visit this place with your family.
Food was very delicious and service was superb by Arsh
Nice food and great service by arsh
Nice food and great environment
I felt fried eggs and parathas were burnt
Food was ok. Not that great. The place was empty but still the staff wanted us to order ASAP. Karahi was not upto the point and the boti was ok.
Iftar buffet at Richmond Hill locationwas not worth. Very disappointing. The buffet is very pricy, and there wasnt enough items to justify the price. No salads, no fruits. Just 2 average sweets. There was only 1 type of naan. No fresh juice, no hot drinks. Better to order ala carte, we could buy more for the price. This was normally our favourite restaurant. And had recommended it to multiple people all the time. Its still. But we would never go for iftar buffet until they improve it.
What a disaster to go there in Ramadan.
The food was ok but the cost is on higher side. Recently went for Sheri , again the cost is on a higher side , the parata and eggs omlate good. If the management adjust their prices that might help to attract more customers.
The food is a disaster! Ordered Tikka Chicken Biryani which was okayish but was simply chicken rice with chicken tikka on top. Second order was white chicken karahi which tasted like boiled chicken with ginger and garlic paste. Had it exchanged for butter chicken but that tasted like tomato puree with chicken. Never going back and would recommend not to try this at all. Mint Margarita was good and hence 2 stars. Cheers!
Not a good buffet for Iftar, No hot drink to start with, limited food Very disappointing Not a pleasant environment Food : 1/5 |
First visit for a take out. Clean & Cozy. Friendly welcome, went through the menu . The food was very tasty and healthy. Thanks for the suggestions neelum. Food
Had reserved the table for buffet, but unfortunately they did not had buffet and we went for ala carte, tbh so fresh and good karahi and bbq platter falooda kulfi was the best
We had ordered catering trays for 10 people. Definitely would recommend this place if you want to organize any party at ur place! Just loved the karahi and was absolutely the way we wanted ! Naans were really very good and soft even after 45 mins . Chat papdi was so crispy and really good ! Thank you Neelam, you are so sweet and the best !
I recently dined at karahi point richmond hill and was impressed by the inviting ambiance and attentive service. The menu offered a wide variety of Indian-pakistani cuisine well to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, with each dish showcasing a perfect balance of spices. The staff (neelam & arshpreet) were friendly and ensured a pleasant dining experience. While the prices were slightly on the higher side, the generous portion sizes justified the value. The restaurant maintained high standards of cleanliness, enhancing the overall dining experience. Overall, my experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic Indian pakistani food
Karahi Point is an absolute gem in the Pakistani and Indian cuisine! From the moment you step in, the ambiance transports you to the vibrant streets of South Asia. The menu boasts an array of tantalizing dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and spices. We went for a dinner and the staff was really engaging and polite especially our server Neelam. Overall the restaurant was affordable and really worth it!
Neelam here was an excellent server. Being a foodie, I loved the ambience, staff and overall experience of the place. Must try for everyone!
Exceptional dinner experience. The staff was warm, friendly and very helpful especially our waitress Neelam. I loved their Daal Makhani and would recommend it to anyone who s looking for vegetarian options. A specific shout out to the chef Mr. Himanshu. All in all a wonderful experience. I would visit again. Thank you
Worth buying combos coz it includes naans, biryani, karahi and even drinks. Good takeout option, will be able to try everything in good affordable price ! Good suggestions from ms.saima thank you Food : 5/5
We had iftar buffet here on last Friday ! Amazing karahi options and must say barbecue were so good . They also had custard which was exceptionally delicious, my kids really loved it . Naans were served hot and were crispy overall Must say really very good ! Our server Neelam was really so kind and helping.
Tasty seekh kebabs Nice atmosphere Thanks Neelam!
We went karahi point yesterday with our family for iftar buffet. The food was delicious. BBQ was too good . Naans karahi were good. Naans were served hot to our table. Chai is a little expensive but was worth it, too good. Special thanks to Neelam, she s very kind and polite . Will definitely go again !
Karahi Point deserves applause for not only serving delicious food but also for maintaining a standard of excellence in customer service. The restaurants inviting ambiance, combined with their flavorful dishes, creates a dining experience that keeps customers coming back for more. Kudos to Karahi Point for consistently delivering top-notch service and culinary delights! Thank you neelum for exceptional service
Karahi Points outstanding fusion of delicious food and flawless service is truly deserving of a standing ovation. Special thanks to arshpreet and neelam for making our experience so much better and for the recommendations.
Ambience was amazing, staff were super friendly and food was delicious as always ! I was served by Neelam .She really helped us to decide by recommending good dishes . It was such a great experience. Thank you . Food
One of the most authentic Indian and Pakistani food. Amazing vibes and really good team, we were served by neelam on our last visit and a must visit place if you love indian food Vegetarian options: Alot of vegetation options are available Parking: Sometimes hard but yes one can find Kid-friendliness: Very friendly
I just ordered their special that they have on Uber. First of all didn t get the Second order, So I called them and they only told me that I ve purchased one. End of conversation didn t really help me out And the order that I got the chicken was so little and the rest was filled up with rice and salad. ( I see others have the same problem) I m not the one who usually complains but I own a business down the street and they really don t know how to deal with customer service until it s on Google. I highly recommend to find a better place, and I m gonna recommend all my clients not to go here. And no I don t want to reach the manager should fix this issues because it s happening often.
Ordered on UberEats. I ordered mild butter chicken and wrote in notes: no spicy. Options were mild, regular, spicy. My order was spicy that I couldnt eat anymore after a couple bites. This is my first time ordering from here so Im not sure if their mild butter chicken is spicy to begin with. Very disappointed. Plain rice was kinda dry. Garlic Naan and Gulab Jamun were good.
Amazing service , great food and warm people always welcome to come back.
Overall a good experience. With warm food and amazing taste
Food is okay. Bihari kababs quality is not the same
Great Food excellent service by Neelam. She explained and customized dishes very well.
Excellent service and delicious food at Karahi Point, Richmond Hill. The owner Hasnain was very warm & welcoming. Our server Taher went above & beyond to make sure our order was served hot & fresh and on time. If you are looking to celebrate Eid or any other occasion this is a must recommend halal Pakistani cuisine in Richmond Hill. 5 out of 5. Will visit again soon inshallah.
Had a great experience at Karahi Point in Richmond Hill. The food is simply amazing for all the chicken karahi lovers. Their white chicken handi is quite delicious. The owner is very welcoming and makes sure you get top notch customer service. A must visit place
Been ordering take out for the white karahi and its always on point! My son (picky eater) loves it!
Established in 2014 as the first karahi spot in Canada, Karahi Point (13237 Yonge St Unit B1, Richmond Hill, ON L4E 3L2) has been a prime destination for anyone craving Pakistani cuisine. Hoping to try some comforting food from home, I paid them a visit, only to be utterly delighted by their menu offerings! The classic combination of chicken tikka masala curry, raita with salad, and garlic naan is one that is legendary among Pakistani cuisine enthusiasts! Karahi Point made the combination even more iconic - the chicken tikka masala curry was filled with tender pieces of marinated and grilled chicken bathed in a velvety, tomato-based sauce enriched with aromatic spices, while the naan was buttery and flaky, with a delicately tangy flavor. Paired with a refreshing raita yogurt and salad that helped me cool down from the heat outside, the meal was utterly delicious and left me wanting more! With over 10 locations across Canada (8 of them being in Southern Ontario), Karahi Point is sure to make its way into your neighborhood, and more importantly, your hearts, as one of the finest halal restaurants in Canada. Be sure to check out their chicken platters, biryanis, and beverage offerings - highly recommended! To hear more about this review, follow us @eatinontario on Instagram, TikTok, & Facebook.
Im sure the food is great, but as an uber driver, these guys take FOREVER to get orders ready. Ive picked up multiple times here and without fail, they make you wait at least 5-10 minutes. Thats not how the uber eats system works. Never once was thanked for waiting or offered a simple beverage for my time. I see the great reviews here, but something should be said for the way they treat delivery drivers.
Karahi Point in Richmond Hill boasts a wonderful ambience, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The food is delicious, although a tad oily, its bursting with authentic flavors that satisfy the palate. Service is decent, with friendly staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Goat kharai was horrible, certainly it was pre cooked and was pricey too
Never go to this store very bad service and rude specially with the young lady working there . Takes long time and then talk very badly instead of aplogizing . 0 star behavior
Long wait time I ordered food and took me 30 min to wait because the lady was helping other customers and not preparing my food even though i called and ordered food through phone . Bad customer service
