Laid-back pick for local American eats, craft beers & alcoholic shakes in an 1899 firehouse.
Great atmosphere, very nice staff. The Grilled Cheese Burger was incredible!
If my waistline would allow it, I would eat their burgers every week! We went on a Thursday evening and was quickly sat and our orders taken. It took no time for drinks and appetizers to come out. We ordered mozzarella sticks and buffalo cauliflower which were both tasty! I ordered a classic cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, the works and chili. The burger was yummy but let me tell you the chili was a delicious add on! I enjoyed the sweet potato tots on the side and ate a few of my daughters regular fries and they too were good. Everyone enjoyed they meal and we're already planning our next visit!
Meals here are good, good!!! If you don't have too much time to read the main takeaway, definitely come here to eat! It was so hard to pick what to eat because their selections were amazing and everything leaving their kitchen looked good. We went with the Buffalo chiken dip as the appetizer French kiss 😘 yumm. Kids' meals were a good portion, and the kids cleaned their plates. I got the spicy Wasabi with a side of chili 😋 and the star of the tabel was the beerfest burger. If you can't decide what to get, the beerfest was a win of a meal for us. The server was great! He consistently checked on us, and seeing coworkers supporting each other is always nice to see. The atmosphere is on point. There are so many unique decorations our family enjoyed seeing while waiting for our meal.
I can’t give Station 2 enough stars. Ethan F was our server and he did a wonderful job providing recommendations and showed patience as we took our time to cruise the menu and decided. The food was delicious and they delivered a true burger. The mozzarella sticks served with home made sauce, Philly Cheesesteak which was finger licking, Engine 2 Fire that was so good it was gone in minutes, and a classic cheeseburger that it was simply Amazing or so my pickie 10 year old said. Great Atmosphere for children. And there was indoor and outdoor seating. And don’t forget to check out the local artist artwork on the walls.
While having a great morning with great news from the oncologist we celebrated by going to get lunch somewhere we’ve never been and this was the best burger place we have had HANDS down! The nachos were amazing! The burgers cooked to perfection. Thank you
A Delightful Dining Experience My recent visit to this charming restaurant was outstanding. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and remembered our order modifications perfectly. The casual yet inviting atmosphere, coupled with reasonable prices, made for an enjoyable meal. The falafel was a standout—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. With convenient free parking nearby, this place offers excellent service, delicious food, and a charming setting. Highly recommended!
Josh in the red Hawaiian shirt was our server! He was attentive and professional! The food was great — larger one is the $15 black & bleu beef burger with French fries and smaller one is the $6 smash burger sub turkey patty with chow bella set up side is the homemade chips . For appetizer we got the bacon wrapped jalapeños with cheese in middle.
Went here with my family and it was a great laid back vibe. The staff was really nice and attentive. We walked in and had no wait. The food came out fast and was really good. I would try the sweet potato tots I’ve never had anything like that and they were really good. Would for sure go again!
As you walk up you can see the unique architecture of the second firehouse ever built in Richmond. You pass the front windows where the trucks used to came out. The burgers were outstanding, exactly how I would prepare them. This is number one for us thus far in Richmond. Shoutout to Shane who was perfect.
Went for lunch and were promptly seated and the restaurant wasnt busy. We waited for 15 minutes for service and were never greeted (staff were socializing at the bar). After seeing a server wipe his nose and beard with his hands we left.
Great place for casual dining. Historic location in an old firehouse.
I ve picked up food from here a few times and I always find myself watching the servers and bartenders socialize with each other and customers casually while I stand at the host stand for 10 minutes to pick up food that ends up already being ready. I m the type that doesn t like to interrupt but when I stand there long enough to watch you and identify that you work there, watch you go behind the bar to laugh with the bartender and get a drink he made for you, drink some of it, hug a customer and chat it up with ANOTHER coworker i have to intervene, it s ridiculous, this is all happening while they actively walk around you while you stand at the pick up stand beside the bar where they can all see you. There s a lot of 20-30 year olds that work there and seem to use work as hang out time, and this coming from someone in their 20 s that used to work in the restaurant industry. When I start feeling like I could provide better service myself and did even in my teenage years then I start getting disappointed and annoyed. I went recently for a friend s birthday and waited about an hour for our food after ordering. Mind you, there were 8 of us which is a big group but maybe like 3/4 other tables in use while we were there so I can t imagine how slow it is when it s actually full. Food is decent, a bit overpriced, servers are nice but slow and seems like customer service all around is lacking.
Great place to grab a burger
Had a buger...was probably one of the vrst burgers Ive had. The waitress recommended our drinks and she was spot on.
The food and service was excellent. Will definitely go back next time I am in town!
It s more than just a bar or restaurant. The description doesn t do it justice. Station 2 is the heartbeat of Shockhoe. The bartenders and servers here aren t just passing time; they truly care about what they do and the people they serve. From their weekly game night to seasonal taps and menu items, there s always something to do and something new to enjoy. You can feel the warmth and dedication in every interaction, whether you re a regular or just passing through. This spot is a reminder that good food and drinks are only part of the experience what keeps you coming back are the people who put their hearts into making it special.
Mannn i m at work you see I come in there fully dressed in Security uniform that means I m at work. Basically I just came to pick my food up so I get my food no silverware no ketchup. Nothing for the burger. Burger was so dry and for that money I spent I was so not satisfied the devil eggs was not real deviled eggs is very cold with process topping so cold no no no wish I could speak with someone
what a great find, when youre in a strange town it can be hard finding a place to eat. This place was a great find its located in an old fire station. The server was great, and the atmosphere was great as well. I had a Hawaiian chicken sandwich, and it was amazing! Definitely would recommend.
Wonderful burgers, fries, and shakes. Lots of attentive staff around to offer suggestions and make sure you have a great experience with their menu.
Burger of the Gods. The Old Fashioneds were also amazing. That would explain the issues Im having with auto correct. Totally recommend. Everything was great.
Our first time here and it was fantastic. Creative food choices and great selection of craft beer and cocktails. Burgers were perfect, the best Ive had in awhile and the service was top notch. Definitely going back.
The absolute best jalapeño poppers that I have ever had!! Also, I highly recommend the Elvis and ballpark burgers! The peanut butter, banana, and bacon complement the burger extremely well!! I can t recommend this place enough!!
New new mexico burger is my favorite, this is probably my favorite place on this side of the city.
Awesome burgers!
Wonderful burgers that I can take even the pickiest people to (and do, frequently). Great service and a wonderful aesthetic in the fire station. They also have trivia nights that are super fun.
Trivias on Wednesdays are always a great time! Servers and bartenders are personable and attentive, and the food is good. Nothing super special but it is consistently good.
The food was excellent and service attentive! Best restaurant burger! And the chips! New favorite spot visiting RVA
Great burger place, very relaxed for a business lunch during the week. Solid food, awesome service. Overall, one of the gems of downtown Richmond.
Food was good. Hamburgers, fries and onion straws.
Ask for Ethan when eating here! Great burgers!
There were 11 in our group. We all loved the food. It was a fun atmosphere and the service was excellent.
Food was good. We waited forever for out server despite eating after the lunch rush. Kid-friendliness: Staff were phenomenal with our kids.
Food was delicious. We had chili, bacon cheese burger, mozzarella cheese sticks. The server was nice and friendly. She never let our drinks go empty and would ask if we needed anything. Will stop in for food again next time we are in Richmond.
Very fun interior with casual and friendly servers! Service was a little slow but perhaps they are understaffed. My burger and fries were great, I loved the house made aioli! My milkshake was really great too. All for a reasonable price!
Thats a damn good burger
Always a favorite. Great happy hour with local Virginia brews and they have a great boozy shake called the monkeys palm. Highly recommend!! Their house chips are my absolute favorite side
Great waiter, fast service, and food was delicious. Being unfamiliar with neighborhood made parking tricky, but I guess there is a free lot someplace. Prices were very reasonable also.
Food was great! Service was good, but took a little longer for the waiters to come back to our table a few times. (It was the start of their busier lunch hours, so only knocked one star) It is a firehouse, so I know the building is not built for acoustics, but just so loud even with the dining area half full. (Maybe some cloth padding to be put on some of the walls to absorb some of the sound would help?) All in all, a delicious place and would definitely come back again! Had their Grilled Cheese Burger!
Last two times I visited (both times were last week) the food was luke warm upon arrival. That usually means it sat in the kitchen for a while before it was delivered. Tasted great but temp was not good. Chili was almost cool to the touch, fries cooled off, burger only slightly warm. This was disappointing since Sta 2 has been one of my favorites. My last two visits I took first timers...I dont think either will return. Ill be back to give it one more try. Atmosphere is outstanding. Im a firefighter and this place feels like home. Parking: This is a city. Park on the street and walk a block or two. No big deal
delicious food and amazing milkshakes
Vegetarian options: There are a few things to choose from and you can replace the patty on any burger with a black bean patty or pay more for a beyond burger patty. Food
Burgers at this place are awesome and the beer too
Vegetarian options: Any burger can be made vegetarian with black bean burger, veggie burger, beyond beef burger and a chicken option for non beef eaters Parking: Parking spots behind the building for guest as long with street parking
I really enjoyed the station burger. My wife said the buffalo chicken dip was delicious. Service was a bit slow considering they were not busy but great overall.
Wonderful atmosphere in this establishment In Richmond va the good guys of shockoe bottom Food
Burgers are good.
Great little place to eat.
me and my partner first time visting richmond, station 2 was the first place that caught our eye. The aesthetic of the restaurant was creative. The atmosphere was most definitely a vibe and the food was good . would highly recommend this place. and we will be back :)
Tasty beer in a fun environment.
The food here was excellent. The jumbo mozzarella sticks are indeed jumbo. The homemade potato chips are delicious. The Hawaiian Sun chicken burger was a delight. Our server, Ethan, was responsive, helpful, and happy.
I ordered the ballpark, an order of wings, and the deviled eggs. The waitress was very unenthusiastic. The wings were very soggy. The burger looked very unappealing, and Im easy tonplease with a bruger. All in all, definitely nit worth your time and money.
Great time!
We walked several blocks from our hotel to eat here, and it was so worth it. The place was an actual firehouse with history our waiter was glad to share. We split the beer cheese burger, and it was so good. I had a cold local beer on tap (recommended by the waiter after I told him what I like) it was spot-on. I highly recommend trying them if you are in Richmond.
By far the best burger Ive ever had to date! The service was great, and the atmosphere was awesome!
Food was really good!!! Cool atmosphere for their Trivia night. Will be back soon!
Very average, not terrible. Maybe a bit over priced but it was okay, spiked milkshake was as good as you can get anywhere I kinda feel the same about the burger, I think that when you put alcohol in a milkshake, it better be good and basically it was milk with not a lot of alcohol flavor. Probably wouldn t visit again though so do with that what you will! Ps : outside waitress was really nice and the sweet potato tots were fantastic, fried really well. Enjoy!
Omg I am so happy our GPS lead us to this little hidden gem. The atmosphere, the staff and the food are all amazing... Definitely coming back
Couldn t recommend more! Thanks to Josh for the wonderful hospitality.
Josh was amazing! The mango habenero burger was hot, made correctly, delicious, and best of all, vegetarian-friendly since I ordered it with a black bean patty! 10/10 recommend
Great spot for burgers, fries and shakes! The service was great. Kid friendly and laid back vibe.
Food is always good and severs are usually great. One girl wearing tye dye shorts and a purple bandana behind the bar was seemingly pretending like I didn t exist unless I stared directly at her. This time I had ordered food to go, when my food was ready she slid it over to me half heartedly and didn t make eye contact. I said thanks so much she didn t look at me and walked away. Turns out I was still waiting on a milk shake and I let a nice gentleman in khaki shorts know and he told me it would be just another minute. Tye dye shorts brings my drink out and I say again thanks have a great day she again doesn t look at me and mumbles. Okay? Never had an experience like this here but just kind of weird? All the other staff are always wonderful.
Great food and service
I got a Classic 2 beyond burger and my husband got the BBQ barista chicken sandwich. They were both great. I also love the Thanksgiving turkey burger in November. Definitely get the sweet tots. The fries are great but the sweet tots are something else!
Our very 1st visit and it was All Wonderful. Thanks Team
Neat place to grab a good hamburger in a restored fire station. 4 ate for just under $50.
Always amazing service and amazing staff! We came tonight with our 3 children and everything was on point. Great menu and ambience. Well definitely be coming here for years to come!
Depending on who is working will depend on food quality as well as service. Its like night and day with certain group of staff. Ive had excellent service and food Ive had excellent food bad service and Ive had my order not met and burnt tots multiple times while having to flag down staff after standing and waiting politely to be acknowledged. The space itself is great for groups they have alot of events and games to play while in the restruant and a patio although they are strict about not allowing any dogs on it it is there.
The smash burger is a definite money saver. Got to try the chili
The service here is fantastic. Very friendly, prompt, and conscientious. The burgers are creatively topped, but the meat itself is not great. I would advise getting the chicken instead of the beef. The bean burger is pretty good, but it doesnt make sense to pay full price for Burger made from beans. The sweet potato tots are great. Dietary restrictions: They have vegan and gluten free bread options.
We celebrated a 21st birthday at Station 2 last night. The food was great and the service excellent! Our waitress was quick and had a great sense of humor which was necessary as we had a couple of very active kids with us. The outdoor patio is lovely. I highly recommend this place!
Great food, amazing shakes and alcoholic shakes! Lots of outdoor seating. Tho seating faces a busy road so its LOUD can be a bit much for sensory issues. We like going alot
I would give this place more stars if I could - not because of the food (which is honestly quiet decent) but because of the amazing employees. The hostess (I am sorry that I never got your name) greeted us with charm, but despite my 2.5 year old toddler being a little bit, well, toddler like, she smiled and acknowledged him in such a sweet manner. But the main reason I would give this place 100 stars if I could is the fact that our server, Shane, went completely above, above, ABOVE and beyond for us. As I said earlier, my party included a toddler (cue the eye roll ), and being a toddler mom, I was not only distracted BY my toddler, but every time Shane came by to get our orders I was never prepared because I was a bit out of sorts. My son kept standing on the seats, I was trying to get his TV show on my phone and I was trying to play defense with my son and the salt shaker - which I am sure is extremely frustrating for any server to deal with. That being said, he kept a smile on his face and he remained patient with me and my entire party. Shane was great at checking in with our table, and every time he came by to ask how is everything? Or can I get anything else for you guys? my son would adorably turn around and say Oreo! This happened a few times and we all got a kick out of it. Shane politely and sweetly responded back to him along the lines of I wish but we don t carry Oreos which I thought was extremely charming that he was chatting with my toddler as if he was an adult. Now after all that, the best part happened, Shane appeared with a small plate with 3 Oreos on it and I almost cried! My son was so happy and my heart just melted at how amazing Shane was to even do something like that when he didn t have to in the least. Shane went to a store next door and got my son Oreos. Because of that sweet gesture, I will always and forever recommend people to go here. The food is good but the people are even better. Shane, thank you for putting a smile on my and my son s face. You don t understand how alienating it can feel to be parents out at a restaurant, and because of your extremely sweet gesture, you made our experience spectacular. Please know you created a lasting memory for my whole family.
Love the vibes, local beers, super friendly & helpful staff (thanks Shane!), and I LOVE the housemade veggie burger. Always my go-to for late night burger & beer cheese cravings. Def planning on coming back for a Tuesday Eve game night Vegetarian options: You can sub a house-made veggie burger (SO good) or beyond burger for any menu burger (for a fee), and they have a handful of vegetarian appetizers/sides. Staff is accommodating and never forgets the modifications i ask for to make things veggie-friendly! Pretty good options compared to other burger bars around here.
Looking for a lunch driving down 95 and chose this by chance. Wonderful atmosphere, good food, outrageously good milkshake. Park behind building.
I dined in and had take out before. Love Love this place. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Definitely reccommend
We had a great time celebrating my nieces birthday. They were able to seat our large party at the last minute. The waitress was on top of everything we needed. The atmosphere was very laid back and inviting. Great for people of all ages.
We have been here several times now and absolutely loved everything we have gotten. Love the vegetarian options!
It s St. Patrick s Day weekend, Richmond has so many dope festivities going on with Irish festival, Shamrock the block and Galexy-con. So Chris and I went to find somewhere new to catch a good dinner and vibe. When we got there, I was happy to sit at the corner where the outside meets the inside. It was such a vibe. We waited a lot longer than I wanted but it was super busy and a busy weekend. Whatever attitude I was forming immediately changed to reasoning once I bit into that juicy chili cheeseburger .with the cheese .and the gd bacon on it ..with the homemade chips. Oh honey next time I ll be earlier. My fault.
went here when visiting richmond, and the food was amazing! our server, josh, was extremely friendly- he was great!! would recommend coming here :)
We were driving through Richmond and stopped here because the boys were feeling burgers. I loved that I could get mushrooms, Swiss, arugula, and garlic aioli. And choice of sides - our table had sweet potato tots, side salad, fries, and chips. Ordered our burgers medium, and to my delight, they actually came out bright pink! Played Nintendo, ring toss, and Cards Against Humanity while waiting. It was too cold to sit outside, but they have a great outdoor space. We ordered milkshakes to go. If we didnt have another 2 hours ahead of us on the road, Id have gotten a flight of beer - great selection on tap. My only complaint: skinny straws. Thick milkshakes are not as enjoyable through a skinny straw. And theirs are skinnier than a regular straw, when for a milkshake, you want a fat boba straw.
If you like a well grilled burger, hot off the grill, then this is your place. Look no further, the atmosphere is great too.
The burgers are the reason for going. Great firehouse atmosphere and really good service. I highly recommend this place.
Our first visit to Station 2 was a pleasure. This is a unique casual dining experience in a former firehouse setting. The hostess set the tone with a warm welcome, and our helpful server, Ethan, was both attentive and friendly. A highlight was the delicious burgers cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Looking forward to return to Station 2 and try the appetizers and shakes.
Patio is not dog friendly even though it pops up as dog friendly.
Went there for the first time & it was great! The food was really good, didnt have to wait long for it to come, it was prepared as requested. The service was great! The prices are more than reasonable! Would def recommend!
Black bean burger patty is solid, and I have a lot of opinions about black bean burgers. Vegetarian options: Black bean burger is very good and restaurant is the type that seems like the kitchen could be accommodating.
Great food, warm place and very attentive staff.
Great service
Great service after 11pm
Excellent Chilli
Well worth the stop for anyone traveling on I-95. Great food, drinks and service with easy access from the interstate. Wish we had a place just like this in my area!
Great burgers! Fantastic staff!!!
Food is amazing, beer is great, good service. Will recommend!
We go here for trivia nights on wednesday and we always have a fun time. Ive gotten the george Orwell twice and its huge. I ordered it medium the first time hoping it was a little pink and there was none. So the second time I ordered MR and it was the same way. The egg was overcooked both times as well. I know its busy on trivia nights so maybe Ill aim for one of the other burgers.
Food was Terrific & Good Service too
Great neighborhood bar and restaurant. Friendly service and good prices, everything was warm, filling and tasty.
Great service and ambience! Food came out fast and our sever, Shane, was super personable. Next time we come to Richmond, we will definitely be eating here again.
Its in an old fire station very cool concept. The burgers were cooked exactly as asked and our waitress was great. Would try again if back in the area. Food
Love station 2, burgers are bomb, drinks are cold, people are cool
Thank you to our server Taylor especially, who was so kind and professional the whole time she was serving us, even when our table had an accident and spilled a glass of sweet tea. Also, the food was delicious as always (love the sweet potato tots)
The apps here are amazing! Fried pickles, beer cheese pretzel bites and fried cauliflower were all so good. They re super flexible on customizations and they have a great smaller option for burgers if you don t want a huge one! Service was extremely quick!
Great burgers and atmosphere! The staff were extremely friendly and you cant find a better burger and fries. This is gonna be my go-to in Richmond from now on.
Placed a pick up order through door dash, was quoted 20 mins, I lived 12 minutes away so I set off 10 minutes after, so I would get it once it was hot and fresh. Got home to eat and noticed that my Beerfest burger had a sad amount of cheese on and very soggy onion straws (more like onion noodles) which shouldn t be possible, food doesn t go soggy that quick. You can see in the photos I attached I am cutting cheese up to put on my burger. So thank you for charging me $14 for a soggy burger I had to fix. Then I noticed my partners burger, the Hawaiian Sun, had rotten lettuce on it. Really happy I caught that before he ate it. We also ordered a moon pie that was supposed to come with ice cream and whip cream, it came with neither. Really sad experience with a place that s been hyped up so much. Not returning and will be telling everyone of my experience anytime station 2 is mentioned.
Horrible! My family and I decided to try this restaurant. It wasn t crowded with only 2 other tables with patrons. After being seated our server brought us water and no menu. We asked for one and were given only 2 for 3 of us. The server told us that was all he could find?! So we decided what we wanted however our server completely ignored us as well as the other servers who were just walking around. After waiting for over 40 minutes we walked out. Even then no one appeared to notice or care.
Came here a couple times, the food is good and filling, and the service was good too! They have a fun, well-run trivia night as well which is great! I ll definitely be back at some point!
I had never been. Was recommended to have the population firehouse burger, with fried onions, jalapeños and pepperoncini... VERY delightful! Burger was cooked PERFECTLY medium! I will eat there again when Im downtown
Trivia Night with John on Wednesday nights is off the hook. The burgers are some of the best in Richmond. Parking in this area is a little hard but it is worth the effort. I had the Hawaiian grilled chicken burger. Recommended dishes
I would never recommend this place to anyone. The waitress treated me horribly after knowing I had a service dog with me. She insisted in asking about my disability and told me several times she didn t believe me, provoking an anxiety attack. I have a service dog and they were being rude about me having it there. Horrible. My friends and I left immediately. Rude. We were also a bunch of Latinos, so I don t know if this is normal for white people to be harassed over their disabilities.
Service was great, food was really good too for just burgers. My only complaint was the price my girl and i ate there for $70. I had a burger she had the chicken equivalent, she drank a shake i had a delicious cider, and we ate some phenomenal housemade pickle spears. Again very good slightly loud atmosphere but hardly worth the price of cheesecake factory
This was a nice happy accident (we were lost) and we came in for lunch and it was awesome.
The food and service here were excellent.
This restaurant has conventional American-fare, with a wonderful staff, and is open pretty late, which is a nice perk! But I will unfortunately have to say, Ive eaten there on two separate occasions, and the food is a bit lacking. Ive had a few things: jalapeno poppers, wet fries, a chocolate peanut butter milkshake, the fried moon pie, and a few of their burgers. Of that list, the only thing I could truly recommend would be the fried moon pie-- its genuinely VERY tasty. Everything else mentioned (excluding the fries, which werent bad) was actually kind of disappointing. Slightly undercooked and bland burgers, the jalapeno poppers were somehow also bland despite being large peppers covered in bacon (it comes with a sauce that isnt bad, but the poppers themselves are a little underwhelming, almost watery), and you could easily get a better milkshake from Cook Out. A big issue here as well is the price. The jalapeno poppers and milkshake I got costed about $17 before tip, which is kind of a lot for five poppers and a relatively small milkshake. Ultimately, its a nice bar vibe with nice staff, but the food is incredibly subpar and overpriced.
Went between lunch and dinner rush. Food was great. Place was empty which was also a bonus!
Freaking fabulous!!!!!!
Friendly service, loved it and the milkshakes.
Came late at night after graduation. Amazing service and food. The deviled eggs were the best I ve ever had and the cherry coke milkshake was amazing. Would give the atmosphere more stars if I could - the firehouse vibe is really cool.
I have been to this place four times in the last 8 months and the service was great and always with a smile. Every time I was there I was treated just like family.
Cool restaurant in an old firehouse and the burgers are great! Awesome variety of new things to try and service was very good and friendly.
Great burger, excellent space. Very nice staff.
Traveling through, stopped at Station 2 for lunch on a Monday. Cool place with unique burgers / drinks. Very nice servers. Not too loud, very clean. Totally recommend
Great burgers and great beer.
Great place had fun playing the ring games
My niece had her violin recital, and afterward, we decided to get something to eat. A party of nine and we decided to dined alfreso, It was good to fellowship with family again. This was my second time eating out since Covid. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the weather was just right with a subtle breeze. The staff was friendly and the service was great. Vegetarian options: Plant based burgers were available. Parking: Five or 6 parking spots that lead you to the restaurant between two buildings.
Appetizers and shakes are great! Service was great, too. Its loud (a firestation with tall ceilings, to be expected) but bearable. The burgers? Lacklustre. Perhaps it was an off evening, but they were only okay. There are better places in town if you want an amazing burger.
After an awful experience right down the street at oak and apple this was a breath of fresh air. Clean and super friendly atmosphere and eveb better service from the time we walked in until we left.
The burgers are unique here, but seemed a bit dry. The adult milkshakes were really tasty and well worth the price.
Price was good. Food was good. Nice place to go to in the city if you want a burger that is not crazy expensive.
The sweet potato tots!!!!
Great place! All the staff were friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The burgers were modifiable to whatever you were in the mood for. Loved the music selection!
These guys always kill it. Dont usually get specials at other restaurants, but do here.
I love Station 2! Their food and drink are always phenomenal and, every time Ive visited, I always get the friendliest wait staff. I cant wait to visit when the weather cools off and I can enjoy their outdoor patio!
Do yourself a favor and get the beer cheese burger, its really good! I also tried the Elvis burger and albeit straight odd it actually is quite good!
Great team. Great prices. Great bar food thats not a deep fried mess - unless you want that
Food was fresh and hot! Service was professional but personable! Will definitely return next time Im in town!
Good burger. Good milkshakes. Good vibes.
Nice place, great waiter. Burger and fries were good. Cool art on the walls that you can buy for not a lot of money.
Been trying out recommended burger places in Richmond during my birthday month to determine my favorite burger and fries. Food was good! Enjoyed the sweet potato tots over the fries. Had the smashed patty with fried eggs and cheddar cheese on texas toast. Cherry chocolate milkshake to go. Yum! Our server Berit was excellent! She was attentive with a pleasant attitude. She is the reason I am leaving the review. Thanks for making this meal so enjoyable Berit!
Used to go here all the time when I lived in the Bottom, and happy to say its still great! Went with my wife and daughter there today and the staff couldnt have been better (Josh is awesome). Food was fantastic as well (I got the Hawaiian Sun with chicken with a side of their delicious chili). Really good vibes here, and hope to visit again soon! Service is on point and the food is great. A nice rotating draft selection (with a lot of VA micros). One of the better bars in the bottom
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in a mouthwatering burger from Station 2, and I must say it was an absolute delight! From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The presentation was impeccable, with a perfectly toasted bun that held together all the delicious components. The patty itself was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. Each bite was a symphony of tastes, complemented by the fresh and crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and tangy pickles. The combination of ingredients was simply divine. The attention to detail didnt stop at the patty and toppings. The burger came with a generous serving of golden, crispy fries that were seasoned to perfection. They were the ideal companion to the burger, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to the meal. What truly sets Station 2 apart is their commitment to quality. The ingredients used were fresh and of the highest caliber, evident in the burst of flavors with every bite. The service was also exceptional, with friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. Whether youre a burger aficionado or simply looking for a satisfying meal, I highly recommend visiting Station 2. Their burgers are a true gastronomic delight that will leave you craving for more. Trust me, you wont be disappointed! Overall rating:
Super awesome burgers! I took my kids for lunch and we all loved it. Great place to go.
Excellent burgers . Tasty adult milkshakes. Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu. Food : 5/5 |
I have only visited once, but the burger was tasty. I had the vegetarian bean burger and it was nicely crispy on the outside. I also ordered broccolini as my side, which I know is a bit odd to eat with a burger; it was fresh and not overcooked. I chose melted Swiss cheese and mushrooms, while my partner had the New Mexico burger with spicier toppings. I like the fact that you can order a smaller patty and bun if you do not want to eat the more generously sized versions. There are lots of tables and a bar, with outside seating as well. I visited during off hours but the high ceiling and bar probably makes it a bit noisy when things are hopping.
Cool spot in Shockoe with juicy burgers!! Love the atmosphere!! Will be back
Great neighborhood hangout. Delicious food with options for varying diets. Good value, good quality, and good drinks. Vegetarian options: Great black bean patty, numerous veg friendly appetizers like the falafel plate and entrees.
Very nice people!
Just finished an amazing late night meal at Station 2. It was our first visit, and we cant wait to go back, the next time were in town. Its great to have a solid spot like that, opened late and pumping out some good food. We arrived around 9:45pm, on a Sunday, hoping that the Google hours included the kitchen as well as the bar, and we were happy to see a few people sitting and eating. We didnt know if we needed to seat ourselves or not, so we waited awkwardly for a few and then grabbed ourselves in a booth. Patrick was our server, and he absolutely crushed it! Great service, great attitude, handsome fella is some solid jorts that truly inspired me. It was still pretty hot and humid outside, and he was running around in and out taking care of tables, and maintaining a great attitude. It was a hard choice to decide on what appetizers and entrees to get, as everything was sounding pretty tasty. Wet fries appetizer was SOLID! That brown gravy was super savory and paired great with the fries. I got the Ballpark burger with a side of chili, partner got a Black and Bleu with house made chips. The chili was big time yummy, my favorite restaurant chili that Ive had in a long time! The burger was seasoned well and cooked to a solid medium well. Partner agreed on all fronts to her meal as well and also LOVED the chili. I wish we couldve tried dessert, but it just wasnt in our budget unfortunately, even though everything is really well priced. Next time, more apps, more burgs, more desserts, more jorts!! Highly recommend checking this spot out.
Great experience. Josh was amazing. Really made a great impression and was excellent throughout. Funny and personable! Went here off the recommendation that it was one of the top 10 burger joints in Richmond and they didnt disappoint!
My sleeper brunch spot. I ll never understand how this place isn t more busy when I go. The food is great for the price. I don t think I ve ever left spending over 30$ (with drinks) and I ve never had a wait. Literally the worst part doesn t have much to do with the place itself and that s just the parking situation in Shockoe
The food here is amazing and so are the workers. I feel like a new person. I feel like I ve healed spiritually after visiting this restaurant. Toe curling experience 10/10. Mozzarella sticks are amazing. Our waitress, Berit, was absolutely wonderful
I don t often post negative reviews, but I am very confused by the thousands of high ratings for this restaurant. For being a burger restaurant I found the burger really dry, insanely big and tasted like an old frozen beef patty you could buy from any grocery store. There were no grill marks or char on the burger, Nothing about it was fresh, juicy, smokey, flavorful, or caramelized (which should be expected from a simple burger joint). I also ordered a wedge salad which wasn t a wedge, but was just chopped up old iceberg lettuce. The wings were the highlight but very messy and took far longer than any of the other items we ordered. If you actually want to eat a good burger, go to cobra burger. They are made with fresh ingredients and taste like beef should taste.
Shane, our server, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged for our meal to be separated before it was served. The September special and homemade chips were perfect for our needs. Were definitely coming back!
Absolutely love this place! We make sure to plan our trips through Richmond to be able to stop for lunch or dinner. Food is amazing and the staff are always very nice. Always worth the detour! Kid-friendliness: I ve never felt unwelcome with our toddler. The kids menu has great options!
Not many people here on a Saturday at lunch which was surprising because they are great! Food, service, atmosphere, price- all wonderful. Will be back!
Good American style food, in a fine atmosphere, with good service. Nothing extraordinary, but good burgers nonetheless.
Excellent service with a great atmosphere. Tried the Elvis burger and waiter recommended to add a side of honey and it tasted great with the honey. Also excellent sweet potatoe tots and float.
I had just got into town on a Friday and stopped in for a couple of beers. The service was excellent and it felt like a very cool and chill place to take a load off and unwind.
Their jumbo mozzarella sticks are slightly larger than average but have a fantastic flavor. They were marked new on the menu when we went, but I hope they STICK around. Good, stretchy, flavorful cheese and crispy breading that isnt too greasy. It is served with a chunky marinara that tastes very fresh and slightly smokey. It was SLIGHTLY watery but it tasted so good I didnt care. The pickles on the burger were very good as well. They are a sour style pickle with a nice complex flavor with spices (though not hot spicy.) I enjoyed their fries, and they obviously use good potatoes as the fries carry their own flavor and arent just bland starch. I personally appreciate that they offer malt vinegar, and our waiter also brought garlic aoli out from the back for our burgers (but I also used it on the fries, which turned out delicious.) The atmosphere was fun and cozy, we went on a board game night and if we hadnt been in a rush I could have seen sticking around for awhile. They were decorated for Halloween which was delightful. We will definitely be back to try their brunch.
Got billed for a drink and so did my gf when we didn t even drink them when we where kicked out right as we where served because bar tender didn t know I had a license service animal and told me I had to leave immediately, and he would not serve me! I am disgusted by my treatment at station two I used to live at American Tabacco Center and they always let me and my service animal into the restaurant until this new bartender came along. He was a white guy with long hair I never caught his name but I am disgusted by the way he treated me due to my service animal and also charged me for my drink that I didn t even get to drink and also charged me for my girlfriends drink and charged her for it as well. I am never coming back here ever again, and I thought that a business like this would support the fact that some people travel with emotional support animals that are trained and certified with paperwork to be there with their owner I will never be back here again, and if you have an emotional support animal, I would highly recommend you not come here
Its one of my favorite casual restaurants in RVA. The milkshakes are really good.
Loved it! The food here is always so good and I love the firehouse styling
We stopped by Station 2 on a day trip to Richmond and we just picked something off Google and this was DEFINITELY the right move! Our waitress Leslie was absolute perfection from the second we walked in, greeting us with a smile and explaining how things worked. I wasn t sure what beer I wanted so she offered some samples (both of which were FABULOUS!). We had the Greek salad and beerfest burger. Food came out quickly and was obviously fresh and super delicious! Leslie was attentive, friendly and very personable. As someone who works in the service industry I m hyper aware of wait staff and she was everything I could possibly ask for, I can t rave enough about her! They re lucky to have her on staff. Everything from food to service to atmosphere was completely on point. We ll definitely be returning when we re in the area.
Super great spot. A lot of appetizer varieties and cocktails . Also they do something different where you can get a burger from the app menu but it s slightly smaller than a regular burger but not a mini for only $5.5!! The prices were so reasonable and great service
