21 N 17th St, Richmond, VA 23219, United States
Industrial spot adorned with local art offers New American menus & live music, mostly on weekends.
Stopped in for breakfast today , the experience was alright, the service was extremely slow , it took maybe 10-14 minutes to get my drink, the pea on spread was delicious and the croissant breakfast sandwhich with egg bacon and cheese was pretty good. Overall it was a alright experience . The wait staff needs more help for certain.
Great service. Fun selection of foods. Make sure to get beef hash on the side... A MUST! Drink selection was really good. They had a Carmel cider drink special that was delicious and perfect for the fall. Just a wonderful brunch experience!
I was visiting Richmond, and was looking for a good spot for breakfast. Lulu's had good reviews and I'm glad this is where we ate. The food was delicious and our server was very good! I had the Atlantic at our servers recommendation, and it was perfect!! They don't have any flavored coffee creamers, though. Not a huge deal. The only hiccup was that I had also ordered a meal to go, and when it was brought out, the order was incorrect. It was taken back and the correct meal was brought out. Definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast!
Went for Sunday Brunch with a party of 6. Got reservations the night before because I was told they can be crowded. Was sat right away in the main dining room, it wasn’t very crowded, it took almost 10 minutes before a server came to get our drinks. After ordering the drinks came out quickly, the mimosas were tasty and in a normal bar glass, not the tiny flutes so that was a plus. We had to wait 35 minutes for our food and rarely saw our server in that time. The food was a sold delicious, it was the service time that I detest. Everything the group ordered was delicious, recommend the Shrimp and Grits and the Chicken and Red Velevt waffles! Party of 6 out the door was 134$.
the food was SO GOOD! the only issue i had was that the wait time was pretty long. we got seated fast but the food coming out and then ordering the check took longer then i thought. but again some of the best food i had in Richmond, if you have the time i would try it!
RESERVATION are a must on Saturdays!!!! I'm happy I did otherwise you may not get a table or have a couple hours wait. Went on Saturday and the vibe was great... Music was on point, food took a little long- expected with the sheer number of people and all orders are made to order! I had the Atlantic omelette 🤤 soooooo good and my gal pal had the red velvet waffle- which she loved! Oh! And if you order mimosa you can take the rest to-go!!!
Lulu's customer service is out of this world!! Their food is also out of this world!! We will definitely be coming back here next time we are in Richmond!! We had a pitcher of the Tropical Mimosas, a Bloody Mary, Shrimp & Stone-Milled Pimento Grits and Chicken & Red Velvet Waffle. Everything was absolutely delicious. Tropical Mimosas - were very refreshing and a perfect start to our brunch Bloody Mary - Bloody Mary mix is made in house and is absolutely divine Shrimp&Stone-Milled Pimento Grits - this is the star of the show! It was so creamy and perfectly seasoned! Chicken&Red Velvet Waffle - the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the house potatoes were something you could just eat a whole plate of all by itself, the sausage gravy is absolutely amazing, the waffle was good but a bit dense and dry the syrup didn't even soak into it (would have been better with a good pad of melted in butter in or something)
They say, "Vatiety is the spice of life." Lulu's dishes surely offer a spicy kick. We appreciate the fact that our waiter mentioned this prior to ordering. My 9-year-old son was able to substitute his meal to avoid Lulu's spicy potatoes. 🥔 In addition, the Chicken & Biscuit recipe included spices, too. Good thing I ordered an unsweetened tea to tame the heat. My father rated the croissant sandwich 6 out of 10. Three of my family members ordered the cheese grits. Unfortunately, the texture of these grits prevented us from enjoying it. The Red Velvet Waffles were a favorite at our table. My 20-year-old daughter said, "The scrambled eggs are delicious." Overall, we enjoyed the experience and liked the atmosphere and location.
No information is better than wrong information. Google stated you were open and to find out you were closed was disappointing.
Josh was super cool, friendly with our kiddo and made fantastic recommendations. Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles was incredible. If I had more time would have tried the Bloody Mary.
The Brazilian Mimosa and the Winter Margarita was so good and both had a wonderful kick! I also had the French Toast w/ bacon and eggs! That was amazing as well. Looking forward to going back !
Honestly, my chicken and red velvet waffles kind of tasted like nothing but I would go back and try something different.
I loved this little spot. Good drink and food. Across from an active train station hub, locally showcasing intelligent architecture. Of course as all my reviews usually are, a little tipsy. But Id revisit and recommend.
We loved our experience here! Food was so quick and delicious. Staff was warm and attentive and they played the best music
Excellent, excellent and excellent!
Horrible customer service. Good luck making reservations. Terrible management as well.
Sat at the bar, excellent service!
Waited for our food for over an hour just to find out they never put it in in the first place.
Fantastic brunch
It is my favorite breakfast joint. I love everything about it. I cant praise it highly enough.
Took my nephew to brunch. Very interesting neighborhood. The block is closed to traffic which I appreciated.
Food and drinks were delicious
Creative menu, fantastic service. I highly recommend.
This is definitely a wonderful place to enjoy some delicious food!
Tasty brunch. I enjoyed the lobster biscuit. Good portions too. Would go back.
Loved Lulus; The food and atmosphere are exeptional! The staff are very freindly and knowledgeable of the menu items!
We came for brunch and were disappointed. We had the Corned Beef Breakfast Burrito ($18), Smoked Salmon Omelette ($17), Americano ($3), XL Biscuit ($3), and glass of milk ($3). The Corned Beef Burrito was good. However, the smoked salmon was way too salty and poor quality. The biscuit was just plain bad: dry, almost hard, with more of a stale cake texture. The only saving grace of this visit was our bartender, Aaliyah! She was very positive and constantly hustling. If you re the Lulu manager should pay her more. If you re not the manager, you should come hire her away.
My friend and I dined in a few months ago. We had a good experience until an hour after leaving and I started throwing up, it happened 10+ times all in the same day. He was also queasy throughout the day. I called the restaurant and let them know, an assistant manager promised a full refund. After a few weeks of not receiving a refund, the same assistant manager then informed me they won t refund the meal. She offered to comp a meal. Why would I go back and eat somewhere that made me violently ill?
I think these were some of the best home style potatoes I ve ever had, they actually had flavor!! And weren t incredibly dry!!
A very nice atmosphere!! Very rich food! A very pleasant atmosphere!! The delicious flavor!
A very nice place And rich and succulent breakfast
You know the place is going to be good when they have a patio bar waiting for you Sunday mornings. Food, service, staff, all are wonderful!
This was recommended by the hotel the food was delicious I got the red velvet waffles and the were delicious . Make sure you get the pecan cream cheese with them it is better than syrup.
Anytime family/friends come to town, I bring them to Lulu s for a great brunch experience. Consistently good, great portions and friendly staff. Not to mention the playlist is too good during the week lol. They know their way around an egg and I ll continue to spend my money with them!
THE FOOD WAS NASTY! and the seats real hard.. bring a cushion
1st time visit & all was great Waitresse was fantastic, will be back Food
Amazing food! Atmosphere was great. Service was on point. Shrimp and grits was perfect!
The food here is great. But the services are not professional at all, and the space is small and not and loud.
Food was beyond amazing, service was so genuine & helpful. will absolutely be a staple for any Richmond trips we take in the future! 10/10
We just had a SPLENDID breakfast at Lulus! Every little thing was peachy keen Josephine! Aaliyah, our server, was prompt and super friendly and utterly cool, without being cloying, which is a hard trick to pull off. The food was zippily seasoned to perfection, without being excessively overzealous, which is also a hard trick to pull off. I most highly recommend the red velvet waffle with pecan cream cheese and strawberries! I added a side of bacon and home fries to my order, then added a side of sausage gravy to dip my homefries in, which I feel might be one of the most triumphant decisions of my life. Judge me if you must. The atmosphere and music curation was peppy and fun and made me dance in my seat whilst eating. Lulus you are welcome to open a restaurant in Lancaster, PA anytime you are ready!
Staff were very attentive and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Cant wait to go back.
im visiting from out of state and wow!! i got the croissant sandwich and it was delectable! it was huge, and the coffee was fresh and tasty! :) loved it!
Food was delicious. We got the chicken and red velvet waffles and the crab omelet with a side of grits. Everything tasted great, full of flavor. Our server Aaron was great, very friendly and patient with our questions.
The food was excellent there was nothing that didnt taste good and the service was just as great as the food. Theres a nice outdoor space for you to get at if you dont want to be inside definitely worth going to to have a nice meal or a good drink
A great little spot! Service and food was awesome! They have a great staff.
Here for the day and decided to go get some brunch on a random Thursday morning. When I found this place I was so happy was greeted sat and taken care of immediately. And don t let me get started with the food. Ordered the biscuits and gravy wow just wow. If you are ever in the Richmond area please go.
Staying in downtown Richmond for a wedding & decided to go somewhere in walking distance. We decided on Lulu s and it did NOT disappoint. Everything on the menu sounded so good & Rashita was super sweet and her suggestions were on point! We had the chicken & red velvet waffles & the corned beef hash. Food & service were both top notch & would definitely come back if we re ever in town again!
Shrimp and grits was really good!
I went with a group for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was everything I hoped it would be. I had the weekly special of grits with pork belly and asparagus. I tasted a tiny bit of what my friends ordered as well and it was just as good as mine. You may have to wait to get in, but, in my experience, if theres a line, theres a reason for it!
Food was great! Our waiter was on point and dining outside with good music makes for a great brunch!
We tried the Irish coffee and mimosas, they were very strong so if you don t like that ask them to augment! The brunch was pretty good (red velvet waffles and French toast) and not too expensive so I d recommend giving it a try.
This place is a gem!...The food is absolutely delicious. The service is great, and the vibes are everything. Chefs kiss
Seasoning on the biscuits and gravy and the huevos was on point and reasonably priced. Would def come back
My partner and I are very much looking forward to many more visits to Lulus! The vibes were chill and welcoming and the food was incredible. We had the shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffles yuuuummmm
I made a reservation for 3 at 2pm on a Sunday. When I walked into the restaurant the first thing I noticed was how loud it was. I had to yell at the person next to me to be able to hear, so we sat outside. The server gave us our drinks and then never came back to our table again. We had to wave down a different server to place our orders. 30 minutes go by and we still haven t gotten our food and the server has yet to stop at our table since he gave us our drinks. We wave down the different server again and they tell us there is still at least a 15 minute wait. We leave without our food. We saw all the food ready under hot lamps, there just weren t enough runners to bring out the food in a timely manner. I m not eating food that s already been sitting out for 15+ minutes. If you can t get your food out in under 30 minutes you shouldn t have that many tables.
i would put 0 if there was an option, My family and I came here for brunch, we were served our drinks then waited 25 minutes before eventually finding another server to take our order. After we took our order we waited an hour before finally asking where our food is. I saw our order sitting on the hot plate so i asked if i could just grab it myself and they said no itll be out in 15 more minutes our original server who only took our drinks order didnt bother to come up to us once to apologize for the long wait. We waited 15 more minutes and our food still hadnt been served so we just left.
Truly one of the best brunch experiences I ve ever had. Food is delicious, service is attentive, and atmosphere is warm and trendy. A truly great food experience with my wife
Dry, dense, hard biscuits. Lumpy grits, Inconsistent cook on breakfast potatoes.
This place is awesome! Front desk at the Omni recommended I come here and it did not disappoint. What an incredible vibe and the server was so friendly and helpful with recommendations. I had a latte and the corned beef hash. Wooowwwww! As a longtime hash fan, this was some of the best. 10/10 would recommend to anyone traveling thru RVA!
Walked out, sat there for almost an hour and no food. Other s received their food. Service was unprofessional!
Love this place! Food always good! Chloe is so AMAZING! Food came out slow today but she was the absolute best!! Thank you
Was staying in Richmond for a concert and found lulus on a Google search. loved the atmosphere, our server and the food. great experience
Ive been here twice already, and I just cant get enough of this place. The food is amazingly flavored and the atmosphere is just bangin. First time, I sat indoors and our waiter was AMAZING. He was very attentive to our requests and made accommodations when needed. He helped us with all out inquiries and made sure everyone enjoyed their meals. My recent venture was equally blissful. We ate in the outdoor area and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed our food in the suns rays while sipping on refreshing drinks. I highly recommend the red velvet waffle with fried chicken. Delicious! Also, go for the seasoned potatoes!
Lulus was amazing! Great food and great service. Everything I had was great! 10/10 highly recommend.
A Hidden Gem: Extraordinary Corned Beef Hash This spot has quickly become my go-to for an exceptional dining experience. With a global palate and countless culinary adventures, I can confidently say that their corned beef hash is simply the best Ive ever tasted. The flavors are rich, the texture is perfect, and the service is impeccable. Whether youre a local or just passing through Richmond, this place is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates truly delicious food.
Unfortunately Lulus was closed due to the staff being on vacation. My nieces and I were looking forward to checking this place out we had heard many wonderful things about this restaurant. Next time Im in VA I will definitely plan to put Lulus on my list again. Im putting four stars only because thats the only way I can submit my comment.
Amazing food and service. It is always packed so make sure you make reservations. The chicken and red velvet waffles were to die for.
Good food, great service!
We were seated outside which was ok but terribly hot. There was several customers smoking in the dining area which was terrible for those of us that are non-smokers.
The staff is amazing. So many acknowledged us upon arrival. Brayden was excellent. Above and beyond. We had the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits, washed it down with the tropical mimosa and house Bloody Mary. I m from the south and even New Orleans girts can t hold a candle to these. Absolutely amazing, well seasoned, excellent flavor profile. The chicken and red waffles come with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausage gravy. We were floored at how amazing it was. Again. Seasoned perfectly. The chicken was crunchy heavy on the smoked paprika but still absolutely delicious. The waffle was okay. Very dense. And we love waffles. We couldn t finish them.
The food is great but the wait is very long so be prepared.
Amazing food and service. They didn t disappoint.
Several of us went to Lulus on Saturday 8/3 for brunch. There was a wait list for inside seating, instead we opted for outdoor seating and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was great. Friendly, respectful and the food was great. Enjoyed the Atlantic Omelet. Please note that some entrées are spicy, but overall it is well worth the price. Will go back again.
The best place we found for breakfast in Richmond
Fun ambience, amazing pineapple Malibu mimosa drink. Chicken and waffles were okay, but Id try something else next time. Great eggs and sausage gravy and potatoes.
The food was excellent!!!! House potatoes and the Atlantic omelet were delicious.
Today, I checked out Lulu s for brunch and loved every moment. My friend and I sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the friendly bartender. She made us feel welcome and crafted our drinks perfectly. I opted for a Brazilian mimosa, which I highly recommend if you enjoy a mimosa with a kick. For my meal, I had the Atlantic Omelette, which came with house potatoes, and I added an XL buttermilk biscuit. The food was incredible, with generous portions of lobster and jumbo lump crab in the omelette, all seasoned to perfection. I also enjoyed watching the kitchen in action, and the pleasant music enhanced the great atmosphere. If youre looking for delicious food, great drinks, a fantastic atmosphere, and friendly staff, you must check out Lulu s.
Havent been here in 5 years ... They have upped their game. DELICIOUS!!! And the Blood Orange Moonshine Mimosa had me a little Happy Food
Corn beef hash was excellent. Great music. Good energy. Would definitely go back. Great mimosas. Park on the street nearby. Lots of seating inside.
Always delighted here. Good food, good atmosphere.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time a guest comes from out of town and is looking for breakfast THIS is the place I always recommend, and they always come back so happy. Shrimp & Stone-Milled Pimento Grits and Red Velvet waffles was the first thing I had and it was AMAZING!! I also have had the French Toast with seasonally fruit, perfect texture. Lobster Biscuit & Atlantic Omelette are also go to. They do not skimp on ingredients, lots of crab meat. Mimosa are very flavorful 1 delicious I love the open space like many buildings in the city, the kitchen is open as well this is a nice look. Out server was very attendance and was very helpful in making choices. this place is a def 10/10. Parking is under the bridge and is very cheap and is free on some days and times Parking: Parking under the bridge very cheap and some day and times free
Quirky vibe. Fun place. Great service by Josh Mimosas were amazing. Food was phenomenal. I had the Chorizo omelet and it did NOT disappoint. Yum!! Food : 5/5
Delicious biscuit fare!!!! So good.
I was visiting my family in Virginia. My niece, who lives in Richmond, said that it had great reviews. So we thought we would try it. As we arrived, a big bridal party was leaving, and there was a good size crowd of people eating on the patio. All good signs. The food was good. I tried some of my nieces, and the chicken & red velvet waffle was really good. I had French toast, bacon, eggs, and home fries. It was really good also. The home fries had a slightly spicy side to them. I dont do spicy well. However, it wasnt enough to make me not enjoy it. I tried my other nieces cheese grits. So that was the only thing i didnt care for. It was very bland. I was surprised because everything else was good. My sister had a cheeseburger, and she said it was great. She thought it came with avocado slices, but she said it actually came with a delicious guacamole on it. Our sever was Excellent! I feel bad that I forgot her name so that I could have given her a shout-out. The atmosphere was nice! I would go back again the next time I visit there.
I had a Sammy Beagel and it tasty. Everything was nicely cooked and the potatoes were nicely sautéed
10/10. Highly recommend. The chicken and red velvet waffles were delicious. Oh and get the gravy. You re welcome.
Great place!!! I had Atlantic omelette. Food
The food was cold. Stone Cold. I didnt send it back though, since it took 45 minutes to get it. I had to track down the server too. I wont go back. Its not worth the expense.
Always nice atmosphere with excellent food. Servers on point and friendly. Try Lulus.
Great food, great service, inclusive atmosphere. Best Huevos Rancheros I ve had in a while!
The cocktails were banging! The crab omelet was delicious (I got spinach in it instead of asparagus fyi). The atmosphere is like a New Orleans vibe - rustic, historic, a little weird lol. Ill definitely be back whenever I visit my daughter in Richmond!
Great food and very friendly service. At the end of my trip to Richmond Lulus stands as the best place I ate at the whole week.
I live in Ruchmond, but my best friend lives in VA, and its become tradition that whenever she visits, we go to Lulus for brunch! The food is always on point, the service is excellent, the music good, when the weathers nice its perfect to sit at one of their covered tables outside. Couldnt recommend this place more.
My lobster biscuit was amazing!
Horrible service. Specially the host. Young people with no idea of service. Very bad attitude
Had Sunday Brunch here and everything was excellent. Service, food, and the lively atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Dog friendly patio area ans great food!
Amazing breakfast and service. The food was delicious. I wish I lived nearby so I could try everything on the menu. Definitely recommend!
Lovely spot. Seafood omlette and redvelvet french toast and sausage& 1 whiskey sour. Waitserver was very nice and we were served quickly for a Saturday AM . Music was blasting outside and in but I guess that atmosphere
Delicious!
Ok, so the waitress was as sweet as she could be. This place required reservations and honestly, that built up my expectations. Needless to say, I was not impressed. The tables on the floor are too close together and not conversation-friendly. The French toast was a bit over cooked and oily the bacon was wide and thin but decent in taste. The fried potatoes were ok but not rememberable. The strawberries on the side were tasteless and skimpy. I wasnt mad but sad about the flat taste. Now to be fair everyones taste buds are different and I am hard to please especially since my husband and I 99.99% of the time cook at home and Im always ready on the rare occasion I eat out to be impressed. Hats off to the popularity of the place.
If their bloody Marys werent gross Id would have given it 4 stars. The food isnt OMG great but it is good. Service is fantastic and so is the atmosphere. The bar is next to the door and its extremely busy, so when its cold outside and youre at the bar, well youre cold too.
Enjoyed great drinks, delicious food, and superb service. Make LuLus your brunch destination
The chorizo omelette was delicious!!
The highlight of our visit to Richmond on a gloomy and dreary weekend. Great service, and I loved the food! The house potatoes were exactly the amount of spice I wanted (Im Indian, and we spice our potatoes the same way back home, it might be a little too spicy for other nationalities), and they were well balanced by a fluffy and soft croissant egg sandwich. The Lulus Benedict was also super delicious, with crunchy seasoned asparagus on the side. Great coffee as well. Thanks to Kayla for checking in with us regularly to make sure we had everything.
The food is just ok for lulu and they have a limited menu for us non pork eaters. Its not worth the wait. Dietary restrictions: They have a majority of pork products and the food is just ok. Not worth the hype
The food was delicious. Warning the potatoes are very spicy. The mimosas are absolutely amazing. Server was friendly. The decor is eclectic and slightly creepy. You just have to see it and judge for yourself. The food is worth braving the dolls.
Very Good
We had Julie as our Server and she was Attentive, Professional and Polite. The Seafood Omelette, Red velvet waffles, House potatoes and chicken was cooked to perfection. Our food arrived to our table in a reasonably amount of time, didn t wait long. The atmosphere was friendly with soft music playing in the background. It is a go to place for a nice and relaxing Brunch.
I have been here before with my best friend so I decided to take my husband for our anniversary trip. He agreed this was the best food spot we went to. It was our lunch and the food is amazing Parking: Accross the street. We went on a Friday and it wasnt crowded. However I went on a Saturday the first time and after we arrived it got crowded to park.
First time guests. Loved that atmosphere and food was excellent flavors and presentation was spot on. Prices are reasonable for quality and imagination of dishes. The biscuits are monumental.
Had such a lovely brunch there with friends the red velvet waffle was to die for.
Yet another fantastic Richmond eatery. Super-nice employees who went out of their way to inform me of the artist whose works adorn their walls. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic.
Corned beef hash was awesome
Had brunch outside so I didn t get to see the inside at all but the food was delicious and the staff were all insanely nice. Very dog friendly location.
So delicious! Our server was too charming- however he was inattentive/ distracted- we let him know we had to leave and found him him hanging out sitting with other guests instead of taking care of our bill - took about 20 minutes to be able to leave- actually took our bills to the counter to get checked out
Great food, atmosphere and service!
I was in Richmond for a medical visit, wanted breakfast, Googled for a place nearby. Boom Lulus! The food was outstanding! And service was good. Only complaint was that Google map had me go down the ally. Check Lulus website for parking info if you are like me from out of town and dont know where you are. Bottom line, worth the effort!!
Make sure you eat something before you get there to get eat their food. You will be waiting for a hour plus for some food.
The best waffles Ive had in my life... Light fluffy and flavorful by themselves. The cream cheese spread from the red velvet waffles was the perfect touch to these waffles
We went here for brunch on Sunday and while busy was so good! I just got a couple of sides as a meal(fried chicken, scrambled eggs, and toast) and my husband got the chicken and biscuits. Chicken was great eggs were great, and my husband said the biscuits were some of the best hes ever had they soaked up the gravy perfectly. Definitely would recommend and go back next time we are in Richmond.
Kayla is a wonderful waitress. The food and atmosphere are lovely.
Had a very good time. Theres almost no wait time. We just walked in straight. The server was very friendly and drinks were very good. My friends and i got mule, irish coffee, mimosa and bloody mary. Me personallh is not a bloody mary fan but my friend liked it. And i liked mine too
Very noisy. Not warm. Why ruin an eggs Benedict with country ham. Way too salty.
Had a reservation but got seated 20 minutes late. The food is great, atmosphere is chill, but the playlist makes you dance while eating! Definitely worth the wait!
Awesome first impression great bar service 100%
I was introduced by my daughter I ve been back three times and actually going today lol with someone else I went there about a week ago and a girl fell through a hole in the floor I hope she s OK staff was very compassionate I m gonna give them that the food is amazing the price is OK I had the croissant bacon eggs and cheese I also had the bacon French toast and a side of eggs very filling
OMG! The bloody Marys are on point! The food is epic! Just try it. You wont be disappointed. Just make reservations on weekends or be prepared to sit outside (which was not a bad thing on March 4 2024 according to the awesome weather). Thanks for the great experience!
5 of us went for brunch. Everyone ordered something different and no one left a bite of food on their plate. Even the bloody marys were delicious
Avoid!!! Great presentation but Overrated! Worst Brunch margaritas in town ! French toast was great, bacon was crispy/burnt potatoes was over spicy with blk pepper. NoT for kids. wayy too spicy! Only half a Waffle per order, Under cooked Grits were lukewarm and uncooked asparagus didnt make it any better. The bartender was upset cause I didnt like my drink and became very unprofessional and decided to voice her enthusiasm about my horrible margarita! Arron was great he tried to help, just wish we could choose our level of spice. Will never be back! Friends and family AVOID!!!
Lovely food
Pretty decent food. The bar is where I always sit, and always get exceptional service.
Wow! The food here was amazing, definitely coming back.
food was bomb. music was fire, like they playin that stuff for the ppl yfm? mimosa was on point. definitely coming back to complete the rest of the menu. Rasheeda was super nice and on top of it despite how busy it was when we ate. solid spot, you can t lose with this one no cap
Nice place the service was great the mimosa was great but the food could have been better I got shrimp n grits was not season well
yup
Food was delicious ! I went on a Sunday afternoon for brunch so it was busy and 45 min wait. I would recommend making a reservation. Also ask for inside sitting. While they have heaters for their outdoor seating still chilly in the winter
Idk what happened first time I went the omlette was delicious this time it was a no. Wont be returning. Food is too expensive to not be good
This was recommended..so we tried it...red velvet waffle w/fried chicken, scrambled eggs n potatoes....a DELIGHT!!! Josh was FABULOUS...will go back!!!
Food was Great! Service was Impeccable! Kareem was our server.
Food was amazing. Service was great as well. We were visiting from out-of town and took recommendations to make a reservation ahead of time and it was a good idea. We ended up eating here more than once and regret nothing. The proteins chicken from the red velvet waffles and chicken and the beef from the corned beef hash were chefs kiss. We will visit again when were back in Richmond.
This food was simply amazing. Everything came out nice and hot and our waiter was the bomb Kareem your the best Man
My fav spot for brunch so far
Food.. Amazing Servic even more amazing 20% charge for take out???? Especially when your food takes a minute to come out Ive never ever heard of that and this business better be damn sure their employees know why when questioned it. Because I asked a couple and they couldnt tell me why.
Great brunch ! Good service Food
Wonderful location that is easy to find. Friendly wait staff promptly delivered our delicious food. Busy place requiring a reservation during peak hours. They send a couple of email confirmations to help ensure you don t miss out on a good time.
Overall the food and atmosphere were great. I had the chicken and red waffles. The potatoes that were served to me were a little cold, and the main entree could have been a little hotter. Overall 4.2 out of 5
This is a great little restaurant for breakfast in the Shockoe area of Richmond they I plan to return and visit more of!!!
My wife and I received food poisoning from here.
I love this place. The staff have always been amazing. I will definitely be back.
Yummy food and great service from the bartender.
We where looking for a brunch spot to go in Richmond, and stumbled across Lulus. Food was simply amazing and never disappoints!. The service was outstanding you will need to make an appointment to secure your table !
I m giving this a 5 because of the service. They should always check the temp of food. Honestly I appreciate the service. Our waitress/server was Julia I believe that s how you would spell her name she was kind enough to ensure we were served well. There was a guy who also brought our food out and made sure to correct my food. I had cold potatoes, an undercooked runny egg ( I wanted it cooked hard) and my grits were stiff. I returned the grits they weren t edible and not to my liking. They refunded that. I told them to please reheat my food they made a whole new plate and I appreciate that VERY much. I never usually rate low on food. Prices were good especially for the mimosas. I d say just ensure the food is not cold and question would you eat it before serving it. Other than that thank you for correcting my order and being so kind! I m still coming to this place for my brunch dates because they have amazing red velvet waffles and the potatoes are seasoned so well.
Sat at the bar. The bartender was very professional and attentive with a constantly full bar. Loved, loved the corn beef hash. The porched eggs were done perfectly and unlike most places there were large chunks of corn beef. It tasted great. Husband has the lobster and crab omelet and it was delicious. Excellent dinning experience!
It s a good idea to have a reservation for Lulu s! Our bartenders provided excellent service and menu recommendations. I recommend trying the huevos rancheros or the corned beef hash!
Nice place, Has potential, really needs a good face left and a good cleaning.
Fantastic experience with amazing corned beef hash. I don t think I ve ever had a breakfast this amazing. Dietary restrictions: Helpful with my wife s tree nut allergy
Eggs Benedict with Virginia cured ham awesome!!!
Loved brunch at Lulus. Be prepared, super popular and pretty noisy. Great cocktail menu, terrific brunch choices. Hollandaise was super tasty! Good vegie choices. They have a unique tasty biscuit and I would use it for all the benedicts. Wonderful service.
The music was perfect, the mimosas on point, and the food was absolutely delicious! However none of that compared to the top notch service we received from Josh! If you go, ask for him, order a pitcher of the tropical mimosas, and ask him to show you the trick with the cup lid. The wait was long but the food was good.
I wasn t pleased with the options or the food taste. $60 for food we didn t eat.
The french toast & Atlantic omelette were really good. We ll definitely be eating here again.
The asparagus tasted unseasoned yet were grilled to the black-maximum! The shrimp was the only thing remarkable and they hit the spot with culinary marksmanship!!! The poached eggs were blah-- I know I have had a tangy hollandaise sauce that made poached eggs taste great!! SHAMEFULLY such tang was absent. A touch of vinegar in the cooking process would have done wonders! This dish looks far better than it tastes. The waitress was very attentive and helpful.
Lulus was fantastic.. we went on the morning of the marathon so I expected it to be crowded and it was.. but they were super efficient, they quoted us 30 minutes to sit outside in the heated porch and it only took us 10 minutes to get to our very warm table.. the food was excellent (we had the chicken & biscuits w sausage gravy...and the crab and goat cheese omelet...bith were spectacular) as were the drinks, both adult and otherwise (great bloodys and awesome coffee).. and the service was Top Notch as well.. really worth a visit
Awesome brunch
What a great brunch hangout, 1st time having mimosas and they where legit!!!
The Atlantic Omelette was very good! The seafood was fresh! I would have liked a little more crab and lobster in the omelette; however it was filling along with the potatoes. The girl at the bar was great!
Crab & Lobster omelette is TOP TIER!
We have heard so much from our sons about LULUs for the past year so we decided to make a reservation on for a Wednesday morning. Upon arrival in the area we did get lost because if your not looking on hard, its difficult to find the building only due to it being a Market place area downtown and the restaurant is not on the corner of the block so you can visibly see it. But we called the restaurant and the host kindly guided us to the establishment. Upon arrival we were greeted very friendly by the host and were seated. Right away I loved the ambience and decor not to mention the nice rb tunes they had playing. Our waiter Aaron promptly greeted us friendly and professional to take our drink orders. He also informed us of any specials on the menu for that day. We also had a couple of questions about the menu. We both decided on the shrimp and Grits with a side of potatoes. Food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time, which I loved. No lets talk about loving something else, the food was amazing. The Grits had just the right amount of cheese with peppers and onions. Although Im not an onion and peppers on my Grits type of chick. I found the combination to be quite delightful. Also had my eggs over medium. What I loved about the eggs is they were not heavily salted. Which is a plus because everyones taste buds is not for the salt. Anyway, the potatoes were fabulous but I didnt know that they had a kick of pepper to it. Couldnt finish it all because of this. Ya girl is not with alot of spice. But I still would give it a 10. Aaron checked on us and made sure everything was to our liking. The bill came and was reasonably priced. All in all. We absolutely loved LuLUs and will be back again to try their famous red velvet waffles and chicken. A++
Best breakfast in town
Great place for Sunday Brunch
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at LuLus. I ordered the Atlantic Omelette and it came with house potatoes. I also ordered half of the red velvet waffle Kareem told me they are known for. And a sweet tea to drink. Before I could even order the food though, I asked Kareem about the grits. Im leery about pimento. He offered to bring a sample and it was a decent portion size for just a sample. The omelette was recommended so I went with it. The portion sizes for all of the food was delish. The sweet tea was perfect-no bitter aftertaste. The only reason the food rating is not five stars is because the omelette and sauce didnt seem to be seasoned. I tasted all of the components it should have but there wasnt anything bringing it together-I ate some then and later. But. The potatoes? Dont get them if you arent a fan of spicy. However, so good. The waffle? I didnt even use the syrup. The cream cheese, strawberry sauce, and whipped cream along with the strawberries was enough for me. I definitely recommend brunch. I would go again or go and see what the regular menu is about based off of this experience. And Kareem. One of the best servers I have EVER had.
Found a lot of hair in my food. Huge turn off
Food is amazing! Benedict is to DIE for! Sit outside if you want to chat though, its so loud inside. Wheelchair accessibility: Outside area
Great food Awesome service and atmosphere Food
Eggs Benedict were okay. Grits were not good. Service was great and quick but music was so loud on a weekday morning for no reason.
