I am from out of town where there isn’t any authentic Chinese food. So Good was able to scratch my itch while I was here. I ordered the steamed fish, some choi and sweet and sour pork (a classic). The fish was very fresh and tasty. The Choi was a little oily but it was still good. I don’t think I’ve ever had bad sweet and sour pork so no complaints there. The staff was attentive but if you’re expecting western hospitality, this is not the place (although no authentic Chinese restaurant is)
So good to find a new HK restaurant that focuses on good taste! The menu here is reasonably priced for the HK cafe food that’s available till 5pm. We were impressed by the huge portions & surprisingly good flavours. Baked Fish Fillet w/ Cheese & Cream Sauce was savoury & arrived hot loaded with crispy fillets. Fried rice underneath filled the large oven dish. Curry Beef Brisket Rice was stewed well to achieve really tender tendons. We arrived shortly after 5pm and were allowed to order from the menu minus the free hot milk tea, which was not a big deal. We did notice the environment gets loud, fairly packed with patrons.
Hk style cafe with Chinese cuisine. Good food choice. They use fresh ingredients and serve scrumptious dishes. Very friendly staffs. Just crazy busy during peak hours and quite noisy environments. I prefer go late lunch or early dinner to avoid the crowds.
Feeling elated with this surprising ‘Hidden Neighbourhood Gem’ find! ‘ So Good!! ‘......the chef/owner sure got the name of his restaurant right!! Rarely does one find a restaurant with near perfect execution of every single dish ordered. Our absolutely delightful, humble and value-for-money meal tonight reflects exactly that! First off, the size of the dishes were HUGE!! For the price they were charging, this was totally unexpected! Our party of six ordered 6 dishes and we were stuffed to the hilt by the amount of food presented. We had: - A pre-ordered ‘ Crispy Skin Salt Baked Free Range Chicken ‘. The super crisp lacquered skin was amazing. The chichen so flavourful! Using a bunch of ultra-crispy French fries as garnish was a most enjoyable and masterful - touch ‘! - Stir fried dishes of……‘ Cauliflower with wind-dried Chinese Preserved Meats and sausages ‘, ‘ Port wine glazed Filet Mignon Cubes with Mushrooms and String Beans ‘, ‘ Sliced beef with Chinese Kale aka Gai-Lan ‘ were all wonderfully prepared and packed full of ‘ Wok-Hay ‘ goodness. - A crunchy and umami packed ‘ Fried Jumbo Tiger Prawns and Pumpkins with Salted Duck Egg Yolk coating was addictive and lip-smacking good! - Last but not least, one the BEST and most perfect executions of ‘ Sweet and Sour Pork ‘ we have ever come across in the GTA! Piping hot!...The crunchiness and crispiness was out-of-this-world and the sweet and mildly tangy sauce, so well balanced and delectable. Wow!! And to finish off our near faultless meal….complimentary, fresh house made, ‘ Silken Tofu with ginger syrup ‘ dessert! What a treat! Only down side of tonight’s meal?! The noise-level!.... result of a packed house and one isolated ‘ screaming kid ‘!! Definitely worth returning!
So Good Chinese restaurant is "So Good". We had the snow pea leaves with king oyster mushroom, steamed fish, beef, eggplant, congee, and duck. Each one was flavourful and came out relatively quickly. The specials are posted on the wall which is how we found the duck dish. There was a lively atmosphere and cozy environment perfect for a get together with family and friends!
I came here for lunch which includes a drink between 11am and 5pm. Baked pork chop was tasty. On a Sunday, it became super busy after 12:45pm. Got takeout dinner for two, select your dishes, and it reminded me of an elevated home cooked meal when I was still in grade school. It’s flavoured very well, and I’ll come back again when I want a “home cooked meal.” This is our go-to spot for Cantonese meals.
Nice little cafe with a few large tables and mostly small ones. We made reservations at 6 pm and they got busy just after we arrived. We got the sweet and sour pork: good started fare - the the best I’ve had but decently crispy and saucy, Cantonese chow mien: still had crispy noodles while others were saucy - the bbq pork didn’t have great cuts and were a bit chewy, pork neck and mushrooms: this was a kid favourite (this picture was after it was already half eaten), fish in corn sauce: fish could have been crispier though hard to do so when drenched in sauce, green beans: a bit salty though I guess that’s what makes the dish so tasty! There were a few other options we wanted to try, though stuck with the classics. Portions were a good size and needed a takeout box afterwards. They had complementary dessert for dinner of tofu pudding which is a nice change from the typical red/green bean Chinese dessert. The wait staff was decently friendly and attentive. I thought they forgot, but after a little longer than expected, they would come with the Chili oil, or tea refill or box that we asked for. They were a bit busy. There was a TV with Chinese news. One note is that it was really loud. Many HK cafes are, but this night was particularly loud. Decent all around though nothing so exceptional that we’ll be back right away. Though we probably will be back. The kids took the pictures so hopefully they are good.
We visited the restaurant on the first Sunday since its grand opening and it is packed with customers shortly after it opens at 11am. The dining room is clean and the staffs are friendly. Menu choice is sufficient and prices are reasonable. Quality and taste are above average and portion is the right size. Service is quite slow and this is something they need to improve to keep the customers. They no longer offer the grand opening discount (10%) and their reason is they are too busy and couldn’t keep up with the demand. I will give it a second try in the future and see if their serving time improves or not
Food quality and quantity was good. Service by some staff were great and others not so great.
Very poor service my cousin had came to dine in the waitress was being rude when she was ordering food one of the waitress shouted out and tell my cousin to Shut up her mouth that was so rude very bad customer service how can you tell a customer to shut up my cousin was so mad and left the restaurant
Good: great Seating: I found it uncomfortable, very noisy, but it may be acceptable for others. Service: good Food : 5/5
It doesnt matter what you want. They dont even give you onions, just three or four pieces of meat.
Similar to a Hong Kong-style tea restaurant. The portion size is appropriate, the taste is authentic, and the price is reasonable!
This is a decent Chinese restaurant with a wide variety of dishes. The food is tasty, but I found the portions a bit small. The service is good, but the restaurant is quite noisy due to its size and the crowd, making it difficult to have a conversation. Overall, it s not bad and I ll definitely return, though most likely for takeout.
Food is fast and cheap but hygiene not so much. A waitress went into a washroom stall to pee with her blue gloves and came back out serving customers
My repeated lunch here, and dishes are delicious to me, in Hong Kong style.
The dinner and dishes were pretty good. As for the Hong Kong-style tea restaurant, I only tried it once. I ordered the dry fried beef river and was a little disappointed. It was too bland. Could it be that it has less salt and MSG that everyone likes?
Great place to dine at. Just as their name suggests, their food is so good! Servers always provide great service, when they get busy, just have to be a little more patient. Food is great, their dinner pick your own combos includes rice and sometimes if you asked, they would be willing to give you more soup. Price is really very reasonable, location and parking is good as well!
Recommended King Chicken!
excellent food. Service very nice with friendly staff. A little crowded so reservation is recommended. Ample free parking. Food
We went there as a big group, everything is ok.
Charged 30 cents for each take out box. Not impressed
Good HK dishes, nice environment; Delicious Hong Kong dishes, nice environment.
We found the staff to be very rude. At the time we came in there was no one else waiting for a table. We were left standing at the front as we were asked numerous times how many in your party, wed say 4 and then staff would walk away. Larger groups would come in 5+ and they would seat them. We could clearly see that there were tables available. We would never return. We went to Congee Wong, even though they were very busy, we were greeted by friendly staff, seated within a few minutes, and had a great meal.
Typical of a 1950 style chinese restaurant. No decor. Plain walls with Chinese specials pined on the wall. Very clean.service was good and they do speak English. Very Cantonese style cooking.
The Beef Brisket in Jelly Jelly has no flavor of Jelly at all, and the Baked Pork Chop is so sweet that it s hard to eat.
Tasty food and reasonable price. Do expect a wait during weekends.
The food is no Good !
*The first & last time going there!* It s nearby my new relocating place so I wanna give it a try. The food (soy sauce fried beef noodle and Portuguese style chicken rice taste fair, the service was acceptable as they gave a wrong order drink and returned a correct one immediately. However, until when we pay for the bill that cost $33.65, I paid $35 by cash, the waitress saw and said it s not enough We were pissed off because it is not mandatory to give tips although having a tip culture in Canada.
We picked a few dishes on rice and spaghetti, A steamed ground pork with rice, A bake pork chop on spaghetti. And we shared it. Obviously we all had Hongkong style tea too, which was great. The above was all Hongkong style dishes. The food was good but isnt up to my expectation, except the tea and because the service was excellent, would still give them full stars. However would also advice if read this review to come over and taste it for yourself and comment as well. Parking: its in a small plaza, as such parking is available.
Very fair prices great food. Semi hidden so it s always not that busy. Food
Food is good. Price is reasonable.
Went for lunch because it s rare to find Hong Kong style cafe still doing baked beef tongue rice / spaghetti.
I went to dinner with my daughter and ordered two dishes, T18 (Sweet & Sour Pork w/ Fresh Pineapple) and T15 (Turbot Fish with Maggie Sauce). The turbot fish was not fresh at all; it was all fried, and the lack of freshness couldnt be concealed. It was my first and last time going there.
Good food and friendly atmosphere.
Milk tea is delicious! Braised chicken wing noodles are rich in flavor
Im speechless. Ive been sitting here for ten minutes and no one cares about me
Instant noodles with chicken wings is very tasty. This set lunch comes with 2 eggs and toast, which you cannot go wrong with it. Hot Milk tea was pretty good.
Great food, lots to choose from and at a very decent price. The place was packed, and it was a good thing that we made reservations. The best surprise was the dessert, it was tofu fa (tofu custard)... So good!
Value for money
The food was great. It has a light flavor, very little msg. Food was not oily. The restaurant was packed. So it can be crazy.ped. otherwise, this restaurant has great food.
I really don t like one of the restaurants. They pay guests to pay for them. They completely disrespect the customers. Even though I am a regular customer, basically every restaurant recognizes me when I go there every day. And every time I tip, it s 20% after tax. However, I still tip every time. I am so impressed every time I come here that I won t even think about coming here again. I often go to other restaurants to eat and have never found anything so good.
*Updated* Been back a few times for lunch. Their lunch menu isnt bad, the price and portions are reasonable. There is often a wait during lunch hours. Service wise, it has improved significantly since the first time I came for dinner. I still havent been back to try their dinners yet. *Original* Drove by and saw a new restaurant opened, and decided to try for an early Saturday dinner. Sat down at 6pm, and there were only 2-3 tables. The restaurant soon filled up, partly due to people coming to try a new restaurant, but mainly because the service and waiting time for food to be served was quite ridiculous. We ordered a combo for 3 (3 dishes), and it took about 45-50 minutes to arrive after we ordered (I was about a minute away from walking out). What we thought would be a early quick dinner turned out to be quite a lengthy one. The restaurant itself was quite clean, the food was decent, except I was extremely thirsty afterwards. The steamed fish we got was really overcooked, and the eggplant in the sizzling pot definitely didnt sizzle. It barely had any steam coming out by the time it got to our table. Service-wise...I had to ask and remind the servers for tea/water, utensils, soup. When they brought the dishes, instead of putting it where we were sitting, they just left it on the other side of the table and expected us to get it and move it for ourselves. I get it, new restaurant, theyre busy, theyre trying to figure things out. I hope they will sort everything out soon, because judging by the grumbling by the other tables about their service and wait time, I dont know whether those people (and us) want come back to try again.
Hidden gem in the area. this location always changes but seems to be the best so far. Always really busy after 6pm, would suggest a reservation. Very reasonably priced and good quality.
Great food with great service. Portion of the dishes is reasonable. 5 dishes set dinner with rice, soup and dessert is only approx. $80 + taxes & tips. The only thing which we would take the points away is the space. The space between tables are quite tight. So not too comfortable.
A must try Chinese restaurant which is up to North GTA aera. Highly recommend
Need more items on menu
Dropped by for lunch, service was quick and food came out fast. Got the baked pork chop/ox tongues with rice/spaghetti. Great portions and flavor was also good. Will come again to try their dinner selection.
This is our staple lunchtime option. We ordered curry brisket with rice and bake mix chop spaghetti, and before I could load my fb content, my curry rice is here! It s a typical Hong Kong restaurant so don t expect a quiet dining experience, but if you want good hk food in a decent place, this is the place to go!
The taste is good, the waiters are also polite, and the price is okay.
Food is above average for a small local restaurant. It provides Cantonese style dishes and is pretty original. The best things to me are two: good price; and compare to the price, this restaurant still provides quick and standard service, includes first daily soup and after dinner dissert.
We went here for afternoon tea and ordered the chicken wing, fried fish and fries. The fried peanut butter sandwich with syrup was nicely done
Glad another Chinese cafe opened in the area. Decent food and service. Will def come back again to support the local restaurant!
The food is very delicious and the milk tea is top notch. Newly opened, so good. Very satisfied!
Zero star. Waited for an hour for a fire noddle, still not come. How can they ready for new opening??? This rest is a joke.
The food is of a high standard, the ingredients are fresh, and the Japanese dishes are hot and spicy. Even the soup and red bean paste that comes with it are full of ingredients. The soy sauce will never disappoint me.
Crowded Sunday morning, we in to get seats because alot people waiting. The staff who is responsible for taking seats ignored us and went on to take information from people behind us. Confronted them that we were here first, but she did not care. First come is not first serve, they do not care who came first. Then seat whoever they like first. Never return.
Food is really good for the price. A bit crowded maybe go when less busy. I am overall very satisfied. They are a small business I think they r trying there best with customers
So so and they lied about the 10% discount (originally said discount up to 19 Feb 2023). Not recommended!
10% discount for new opening (Feb 3 to Feb 9) is until February 9 , today Feb 5, I ordered 3 dishes for take out, the lady said discount is finished, because there were lined up in the restaurant, so very short-sighted and changed their mind on 10% discount. This is very bad , watch out, they might changed food quality and prices in no time!
So good? More like so trash. They made an effort to get people on Youtube to promote the 10% discount for the week, only to cancel the deal literally a day after. Fine. How s the service? So trash. I had to ask for the soup. I had to ask for my milk tea. I had to ask twice for the bill and waited 10 minutes for the change to arrive. Keep in mind this wasnt even at peak lunch hour. This was at 3:30PM. Fine. How s the food? False advertising. When you give your VIP Youtubers literally double the portion to create hype and proceed to cut back the very next day, this restaurant deserves to die in the next 6-12 months like the previous restaurants in this very same spot. The portions are average. Maybe if this place didn t spend so much on fancy Staub ovenware, at least make the food taste better. I would be more concerned about why are there 5 star and high praises on day 1, but become an absolute joke in day 2.
I went today for afternoon tea, but they only have a special menu for 11 am to 5 pm. The food is good however, the service needs a lot of improvement. The wait staff did a poor job, it s chaotic at best. A few people sat down already but left. The restaurant seemed to be catering to take-out orders and ignored the dine-in patrons. Wait staff were all crowded at the cash register and offered no service to dine-in patrons. Hope they can figure it out soon, it s a shame to see people leaving because of poor service.
Overall experience not so good We visited on 5 Feb, and ordered 2 meal: - Bake Cheese Tomato Sauce Pork Chop Rice - Curry Beef Brisket Rice Firstly, the fried rice in the Bake Cheese Tomato Sauce Pork Chop Rice is surprisingly good and flavourful. The pork chop won t be too salty and the tomato sauce is good enough for the portion which won t soak the rice too much. I m glad that it s hot enough when it s served. Curry beef brisket is just average, the portion is just enough not so big. The curry is ok. However, we think some beef brisket can be stewed a bit longer and it is a bit too thick. On the other hand, the potatoes are not bad. Both sets include the soup and drink. But adding $1.5 for the cold drink seems a bit expensive. Besides the food, there are many things need to be improved. From queuing, ordering, serving to paying the bill, It is really a CHAOS. It was so crowded at the entrance. All the people standing and waiting for call. Also, there were many wrong and missing order. We almost finished eating the baked pork chop rice, and the curry beef brisket rice have not yet arrived. Many other customers have even worse experiences. I am not sure if it is the problem with the ordering system or manpower. One thing is really really disappointing!!! It was told there should be a 10% discount until the 19th when it opens However they just suddenly cancel the promotion feel cheated.
Tried calling ahead to order takeout but they ignore the phone calls. Arrived at 1:15pm Sunday and many customer left strained outside because no one was giving out numbers. If you ask for a number, they will point you to an empty table while ignoring the long lineup at the door. When I went the cash to order takeout, the cashier was messed up with orders and confused which bill is which. Tables were not cleaned and set up for new customers. Many customers were left unpattended. The Staffs were busy but not organized. I stood there almost 1.25hr waiting for my order observing how they function and I have never seen any restaurant this disfunctional before. Recommend to not go at busy hours or wait until they improve their serving operation.
No one answer for making reservation. All empty tables are for reservation only. Not enough servers. Price is too expensive for this type of restaurant.
Taste OK
Food
Place was packed for lunch! Good kind of busy but maybe theres a shortage of staff so service was a little laggy. Menu items are good; ordered the Baked Black Pepper Chicken Chop with Rice that was served in a Staub baking dish. Presentation is fine but food can be improved. Chicken was done right, crispy skin too. Sauce was a tad salty and wasnt enough. They dont give you enough sauce to balance the large amount of rice underneath. The rice can be done better too. Its an egg fried rice but its more like yellow rice with literally tiny specks of egg.
This restaurant was very disappointing. We came here, ordered our food and while some tables around us who came before, ALREADY received their food, we were still waiting. We mentioned it to the waitress and she seemed to give no urgency to our issue. We reminded her it was a plate of noodles, two curry beef with rice, and three milk teas. At this point we waited over 30 minutes. The noodles came. We waited for the rice dishes. One rice dish came after about 15 minutes since the last plate. The second rice dish was missing. It turned out that they packed it in a take out container and told us we ordered take out, but we are DINING IN, very clearly so. As someone who also works in the service industry, I understand the rush and that mistakes can happen. But how could you serve your customers a dish meant for dine in, in a TAKEOUT box??? I feel that their service took no accountability because they were not very apologetic. Will not be coming back
The wait staff was nice but extremely slow. We waited for at least 20 minutes for our food. The curry was delicious but the pork chop came out lukewarm.
Pay them , they will not appreciate your money.
So good is NOT so good for now much to improve. Staff are trying but cant tell the difference between baked pork chop rice and minced meat rice not just once but twice They had to bring it back so chaotic any way took a third time to get it after awhile also got beef tendon noodle 3 words - warm, soggy and skimpy. Enough said will wait awhile unit they get things in order
Just buy lunch box. But rice is a little bit hard. They have to improve it if they want to keep the price.
(Chinese translation attached below) All bad ratings here are very in-tolerance as they went only for the first few weeks of opening before making such comments. All staffs are new and need time to practice. Thats also one of the reasons giving out 10% off on the soft opening period. If any of you gave 1* because of this, you are a group of rude customers and always happy to see people to fail. I have tried dinner here and all food are good and also over my expectations. This is almost the most affordable HK style restaurant in the area. All staffs are nice and patient. I cannot ask for more with this price range. All the bad reviews here are very harsh as they were only patrons in the first few weeks of opening. All employees are new to the job and need time to practice. This is one of the reasons why a 10% discount is given during the soft launch period. If you give a bad review because of this, you are really being disrespectful and dont want people to succeed. I tried dinner here and all the food was very good and exceeded expectations. This is pretty much the most affordable Hong Kong style restaurant in the area. All the staff are nice and patient. I couldnt ask for more in this price range. Ask the boss and all employees to work hard and continue to operate with an attitude of correcting problems and encouraging others.
Dry fried beef river is as good as before.
from my experience I love the food and service they treated my very well and the food was amazing with savory and memorable taste took my family out here and they all loved will come often
Went here for dinner today and it was soo yummy and so delicious. I will definitely recommend. Very nice staff.
Amazing food. Service was amazing. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Easy to make reservations. And overall 10/10 experience. Would definitely recommend.
10/10
greatest food i ve ever had in my life
Lives up to the name, SO GOOD CHINESE RESTAURANT
FANTASTIC FOOD!! highly recommend trying this great restaurant.
We ordered 6 dishes and all of them were savoury and flavourful. My favourite were the Sweet & Sour pork made with fresh pineapple, the salty fish eggplant served in a pot and the hand shredded chicken. Nice and clean environment, reasonably priced food, and friendly staff. Love this place would definitely be coming back.
We ordered a combo dinner and found one of the dishes too salty. The restaurant offered to replace it with another dish, but it was also slightly salty. Will ask for less salt next time. Steamed fish and red bean paste were good. They charged us $5 for a bowl of steamed rice by mistake, and we didnt ask them to check/fix the bill since we got a 10% discount. We understand they are new and can make mistakes, which is one reason for the 10% discount given during the soft launch so they can learn and improve. Will give it another try.
Ordered stir-fry beef rice noodles salted fish chicken eggplant clay pot and white/black pepper chicken and pig stomach pot. Free soup and dessert. Food quality is good. Portion is fine given the price. Price is average. The restaurant is bright and clean. Waitresses are very friendly. But its super under-staffed during busy hours. Only 2 ladies are there to serve all the tables. Dont expect too much from the service side. And you are only served one cup of tea without tea pot (more like HK cafe than a proper Cantonese restaurant). Not a bad choice if you are too lazy to cook and just want some authentic Cantonese dinner in the area.
Good food and good service.
So..so..
The service attitude in catering is the most important. I hope that as the owner of Su Good, you can seriously think about how to improve it. Your customer source is your reputation. Maybe the boss thinks nothing needs to be done to change. But having no customers is the biggest tragedy of a restaurant.
The food quality has improved after the restaurant changed its name, you can give it a try
Not so good
Not the same as before, not the same menu and food is fair.
Very good & services
Welcome this new restaurant in Richmond Hill area. Two stars are withheld in anticipation of some improvements: 1. The food is bit pricey with regard to the quantity. 2. The HK style milk tea is silky but can be more thick / creamy. 3. The fried chicken wings and drums are crispy but more seasoning can be applied. 4. The beef tendon should have a stronger presence in the beef brisket and tendon with Chinese style flat noodle and soup. Anyway, the attendants are super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to try other dishes of this restaurant in future.
Reasonable price for food combo selections. Foods are delicious and fair food. Very good services. Friends and I are satisfied with the quality of food. We have already returned to this restaurant twice.
I came with my family to get the 4-5 meal course and it was okay. The fried lobster was not crispy and flavourful enough, the soup was a bit heavy on msg, the chicken however was perfect. It was smooth and not overcooked. I do have one complaint. The steamed fish was not fully cooked so the middle was raw. That was disappointing. At the end I don t know if it came with the meal or not but they gave dessert to I guess make up for it. Not sure.
Foods were great and service were good.
This is a place with good food without the elegance setting. The chef (and boss) only has one thing in mind and thats providing good food for his customers. Come here and enjoy their delicious food, whether its lunch or dinner. You wont be disappointed.
Went there for the second time to give them a chance to redeem themselves. No more line ups, but the food are bad. Ordered a . The deep fried tofu somehow are empty in the middle, are all fat and leftover pieces. are all super thin slices. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.
Lunch special portion could be improved, and they charge extra for take out boxes
Too busy for good service
I went to this Chinese restaurant with my family and it s great!
Great place for HK style food. Nice presentation, very friendly service - a rarity in some of these types of restaurants. It s nice to see that they understood we were sharing dishes and brought over extra utensils for sharing without us even having to ask. Will come back again.
Dishes taste good, not enough servers on the floor
Pers0naly i love the food and prices the food is delicious with savory flavor and affordable 10/10 amazing i recommended this to all my buddys and they feel the same
Nice food and friendly staff.
Delicious food and big portion.
Happy to hear the reopening. Food is yummy! Will visit again to try the lunch menu.
This is a no frills, budget eatery. The food is delicious, portions are above average for the price. If youre looking for some good food, this is a good choice. If youre looking for fancy decor and white glove service, this is not for you. Note: cash/debit only.
A good HK style cafe
Crispy fries
I dont really know what count as authentic canto food, but wow everything here is tasy
It s a small size restaurant with few big tables. If you need a big table you probably need to call and reserve ahead of time. It s mainly Cantonese food. The food is quite good, the portions are normal. They provide dessert at the end. The service is good and there s plenty of parking.
Food was great and service was great. Very accommodating even though we didn t have a reservation. Took our order with special instructions to omit an ingredient and they did without hesitation and executed it perfectly.
Tasty food and good value for money
Tried 2 times before commenting Dishes I tried Chicken with green onion Sweet and sour pork Choi sum with beef Steamed fish Crispy chicken Fried Long bean I give it 5 stars because it is the resto with less use of msg and the food cooked well. The soup goes with the meal taste good. Reminds me of good home food!
Lunch special portion little small , and they charge extra for take out boxes
Its a scam. I ordered 3 dishes, but when I came to pick it up, I found out that I had to pay an extra 5 yuan, saying that I thought I knew. . Weird logic, I thought it was free, will you waive the bill for me? Never come again!
Food is fine. We visited 3 times but the restaurant is always noisy with customers chatting. Service is okay!
Food is very average. First visit. Curry brisket is very blended. Luke warm with mild taste. Will not order again. Baked pork chop rice is better. However not enough sauce. Perhaps the Chinese dishes is better. Will try again to give this another chance.
Food is good quality. The price is a bit higher than average.
The staff are hard working and attentive.
Overall great food! Very traditional Hong Kong Style restaurant.
Food is delicious and come out fast. we were going to the old shop regularly and were sad to see it closed. now they are open we are happy to go there again.
I just moved to Richmond Hill and I saw a tea restaurant when I was there. I was thinking about buying some egg noodles, but they told me that we don t have egg noodles for sale. Is there any egg noodles in the tea restaurant?
The food is hot, and it tastes good.
I cant believe this place got such bad rating. I come here all the time with my coworkers for lunch, there r 3 cantonese resturant in our work area, this one is the best, food is very tasty, place is busy but big, so u dont have to share table with others.
good food
My experience has been quite different from the other reviewers here. BY FAR, one of the best Chinese Cantonese restaurants in the north Richmond Hill area. Very reasonable prices (watch for their 2-dish wo choi package) and some of the best quality you can find. Even my relatives visiting from Hong Kong commented on the great quality of their food. Ive been here repeatedly averaging 3-4 times per week, so have tried a fair portion of their menu. This is more of a HK-style cafe / Chinese restaurant hybrid where you can order seafood items at night directly fresh from their live aquarium while still enjoy the milk tea and usual cafe style affairs in the morning and afternoons. Ive tried most places in the area and always come back to this one. I dont know why the other reviewers say service was slow... they have ample number of waiting staff and I am always attended to in a timely manner (comparable to the attentive staff at western places). Highly recommended!
great service!
Food over-average HK style tea below average Noisy environment Food : 4/5
Food was good, service was quick and no frill.
Decent Hong Kong cafe in the neighborhood. Price is good for the portion.
I ve never seen such a messy Hong Kong style restaurant, their dinning hall seems like a warehouse with some round tables in. They have 5-6 ladies in the front, all seem busy but don t know what they are actually doing. I called in front to get a pick up order within 10min, but when I got in nobody said hi or asked me what I m doing. After another 10min waiting, they told me they did not have what I ordered, they could have told me when I called, when I got in, yet until i asked them, they told me this. Btw, since they are soooo short staffed(I assume), their customers just walk in and out their food window to get utensil, good luck with cleanness.
Generous portions, good taste, decent tea, first-class service
Food in general ok, price is reasonable and not too crowded, no need to wait on a Saturday lunch time.
Solid Chinese food! Beef and mushrooms dish was really good even though the mushrooms were just regular white mushrooms. The boo Choi was excellent!
The food is hot and delicious. The place is a little small and tables are very close to each other.
Food was pretty good, milk tea was a good surprise. Was disappointed they crosses off the beef giblets off their menu.
It s delicious and delicious. My favorite dishes at night are steamed fish and sweet and sour pork.
For the value this place is wonderful... i love the claypot dishes... we had a number of them. Braised fish, tofu was great... sushi tried the chicken and salted fish... yummy. And the sweet and sour pork... so good. Nice and crisp still... But no place is perfect... had one fish I didnt like the wonton soup noodles. It was almost entirely pork and when pork is freezer burned it has a rancid flavor... thats what I experienced. All other dishes and meals have been awesome.
Family style restaurant. Waitresses are friendly. Chef occasionally chats with customers.
Chinese food, big place. Good lunch price
The food is one of the best in Richmond Hill area. I live in Aurora and I come down here for dinner. Service is okay, because they get busy and lack of staff a lot of time, so when we need something may take longer than usual. One disappointment in my opinion is their free dessert. I understand is free, but they should switch it up or not give it out at all instead giving the same thing over and over again since they opened.
Food here is so good, the name is really straight to the point.
Just like their name, SO GOOD...
Food is amazing. Especially the desert Tofu pudding. Will definitely come back for this
The service attitude is very good, the Cantonese dishes are very fresh and delicious, and the freshly roasted squab is also very fresh. Their dessert tofu curd is smooth, tender and super delicious

Serive is fast, and friendy The restaurant is big and clean. U can Enjoy your meal , chat with friends, and sit Long, though we need to drive 30 mins But for sure we will come back. Thx the Chef with his heart to cook food for us.
