825 W Cary St, Richmond, VA 23220, United States
American eats & craft beer doled out in cool, brick-lined digs with counter stools & sidewalk seats.
I had a great experience here. The food was really good. I ordered a Turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel. My mimosa was perfect.
Amazing vegan food. The club with chili is our favorite vegan dish by far. Simple, classic can't go wrong. Tho everything we have tried here is amazing.
During my Bike trip across the USA I tended to visit small "Local Diners" and restaurants. I came across 821 by accident and as it looked busy with a local crowd I thought I'd visit it for breakfast. I ordered the Breakfast and in short the food and service was great, and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. I had some work to do on my PC and stayed for about 90min. As I was leaving I noticed a fairly long queue had formed at the entrance. So a good resturant, and hope you get a seat.
Fun little restaurant in a modified row house. The staff are kind and they were dressed up for Halloween. There are only a few tables so either go during off times or be prepared to wait. Thought there is a bar with a few stools. Perfect for solo dining. There is a lot to look at on the walls. The menu has typical breakfast choices and a few twists. They also serve a fair amount of vegan options. It’s a great place to go with friends who may have dietary restrictions. I ordered the lemon curd French toast. So good, didn’t even need syrup.
We're addicted to their vegan food! We go here at least once a week. Only issue is night staff is nothing like the daytime staff. The daytime staff are great! But I still rate them 5 stars because the food is always delicious and hot. The custom mocktails are AMAZING every time.
Went in to order for pickup. There is no clear indicator where you place your order, so I looked a little lost until a waitress asked if I was ready to put in my order. 25 minutes isn't bad, especially during lunch. Got the food, stomach is rumbling. At first glance the pancakes my wife ordered, which we paid $1 each for blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate chips to be in it looked a little short... decided we'd check out the food at home. Boy, what a mistake. I've never had a Philly cheesesteak that I didn't want to finish. The pancakes were soggy and distasteful, and the $1 of banana was 3 thin slices, the $1 of blueberries may have been 8-10, and there had been one strawberry chopped up. Also I hope you like paying $3.50 for a small juice that is only filled up halfway in the cup. Never eating here again, worst $50 we've spent in a while.
Great place with ALOT of vegan options! Got the curry chicken salad (VEGAN) and some of their vegan nuggets - it was outstanding! Slower service on a rush is expected - but overall it’s a 10/10!
Cafe was very charming on the inside and out. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service, food was AMAZING and flavorful. You know it’s a good place if you “wow” at the fries. Gave great portions for good prices and had a lot of vegetarian/vegan options.
great vegetarian and vegan options!!
I had an okay experience with 821, I didnt like how everyone was packed into the small space like sardines. It took a very long time for the food to come out and I didnt really enjoy it (IHOP wouldve been a better choice). Staff were very nice though!
A place you should for sure check out!!! The food was absolutely delicious with tofu and seitan options as well as some meat options too, making it great for all diets. They have a bar, beer, kombucha, and happy hour.
Rosemary Potatoes were pretty good. Rest of what I got tasted ok for what was paid
Very Vegan friendly!!!! Food was delicious
Good service! Server steered us correctly! Excellent food choices, including great vegan and vegetarian options.
Went to 821 as a party of 2 for brunch. We arrived just after they opened Sunday morning and it was already pretty full. We sat at the bar and were served promptly. The breakfast burrito was pretty good, and there were plenty of sauces to use.
Amazing menu and staff. Lots of delicious vegan options...including all day breakfast. Dietary restrictions: Tons of vegan options, clearly marked
Wait time 45 min, >1 hr between order placed and food served. The food is average at best. Not worth it.
This cafe offers delicious food served in a quirky, fun setting. Our servers were kind and efficient. We enjoyed our lunch so much, we popped back in for breakfast the following am before heading out of town.
Laid-back, casual atmosphere with good drinks, friendly staff, and AMAZING vegetarian options! Veggie chicken fried chicken was to die for
This was the most horrible experience I ve probably ever had. There was a bug in my toast, my egg was overdone, the ketchup was sour, and the French toast didn t taste like French toast at all. The service team wouldn t know this though because when I tried to talk to them about it she cut me off by snatching my receipt off the table, giving me a dirty look, and storming off. She put the new receipt on the table and walked away despite our card being there. I started to tear up because I was treated so poorly and it s been a rough week for Americans and she then brought me tissues without apologizing. I was pretty upset that she did this and said seriously?? Just check us out and let us leave. She began running food instead. I asked another server to please check us out and she said our card wasn t on the table and I said please just let us check out. The table is wet I m not putting the card on the table. Then they both began berating us in front of the whole restaurant when I literally said I wasn t unkind to them because they weren t even the ones that cooked the food. Horrible service, horrible food, horrible people. I can t believe we re ending an incredible trip to Richmond here and I m quite literally going home crying. Please be kind to others, you have no idea what they re going through.
821 never disappoints. Ive been eating here for years, but after todays experience, I feel the need to share my appreciation for this fine establishment. The kitchen crew was on point as always. They made the best breakfast burrito Ive ever had. And THE POTATOES. Gee willickers, batman. Someone figured out the perfect blend of seasoning and spices. Thank you to whoever this genius is. The servers work together as a team, sharing responsibility for every table, and make everyone feel special. In a world of declining customer service, this cafe stands out because theyre having fun and seem to enjoy their interactions with everyone. I debated leaving this part out, but I think its important to mention that there is a drop-dead gorgeous blonde server with tattoos who made me a little nervous at first, mostly because Im a pretty reserved person and she was literally breathtaking, but her warm, caring personality was infectious and really helped brighten my day. Take it from me, this place deserves a lot more 5 star reviews. One of Richmonds best! Love it!
Food was amazing... the service was great.. they just had to keep catering to this lady that was crying at her table. A server even brought her tissues. Kinda killed my lunch vibe. They did their best though.
Delicious food, quick delivery!
Terrible restaurant with by far the worst service in Richmond. We got there right at open, got seated and ordered. Then we proceeded to wait 1 whole hour with no food arriving to the table. Our waitress was incredibly rude and didn t bother checking in on us once. We witnessed multiple people come in AFTER us, and get their food and finished eating before we had a single plate delivered to our table. Absolutely trash service.
Vegan nachos are AMAZING! Also enjoyed the vegan Caesar salad.
Good everytime for everyone.
Love the veggie burger...delicious!
Awesome food and service
Expensive sandwiches. A good mix of locals and tourists.
Awesome place with sensational vegan offerings. Unfortunately not really dog-friendly but other than that its darn near perfect
I cant say enough good things about this place. Havent had a single menu item that didnt rock my socks. Got hooked on their vegan breakfast burrito ages ago, but also love their vegan chicken biscuit, curry chicken salad sandwich, and nachos. I feel like its important to note that Im not vegan. Its that good. Wheelchair accessibility: Big step at the door and I dont think theres an alt entrance, door is also rather narrow and hard to open
This is one of my favorite food spots in Richmond! No matter what I get it s always delicious; I ordered chocolate chip pancakes, sausage patties, and scrambled eggs with cheese through delivery, and it s all as hot and fresh as if I were sitting down in the restaurant. 1000000% recommend.
I really wanted to love 821 but it fell short of expectations. From the 45 minute wait to be seated to the very basic vegan diner food, it did not impress. The biscuit was dry, the tofu scramble had an odd flavor, and the pancakes were honestly quite bland. Overall, the food wasnt bad, it just wasnt... good. Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options!
We were so excited to come across this cute restaurant in our travels! We loved that the menu was a mix of unique vegan and non-vegan options plus a great kids menu so everyone was able to find something they liked in one place. Service was awesome and food arrived quickly. Even LGBTQ+ friendly. Definitely recommend!
Had a great hummus vegetable wrap and cole slaw. My husband had a chili burger and fries. Food was really great! Great selection too! Vegetarian options: Had lots of choices.
We stumbled into this restaurant after a show at the Altria and loved it! We were in the area again and chose to stop again! Great burgers, and Vegan options! Very accommodating for food allergy requests.
We had one server who was excellent and another who very clearly did not want to be there. The latter took and missed an item in our order, which we then had to wait longer for. Food was nothing special. Chicken on the chicken sandwich was very dry; I couldn t finish it. Vegetarian options: My cousin was very happy with her Buffalo chicken sandwich Parking: When VCU isn t in session it s relatively easy to park on the street.
My all time FAVORITE brunch in Richmond! They re busy (for good reason) and it s a small place so I d recommend getting early or you ll end up waiting a bit but even if you wait - it s worth it Vegetarian options: Vegan selection and vegetation options are robust Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options for those with dairy and egg allergies
I needed a place that could accommodate my dairy and egg allergy and this place nailed it. Their vegan options were delicious!
Food was good but ended up not eating at the restaurant. We walked in and got a table right away which was great but waited over an hour for our food before asking to take it to go.
Service and atmosphere was great but the food was pretty below average. Was very excited about the friend chicken but it turned out to be very chewy. The other dish was Philly Billy, that one was nicer and a bit above average. Mainly the price was really high for the food served and the portion sizes of the different aspects of food were weirdly disproportionate.
Richmond classic. One of the best go-to places for lunch and brunch in Richmond. Super casual atmosphere, good prices and great food. When friends need a good option for vegan brunch, this place always comes to mind. They have excellent vegan options on their menu so people with most dietary restrictions can find something yummy!
Best restaurant in Richmond.
My husband and I went there for lunch and was told we couldnt wait inside until a table was cleaned off. They told us we could wait on the patio in 95 degree weather that feels like 102. Horrible service!!!
A local gem with so many vegan options and super friendly and responsive staff. I have had a blast trying all the vegan options, and blueberry pancakes are my favorite.
We ate here every morning on our anniversary trip to Richmond. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend
Love this place s menu choices!! We usually do takeout, with which they do a fantastic job as well. The staff is consistently pleasant. We enjoy their variety in food choices; even their IG postings are uplifting & positive!
Reasonably good. Glad there were so many vegan options on the menu.
Smallish but during slower times it s PERFECT, but the rotation of ppl during busy times is not too shabby. Food is BOMB, so good! Literally came back from breakfast to lunch and DINNER, not all the same day but within 2 days. Def recommend Food
Super vibe and an outstanding wait staff. Visiting with friends +6 month old - the staff were helpful and patient. We ordered the 821 huevos rancheros, omelette, and a two vegan options. The food was excellent and prepared with care. FYI, I rarely provide 5* reviews. I would definitely return and highly recommend to all friends. Dietary restrictions: Great vegetarian, vegan, and egg/meat options.
The food here is absolutely amazing. Every dish I try is delicious. Our server was gracious and accommodating. I love the vibe of this place!!
One of the few breakfast places we found to be open early in the morning on a weekend. Menu has a lot of options, the food was really good. Close to the VCU main campus. Not very big, so you might be waiting, but it was worth it.
The place seems very popular, but personally I didnt particularly like it. The place is not super clean, bathroom, restaurant wall, where the napkins are... The food is good, without extravagance. No gluten-free options. The space is very limited, few tables. The coffee was very bitter. Filter coffee only as a choice. There was a Line Up at 9:15 a.m. and the restaurant opened at 9 a.m. I dont think its worth the detour or even the wait.
We love 821 cafe! The food is always great. My favorites is their banana pancakes, soup of the day (they are all good) and healthy options. The only reason why I didnt give 5 stars is because of the wait sometimes and the passive aggressive host on the weekends.
Best place for brunch in RVA
Excellent food. Nice selection of beer. Parking: Some free street parking on side streets. Otherwise paid street parking on Cary. Food : 5/5 |
Fast friendly service. The food was exceptional.
The Phone never works and I refuse to order through quickness.
Long wait but great food.
Lovely little cafe near VCU campus, great spot for brunch, but get there early or you ll be waiting for a while. Well worth the wait though - the food is delicious and the atmosphere is charming. Staff were super friendly too!
Disrespectful and discriminatory. Me and my partner waited outside for 20 minutes for a table and my name was first on the waitlist. A woman walked in and got a table before us when she hadn t even been waiting or was on the waitlist. So neglectful.
Food was delicious, the staff was friendly
Delicious food, lots of vegetarian options in a quirky atmosphere.
I genuinely believe 821 is the best cafe in Richmond, especially if youre vegan/vegetarian. Ive been coming here for years and I have never been disappointed. Anytime I make it downtown, 821 is my go-to spot. I can not recommend them more.
AMAZING food, top notch staff. Highly recommend for a quick and filling brunch. Generous portion sizes priced for the masses and a charming atmosphere.
After getting drinks for brunch, we waited well over an hour for our food. The food was cold and not the best when it finally got to the table. The waitress did not really check on us and seemed very confused. Probably not going back..
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The only reason I couldn t give this location a 5 star is because the service was absolutely slow.
clean place and nice staff
A solid breakfast spot that tastes fresh and has options with real, seasonal vegetables! Simple, delicious, clean and thoughtful experience from the beginning to the end. Loved the dragonfruit mimosa. We will be back!
Delicious food and cocktails, and perfect service!
Been a while since i visited 821 Cafe & today I decided to come in for lunch. I was immediately greeted and quickly placed my to go order. She made my drink right on the spot and the food was ready within minutes. I decided to get a Greek salad as I usually am here for the breakfast! They did not disappoint and the size was great for the price. I got the small portion(pictured below). Its very fulfilling, smells and tastes fresh!
This place is great very good menu and specials the breakfast is amazing and the staff was very on point and friendly I definitely will be back.
The vegan chicken and waffles here is a unique and memorable dish, made of Korean ingredients.
Tasteful and seasoned with an eclectic vibe. Flavorful carytown gem with vegan friendly flare. Great service. Food
ok
Brie stuffed French toast and chocolate chip pancakes were good. Service was excellent. Not a fan of the music selection playing or the decor.
Its small, but worth every minute you have to wait. The food is delicious and plentiful. And the drinks... get one of the mimosas, you wont be disappointed!
Update: have been 3 times, twice when very busy once when onlt 3 parties including us and can say wait times are the same. Every single time we come people who come after us eat and leave before we get our food. Breakfast is amazing though they have added more vegan options and have a tofu chicken fried vegan biscuit that is bomb AF and is worth the wait but def need lots of patience here because they are slow as hell. Also bring your own coffee its disgusting. Old review: Great food lots of vegan options even vegan cake for desert missing a star due to the wait. Only 1 waitress on and wasnt going to hurry herself to attend anyone. Waited at least 30 min just to order. Food didnt take that long though and tasted wayyyy better than the first time i came way less oily.
Vegan gem
Nothing special it was good... Thats all.
Great food with many vegan options! Although.. ice does not go into mimosas
what a solid little place. My Cuban sandwich was spot on and just well made. the peanut squash soup was thick, and flavorful. my kids turkey sandwich was also full of so many flavors. love this place! Parking: plenty of nearby on street parking
821 on a Saturday morning is home. Always feel so welcomed here and always get the best service. Our server Jenn did an excellent job, was very kind, and made our experience even better. Must stop in here if you are ever in Richmond, it s a staple for a reason <3
We had the brie and bacon omelette with a biscuit -amazing. We also tried the cannoli stuffed french toast -which was great. The atmosphere is where this place is lacking when compared to other places. Worth a visit!
Portions were large and the price was cheap! Ordered the Big Breakfast ($11) and Big Meaty ($15 w/ 2 eggs) for take-out, food was ready in 30min. Super busy on Sunday morning, and there isnt much seating inside. Cool art on the walls. This place draws a young, hip crowd. Definitely recommend!
821 Cafe is a must visit when in Richmond. Several high quality vegetarian and vegan options, like the vegan chicken and vegan biscuits. Other must try non-veg/vegan options include the french toast, omelettes, and their seasoned potatoes, which are always so perfectly seasoned. This is a place where no matter what you get, you know it will be tasty. Staff is very friendly and efficient, we ve become regulars at 821 cafe and always have a great experience!
My favorite place for a vegan brunch, hands down!
Small cozy restaurant with amazing food. The restaurant was incredibly busy (always a good sign) which made the wait time a bit longer especially since we were eating there on New Years Day. That said, the food was incredible. Its a small diner, so expect the noise level to understandably be a bit high if its pack.
Groovy, intimate space with great grub for meaties, veggies, and vegans.
Drive down to Richmond to visit my best friend and ate here, everything was so good we went back a day later for breakfast! My friend is vegan and said his food was amazing as well. And the waitresses were amazing, will definitely be back next visit to Richmond. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options.
One if the best breakfast spots Ive been to
Cute little dive bar experience with excellent service.
Delicious French toast and wonderful service.
Good food, not customizable to people with dietary restrictions. Racist server. Asked for tips and when we denied it based on her customer service she stereotyped us based on our color and said look up American custom culture and here in America we work for tips . Would ve definitely tipped if she was better at her job.
So this was a really tough review because on once hand the food was AMAZING! On the other hand . The service we received was horrible. My fiancé and I sat down roughy at 10:20 took about 15 minutes after getting our drinks to get our order in (waitress took awhile to come back after bringing our drinks ). We were also told we would get waters and then didn t get them until I had to ask about it. We then did not receive our food until 11:10 and what was frustrating about this was there were 5 other tables that came in after us and left before us. The other waitress took great care of her customers and they were in and out quick. Once we received our food we asked for the check. We finished our food and still didn t have the check. We had to ask the other waitress (the one taking care of our customers super well) for the check, in which it finally came. It makes me really sad because the food was DELICIOUS, but the service sucked. AM F. was our server.
Everything about this place is perfect. It defines hole in the wall for location but go there anyway. It has a vibe inside that says let s hang out . The food is something I d expect from a top tier restaurant where you ought to dress up fancy - but you should just come here comfortable and ready to enjoy!
So many delicious vegan options!
Love this place! Several vegan options too :) Im pretty sure the last couple times our server was Avery, and they were incredible solid reccomendation on the NA beer! Would definitely recommend a visit to 821 if youre in the area!
Horrible service and I m convinced I was served last because I m Black. Never eating there again.
I have loved this place for years!!!! I mean 10+ years.... it was such a pleasure to revisit after years of being away from Richmond to find that the food is still incredible. If youre looking for something filling, great for the soul, AND VEGAN... youre in the right place! I always get the vegan breakfast burrito with grits, piping hot tea with honey or agave. The vegan pancakes are also great with fresh fruit, I havent tasted anything terrible here.
The breakfast is excellent! 10 out of 10!! Will try again!!
Vegan food !!!
Amazing and delicious vegan food! Welcoming staff! Definitely a must visit any time Im in town.
Always a crowd because the food is always consistent and delicious so many plant based options! Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from, the tofu scramble is delicious
Great vegan choices!
Great place for a vegan brunch and mimosas. My friends and I are obsessed with the vegan chicken sandwich and the vegan breakfast burrito. Super chill atmosphere too.
Great little neighborhood place with a variety of foods. Plenty of options for meat eaters and non. Within walking distance from Altria. Theater, so good place to go before shows.
This is one of my favorite vegan-friendly restaurants in town. Some of the vegan options have vegan in the name, but some dont. So ask the server. The breakfast potatoes and grits are vegan. Ive also seen vegan pancakes on the Quickness RVA menu, but not online. I love them! The Tofu Poboy is one of my favorite sandwiches. Vegetarian options: Many vegan and vegetarian options on the menu.
Kicking myself for taking so long to visit this place! Great atmosphere, EXCELLENT diner food, good beer selection, and awesome prices. I went for brunch and got the Everything bagel with Lox - SO FREAKING GOOD. I ve had this same meal at many other restaurants and this was by far the best. If you love salmon, this is a must try!
Classic brunch menu. Quick service and lots of vegetarian options.
Stopped in the with family. Great local atmosphere, DELICIOUS food - there was something for everyone (breakfast and lunch). Also, one of the best Bloody Mary s I ve had!
My favorite restaurant in RVA!
The food was really good and the service was super great! I m so grateful for Kelly and Heather being amazing hosts. So many vegan options too!
The food and staff at 821 are amazing. They made my first visit something u will always cherish. My food came to me so quickly and thebstaff was a joy to talk to. I would recommend to everyone!!!!
The best breakfast and service! Can t wait to come back!!!
Love 821 Cafe!! My favorite Brunch spot in Richmond. The best French toast in Richmond hands down!
Great food and staff. Hungry, I d recommend the Big Meaty. Nutella stuffed French toast was great
My husband and I really enjoyed our take out experience here. They have lots of vegan options which was awesome to see. The vegan breakfast sandwich and vegan pancakes were really tasty. The staff is very helpful and friendly too. Would definitely come back when I am in Richmond. Vegetarian options: Vegan options
As always they were extremely busy because the food is phenomenal. The only downfall was I was there for a pickup instead of the counter for 15 minutes and was never acknowledged. Once I did receive my food it was as usual fantastic.
One of the best brunch spots in Richmond for sure. Absolutely amazing for and the place is so small and cute. 100% recommend this place. One of my favorite restaurants in Richmond. Can get sorta busy tho sometimes I pass by and see a line outside the door (usually in the warmer months) Service is always fast and super friendly! I feel like its pretty cheap from what I remember too.
The atmosphere and food was wonderful. Highly inclusive and reminded me of my favorite Sunday brunch spot in my hometown of Greenville NC. The Food was fresh and the bloody mary and mimosas were exactly what I wanted in a brunch drink! Vegetarian options: The WIDE range of vegetarian and vegan options make sure all people have options to choose from and they take it beyond the basics in the catagories as well with Meat substitutes of all kinds. Dietary restrictions: Not only do they offer a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options but gluten free as well to support their clientele. Parking: Parking is paid but very cheap right along the college. I dont know what its like when school is in session around that area but in mid june PLENTY of parking. Kid-friendliness: I would absolutely bring my kids, the diverse and inclusive atmosphere is exactly what I would want them to be exposed too.
Delicious home-style breakfast foods with lots of options. Convenient location and parking. Quick to west us even at peak times on Sunday morning brunch. Will definitely come back!
Fabulous everything! Huge selection of food and cocktails. The flavor was AMAZING! The Big Breakfast Platter was so tasty and leftovers, oh my!
I m really impressed by the variety of the vegan options here. The menu is super creative and there are many unique dishes and cocktails to choose from. They are a busy little place but it is very worth the wait. Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for vegetarian and vegan
This was an amazing experience!!!! My first time here, best Bloody Mary Ive ever had, excellent vegan options, Brie and Brittney slayed, my new favorite brunch spot!!!!
Pretty good all around. Cant ever go wrong with their breakfast options. Im personally not a huge sandwich person but theyre solid. If youre a citrus fan, the lemon french toast is divine. I stop by here every once in a while especially with how accessible getting here is, that being said I need to stop by later in the day and check out the bar options.
We were so happy to find this gem of a place while travelling home from a short DC trip! Lots of vegan options that were delicious, friendly service and such a cute and cozy spot! Thanks so much for the delicious meal and welcoming service! Looking forward to visiting again!!
Food was good. Coffee was very good. The atmosphere was trendy. However, it took our group of 4 + 2 kids an hour to get our table even though we were told 35-40 minutes. We were then told after 45 minutes it will be an additional 5 minutes. Another 15 minutes passed and they told us it would be another 20 minute wait. Then the hostess kept calling for Doug. For 30 minutes. Clearly Doug didn t want to wait like we did. We were then seated after stating we were leaving after waiting over an hour. We waited another 10 minutes after being seated for menus and water. After we got it, we waited an additional hour for our food. And we were never offered a refill on the coffee. Maybe I need to go back on a less busy day. Overall, not terrible. Don t go if you are in a rush.
Food is always good here. But the online delivery ordering is terrible. When I called up there to get it straight the girl that answered the phone was kind of rude. I didn t even get a chance to ask to make sure my order is going to be delivered because she wanted to get off the phone so bad.
The food is great however, from the time I enter the cafe , the old server was extremely rude. She check other table how they doing, I get the silent rude treatment. She ruined my first time experience. I Wait table while going to college , I know how restaurants service is and this will be the first time that I will NOT tip for such horrible service.
Nicen Bar
Humble little breakfast spot. Servers are super kind, and food is hot and good. Great spot especially if you live in walking distance
If you want a huge selection of vegan food, this should be a top pick! Delicious every time and a big menu that accommodates a lot of different dietary restrictions.
This restaurant has tasty vegan options and a fun vibe. They have two TVs playing older movies, which was fun to watch and comment on while we enjoyed our meal.
Food was pretty good but one of my fried eggs had raw whites. Waitress called us out for not tipping before we had left and walked off without letting us explain that we were tipping in cash. Not a very mature thing to do. Made us consider not tipping her at all.
Super tasty food, a little bit awkward from how many people were in such a small space. Worth a visit if you havent been, though not if youre in a rush
Its a very cute breakfast place, though it is very tight in there, so it can be loud. The wait was about 20 minutes for a table, even though there were quite a lot of people waiting, most were able to get a table within 20-30 mins. Their french toast was delicious, and they had decent prices for a restaurant on campus.
gr8 place
I have had breakfast, brunch ,and lunch from this restaurant and when I tell you they have nailed it each time. The prices are fair they have the best bagels I ever had and the staff is friendly. Besides parking and it being such a small place so you may end up waiting for seating I definitely recommend anyone to try this restaurant out! Parking: Besides the paid to park the location is great!
Friendly atmosphere and service! I love their Nutella toast! Yummy ! Vegetarian options: Good food and tasty Pancakes to toasts - vegetarian options are there!
The food was delicious, service phenomenal! Sad to be just passing through, would go there again and again!
Amazing food great vegan options no wonder this place is so busy
Had the misfortune of being nagged into going here by someone I live with and honestly the food wasn t really that good I do enjoy vegan food when it s done right all though I m not a full time vegan. I think this place is overhyped and overpriced
Been going since day 1. Best staff, vegan food, and setting among all Richmond diners. A+
Service was a little slow, but the food was tasty.
Thank you Heather! We had an amazing vegan brunch!
A fine and fancy breakfast was had by all. Thank you.
Vegetarian options: There are a variety of veg options to choose from. Definitely a go-to spot for me! Food
Love this place! The vegan and veg options are some of the best in Richmond. It has a casual diner-like atmosphere with a friendly vibe.
It was sooo yummy!!! Im vegan and the vegan options...... ....delicious. (I couldnt decide so I had the vegan chai french toast and vegan breakfast sandwich.) My date isnt vegan and he enjoyed his smoked salmon bagel just as much! I didnt get a picture of any of the food.....way too good to let the phone eat first.....but the cocktails are yummy too. (He went back without me because he said he couldnt wait .) Highly recommend.
This is a smaller place that offers some nice selections. I went for breakfast and got both the hummus plate (~$11) and the veggie country fried chicken (~$12) which came up to about $26 combined. The fried chicken was about average. Honestly loved the hummus so much I forgot about the fried chicken platter, which was delicious and was definitely worth the cost. This plate is easily sharable among 3-4 people. The restaurant is small and quaint so dont expect too much free seating around if you get there around busy hours.
Super yummy, incredibly vegan spot that will satisfy non-vegans too with their delicious homemade biscuits and meat offerings
Great little cafe. Expect a wait at busy times. The food was excellent, loved the potatoes which were crispy (nobody serves crispy home fries!) Great options for both vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores alike.
Delicious vegan options. I wished I lived closer
Very nice waitresses and real good food. Its a vegan place and its good!
I was surprised at how many vegan and vegetarian options there were. Great go to.
