Busy tavern serving pub fare with some Irish & regional options in a paneled space with a patio.
Amazing place with impeccable decor, a great selection of drinks, and five star food that was a great mix of traditional Irish favorites and more. Not terribly busy when they open up at 11:30, evenings are definitely much busier. Service was excellent, waitress was attentive and accurate. Bartender was fast, despite being rather busy
Sine is an incredible authentic Irish pub. The food was great. The service was incredible. True Irish staples on the menue along with some classic bar food. The decor was true to the theme. Usually "Irish pubs" are just a bar with a flag on the wall and Guinness on draft, but there was definitely some thought and effort put in here. We will definitely come back to eat here again when we are in town.
We stayed right across the street, and this place was very good. We went to dinner twice during our stay, and both nights the food was very good. Also, the service was on point. They have a nice patio you can eat outside on. Last night we ate there, the waitress talked us into dessert, which was so good. Snickers pie. The crust was amazing. Also recommended are the fish tacos and the turkey melt. Just be aware for the dessert, it is a big portion. 2-3 people could share, from what we were served. Definitely recommended if you're nearby and want lunch or dinner. If we're ever back in Richmond, we'd definitely go back here again! Thank you Siné and the staff! :)
Overall experience was great. We went on Sunday afternoon for lunch / happy hour. They do 5 dollar sangria and mimosas pitchers. We chose the red sangria and it was delicious. They have a lot of seating, and the place is large. We sat on the upper outside deck and chose some appetizers and a dish. The Irish egg rolls were amazing. As well as the homemade pita chips were tasty. We chose to share the brisket Mac and cheese. For us, it was okay. It's definitely not a dish I would choose again. I think it just had too many flavors going on for us. It has a couple of different types of cheese with brown gravy and cheese it crackers thrown in. The brisket was tender and soft though which I thought was tasty. The server was wonderful, caring, and very friendly. I want to say her name was Ashley, but I could be wrong. However, the total experience was pleasant.
I'll start by saying I had my dogs so I only saw the porch, but I can see a stand-alone bar w taps (unmanned) so when busy, I'm sure I'd still get the same stellar service. Great vibe downtown, and btw, I totally did not expect to find a patio downtown that's dog friendly. 😀 Way to a neighborhood atmosphere! I ordered a Guiness w/o looking at the menu, and then read over things. I was perturbed by how many non-Irish beers existed and the same goes for food. But I persevered and ordered the corned beef. Whoa! Totally non-traditional (didn't know you could twist a dish this simple) and it's now my favorite preparation of all-time, and I've been to Ireland. It's served in a bowl of sorts in liquid--much like eating mussels at an Italian place, the broth is incredibly savory and after 1 bite I couldn't stop...only wondering where the garlic toast was to dip into this broth--heck, I spooned it all in leaving nary a drop. Cabbage and red potatoes were perfect, and there was mustard on top of the dish, even if I ate most before taking a pic. Water bowls provided for the pups...I closed out, but now I want a 2nd meal to see how the fish n chips are, or the Shephards pie or bangers n mash. 5 stars doesn't cover the food, service, etc. I'm all-in and what a great 1st for me in RVA as I just moved here from Austin, TX. Thank you Sine!
I don't even know where to begin. I literally just ordered from this place for pickup right now: Monday night at 9:00pm. I walk in and there are 10 people in the whole bar; super quiet and not busy. I was handed my food by the bartender and I noticed the container in the bag was extremely small (first red flag), but it still had some weight to it so I thought, "Okay". I ordered the 'Mam's Pot Roast'. I get home and open the container up to find this crap. One, the container is 95% mashed potatoes (very f-ing deceiving), but what really pissed me off was the fact that I was given 4 TINY A-S THIN strips of "brisket" that are literally as tiny as my fingers and spoon I am eating with....FOR A $17.99 MEAL. And I put it in quotes because the meat was gummy and disgusting; not to mention the gross, barely cooked giant chunks of celery 🤢. And as I mentioned, they weren't even busy (but maybe that is a tell tale sign, especially from all the other reviews). I live a block away and will definitely not ever order from here again. Don't say you weren't warned, or be surprised at what you get if you decide to order anything that doesn't come from a fryer.
I was excited to try this restaurant. Based on the reviews I thought, yum. Their motto is "This is it." I assure you, it is not! We arrived (3 of us) right around 6p. It was pretty empty, but I noticed several servers. I did notice they didn't seem to help each other out. Our drinks sat empty for close to 20 min (water and tea) on 2 separateoccasions. We were there for about 1 hour and 45 min. I ordered an Island Breeze. Tasty? Yes, but there was very little alcohol in it. We ordered chicken tenders for an app. It was mostly nugget sizes and a couple of actual tenders, and they were over fried, not tender at all, but more on the chewy side. They were not hot, which tells me they probably sat a bit before being brought out. We had waited so long at this point, so we ate them. Another long wait and our food arrived. At first, I was super impressed. I got the fish and chips. The fish on top looked huge and was very juicy and flavorful. I loved it! I thought things were looking up until I went to eat the rest of my meal. The 2 fish under the top fillet were so thin, no batter on parts, did not taste as fresh, and were fried to ruin. It was inedible. I literally chewed and chewed and then just spit it out. The burger was mid. My son couldn't finish his macaroni and cheese, which was actually penne and cheese. All of our fries were cold. Again, we waited so long, so it wasn't worth it. Our waitress was very slow. I generally give 20%, but gave a generous 15%. The desserts sounded good, but good grief, it was going on 2 hours! After tip $74. It was not worth it. Not at all. Very disappointed.
Went here for happy hour on a Wednesday, wasn't too busy and service was pretty fast. It's a good volume inside and the seating is pretty spacious. We got crab and shrimp dip which was really creamy and irish nachos which were pretty good too. It's just similar to a loaded potato! We got Lemon drops and vodka cran as well as our bill was just shy of 30 so great value. (during happy hour!)
The potato soup was amazing!
Atmosphere is 5, service is 1 star, parking is 0 stars street only in a busy area. We had dinner here on a Friday night, 3 people, and got a trainee server who utterly failed. Salad ordered, he didnt ask for dressing. Appetizer was dropped on the table and person ran off. The pretzels and cheese dip was stone cold and the dip was almost rock hard within minutes of arriving. Entrees came, no one asked if the person wanted salad dressing. Cheeseburger was ordered withOUT onions or tomatoes, that was the only topping on the burger, no cheese. Bangers and mash was pretty bland but ok, I only ate a few bites having run out of my drink. We were low on drinks when entrees were delivered and no refill was offered, server didnt come over to see if food was OK or that we needed anything else. We all ran out of drinks and no one came to check back. We could see the server and trainee talking with two other people by the end of the bar and tried to get their attention, neither were paying attention to the tables, they were really enjoying talking. The server came by to see if we wanted to-go boxes but we were still eating, we all wanted a refill (just soda and tea) so trainee dude came back, we had to tell him all our drinks, and he got 2 of 3 wrong, seriously. I wanted to love this place, it has a really nice atmosphere, but the servers are mediocre college dudes that dont have a clue about food service.
Coming to this restaurant was a big deal for me, given my name. When we went in we told them how my name was spelled the exact same and pronounced the exact same. Being such a none common name in the US I was so excited and they really lived up to my expectations. Not to mention, when I came back like 2 years later I found out throughout those 2 years workers were still talking about me and my name. So thank you Siné
I had an extremely rude, demoralizing interaction with the security guards. I was laughed and yelled at about the validity of my ID. His only premise? The fact that it was too bendy. He did not even look at my birthdate. He nearly snapped my ID in half. I hope the security guard staff are adequately trained to recognize real IDs in the future.
Awesome pub!
Its apparent that this establishment does not treat the workers fairly or without discrimination.
Friendly bar! The food was pretty good and they have a bunch of different beers.
Great food and great service.
Really good food! Friendly staff.
My husbands grandparents are Irish and loved the atmosphere! The food was delicious and we had very attentive and kind service throughout. Would recommend again and again.
One of my favorite spots in the Richmond area. Nuff said!
We went after the marathon. The service was great, the food was great and the atmosphere was perfect!
Its like the Dubliner in D.C. but with a huge place to dance. I went in for lunch around 2pm. Absolutely loved the alternative 80s rock of my college days. Siné is typically American Irish themed with Police unit patches stapled prominently. Guiness on tap, NOT so typical is the Glen Livvet and Glen Fiddich at LOW shelves. The Bangers and Mash tasted ok. The onions are definitely NOT canned but caramelized by the kitchen. The mash was smooth and velvety. The Sausages, I like whole, but they halved them like you would find in a sandwich. It was all plopped next to a monkey bowl of unremarkable canned beens. The food was ready in 4 songs or 80% of my first Guiness. Im glad I couldnt tell if the food was microwaved. I think everything was cooked fine but wished for a toast for the beens. The Staff was friendly but busy doing inventory and cleaning. Im guessing the staff was recovering and prepping for the weekend night of typical Richnond Club scene. This place is so popular at night, there is a LONG line to get in. I got to see the line barely move during the previous night from a balcony at the Hotel next door. The young ladies need to wear more clothing! (Their fathers must be proud) Do try to make it by 9pm or youll have to wait in line and be mistaken for prostitutes awaiting johns. Perhaps Ill take my kids for lunch when i visit next. Ill get there at 11am to enjoy the mimosas.
The patio is kinda ugly
Ate there twice in 3 days. Sheppards pie was very good, but Mac and Cheese with Beef Brisket was Outstanding. When I make it at home I will add sliced mushrooms in the gravy and serve it with black bread, but it won t be as good as this!
Best happy hour in town and the service is always warm and friendly. Cheers!
Nice lunch spot. Outdoor patio is wonderful!
Sine is one of the best Irish pubs I ve been to in the US. Very authentic atmosphere, great food, awesome staff. Fridays they have $5 craft drafts until 9pm! Best happy hour I ve ever heard of. Blew my mind!
Just walked back to my hotel from Sine where I had THE best Shepherds Pie I have ever tasted. The dish had rich gravy, plenty of LAMB (not beef) and vegetables. The potatoes on top were absolutely delicious. Anabelle, Mark and Chelsea were the best bartenders shaking up mean and delicious drinks. They were friendly and added to the great atmosphere. I lived in RVA several years ago in the area of the pub but didnt know it existed. When I come back, I will definitely be back to try the creamy potato soup and fish and chips.
Service was great. Drinks were prompt and fresh. Food left a lot to be desired. The loaded potato soup was very hearty and loaded, but also overloaded with salt. The Irish spring rolls were overly bland. The corned beef and cabbage was lack luster. Corned beef was decently cooked but not great and the cabbage was clearly not cooked with it or seasoned when it was cooked. The mamas pot roast was horrible in every detail.
Corned beef and cabbage were amazing. Had brunch this past Sunday banana Foster French toast
On top of everything else, Drew and Bryan at the bar were all you can ask for. If youre in the area, stop by, say hi, and enjoy.
Drew and Bryan helped make this place awesome!
piggy pub-fantastic spot for scabs, cops, and nextdoor HOA goons
Absolutely love taco Tuesday.. fish tacos ...the atmosphere is authentic Irish..A real find...stop by and Ireland wont disappoint
Great I found. A chunk of gold JUST WALKING BY ONE MORNING - a lot of hot chicks
Parking: Limited to 2hrs Food
Sine has great customer service and good food! I always enjoy eating here.
Went during lunch hours so it will probably be different during dinner hours. I say this because I can clearly see this being a great place to go in the evenings. The atmosphere was great and the bar looked intriguing (I didnt indulge though). Great location and the service was also great. Food was delicious and didnt take long (please keep in mind this was lunch during the week). Overall, solid place. Good food, good service, great atmosphere. Nice and clean too.... Parking: No designated parking for THIS restaurant....may the best man/woman win type deal on the street parking
Irish nachos are the best and delicious, great pitcher options for brunch
Love this place. My favorite pub!
Looks like an Irish pub, but does not feel like an Irish pub. Did not pour black and tan correctly. Service was lackadaisical and borderline rude. Bathrooms are downstairs, which is super inconvenient. Didnt stay long enough to try anything else.
Great brunch!
10/10!!! We stopped in for their brunch special and had a wonderful time. If you stop by, ask for Kat!! She is vivacious, funny, and provided exceptional service. Siné is lucky to have her on their staff!!!
Fish and Chips got a 10/10 from my family (parents are from England)!! Great place to go for hearty delicious well prepared meals. The decor held a lot of character making the dining experience fun for sit down meals with family. Food : 5/5
Overpriced, gross food with bad service. Do not recommend.
I accidentally ordered a Caesar salad that wasnt on the menu, but they handled it as if nothing had happened. The atmosphere inside and outside the store is perfect for a change of pace.
The corned beef and cabbage was a bit too salty with the heavy amount of garlic butter added. Also, they dont offer Irish Soda bread. The bottled beer was not very cold. Im hoping it was just an off day for them and would like to try the food again. The server was great.
Fri night. Now crowded upon arrival. Had crabcake sandwich. I dont believe any crabs were killed in the making of that sandwich. Also had to wait till the end of meal to be able to request a cola refill.
The fish and chips are a must! Admittedly, I have not been to Sines Richmond but I LOVED (and greatly miss) their Arlington location. Pleaseeee bring back Sines to the DC area!!
Loved the atmosphere. Food ok - fries alright. Chicken wrap was very dry. Ruben sandwich good.
The food was very good and plentiful. Happy hour prices made it taste even better! $5 Guinness!
Its always great. Love the bread pudding. Wheelchair accessibility: Not the main door but door a fee feet away. Food : 5/5 |
Pretty traditional Irish pub. They have cold Guinness and hot snacks. They have a great little patio for enjoying. Worth a stop with friends or coworkers for fast friendly service.
_5/5 Stars_ Visited on St. Patricks Day and had an absolute blast! This place is a gem in Richmond. The atmosphere was electric, the Guinness was flowing, and the live music had us dancing in the aisles. The Irish charm and hospitality were palpable. Definitely one of the best Irish bars Ive been to! If youre looking for a authentic Irish experience, look no further. Cant wait to go back!
Extremely tiny portions. Never been given so little. Couldnt help but laugh when it was brought out.
Nice little Irish bar downtown. Good vibes and food. Happy hour until 7pm.
Amazing food in a wonderfully historic area. Bangers and Mash and Mams pot roast, plus a potato soup and for dessert the car bomb. Seriously delicious food with wonderful service and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in an Irish pub.
Very laid back atmosphere. Food is amazing and comparible the most 5 star restaurant we have been to. Presentation of the food was spot on and gorgeous. Drew was very friendly and did a amazing job serving us. We will be back soon!
I am very upset how long they made us wait with no service. I came here with my husband looking forward to a fun little date but left with an empty stomach and disappointed. It would have been fine if we were given water at the very least, but 25 minutes with not even a greeting from any server was very off-putting.
This is a college bar, lots of freshmen, lots of noise a college town bar.
Super bland food
Always love coming here, especially sitting outside. Reuben sandwich is awesome. Fries are great too
The waitress was nice. Food was terrible. I got the corned beef and cabbage. Wish I took a before pic. Three slivers of under cooked corned beef. It was very tough. Some over cooked cabbage. And some hard, raw potatoes. Not sure how they pulled that off. The prices are a bit high too. Had I even been able to eat the potatoes I would have left hungry.
Delicious food and good selection of beer.
Best $1 mimosas Crab sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes, deliciously served Service was wonderful as well. Food : 5/5
Place was pretty quiet when we got there and we were seated right away. Ambiance and atmosphere was nice and relaxing I m sure if it was busy it wouldn t have been as the noise level would have been too much. Been to Ireland and I can say, the pub resembles a traditional Irish Pub, but misses the mark. Way too dark inside, no live music, and definitely not crowded! Food misses the mark too. Although the names of the entree s are Irish, the flavor and recipes were not, imo. The beer pretzel appetizer was pretty good, although I wish they served authentic pretzels with salt on them. Corned Beef and Cabbage was under cooked and way too salty. The corned beef was tough and we even had a few raw potatoes. Definitely needed a lot more seasoning. The Shepherds Pie missed the mark by the farthest. The pie was a consistency of a chili with everything seeming to be pureed. The mashed potatoes were not baked in, but rather ice cream scooped on top. However, they were the most flavorful of everything. The waitress barely gave us any mind and rarely came by the table to see if we needed anything. One thing that irritates me more than anything is having to wait to pay the bill. And we definitely had to wait! I d stop by again to grab a pint on a quiet night, but would not recommend this place for dinner - or an authentic Irish meal. Parking: Mostly one way streets in the area, so you may have to circle the block a few times to find a spot.
Great bar food, nice atmosphere. Wait staff was excellent.
Bangers and mash was literally banging.
The Shepherds pie is great, service was great and friendly. Their specialty drinks are all great. Also, the potato soup was great.
I lost my wallet at Sine. When they found it and I called them saying that I was already out of town, they shipped it to me for free.
Best rueben ever had. Staff very friendly knowledgeable and courteous
The meal was delicious! The $1.00 mimosas are a little weak...mostly orange juice.
Love this place
This place has great vibes! Their draft beer is a go to! Their food is also good. They have live music on the weekend which makes a perfect Friday night Irish pub vibes! #OMARating 8.5/10
Ive been a couple of times and the Irish Nachos are the star of the show. The fish and chips are also really good and thats rare.
Didnt have any complaints about the food or drink. No complaints about the service either. Decor was nice and had the right vibe. Top 40s pop and some country playing the whole time did not.
Always consistent. First brunch there. Bananas Foster French toast was excellent.
food was pretty mediocre but service was good
I usually love Sinés. But this is the saddest excuse for Corn Beef and Cabbage I have ever had. Look at this meat. I don t even know if we can call this corned beef without putting shame to the Irish. Happy St. Patrick s Day.
an irish pub being closed/ closing early on st pattys day is crazy. also the bouncer is mad weird
Amazing Irish Pub. I had the fish and chips and my friend gave me the rest of her fish and chips because there was no way she was gonna finish it but I can because I am large and mighty. Also, 6 dollar mixers during happy hour? Hell yeah.
Comprehensive menu, if you dont get your value out of what your spend then you need to go somewhere or go back to high school math lol, great service as well
Incredible fish and chips, light and buttery fried pickles. Wonderful vibes. Waiter seemed a bit angry that we were eating there.
Food was delicious and portions were huge. Service was fine. Lovely atmosphere to match the Irish theme.
We went to sine for their happy hour from 3-7. We got there at 2:45 and ordered, saying we were just getting the happy hour stuff. Our food arrived after 3:00 and we ate until 3:45 ish, but when our check arrived they charged us for the full thing because they rang up our order at 2:56 ish. Very Kafkaesque and annoying, I feel like they could have been nicer to their returning customers. From now on we will be going to the other Irish pubs nearby.
Ordered the crab and shrimp dip. I think there may have been one small saled shrimp cut up in it and not a hint of crab, at least not crab with a (c). Tasted aweful. First and last time ordering from this restaurant.
First time ever here. The atmosphere is what you would want in an Irish pub. Beautiful old woodwork, cozy little places to sit, tasteful decorations. Our servers were fantastic! We came at a change in shift, they both came to the table and were so nice, making sure the transition was done smoothly. Beer was cold and great! My wife had the Shepherds pie. It was excellent. I had the fish and chips. The portion was great, fries done perfectly, and the fish was flakey and delicious. The only reason the food didnt get 5 stars was the coating/batter on the fish tasted like the oil needed changed or something. It just had that off taste. But the filets were large so there was still plenty to eat. If we are in the area again, we will stop back in for sure.
Such a fun and delicious hidden gem in Richmond!
Great pub atmosphere, the whiskeys delicious and service is great
Great place to eat in Richmond VA. Food was awesome, drinks were great and service was superb. Get there during happy hour for cheap drinks and half price appetizers.
Slow service. Delicious corned beef n cabbage! Yum
Treat yourself. Get the Irish nachos, the Reuben, pub salad, and the best Guinness in Richmond. Ask for Caroline as your waitress. You will have a blast. EDIT: Place still rocks in 2024. Lily was our waitress and was absolutely positive and fantastic! Great meal!
The bartender did not warn me or mention that the PINT I ordered of beer cost a whopping $15! I NEVER leave bad reviews. She was not helpful and I will be back to talk with the manager this evening. Absolutely unacceptable.
Went to Siné early doors. Great Guinness and a good selection of other beers. We had Irish Nachos, and they were great! Service from Brittany was excellent! Food : 5/5 |
First time here a day we will be going back. Called ahead to make sure we could bring our puppy and you can. They bring out a bowl of water for them and set a place on the patio. Food was very good. The mashed potatoes needa little salt tho. Fish and chips was excellent!! Kid-friendliness: Nice kid menu choices!!
The pitcher of mimosas was good and a great deal!!! My husband had the bloody Mary and he said it was great! Everything we had here was good! The Irish nachos I highly recommend. My son had the crab and shrimp dip and he finished it all by himself. My other son had the kids Mac and cheese and it was actually penne pasta which was way better than macaroni noodles! Glad we stumbled upon this restaurant during our trip to Richmond VA.
Drinks only
Great place to grab lunch in the Capital area. Food was great, service was excellent. Plenty of servers to cover lunch.
Waited twenty minutes for the bartender to come over. This was at 1:20 in the afternoon.
First time here. Nice experience eating at the bar. Loved their turkey reuben sandwich. Friendly atmosphere
Shepherds pie is great!
Decent spot for some good food. The Chicken Chesapeake was decent but I wish there was more crab
Excellent food! Great atmosphere! We brought our dogs and sat in the tree shaded patio. They have a nice drink menu and water bowls for the dogs. The food was excellent. Lots to choose from. The desserts were really delicious. We tried them all. The building is really beautiful. We had a great time here.
A little pricey but always good food and service.
Relaxed place when I was there. Happy hour and lunch on different days. Got three dishes there and we liked all of them. Nice place on hang out in Richmond
Sine has fallen off in the last year or so. We used to frequent this place for brunch, at least a dozen times since 2019. Something happened in the last year, the waitstaff now no longer allow 2 people to order 2 pitchers for brunch. They claim it is illegal, though Moore St.s entire shtick is personal mimosa pitchers, so that is not true. The bartender in the last few times we have gone on Sundays has basically just made orange juice pitchers. $5 isnt bad for a pitcher of orange juice but Id like a mimosa when Im having brunch. The food is very solid. The kitchen staff know what theyre doing with Eggs Benedict and their sandwiches are awesome. Its just a shame about the bartender and their deal with mimosas. That was the main draw for us so it looks like we are done with Sine until something changes.
This is my first time in pub so I felt its a good and different experience songs are ultimate vibes really we enjoyed a lots
Had the bangers and mash as well as some fried pickles. All delicious!
It was a Monday evening and it was not crowded. Great service and good food.
The food is great and the service is amazing. We went to Sunday Brunch for my sister 30th birthday. It was 6 of us. Our waitress spilled a Poinsettia (cranberry juice with champagne) drink on my 10yr old neice(she was wearing all white). She immediately apologized and hurried away. She returned a few minutes later with, a glass of club soda, some clean rags, and the manager. We were so impressed with this gesture. We didnt make a big deal about it and continued on with the meal. In the end they took care of us all. We will definitely be going back! Did I mention that the Poinsettias are the best I ever had and are only $1 during brunch! Youre welcome, lol!
Best mix between a dive and a club. Dj usually plays 2000s hits and a mix of modern hits too. Drinks are about right
Good food and friendly staff
At Sines they have security guards aimlessly walking around trying to kick people out. One guy didnt work there and started choking me while I had my hands up actively walking out. Another security guard said that he did not know who that was. The security guards also pepper sprayed my friend. All this started because they thought my another friend in the group had to much to drink.
This place way exceeded our expectations! The food at this pub is spectacular! We were seated quickly and our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. We went for lunch during their $5 pitcher special which was incredible. We ended up getting about six glasses out of the pitcher, which was an incredible deal! The Irish Nachos were beautiful! The potatoes were the perfect mix of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they did not scrimp on the toppings. We ordered the Shepherd s Pie and Corned Beef and Cabbage for our meals. Both were very hearty and delicious. If you re in the area and looking for a pub with high quality food for a great price, this is the place to be!
New Year s was lit celebrating at sine s. Their decor is literally my style, and the food is always a must have. I do wish they had not been all but shoving all the people out of the bar starting at 1:55am and their security measures are borderline neurotic in my opinion but better safe than sorry right? Thanks sine s for being consistently reliable all around in the food and fun industry!
Have been coming here for years! Great atmosphere and great food. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The Irish nachos are our favorite!
The service and atmosphere was great. We sat on the back patio but the inside feels like a true Irish pub. Food was subpar. I prefer thick fries with the fish and chips. The brisket Mac and cheese was awful. There was hardly any cheese, the brisket was chewy, and it was topped with cheese itz s, which was not good. I would go back for drinks but not food.
Came here with several friends at 7pm on a Saturday. We made a reservation and we got seated immediately. Our server got us drinks right away and we had time to look over the menu. After putting in our order the food came out quickly. It was all correct and my food was delish. The atmosphere here is dark and cozy. The only irritating part was a group of guests getting really loud at the bar. Otherwise we had a really good time here!
The foodie game in Richmond is on point! The proof is on Cary Street! Come down to Siné Irish Pub! The atmosphere is perfect and the price is right! They offer modern twists on Irish fair such as Irish Spring Rolls and Irish Nachos. I went for the Corned Beef and Cabbage followed with dessert, a chocolate delight called the Car Bomb. It paired perfectly with the light orange notes of a Macallan 12.
The security here is horrendous and needs legal action brought against them. A large group of friends and I used to go here a lot. Never again and telling everyone we know not to go.
Very authentic looking bar and the atmosphere was great! The rueben sandwich was Good but not the best Ive ever had and not the worst. They have smithwicks beer with was a pleasant surprise ! All in all I recommend adding it to your stop in the downtown area ! Grab an authentic Irish beer at an authentic Irish pub ! Slainte !
Siné did not disappoint as an Irish Pub. Friendly bartenders, cold beers, and DELICIOUS Shepherd s Pie (with actual lamb). What more could one ask for? SLÁINTE
Hair in my food, which is not a huge deal to me, stuff happens but.... Security put their hands on one of the girls in our group, when they could have just asked her to move. Wont be back.
Horrible atmosphere. Terrible staff. Will never return here everyone is rude. I would not recommend
Only here for one drink in the afternoon. But I am partial to the name. This was the same named pub I frequented in my younger days in Stamford CT. Also good to see establishment in the shockhoe area!
Our favorite places in Richmond. We always enjoy sitting outside. Halley our server was very likable and answered our questions about the area. Like everything Ive tried on the menu.
Delicious food and great customer service.
Honestly I was having a good time til this busser downstairs came up to me and was being homophobic for me being outside the bathroom because he couldn t tell what parts I had. I wasn t even going in just waiting on friends outside and he had a problem with me and threaten to kick me out. I believe he worked there because he was just chilling outside the bathroom and wearing all black he was around 5 8 and had a light beard. Kinda don t want to ever go back.
Good waiter. Napkin wrapped/taped around knife and fork. OK, I guess...efficient and cost-effective. I get it. I asked for an extra napkin. Waiter said he was not allowed to do so but he got me some cocktail napkins. Classy. Winking, I said that I had dropped my fork, could I get a replacement? No problem, he laughed, and got me another napkin-swaddled knife and fork set-up. Good guys: 1 Management: 0
Have been several times. Always enjoy the food Parking: The garage is close by and sometimes you can find a good start spot Food : 5/5 |
Great place with good food and friendly attentive staff.
Cary St. A great area. Came on a Saturday for brunch. 1 dollar Mimosas are a too good to pass up. I ordered the special, which was a Pesto Chicken Sandwich and It could have been seasoned better. Barely tasted any Pesto. The waitress was nice, but didnt know a lot about the special details, which restaurant could train them better. Waitress service was good, so no complaints. Overall 3 Stars. Food could use a little mores seasoning.
Best happy hour in Richmond
The food and service are great. They have a great selection of beer and drinks.
Awesome food and friendly staff. The chicken with a crabcake on top and sauce on top with masked potatoes. Awesome. Also beer at the bar. Awesome staff.
Great food, friendly staff.
Nice place. Good beer. Good food.
We travel to Richmond several times a year. A great place to relax, have a meal and a pint. Dog friendly patio.
Food was delicious.
Food was pretty good, especially the bangers. The staff was excellent
Good prices, food, and service. Dark traditional looking pub. Had the shepherds pie which was okay, not inspiring. Overall happy with the visit
First off, this irish pub located on Cary Street had a very interesting look like Celtic drawings on the ceiling and hard carved etchings into the bar. The booth that we sat in had a handmade stained glass window designed from wine bottles. The light fixtures were so unique looking. All of these Irish traditional touches added to the authenticity. The food was amazing. My husband had fish and chips while I had Bangers and Mash. Of course, Bangers and mash is a quintessential British dish of sausage and mashed potatoes, typically served with onion gravy. However, its roots extend to Ireland, where youll find the dish in many local pubs. Thumbs up to the cook who cooked these dishes exceptionally well. The portions were generous while the prices were reasonable. For appetizers, we enjoyed their parmesan coated pretzels with beer cheese. Our food was prepared relatively fast. We didnt have to wait to be seated. The food arrived hot. The service staff was friendly and attentive. My favorite part is they have a wide selection of domestc and craft beers on draft and I the bottle. I will definitely be back.
This place is nice. Food is awesome! The only downfall is parking, but we usually find spots in the parking deck down the street. Once youre inside, you wont be disappointed.
Great atmosphere and the food was pretty good. They have a DJ start at 9:30 on Saturday (they check your ID at the door) and it was fairly loud - our waitress got my order wrong because she couldnt hear me. Would recommend it if in the area.
I had the brisket with Mac and cheese. It came fast and it was hot and delicious. My waitress was attentive and charming. Someone give Maddie a raise!!
This place was amazing. The food was out of this world and the service was great as well!
Very cool Irish pub in downtown Richmond. I didnt take pictures of it, but the pot roast and irish nachos were awesome. My coworkers got fish & chips and the servings were huge! Edit: I went back and had the corned beef and cabbage. This place is awesome!
Nice quaint place! Vegetarian options: Good veggie options. Food : 5/5 |
