Had a holiday lunch with a couple of colleagues The short rib egg rolls were delicious, but I would argue the arugula salad that comes with it is just as good. Dont sleep on it. The Lobster & Crab Cake Sandwich is very meaty and the sauce pairs well with it. Give it a shot if you wish to try something new. If you can spare a bit of dessert, I heavily recommend Millies Banana Pudding. Overall, a great experience.

Food was amazing. Had fried chicken crispy and delicious with hot honey sauce on the side. Great place recommend.

I am a Phoenix local that loves trying new places to eat. While checking out the beautiful church across the street from this location, we decided to give it a try. The food and atmosphere is excellent. Cannot recommend it enough!

We stopped in for lunch. The staff was very friendly. The menu has great options and the food is REALLY GOOD!! Nice atmosphere, great space and good music.

Crabcake was very good, confidently priced but I think that s crab anywhere.

They are open to 11 pm according to their own ensure but at 10 said they said they were closed and didn t seat our party. Hours should be reflective of true serving hours. We came from a distance an hour difference in close time is not accurate advertisement.

Had a reservation here last night. 11/22. Waitress was rude until she realized we were spending money then tried to make up for it by being super accommodating. I tipped $20 cash on a $125 bill and my friend tipped $2 on a $60 bill. The waitress followed us OUT of the restaurant and asked us if everything was okay and we said yes. As she walked back in, she mumbled that there wasn t a tip on the card . I have never in all my days ever been confronted about a tip on a bill. Especially when the service was rude and nasty in the entire beginning of our night. We went back inside to let them know how unprofessional that was and there was a literally screaming match between us, the waitress, and the bartender. The waitress was raising her voice, clapping her hands, and blatantly lying in front of manager saying that she didn t mention the tip to us when she came outside. The manager did his best to calm everything down but the rest of the staff was absolutely out of pocket. The bartender gave me my $20 cash back, the manager was slapping his hands on the bar to quiet the yelling staff, it was a complete mess. This is my 4th or 5th visit to this restaurant. I ve had large dinners, small dinners, drinks. I ve done it all here. I have neverrrr had an experience like this ever and definitely not here. I will NEVER be back. And the food this time wasn t even that great. Will be going back today to get my $124 back.

Delicious American food, really enjoyed the braised short ribs and the wedge salad. The short ribs were tender and covered in a delicious gravy. Generous portion and heavy food so you wont leave hungry.

Walked in to this cute little brunch spot after checking out a few spots to eat. Didn t know we would be walking into one of the best brunch spots we ve ever had! The food was delicious, the service was great, and the pricing was great for the quality of the food.

Huge disappointment. The portions were very small. The service was phenomenal but the food was awful. I didnt enjoy anything. I ordered egg rolls, shrimp and grits and banana pudding. The egg rolls were just okay. The shrimp and grits were nasty with a cold(temperature) topping. The banana pudding was disgusting.

OMG. I came here with my family for a girls brunch, and the experience was amazing. The atmosphere was very subtle and welcoming. The waitress was kind and open to many questions about different meals and drink choices. She is very gracious, and her personality is infectious. The food is amazing. Its a perfect day when everyone at the table 100% enjoyed their meal. I do recommend the shrimp and grits. Be mindful there will be an egg-over-easy on top, so if youre not into that, just let them know, and they will further assist you. I also recommend the french toast Bomb. We had a good time and lucky for me, I work a couple of blocks away, so I can have lunch here sometime .

Thank you for an amazing experience. First and foremost, the waitress Isabella was the best waitress we ve ever had anywhere we ve ever been. Very knowledgeable and excited about the food and the menu. Didn t miss a beat on any service provided. Gave us amazing input. My wife had fried chicken. It was probably the best fried chicken she s ever had very well seasoned. The peach cobbler bread pudding was heavenly. I got the braised short ribs and they were so tender and delicious. We re coming back for more fried chicken. Oh yeah, I can t forget about the mac & cheese. The reservation process went very smooth and the host and hostess at the front door were well mannered. The atmosphere is rustic, and the music is great. Nothing is too loud. It s ideal for any occasion. The water in the mason jars is preferred. We were excited to try this restaurant, had high hopes. However, the bartender was inappropriate. She poured two large wine tastes for my partner, and two for herself while working. I was not offered a taste, but more importantly, this degree of unprofessional behavior negatively impacted our experience.

On our way home from Charleston for a cruise, we decided to have dinner in Richmond (halfway point). Found this place on Google and called to see if they had room. They were BOOKED but said we could sit at full-service bar or outdoor front patio. We chose the patio. Our server was helpful, knowledgeable and personable! The Brisket Egg Rolls and Smoky Wings set the tone for our delicious meal! Fried Chicken with Golden Mashed Potatoes and Yummy Collards, Shrimp/Lobster & Grits, Crab Cakes and Cheesy Mac & Cheese washed down with Sweet Tea were all 10/10! My Magnolia Cocktail and a Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding (to go) completed our fantastic meal! Parking: Lot behind restaurant filled quickly after 5 pm on a Saturday

I really had high hopes for this restaurant but I think we came on a bad day. We came on Sat at 11am, so it was pretty empty. The kitchen was slow, so that caused the service to be slow. My sister got the lobster/crab cake and LOVED it. My brother got a burger and LOVED his food. I got the wedge salad with salmon and the salmon was burnt and had no flavor. My husband got a salad and he didn t like his either.

Had a girls night dinner. Food was fantastic, atmosphere was fun and warm. It took me forever to get in here and Im glad I finally did. Would absolutely go back.

We were able to be seated almost instantly. The staff were very nice and welcoming. We started with the brussel sprouts which were very delicious! So good I almost forgot to snap a picture of them, haha. I had the Lillie burger with their Mac and cheese, the burger was tasty but I wasnt really impressed with the mac and cheese. My bf got the chicken sandwich which was a little messy for his taste but enjoyed it.

This is a really great restaurant where the food, atmosphere and service are consistently above par. I bring out-of-town visitors here to showcase Richmond s food scene. The short braised ribs are so tender and delicious, the brussel sprouts can nationally compete, the salmon dish is very tasty, and the crab sandwich is a treat. This is where southern and New American cuisine blend and make really well thought out, tasty food that fills you up without weighing you down. Lillie Pearl ironically is the name of my Dear mother who passed away in 2022, needless to say that the name was the reason for my initial visit. I was curious to experience the atmosphere and cuisine of a restaurant that just so happens to bear the name of someone who is so dearly missed and beloved However upon my arrival and emergence through the finely crafted doors, I was met with kind gestures warm ambiance and welcoming staff. the service & cuisine did not disappoint, The menu contained a lot of the family favorites that my own mom had prepared for us throughout the years, I would describe the food as Delicious and Amazing . I opted for the crisp skin salmon with the pimento Mac and cheese with carrot cake for dessert. Lillie Pearl for me was Southern comfort on my plate and a Hug from Mom in my ,Thanks. I will certainly spread the word and come again .

Excellent food. Drove down from NOVA and this was one of the best meals I have had in awhile. We didnt have reservations so we sat on the patio. Our server was great. We had a couple of dishes, an appetizer and dessert and everything was really good. I would 100% return.

It looks small from the outside, but there s ample seating and the ambiance is beautiful. There is also outdoor seating available. The staff was helpful and energetic and the food was delicious, to include the peach cobbler bread pudding!!!. We will be returning to dine at this location again. Manager Matt came out of back to tell me my chicken sandwich was burnt. They did not bring another for 30min. Then, it was burnt around the edges of the chicken also. He had a sour demeanor when letting him know about the issue. The fries brought out to me were overcooked. I like a few crispy but not the whole order. Once, it was time for the checks Matt came back out and said, Sorry for screwing you over twice. Acknowledging the mistake but did nothing to fix it. I wouldnt recommend if this staff is still working.

We made a reservation for 4:30 (thats what time they opened) and we were greeted and seated immediately. The host was very welcoming. Once seated, we ordered brussel sprouts and smoked wings for appetizers. The brussel sprouts were not hot which I was surprised by considering the restaurant just opened and there werent a lot of people there. Either way, the brussel sprouts and wings were delicious. I ordered the Short Ribs as my entree, my fiance ordered the shrimp and grits and my mom ordered the pork chop. I tasted all of them and was impressed with everything! We ordered the peach cobbler bread pudding for dessert and THAT was *chefs kiss* SO good!! The highlight of my meal. It was my daughters birthday and they played the Happy Birthday song over the speakers and I thought that was so special!!! I loved that. Id definitely save this place and come back again.

This was our second choice bc we could not be seated at a nearby restaurant. So glad we ended up here. Everything, the chicken, the lobster shrimp and grits, the collards, the smother pork chops and the salmon- all delish! A little expensive for a casual eatery, but definitely worth it.

Stopped at Lillie Pearl while passing through Richmond on our road trip. Beet and Burrata Salad was so amazing I didnt realize a pic was in order until after I inhaled it. The OG Fried Chicken Sandwich is quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich Ive ever had...Chicken was great, not dry, not fatty, breading was flavorful and crispy, just enough spicy honey for taste without dripping down your arms, and perfect type of pickle to complement the other flavors. Oh, and stole a bite of a Lillie Burger --> delish!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed the rib eye egg roll, Lillie burger, and roasted Brussel sprouts. The wait staff were incredibly pleasant and the atmosphere provided plenty of space for accommodation; there was even outdoor seating. While it is on the pricer side, it is a nice place to enjoy American cuisine.

The patio outside was a perfect stop for lunch after walking around the city all morning. We started off with the brussel sprouts, which were fried and drizzled with some delicious sauce. We tried the crab cake lobster sandwich and it was impeccable! Tasted like it was made with real crab and chunks of lobster, highly recommend. We also tried the house burger, and it was amazing! The jam on it really set off the flavor and the beef was good quality. We both got collard greens for a side which should be a staple everywhere- so much better than the standard fries or onion rings! They have some good beers on draft, we tried one of the Pilsners and one of the IPA.

What a wonderful experience! From bringing glasses of water as we sat down, to extra sauces to try, the service and atmosphere were great. We had four different entrees and each was better than the next. Starting with Short Rib Egg Rolls with a fantastic Thai Basil dipping sauce; unique sides of Baked pimento Mac N Cheese and Roasted Brussel Sprouts. From the wedge salad with grilled salmon (moist, fresh and tasty), to the crispy Smashville Chicken Sand with a terrific hot sauce, and a Slab BLT, and Deli Club both on toasted corn bread; we were all extremely pleased with the entire lunch. Cant wait to go back!

WOW! What a difference, Wednesdays review was one of the worst restaurant experiences in RVA, but tonights was one of the best! Excellent service from a highly trained staff. Outstanding food, affordable drinks and no chaos (as on Wednesday). Cant wait to go back. Had lobster, shrimp and grits and it was well done, nicely seasoned and absolutely delicious. Our server was quietly elegant in her service, everyone was gracious and it was a lovely night out with friends. Dietary restrictions: NOT the place for Vegetarians but if you are pescatarian, you will be fine.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Such a cute place with a sweet view of a cute church across the street, great staff and a nice vibe. I recommend sitting near the front windows for sure. If you like pimento cheese, the pimento mac and cheese is absolutely amazing! The smashville fried chicken sandwich was to die for, with lots of pickles, great cole slaw and a decent amount of spice on delectable fried chicken- crispy, juicy- just the best. Although the food is insanely overpriced regardless of the fact that they use the CHEAPEST food distributor (US foods/performance) MAKE SURE YOU TIP YOUR SERVER EXTRA SINCE THEY HAVE TO SHARE IT WITH THE Very lazy kitchen staff who throws their trash on top of mail deliveries and has their trash all over the alleyway behind their establishment. Has their food delivery trucks block the entrances to apartment complexes (which is a huge fire hazard). I wouldnt even trust the food here or at buttermilk and honey OR at ML steak or even the newly added Foundation as I have witnessed workers bringing food thru this trashy alleyway and across broad street on a simple little wagon with no covering on it, which is disgusting if you consider all the piss, garbage and dust its trekking thru!! All of this behavior is allowed by our TERRIBLE NEIGHBOR Mike Lindsey and this goes on at all his restaurants here on grace and broad street. Incredibly disappointing and yall need to be better about this. Do us all a favor and stop opening restaurants on this street if youre going to be so disrespectful to everyone else who lives on the block.

Food was delicious! The lobster sauce for the grits was well executed, and the bread pudding had a great balance of flavors and had just the right density. Was a little pricey, but not too horribly so. One appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert was around $100 with tip.

What to say about a place where food was great and so was our waitress? Me and my daughter looking for food after walking around Richmond decided on the restaurant 8/10 after seeing the pics and reviews. Unfortunately for us the host explained the only seating was at bar, which was full, or the patio. This despite the restaurant being less than half full. I let my daughter choose and chose not to make an issue over options provided. Shortly after a Caucasian family in shorts/attire more athletic in style had no problems being let to sit inside. Just as hostess had a lot of nerve to treat us that way I will have a lot of nerve to post this because I did not appreciate being treated this way with my daughter. That being said food was good just be aware if you have been walking around town they may not want you inside depending on their criteria. They can have their own viewpoint but that is mine. My reply to owner is that I left 45 min to 1 hr later and your restaurant was half full. So actually more busy and they asked if I wanted to eat inside at that time once they brought dessert but I had no desire at that point. Anyone may be one thing or the other at different times but people do make dumb mistakes. Good news is there are plenty of good restaurants so we will just both have to move on and no reason for me to return. My only statement would be to ensure proper training because at no time were reservations mentioned and like I said the restaurant was not busy for her at least at that time.

Food and service were amazing! Stopped in on a whim and had the best BLT I ve ever had. I didn t even know a BLT could be that bomb. The bread is literally insane. The Mac and cheese is perfection. The service was super fast and friendly we re thinking about going back for dinner tonight even though we literally ate there this afternoon it was that good. It s definitely a new favorite and one of the best I ve had ever. Vegetarian options: Salads and Sides are all vegetarian and good enough to stand on their own. They don t do faux meats.

We ordered the shrimp and grits, chicken and French toast, breakfast potatoes, and the sweetest thang cocktail ! Everything was very savory and the service was great ! The portions were a nice size and the sweetest thang drink was refreshing but not overly swee.decided to get the peach cobbler bread pudding to go and that was also very satisfying. Lillie Pearl is truly an RVA gem! I will return every chance I get. The food and drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere was very pleasant. As a S.C. native, I highly recommend the Lobster + Shrimp + Grits (creamy and flavorful) and the Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding (warm and sweet) is to die for! My cocktail, Sweetest Thang was beautifully made as well. My only complaint is the booth seat we had in front of the hostess stand seemed to be a little awkward to sit on - like it s not wide enough so my colleague and I had to sit at weird angles further away from one another just to be comfortable. Otherwise, I ll be going back every chance I get to visit.

**Lillie Pearl Brunch Review** Last Sunday, I finally decided to check out Lillie Pearl for brunch. Having heard nothing but good things about it and always seeing it packed when I drive by, I figured it was time to see what all the buzz was about. Despite not having a reservation, I was seated immediately. I chose to sit outside since it wasn t too hot yet and I wanted to enjoy the sun. To start, I ordered the fried Brussels sprouts, which were cooked to perfection. The sticky Asian sauce paired with the spicy buttermilk ranch was an incredible combination. I also tried the short rib egg rolls, which were both cheesy and crispy an excellent choice. For my entrée, I went with the short rib breakfast burrito, and it was a fantastic decision. The flavors were well-balanced and satisfying. The pineapple mimosa I ordered was equally delightful and refreshing. The service was friendly, and my server did a great job checking up on me throughout my meal. Overall, Lillie Pearl is definitely a place to check out. I can t wait to return and try more items from their menu.

Was in richmond to hike and swim around the james river, stopped to check out this place as it was close by,Food was absolutely phenomenal. We didnt get seafood but the fried chicken and fixings were perfect and the eggs rolls with the basil sauce ( chefs kiss) well lets just say Id go back just for those alone. Its a nice upperscale culinary twist on fairly basic menu items youve probably seen before, Like I never would have never guessed the basil sauce would pair so perfectly with the cheesy pork goodness of the eggs rolls. Pricing was fair they have some pricey stuff ( mostly seafood) and also items that are more budget friendly. Would recommend ,good service, manager or owner even stopped by to check on us which is always nice and for a guy who thinks going out to eat means a chain restaurant of some kind this place was very refreshing. 5 stars!!

I came in to dine in for dinner. However, this particular night the service was a bit slow. I ordered the short rib egg rolls and lobster and crab cakes to go as well as a side of Mac and cheese. The egg rolls were delicious and filling! The lobster crab cakes and corn were very tasty. The mac n cheese was just ok it was dry and not as creamy as other pics I ve seen. Overall the food was very good and I ll be back.

Sat at the bar on a fairly busy Thursday night. The hostess welcomed us and offered bar seating for 2 with the other tables in the restaurant being held for larger groups of reservations. The lady working full service at the bar was busy and took some time to take and deliver our drink order but was hustling. The beer which was the restaurant s signature beer was great. The crab cake entree was delicious and fresh! The side of Mac and cheese was unique and you could tell made from scratch. Finally the peach bread pudding was so unique and tasty. I d definitely recommend this cute and lively spot for visitors and locals.

In town for a baseball tournament and my son and I stopped here for lunch. We had BLT (with collards as side) and crab/lobster cake sandwich with fries. Both arrived quickly and were excellent. Service was friendly and efficient.

My wife and I were looking for a new place to eat this week and found Lillie Pearl through a Google Search. Weve eaten at other restaurants on the same block so we thought wed try Lillie Pearl, which had a 4.6 rating at the time we found it. We parked at a deck three blocks away that weve used before. We signed up for 2 hours for the low, low price of $3.50. Street parking is limited, but when you go to or near downtown, thats pretty standard. Although there were only two of us, we were seated quickly at a six-top table so that we would not have to wait since it was the only available table. Our waitress, Isabella, arrived instantly and took our drink orders cheerfully and I felt like she was really happy to be working there... a good sign. Both my wife and ordered the Smashville Fried Chicken Sandwich. Normally we dont like to order the same thing so that we can try different flavors, but this sounded great... and it was! Its quite spicy, but not just for heat, the spice had a lot of flavor. The breading was thick, crunchy, and delicious. The fries were well-done and very crispy as well. Isabella showed up at our table any time we needed anything... before we could ask for it. The restaurant was quaintly furnished and decorated with brick and repurposed lumber for walls and a nice old black and white tile floor. BIG plus... there were THREE unisex bathrooms, which tripled the chance one would be available. Very important to someone who drinks Diet Coke like its my blood type. The price was reasonable. Including a twenty-plus percent tip and a glass of wine it was $57. That would have seemed high to me before Covid, but nowadays I just bite the bullet and pay it because everythings higher these days. Many thanks to Lillie Pearl for a great experience!

When I landed in Richmond, I asked a lady working at the airport where I could get some great shrimp and grits. She immediately referred me to the Lillie Pearl, and I can say with certainty, I was not disappointed. Ive been here twice since I landed and will definitely be coming back during my time here.

WHAT!! We found this place by chance for a birthday dinner, the food was great. The server asked if we needed anything, I said salt, and she said to try the food first then let her know No salt needed. We had the lamb shank, the lobster/shrimp and grits, and Mac n cheese all very flavorful and delicious. Plenty food, yet no doggy bag needed (cleaned the plates) Some places have 4/5 stars and you get there and the food looks decent on the plate but taste terrible but Lillie Pearl did not disappoint. Had dinner with friends when in town for a concert. Suprisingly uncrowded on a Friday night, we had made a reservation and were seated right away at 7:30pm, the restaurant was only about 1/3 full. Service was good and the food was really good, especially enjoyed the short rib egg rolls (appetizer), roasted cauliflower (appetizer) and seared striped bass (the sauce was really good too). Not too loud, so we could talk, but had a good, lively vibe.

My wife wanted to try something new and so she asked would me and our daughter like to try out something new, she heard about this restaurant, so I looked up the reviews and was amazed at all, the reviews either had four or five stars Which is unheard of even for the best But because of my wife and the reviews me and our daughter gave in. When we got there I was surprised that everything was sold separate at a very high price. But we got pass that because we don t mind paying for a good meal The chicken meal came with 1chicken breast, mashed potatoes and greens Chicken was salty (I mean SALTY), mashed potatoes was nasty and greens was too big (not cut up). Smoked chicken was way to salty My shrimp, lobster and grits was okay but not something I would order again, well not only that, we all agreed that that was our first and last time there I wanted to give them 1 star, but 2 stars for the smiles, greetings and Short rib egg rolls And after going, those reviews can t be true

Went here recently for dinner for the first time. We started with the pork belly and smoked chicken wings for appetizer. Pork belly was very good, tender. The wings were not bad. Very crispy with a little bit of spice. Could have been more seasoned. For entrees, we ordered the pork chop and sea bass. The sea bass was excellent. The pork chop and accompanying hopping John were both super dry. I returned it for the beef short ribs, which were very tender. Not as seasoned as they could have been, but very tender. Also had greens and mac and cheese separately as sides. Both were good, but the mac had been scooped from a larger bowl behind the counter and wasnt very hot. For dessert, we had the banana pudding and peach cobbler bread pudding. The banana pudding was very good. The bread pudding was very sweet and overdone. Most of my pieces of bread were crunchy/crispy, rather than being soft like bread pudding. We only ordered water to drink, which was very good. Service wise, there were long waits for the waitress to take our order, bring a refill, etc, however, everyone was very friendly. It was a Saturday and the place was full, maybe they were short staffed, Overall, a pretty mixed bag. YMMV, but its worth a try.

Fantastic food, great vibe, beautiful presentation. Make sure to reserve a table before going. We dont eat meat, yet we got great food options, variety and taste. We had roasted hairloom baby carrots, fried brussel sprouts and hand cut fries. The food was delicious with a lot of flavour. Highly recommended adding hot sauce. Vegetarian options: They have great filling options.

Great food, friendly service.

Lackluster. Over priced for average food. We came in for dinner for the first time, and the flavors are just okay. Our entrees came out cold, and we sent one back. The plate we received back tasted worse. There are many other restaurants in RVA that are a better option than this one.

Good food with some spins at good prices. Outdoor and indoor seating. Receptionist couldn t seat me (solo) at a table inside even though multiple tables were available the whole time I was there. Outdoor is fine too but the tables were a little dirty. Nevertheless it s a good experience.

I did a take out order a few weeks ago on the word of a colleague and have only one word for this establishment OUTSTANDING!!! The food was amazing even after the short trip home. The service was on point as I was not made to wait at all (even during a Friday night dinner rush) The atmosphere made me wish I had decided to dine in. It felt cozy though it was not small and the whole restaurant smelled soooo good. I feel thankful that I was referred to this place and well most definitely be back

Food was good, our waitress was super nice and attentive, but the atmosphere left more to be desired. It was pretty bright, especially with the light from the open kitchen. I was also disappointed because I could only get a reservation 8:30 PM and when I got there it was actually almost empty. I tried to call several times a few days in advance during business hours to find out the walk-in situation and no one answered the phone. I had the lobster crab cakes, it does come with 2 cakes but its mostly fine not lump crab meat and not a lot of lobster.

My daughter and I went there for brunch after she completed the Pepsi Bowling Invitational. The wait time was excellent, around 1:50PM, and we were able to be seated right away. The host was friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasty and great value for your dollar. I had the Lillie Burger and my daughter had the Short Rib Breakfast Burrito. Both were good portions and potentially could have left-overs for another day. There was a birthday celebration surprise for a customer and the entire restaurant, including the staff, sang along to Steve Wonders Happy Birthday song. Would definitely recommend making your way to this establishment. Our waitress was in training. She didnt refill our waters, as we did not order any other drinks, she nor did anyone else come to take the dirty/empty plates, cups or silverware from the table, she didnt ask if we wanted to try dessert, just brought the check over. There were aspects of her attention to the table that lacked but hopefully will gain that experience with time. Parking: The parking is essentially street parking which is usually pay-to-park. Since it was Sunday, parking was free

Exceptional on all levels. Amazing service, great menu and all items were delicious. We enjoyed the beet and burrata salad, the striped bass, the short ribs and finished with the peach cobbler bread pudding. Cocktails were also excellent. Can t say enough about how wonderful an experience eating here was. Look forward to returning.

Food was excellent, great selection and service. Menu had several gluten free options. Only giving four stars for environment because our bench seating was uncomfortable. There were other seats it was just where we happened to get seated. Next time Id like to try their outdoor seating. Food was incredible though and kind of meal you want to eat slow and savor. I eat out a lot because I am a foodie and recognize people often cook better than me. This was hands down the best soul food I have ever had. The meat was tender, the greens seasoned to perfection, the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese hit the spot! The bartender was also a breath of fresh air. She was knowledgeable, gave recommendations, and made a killer old fashioned. Dont look elsewhere. Check this spot out!

Upon arriving, my husband and I were only the second couple in there. We got there right at opening at around 4:30. The drinks took a little long to come out, they came out around 15 minutes after placing the order which was kind of long being that nobody else was in there. I will say the drinks were absolutely amazing though. My husband and I then placed an order for our appetizer which came out around 35 to 40 minutes. We had to flag our waitress down to place our order for our entrees. My food came out over cooked and cold. My husbands food was really good. I will say that the food is mediocre, slightly overpriced. Our service was some of the worst Ive had in a while. However I will say that the manager goes above and beyond. He truly cares about his customers and tries to do everything in his power to make things right. I would say that every establishment needs management like this one. We ended up getting a complimentary dessert and its probably one of the best desserts Ive had in a long time.

Unfortunately not very good food was hit or miss but overall pretty poor, compounded by very slow service. I would head elsewhere.

Food and drinks were great!

The atmosphere was great! Low lighting and great R&B music. The food was pretty good. I had the fried chkn, mashed potatoes, and greens. The chkn was seasoned perfectly, and mashed potatoes were out of this world. However, the greens were not cut well. They were big leaves with little seasoning. The food also took about an hr to receive, which is why I rated it and the service three stars. The owner walked around and spoke to everyone, which again made the atmosphere that much better. I would visit again when Im not in a rush.

My wife and I were visiting, and we came across this place. We own several restaurants and bars in the Raleigh NC area. I can not say enough about the quality of the food! EVERYTHING tasted WONDERFUL! Our server, Caroline, was polite, funny, and overall a great server. Braxton, the GM, came by and checked on us as well. He gave us the history of this place and the other ventures they have in the area. He was a class act. I visited during a busy lunch hour during a convention so sat and had my meal at the bar. I ordered the beet and burrata salad with chicken but I had them make the chicken spicy like one of their sandwiches. This was one of my favorite salads to date. The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant was clean and everyone was kind. If I go back to Richmond this will be on the list to revisit.

The best meal in a really long time. Wife had the wedge salad and she said it was the best she ever had. The smashville chicken sandwich was perfect. Even the kids meals were on point! All food was perfect. Everyone was friendly and the waitress would keep an eye on us without interruption, which at first seemed like she was being rude but she wasnt... She was being respectful.... It had just been so long since we had someone who cared about our experience and was attentive that we misinterpreted! She was like the super spy of waitresses... Like a superhero. She took care of every little thing we could think of before we thought of it. What a sweetheart! We left in a wonderful mood and just stoked! The ambiance was great... Sound absorption, calm atmosphere, staff was cool and not stressed. If every restaurant was like this, the world would be a better place.

We visited Lillie Pearl during a weekend getaway to Richmond, and were VERY glad we did! The food was top notch - a great combination of unique cuisine, fantastic execution, and outstanding service. Hi my name is gianni I came here with my family ( mom brother grampa ) First got our drinks I ordered a Shirley temple, it was amazing I can actually taste that cherry essence unlike usual restaurants. We all get our food, I got fried chicken, crispy skin, chicken was tender and mashed potatoes on the side were immaculate, my mom had got short ribs and that was much better than expectation. Only thing is that they forgot the Mac and cheese but managed to get it out in under 2 mins Mac and cheese was crispy cheesy and overall I give this place a 5 star review

Do yourself a favor and dine with Lillie Pearl. Atmosphere, staff, food etc are all excellent. What the Lindsey Food Group are doing is nothing short of remarkable. It is an amazing experience and the food is even better. By far the best southern infused restaurant you will ever dine with and you wont leave hungry and youll be happy. You have to try the short rib egg rolls...what! Had a salad added fried chicken. The rest of the group grabbed the fried chicken sandwich. All was tasty, reasonable prices. Lillie Pearl delivers quality Southern cuisine, every time!

Came with my family this weekend to celebrate my grandmother s birthday. We traveled from different states and came here for dinner. The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy and mellow, and the service was perfect. I highly recommend coming here for a date night or they ever you have planned. It is well worth it.

I came here for a work event and we were directed to the event space. I got the short rib and a couple others got the salmon. Both were wonderful. Drinks were a little slow but heavily poured and made for a lively evening. The night was made by the service given by Rylee. She took the time to connect with everybody and made us all feel welcome while giving wonderful service. Her patience and expertise made the night a wonderful experience!

Delicious smash burgers

I ve eaten here a few times now, and I have had something different each time. All of it has been delicious. Absolutely an RVA staple don t miss out! P.S. try the heirloom carrot appetizer. I would eat all my veggies this way if I could. Parking: There s a parking lot on 5th and limited street parking nearby.

Place was recommended and definitely was a good choice. Food was delicious and wait time not too long. Presentation of food was really nice! Waitress was not that attentive so took away from experience, but food was really good. Make sure to have powdered sugar on your chicken and french toast if you order that lol, mines didnt but requested it!! Prices were actually decent and ambience soothing with great music.

Our food was DELICIOUS but that s not the reason I m writing this review. Our server, Michelle, was AMAZING. She was so attentive to us. She provided great recommendations on the menu. We definitely will be back! :)

This is now one of my most favorite restaurants in Richmond. The atmosphere it amazing, and it should be illegal for food to be prepared to such perfection. The service was amazing. We are already looking for our next opportunity to return.

Everything was great. I took 1 star off for atmosphere, simply because, my guests and I were looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, where we could converse without having to shout across the table. If you are looking for a high octane vibe, this restaurant has it. Our service was just right. The food was inventive with surprising taste combinations that delighted our palates. The menu descriptions did not do justice to the actual taste combinations. We had smoked chicken wings with a homemade ranch dressing and stuffed short ribs with pimento cheese in a crispy shell as starters. Each main course, lobster and shrimp with cheese grits, coffee laced filet mignon, mashed potatoes and white carrots in a decadent sauc e and short ribs with great sides were indulgent. No room for dessert. Coffee finished the meal. I will be back! Parking: We found a parking lot around the corner. A short walk to the restaurant. Parking was 12 dollars

This review is based on 3 experiences of Lillie Pearl, two were in person, and one via Ubereats. The fried chicken is absolutely amazing and is a must try. Only other place in Richmond that can hold a candle to it is Laura Lees. The collards are amazing too, as is the macaroni cheese, short rib eggrolls, and coffee rubbed steak medallions. I was not as wow-ed by the mashed potatoes as most are, but they went well with the meals. Cant wait to do brunch here.

Needed a place to meet my buddy from DC while I was in VA Beach and based on some other reviews I chose this place. Is was perfect! The food, drinks, service and music were all on point! 2 hour car ride wasnt cool but we left full and more than satisfied. Also, just a few blocks from the capitol park so I got to see some cool history. The short ribs rolls were amazing. If Im ever in Richmond again Ill be back for sure!

Too full to go into too much detail but this food is so good I will be thinking about it for sometime. I honestly can t remember the last time I had a meal like that so I must return. If I stayed in the restaurant I may have exploded. Everything and I do mean all elements of the dishes were exceptional. They were super busy as well (convention in town) and service was incredibly kind.

Fried chicken was really good. Very crispy and well seasoned. The carrot cake was one of the best Ive had in Richmond.
