Food quality is horrible. Old rice, old veggies. Food smelled. Unacceptable. Ordered veggie fried rice and spring rolls.

Only order all-meat dishes from here, the quality will still be poor, but if you order anything with vegetables all you will get is vegetables

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in RVA I have tried so many and without doubt I pick this as my number one!

Its the only legit Cantonese food place in the fan, dont expect it to be gourmet or anything. Food and prices are fine.

I ordered sesame chicken,fried rice,pork egg roll and fried donuts. The sesame sauce had a non-traditional tasting sauce like corn syrup or maple syrup. It was different but not bad. The chicken was dry. Wouldn t order donuts again,they were plain with a lot of sugar dumped in the box. The pork egg roll was good,I had it with duck sauce. I would give them another try and buy something different next time but my food was just ok.

Ordered General Chicken, and the chicken was very dry and leathery. Sauce and flavors were ok. Delievered fast, but they are just a mile from me. Started getting head aches after eating the food, didnt think much about it too much.... However next day when I ate the left overs, got head aches again, I think it was an overdose of MSG or something from the General Chicken. I usually order from Good Taste... but for some reason they were closed. I remember ordering Christmas Eve last year, via some delivery service. The delivery guy called me and said they didnt have my order. I called the restaurant and they never received the order. Would have appreciated an appology or some attempt at an explaination, but didnt get any...

Affordable and decent portions, not much else to comment on other than the super fast delivery. Nothing I got here was ever tasty and definitely feels like they re cutting corners. Definitely better Chinese in the area but for value, efficiency, and speed they re hard to be beat. The Eatery in their prime (rest in peace my beloved) was sooo much better

Beware if you have food allergies. Ordered beef lo mein and began to get an itchy mouth and stomach pain. Called them & turns out they put peanut butter in the sauce. Who puts peanut butter in beef lo mein? Employee s only response was that i should have told them before i ordered.

First time I ve ordered from this place and the food was wonderful. Nice and hot. Egg rolls was nice and tasty.

Ordered dinner through Door Dash. We ordered 3 dishes- mapo tofu, kung pao chicken (requested NO Nuts), crab rangoon and fortune cookies. The food came quickly but the kung pao chicken contained NUTS! I called them right away and they sent another but did not apologize. My daughter could have had severe allergic reaction. Is there more than one cook?!! The second kung pao chicken somehow even looked better. Opened the mapo tofu and it looked and tasted like it was soy sauce soup. It was inedible. The only thing good was the crab Rangoon and the fortune cookies. What a waste! Sorry to say I will not order from this place again. Dietary restrictions: Should always check the food before eating.

If you are looking for cheap but delicious chinese food- this is the place to go to in Richmond. It never disappoints. Its open on a bunch of holidays as well.

I live down the street and have ordered many times. They rarely mess up the order, maybe only a 2 times in the past several years. Food is reasonably priced for a takeout joint and pretty consistent. The food containers are always well packed.

Shrimp & broccoli my go to I always request my broccoli soft they got it right very flavorful as well, shrimp fried rice had great consistency however was lacking on the sprouts & vegis.....orders should be called in advance due to no entry only walk up window currently however very quick service

There is a reason this place has been in business for so long. My mom was in the hospital and all she wanted was an egg roll, chow mein and egg foo yung. Best Chinese Ive had in Richmond in 6 years since moving here!

I am never eating there again the food was not great i ordered beef and string bean and the beef was super salty and i ordered a Ice tea and it came with a bug in it. i ordered from the twice and that was my last straw.

I hate to leave bad reviews, but Fu Jian was so bad it ruined my night! The food arrived 35 minutes earlier than it was supposed to, so I was in the shower when my driver arrived. I could not hear him knocking, because he was not knocking on my apartment door, which was listed on the order as the dropoff location, but rather the storm door of the entire apartment complex. When I finally realized what was going on, I ran outside to meet him. I opened the door, and immediately he shouted, Whats wrong with you?! He shouted so loudly that my neighbors peeked their heads out of their apartments to see what was going on. He passed me my food and stood there fuming, waiting for a tip. I checked my phone after going in, and when I checked the time stamps on the 17 missed calls I had from him, it was obvious that he was not outside for longer than 2 minutes. If being screamed at wasnt enough to ruin my night, it was - HANDS DOWN - the worst Chinese food Ive ever had in my life! And Ive had a lot of Chinese food in my life. Completely tasteless, colorless, and cold. An awful experience, truly awful. RUN, dont walk away from Fu Jian.

Just callrd to order food girl on phone said she didnt know where my place of work was i asked if they had gps she said yes so i told to ask the driver to use it because they are only 2 block they are on main st and i on 9th st she then puts me on hold for about five min.then comes back and told me to get somebody else because they didnt know how to find me an when i tried to give her the address again she hung up in my face i will never call them again worst service ever

Its Chinese food, and they deliver quickly. Food is pretty hit or miss, and prices increased dramatically in the past few months (Wontons from $4-7, everything else up by $2). Inflation sucks, and I get that, but the dive the quality took is also noticeable...

Only got like two pieces of broccoli and overload of chicken...which would be good to most people but broccoli is my candy. Still good though even if the proportions were off and the chicken is a little over breaded.

I absolutely love this place. Best General Tsos Chicken in all of Richmond and really good Crab Rangoons. Amazingly fast delivery and great delivery drivers. As someone who is super picky about my chinese food, I cannot recommend this place enough. I can almost guarantee if you like Chinese food you will love this place!

I found Fu Jian about 2 months ago and have gotten delivery from them about 5 or 6 times since. Their website sign in has allowed me to easily reorder my go to meal. They dont deliver past a one mile radius but have only a $1 delivery charge which is perfect. The prices are really low and the portions are high so I typically order food which lasts my boyfriend and I two to three meals each. I have only had positive experiences with Fu Jian and will continue to order their awesome food!

Food used to be tasty and I would order a few times a week but quality has seriously declined in the past year. I would not recommend at all.

The Wonton soup was good in that the broth actually tasted the way it should, unlike how many other places make it these days. So that was great! But it didnt have any pork strips & not many spring onions. The szechuan beef was ok, only had broccoli & green peppers, & no onions, carrots, water chestnuts, baby corn, etc.. General Tso chicken the sauce was good but the chicken was a bit tough & stringy around the outside. The middle of the chicken was ok.

It s cheaply priced neighborhood Chinese food! It s good for those nights you don t feel like cooking. Is it anything special? Not particularly, but that s not why the majority of the customers go here. If you re expecting phenomenal Chinese food, then go pay for it. This is just a good tasting neighborhood restaurant for the locals and it s priced cheap enough. It s right around the corner from my house and it tastes good enough for what I m paying. I order from this place every few weeks, I ve never had a bad experience.

Average Chinese food but fast delivery.

Delivery driver was rude. Basically threw food at me and left. Order lobster lo Mein with no veggies, received lo mein with a lot of veggies and crawfish and imitation crab. The wonton soup is extremely watery no flavor.. The crab ragoons are not sweet at all and are gross! I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone

Egg drop soup cold and bland. Hot and sour soup incredibly disgusting and cold. Sweet and sour chicken not fully cooked through general tsos chicken was alright given the lunch specials were 6 bucks. Its cheap know what youre getting into anyone who rates this place above a 3 is a fake review. Cant do any of these classic dishes right might as well shut down. Only upside is that its cheap. Know also i ordered at 145PM if its this bad when its supposed to be slow god knows what dinners like

Honestly one of the best Chinese restaurants around. Their Singapore noodles and Sechuan Chicken are something i cannot get enough of. Friendly family service and delicious food with large portions. I recommend this to everyone i know.

Meh. Its the only Chinese takeout in the area, so there isnt much choice. Theyre not doing their glorious culinary traditions any favors - calling the food mediocre is stretching it, tbh. But if you order here, do *not* actually step foot into the place to pick it up: the dining room (and I use the term loosely) is absolutely - inexcusably - filthy. By far the most depressing place Ive ever been in. Itll put you off your kibble for days.

They re some of the better Chinese food in Richmond but also the Chinese food in Richmond kinda sucks in general. Most things are too sweet. EDIT: I ve been here many times without problem but the last time I got takeout I found tiny pieces of glass in my food. Probably won t take the risk from now on lol

I dont like being negative but thought I would mention my disappointment... I ordered chicken fried rice, chicken and broccoli, and a spring roll for delivery. When it got to me the entire bag was soaked through with the sauce from the meal and completely ruined the entire meal. The Chinese boxes were soaked through and fell apart in the bag. I tried to save as much as I could but even then the food literally tasted like chemicals. For $30. I want my money back

Great location on the corner of the street, parking was easy to find and there was plenty behind the restaurant. It was pretty stuffy inside with no AC and the door open (it was 90+ degrees outside). The food however was delicious, vegetarian friendly... was able to get General Tso Tofu with Veg. Lo Mein and Spring Rolls. Plus you get a ton of food for the low price!

Delivery was about 30min. Vegetable fried rice was delicious Wonton soup very good. Nice and hot. The vegetable spring rolls very good as well. Will definitely try them again and probably dine in to get that experience too

Theyre general tsos was too sweet tasting. And they sent us burnt appetizers, instead of golden brown it arrived charred black.

Its great when you are drunk

Pretty disappointed. The lobster fried rice is made with imitation crab and rubbery shrimp, the dumpling sauce was packed poorly and dumped everywhere, and the delivery driver was incredibly rude.

Just had some cashew chicken, pork fried rice and a spring roll from FU Jian. Have to say it was terrible. Almost impossible to find a piece of chicken in the cashew chicken. The rice was very bland... Almost tasteless and the spring roll was sub par. Do yourself a favor and say FU, Fu Jian

Best Singapore rice noodles!

I went there years ago it used to great then one day I went in there and got the general tsos chicken and beef and broccoli the broccoli had little transparent bugs on it you can only see if really paying attention. What the **** are those?! Dont eat there! P.s they werent moving like the died like that chilling on the broccoli lol

I rarely write reviews nor do I rate under 3 stars but I had to make an exception because I have never experienced such awful customer service before. Ive been ordering from Fu Jian for over a year now and never once have they gotten my order wrong. Ive never experienced too much friendliness from any of the staff but they werent overly rude by any means... Up until today, Fu Jian was my main place for quick, nearby Chinese food but with the treatment I experienced today, I can honestly say I will not be returning again. I attempted to use the online ordering through GrubHub, I used it on my phone but not through the app. I ordered fried dumplings, beef and broccoli, a spring roll, and egg drop soup. NOTHING WAS RIGHT. Aside from the egg drop soup tasting awful and bland, the fried dumplings were not fried, they were steamed. The beef and broccoli was also steamed. The woman I spoke with said that I had ordered the fried dumplings and steamed beef and broccoli. Ok, then why did I order steamed dumplings? And I never chose steamed vs cooked beef and broccoli? The wrong order wasnt as much of a problem in comparison to HOW THEY HANDLED IT. I called and explained to the young woman what happened and she said to me, can I call you back? then she just hung up........ 45 minutes to an hour later a man called me back and tells me he can remake the order. But by the time they called me back I was already on my way to work and already skipped lunch. SO this guy tells me they cant refund me but theyll credit me for another order or make another order and bring it to my work, but I honestly didnt even want to eat anymore, I was so frustrated with the little customer service and concern for a frequent customer I KNOW they remember.

Its basic chinese take out. Dont get the fried rice and youre fine. Its better than most other chinese fast food places and they are fast. Like really fast. Ive never waited longer than 20 minutes for my food. The interior is ugly but so what the food is fine and thats whats important. You want interior decoration go to a sit down restaraunt. This place sells the chinese equivalent of FAST FOOD, some other reviewers dont seem to get that.
