From Pho to soft shell crabs, Luna Fusion Vietnamese restaurant Richmond Hill features traditional and exclusive innovative dishes that you won't find anywhere else.
My hunt for the best rice paper roll continues at Luna Vietnamese fusion and Richmond Hill. From the moment I stepped in the service in terms of politeness, attentiveness and professionalism was on point. They have a variety of $10 menu items for lunch and late afternoon which is a pretty good deal in general. Now, on this $10 special menu the fact that you have a pho for $10 and a fresh spring roll for $10 does not make sense. I would’ve assumed maybe the fresh roll will be cheaper because of all the places that I’ve been to so far they were cheaper. As this was a $10 price point for the grilled pork chop fresh rice paper roll, the pork was pretty good. You can see from the photo that it was a relatively large piece of meat, not chopped or shaved. The rest of the role was pretty thin not the thick girthy ones you might want. There was some lettuce, a cucumber and a carrots in there I would’ve liked a little more chopped carrots, and cucumbers maybe even an herb not sure how traditional that is but Vietnam I’m coming for you for this traditional fresh paper roll. Overall, meat good, toppings soso. 4.1/5
This place is a local favorite for a reason! I always order the pho, and it never disappoints. The broth is so rich and comforting. The portion sizes are generous, and I never leave hungry. The service is quick, and the staff is always so friendly.
This place seems to be pretty new? I've not been here prior. For lunch the pork chop, spring roll vermicelli dish was really good and their lunch special price was only approx. $13! For this large portion I think it is fairly priced and definetly cheaper than I would've expected... We also ordered some regular priced items and it came with their promotion of free red bean or ice tea drinks. Their fresh shrimp spring roll tasted pretty bad though :( I spat it out because the shrimp was fishy.
The food is really good and the restaurant is very clean. They have seasonal menu that services some very special dishes. The chicken skin dumpling would be an interesting choice if you won’t mind having greasy food 😝
This place is a hidden gem for Viet food. They have all the traditional dishes but also a bunch of more unique items that at least I haven't seen elsewhere. I got their laksa which was quite nice.
Edit : went 2 times more since last review and tried other dish, the lasak is quite good also! —— Tried the raw beef pho , and it’s a lunch special for $12.95. Price is not expensive for this item , and it’s quite good actually. The broth came out very hot and quite flavourful. The beef are not too chewy… there are beef out there for pho can be really dry and hard.. the beef here I wouldn’t say it’s the best beef but it’s more softer than typical pho I had in other places. The services are very good and seems genuine wanted you to feel welcome. I think it’s worthwhile to visit again!
This is an excellent new restaurant that has lately popped up in Richmond Hill. We were served by Ben and his team. The effort and quality they put into the food is excellent, and their hospitality is genuine and warm. Thanks for your time and care!
First-time customer recommended by a friend, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and how nice the staff were. Must try the house special- fried chicken skin dumplings and if you love spicy food, you must try the super spicy minced pork with rice and egg. I personally love the softshell crab vermicelli in tomato soup and the tri-color bean drink. The Pad Thai noodles were chewy and tasted great. They even provided us with a jar of spicy cilantro sauce, which my friends loved. Definitely will visit again!
Good restaurant with decent price and good food. Good and friendly services.

This is an amazing and chill place
I went on a weekend afternoon for an afternoon tea set. It gave away free Red Bean drink. The afternoon portion is not huge but enough. It s quiet and servers are friendly.
Good noodle portions. Nice clean restaurant with great service.
The environment is elegant and clean. The service was excellent. Also comes with a drink. Its just that there are very few beef slices in the beef brisket rice noodles. A little more would be nice. Will it increase costs?

I came here for lunch with a friend and we really enjoyed it. The pho was flavorful and the beef was tender. I also tried the banh mi sandwich, and it was delicious. crispy bread with the right balance of fillings...
This place has a great eating environment (clean and sanitary) and the food is amazing for the price. The workers are also detail oriented and genuinely care about the customer experience.
Great food for a great price! Recommended for all high school students!
I came to this store for lunch, and I just went in with the idea of filling my stomach. The prices are not expensive, the menu is simple and clear, and there are lunch specials. Ordered the carpaccio, fried soft shell crab and spring rolls. They are all great, very cost-effective and taste great. You can t go wrong eating here.
Food environment is very clean, the food is great and the price is great. The student meal is 9$ for a drink and a lot of food.
Luna Vietnamese Restaurant is worth the visit to anyone who wants to enjoy a true and delicious Vietnamese meal. The first step into the place reveals the hospitable atmosphere, modern but warm interiors as well as the staff always willing to offer reasonable satisfaction.
Great budget friendly place if you re looking for a warm meal at a cozy environment this winter!
Love this place! The food is always so fresh, and you can tell they really care about the quality. The pho is delicious, and I ve tried the beef stew too, which was amazing. It s got a nice, cozy atmosphere, and the servers are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if youre in the area!

Luna is an excellent Vietnamese Restaurant. Tha food is very delicious, Service is good. It is a nice place to go with friends and friends, will come back again.ce place to go with family and friends, I ordered soft shell crabs , right now they have promotion free drink. Will be back and highly recommend!
Luna Viet has the best food in Markham and is light and joyful!
Very yummy food; great service and excellent price. We will be back for sure!
Visiting from out of the country, ordered online, website asks you to indicate your choice of 2 options: pay in store with cash or pay in store with CARD. I selected pay in store with CARD. When I went to pick up they take LOCAL DEBIT CARD ONLY. so they took the food back and I left without any dinner. This limitation should be updated clearly on website.
This is my first time to comment on a restaurant because I really like it. The taste, ingredients, portions, environment, and waiters are all very good. It is the best Vietnamese food I have ever eaten in Toronto.
Clean and tasty food. Will be my go-to for Vietnamese food!
Good fusion Vietnamese food
THEYRE SO NICEEE

Nwe plaxee Tasty food (big portion) kindly waitress Come back next time Food : 5/5
I have been wanting to try those soft shell crabs for the longest time.. i have seen some raw ones at chinese restaurants but they had them fried.. oh boy, they were absolutely fantastic.. you just eat the whole thing with the shell on ans it tastes sooo good. I got it with the pho and the soup was very savoury. A perfect combination.
Good reviews: Much better than the sand-walled tenants next door! The price is also very student friendly. Except for the 50cent charge for packed cups. But it s not a big problem!
The environment is elegant, the food is delicious and hygienic, and the waiters are super friendly . I like this dining environment! Like
Delicious Vietnamese food, great service. Recommended! I really like their red bean ice and Vietnamese coffee . Great place to hang out with friends!
So delicious and very kind and helpful server!
Amazing place. Great price
Love it
The shrimp toast with cheese inside is a unique and delicious dish. The fusion of Vietnamese and Hong Kong flavors works beautifully. The atmosphere is charming, and the staff is friendly. I d love to see more variety in the dessert menu, but overall, a great dining experience!
The food is very delicious and the service is very friendly . The most important thing is that I like the taste here and there are many choices! Kid-friendliness: There are many kinds of things, which is very suitable for families and children to go together.
Such nice staff, big portions, will come again!
Great food and service!
Nice and new authentic Vietnamese dishes. Tasty and delicious soft crab noodle soup and noodles. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. Newly renovated. Friendly service. Easy and convenient parking in front of the restaurant.
Good food and great service!
Its delicious, but doesnt smell like MSG. I hope the business will get better and better!
Great pho! Ask for their housemade spicy cilantro sauce to accompany the soup :) Will return!
Food tastes great. Lunch menu with good portion & very reasonable prices. Food in the menu tastes very good too. Most importantly, staffs are very friendly giving ultimate services, making you feel so comfortable throughout the stay. Highly recommended.
Taste very good with big portion
Amazing food plenty of flavour and great service
This restaurant is run by such kind people, and not to mention, yummy food as well
The food was delicious plus the awesome staff and clean restaurant would make your experience even better. I really love the fancy water container lol Kid-friendliness: Staff love the kids
Great spot! Had a torched veal pho. The food was tasty and the service was awesome. Highly recommend.
Great food, friendly staff!
Food are delicious, friendly service, would definitely come back again.
I have been eating pho for years at various establishments. Purchased the pick your own pho with rare beef and meatball. For a dedicated Vietnamese restaurant, the pho was underwhelming in a few ways. Noodles were of the dried pre-made variety, but were cooked fine. Broth was flavourful, but seemed to be a bit on the instant type of flavour. My most notable qualm is the rare beef. The portion of rare beef was pretty small and clearly was frozen. The freezer flavour of the beef and foaming action in the broth was highly indicative of frozen meat. Not the worst pho I have had, but this establishment needs to step up their game if they want their business to be viable in this competitive space. I cant comment on the service or restaurant interior because I ordered take out.
On Sunday, I passed by SmartCentres Richmond Hill and discovered a new store called Luna Viet, which specializes in Vietnamese cuisine. It is next to the square. The entrance is a bit small, but when you enter, the hall is larger, the decoration is fresh, and the seats are comfortable. I ordered the cooked meat noodles and was pleasantly surprised. The soup base was delicious and appetizing, the beef was tender and tasty, the spices and vegetables were complete, the portion was large, and the price was right. I have been in Canada for a year and a half, and I have eaten a lot of Vietnamese food in this food desert that is not a good version of Chinese food, is flashy, and has bad taste. ,, I am very happy to have this restaurant. In the future, I can eat and chat with a few friends. The seats are widely spaced, and I don t have to worry about being overheard by the neighboring tables if they are too close. I ordered a side of fried dumplings and the soda was also delicious. Worth coming again.
On Sunday, I went to the Walmart next to SmartCentres with my college roommate whom I had just met to buy groceries. After leaving Walmart and walking to the other side of the square, I saw this new Vietnamese restaurant and looked at the menu at the door. I thought it was delicious and affordable, so I went in to have a glass of water and ordered fruity soda water with lemongrass pork chop rice. The pork chop was fragrant, big and tasty, and it came with salad. The food and drinks in this restaurant are beautiful, delicious and delicious. The store design looks simple and elegant, which is very suitable for those of us who are petty bourgeois international students. You can also come here for your friend s birthday party next Wednesday or Friday.
When he found this Vietnamese noodle restaurant, he had a lot of food. I tried the beef brisket noodles this time. The beef broth was delicious, the noodles were translucent and smooth, and the meat was soft and tender. It was also served with spring rolls and whipped. The portion is huge, please help me a lot.
Delicious food, first time trying something like the chicken skin gyoza and it was quite unique and tasty. Also tried the hainanese chicken and pork chop/meatball/spring roll vermicelli which were good too. Would come back to try other items. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Great authentic viet restaurant and cozy interior. I like the soft crab noodles and thai soup noodles. In addition to that, the special drinks are also my favorite.
Decent food overall and staffs are all attentive. Parking: Plenty of parking on the weekend. Weekdays need to plan ahead. Wheelchair accessibility: No automatic door closure however wheelchair is accessible to sidewalk is available.
Very authentic Vietnamese food and great service.
I took my baby to eat today. My baby loves it. The environment is very good. The boss is very nice and the ingredients are so fresh.
Chicken skin dumplings is good, you won t feel too greasy!
OK I have to admit I have a soft spot for hidden gems close to where I used to live. This place does Viet fusion, which means a lot of things BUT my favourite item here is the chicken skin gyoza (read that again carefully) and the delicious soft shell crab fried rice. In fact they got so many good soft shell crab items on the menu, I think I had too much! They also have homemade desserts in limited quantity, and when I complimented the server (owner)? of the restaurant he told me that the chef here has 30 years of experience cooking for various Vietnamese and ramen spots. Lots of free parking too and the fact thqt its hidden means its not too crowded! Parking: Located at the OPPOSITE end of the Walmart plaza, right by Bayview Ave, this spot has so many parking spots
My son took us here and it was very good - the food is big portion and our guests all had a good time. I liked the soft shell fried rice a lot. Plenty of parking too, and very nice service from the man who attended our table.
I like the soup, not oily. Good spacing between tables and the restaurant is clean. Nice service. Special weekday meal available. One concern is the AC unit not strong enough. Food
Good food
Liked how the place was renovated and the atmosphere. The lunch time specials were priced reasonably and portions are a good size. However I found some of the dishes (pho and Beef curry) too salty for my taste. Overall I would recommend.
I ordered the pick your own pho, and the portion was surprisingly big for the price!! The soup was very tasty and the saltiness was right on the point, also the satay chicken with rice was delicious as well. The chicken was actually really juicy, at first I thought chicken with the sauce will be a little bit greasy, but I found out it was actually really flavorful and not greasy at all. Anyways I do recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service and food! I dont tend to prefer fusion over authentic, but this place hits all the right notes.
Very good food, especially the soft shell crab.
Excellent choice for Vietnamese food in Richmond Hill. Of all the new Vietnamese restaurants opening up around the GTA, this restaurants taste is on top of my list. Tried the Special Platter, which includes spring rolls, satay chicken, shrimp crackers, grilled shrimp, and fried mini squids. Which was super good. Their new menu item, deep fried, chicken gyoza dumpling, is a non-traditional menu item that surprised me in a good way. Must try. Service was attending as well, as everything requested was spot on, and on time. Will give this restaurant a repeat most definitely, and would be a choice near Bayview and Major Mackenzie.
New open Vietnamese restaurant. Their signature dishes are uniquely fusioned and great tasting. The spicy minced meat on rice is really spicy. So, beware for those with gentle tongue. It would be better, however, if the minced pork were served hot rather than just scooped onto the rice. Iced Thai milk tea is also good like your usual HK milk tea but with a small difference I cannot point out. Will be back to try other signature dishes and drinks. Unfortunately, they don t accept credit card.
The bun rieu was pretty good!! Soup was great and crab was good but a bit too salty for my taste. Hue soup was not bad as well. The environment is very clean and nicely decorated, service is prompt. A bit pricey though.
Excellent service, place is very clean, I love the fried chicken skin dumplings and Vietnamese coffee.
Came here for dinner with the family! Great viet food, the tom yum noodle was very flavorful. Had the appetizer platter and everything was cooked nicely! Very attentive service as well. Food
Food not bad. Prices not cheap though
Nice food and diligent service. The deep fried chicken skin gyoza is in particular impressive. The curry is not too spicy. The beef brisket is soft. The meat juice of the grilled pork chop is well preserved. Daily specials are offered but not at a special price. As shown in the menu, the dishes are a bit pricey. However, it is justified by their portion and quality. The place is clean. The sunroom is also sufficient and comfortable. A nice place for meal chat.
Nice, modern space with great, attentive service staff and delicious food! Highly recommend the soft shell crab pho and the torched veal pho. Menu has staple items with a handful of specialty, so if you re looking for something traditional or trying something new, this is a great place to be! Even if you re not hungry, the lychee soda and the Vietnamese hot coffee was smooth and not overly sweet, another great reason to stop by!
Only one size of rice noodle and not enough for an adult, too expensive
I recently visited on Good Friday w/ my friends for dinner. We arrived at around 6:30pm hoping to get a table. The resto itself is quite small so we had to wait awhile before getting seated (in fact, we were the last customers of the day as they close at 8pm which we didnt know). We had the whole resto to ourselves basically after 7:20pm. Mango salad: Refreshing and tangy! Crunchy mangoes and the seasoning was on point. Deep fried tofu: Good fried tofu. Hard to mess this dish up. I liked that the tofu was bite-sized. Wings w/ fish sauce: The wings were meaty and juicy. Definitely not the best weve ever had but the hefty size on these bad bois were appreciated. Chicken meatball skewers: So we had originally ordered chicken satay skewers but the waiter accidentally sent in chicken meatball skewers to the kitchen. It was near closing time so we just ate the meatballs (which came with a peanut hoisin sauce). The balls were tasty! The waiter also removed the meatballs off the bill to account for his mistake so +1 for service. Torched veal brisket pho: Very interesting pho that I dont think Ive have anywhere else. veal was cut into chunks like pork belly and torched. It was also SUPER soft. I just wish they gave the option to the customer to order large bowls. All phos are one size. House special pho: The friend who ordered this said it was ok. She liked our torched brisket pho more. Grilled pork chop rice: Ok HEAR ME OUT. This pork chop rice is the hidden secret of this place. The pork doesnt have the signature char on the skin (or much grill marks for that matter), but the meat is SOO tender and juicy. Normally, lemongrass pork chop has a traditional dry feel that goes along w/ the char when you bite into it. This pork was moist and the seasoning was quite unique compared to usual lemongrass pork. I think they are also running a promo on the grilled pork rice right now (you get a free drink) so this dish might be the pick of the bunch tbh. Hainanese chicken rice: My friends and I have eaten a lot of hainanese chicken rice so while it was good, its definitely not top tier or anything. I wish the portion was larger (both the chicken and rice). The sweet chili sauce was delicious though! Id come back w/ my friends for a return visit! I would say theyre still figuring some stuff out as they are quite new (open since end of Dec 2023).
Friendly staffs and decent food
Today I finally tasted the delicious food recommended by friends many times! This Vietnamese pho restaurant is really rare and delicious in Toronto. I specially tasted their signature tomato soft shell crab. The meat and soup base are very fresh. And what was an unexpected surprise was the chicken chop rice, which tasted beyond expectations! The chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The most noteworthy thing is that the portion is really huge! Absolutely great value for money. The service attitude is also very good, the ladies are warm and thoughtful. Overall, it was a super enjoyable dining experience and I will definitely come back!
The price is reasonable for the quality of food. Love the chicken skin dumplings. Deep fried chicken skin is crispy. The tomato softshell crab has the great balance with just the uptake of 1 spicy. The pho is average. The other deep fried spring rolls and muong are above average. Service is very attentive and washroom is very clean.
Great place for a nice quiet meal on Sunday afternoon. Love their ambience and food. Special mention on their soft shell crab noodles in tomato chilly soup. It s a must try. For kids, we also gave their sandwich a shot. The bread was crunchy and size was generous. Will definitely come back for their drinks next time.
This is a Fusion Viet restaurant.very clean and spacious. Nice clean decor, good for family with young kids. Their soft shell crab noodle is very tasty, it has a kicker spicy taste. Good portion and the grill chicken is not too burnt unlike other Viet restaurants around the area. For sure will visit again.
The food is so good! We love this place! Very clean and comfortable! We ordered spring rolls, pork and chicken rice, beef pho, soft shell crab, fried chicken wings, etc very tasty but not salty! Be careful the spicy minced pork is really hot and spicy! Everything so yummy! My daughter loves this place too! Lichee soda was amazing too! We have been there for many times and never disappointed! Highly recommended!
I dont like leaving negative reviews but I didnt have the best experience with ubereats for this restaurant :[ My two drinks were missing (delivery driver said it was due to packaging problems), additionally the grilled chicken sandwich was not very tasty or flavourful and the bread was stale and hard to chew. I mean its pretty cheap so I guess I got what I paid for but overall was disappointed in the experience. maybe dine in is better?
Great place. Food was delicious and good service. Will be back again.
A new vietnamese restaurant. Very clean and spacious, service is good, foods are tasty. They offer a special lunch menu with pretty good price, but the regular menu is a little bit pricey.
Really enjoyed the food quality. The portions are huge staff was friendly. The ingredients and taste was fresh. Very pleasing environment and they like the feedback.
My personal favorite is the soft shell crab noodles and curry beef brisket noodles!
Stumbled across this gem on Google Maps. It s a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that is barely visible from the street as a proper store sign has not been installed outside yet. The interior is classy, comfortable and very clean. The pho broth is very good, and the banh mi was very fresh (even the side of coleslaw was delicious). The pho only came in one size but is equivalent to a large, with a generous serving of meat and noodles. Will definitely visit again.
Noticed this new restaurant replaced the old pho place that was here before so we decided to check it out and the food turned out to be really good! My brother ordered the torched veal brisket pho and I ordered the bun bo hue. Each dish was $19 + tax but both came with large portions of noodles & generous amounts of meat & other toppings so the price was reasonable imo. Flavour was also really good, the bbh tastes slightly different from other places Ive had it (tasted more concentrated here? Im not an expert so I cant quite place it) but I enjoyed it a lot still. The inside of the restaurant is also nicely decorated and was very clean & comfortable to sit in!
Best Viet restaurant in town. Price is reasonable and portion is large.
The lunch was very good, with generous portions and delicious taste!
The environment is great! Great service! Recommended: Lemongrass Pork Chop Rice Coffee
The restaurant is modern and the decor is nice. There is a comfortable table setting as well. The server provided us with excellent service. We love their water pitcher! You have to go see it! Food
Recommended by a friend, this new store has opened. The noodles and rice are very good. The environment is also very good.
good food good service!
Really flavorful pho, and tasty lemongrass beef. I come to this plaza pretty often so Ill look forward to coming back and trying something else! Congrats on the opening and all the best
So nice to have a birthday dinner here. The staffs are super nice and friendly. Will definitely come here again:)
The food was awesome! Our group had an unforgettable birthday dinner! Had the soft shell crab tomato noodles and it was super flavourful. We came here on a snow storm night and the staff kept us warm with their amazing customer service. Super friendly & patient. Will recommend to everyone!
What a pleasant dining experience on a snow storm night. Food is fresh and the portion is big. Staff is very friendly and nice. Delightful .
Very clean pho restaurant with exceptional service. They make a few items that are exceptional good. Chicken skewers, soft shell crab noodles, the spicy noodles and good coffee too. Other items are normal. Will definitely come back, cause I am already missing the skewers.
A hidden gem in major mack!! definitely recommend
My family and I had dinner here on Friday around 5:30 pm, and it wasnt very busy. The service was excellent, with attentive staff. I would recommend trying the rare beef noodle; soft shell crab noodle, and grill chicken with rice . The portion size is generous, and the meat is very fresh.
