Chris is the go-to for impeccable service and some of the best cocktail recommendations you ll ever get. Sydney has this infectious energy that makes the atmosphere lively and welcoming, while Hailee s precision and creativity behind the bar are unmatched. Gabe is a powerhouse of knowledge and charm, always engaging and quick to deliver perfection in a glass. And Amyah what a star! Her passion for what she does shines through in every drink and interaction. This team is the perfect combination of professionalism, personality, and skill. Had my birthday dinner here last night and it was amazing! I ordered abondigas (with a side of mexican rice to soak up the sauce after). Paired it with the Oaxacan snowglobe (nice smoky taste). The whole meal was great. My server was Andrew, he had a lot of personality and made the night fun while taking care of my table. The atmosphere is cozy yet lively. It was a wonderful experience. Chris and Hailey saved my life. I was choking and Hailey performed the Heimlich maneuver and Chris caught what I was choking with his bare hands. It was rad. Chris then showed me how to properly chew my food afterwards. And then proceeded to baby bird me. It was exquisite. Hailey and Chris are epitome of 212. This place rules!

The Birria Tacos are fantastic. Order one for the table and then several more to take home with you. Andrew was great with us and really nice to our daughter which is really appreciated. Hopefully you ll see him when you get Birria Tacos.

Today was my cousins graduation celebration and from the moment we walked in our server Andrew made us feel like family. The tinsel and tequila decorations were so unique and everything just really put us in the Christmas spirit. What a special gem this place is. They even sang to us in Spanish!

My colleagues and I hosted a corporate dinner here during the holiday season and we were really impressed. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was festive and the food and drinks were really good. They accommodated some last minute changes with ease too. I highly recommend Sabine as she was a wonderfully attentive server and I will definitely request her next time I go!

We made a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our server Michelle was fantastic and checked on us frequently. The Baja fish tacos were AMAZING as was the Guac, Queso and chips. The festive Tinsel & Tequila was perfect for the holiday as well as the accompanying beverages. Great spot for date night! Parking: We were able to find free parking just a short walk away near the pipeline.

Happy hour on a Monday! Great service from bartender Sydney S. There was a great holiday drink menu which she went through with us to match our tastes. Nice ambience, cool decor with all the tequila bottles. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Waitress barely came to our table to the point where we had to ask the host who was seating people if they could get her and they had to give us straws because she didnt. Several people in her section had to call for her as she walked by because she never came to tables to check on people. She was busy going outside and talking to other servers. We had ordered a drink, she said she would make sure it could be done and never told us or even checked. She completely forgot. The food wasnt that great but passable. The worst part was the service.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Don Jose and was fortunate to be served by Andrew. His attentiveness and professionalism truly enhanced our experience. He was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also entertaining, making our evening memorable. Andrew went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations with his friendly demeanor and excellent service. I highly recommend asking for him if you visit hes an exceptional waiter!

This is my go-to spot whenever I m in the area. The staff is great and genuinely works as a team. I usually sit at the bar, where there s a bartender named Javier who s very knowledgeable about their liquor selection. He can tell you about the origins of the liquors and make recommendations based on your preferences. There s also a manager, Angel, who checks in to ensure everything meets your expectations. Once, I ordered their Tres Leches without realizing it had coconut, to which I m allergic, and she personally remade it and brought it out to me. On my last visit, another manager, Amari, was doing inventory but took the time to make sure we were okay and checked in with us while we sat at the bar. 10/10 definitely recommend !

I love coming to Casa Del Barco on the Canal Walk. It is a prime location to catch up with friends and receive great food and service. From the bar staff and bar managers and the kitchen staff and kitchen managers, all of the employees take their time to ensure that the customers are enjoying themselves and their food. I have been about 3 - 4 times already and have never been let down! If youre looking for a good dessert, I recommend their fried ice cream. 10s across the board. I will definitely be back!

Casa Del Barco - Canal Walk location is the best location of all. Every time I visit Im never disappointed. The food, drinks, and desserts are amazing!!!! The customer service from the workers to the management team is unmatched. Definitely visit if you re in the area. Trust me you won t regret it.

Our experience was a bit mixed. We were sat immediately, which was nice. Unfortunately, no one came to even say hello for a good while. No waters, no menus, nothing for a good 7-10 minutes. When we did finally order and get our food I had to ask for napkins and silverware so we could eat it. Our water glasses sat empty quite a while and finally I just asked for a pitcher because the server was not coming by at all. The food was good, and the atmosphere was fun. It was just a bit overshadowed by the poor service.

Good location and nice ambiance, views. Went for lunch given it was so close to canal walk. Food was reasonably priced but mid quality. Tortilla chips were made to order which was nice. Too many dings on other food... cheese was not melted in burrito and oily, grocery store quality corn tacos, and underwhelming salad.

Casa del Barco is a wonderful restaurant with a fantastic historical atmosphere. Today my wife and I were helped by Sabine, she is wonderful! Sabine answered every question I had about both menu items and the city of Richmond with a smile and without hesitation. Word to the wise, the plate of nachos is enormous. If you get them, definitely only order two tacos instead of three. Thanks again Sabine!

10/10 Great first time here (and definitely not the last)! The mushroom taco was excellent, there was some fried cheese in it that made it incredible. The quesadilla was four humongous slices, with guac/lettuce/sour cream on the side. The 3 Amigos appetizer was amazing, the queso was similar to beer cheese and was delicious. The churros were my favorite thing, the fact that they are stuffed and have cold gelato and whipped cream made it perfect. Alondra was a wonderful server and was very polite and efficient.

Not to be disrespectful, but the food sucked. It had no flavor at all whatsoever. I feel like as a Mexican restaurant. You should have authentic Mexican flavor maybe they should start with hiring people that know what theyre doing. As far as cooking goes! Everything else was okay.

This was our first visit. We have always heard how good it was and we were not disappointed. The staff was very welcoming and the service was great, even the food runner was very personable and friendly. His name was Axel and I remembered it because my best friend has a brother with that name. I wish I could remember our waitresses name because she was great too. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting downtown.

I came in on a Saturday and was treated spectacularly. Not knowing anything off the menu I immediately was recommended a diverse amount of options for food from my server Gabriel. I was treated with the highest regard and was well taken care of from the moment I stepped into the establishment. In addition, the food was phenomenal, the Birria and French toast were made to perfection. For the price, quality, and service I can say I will definitely be back!

Similar to other guests, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was pretty good, but our server was awful. We waited for quite some time for drinks and food, only for food to arrive cold. I had to flag down other servers to send our food back, because our server never checked on us. Never once did the server or manager check in to apologize for this. I then had to ask another server for help to pay our bill because we again could not find our server. Charged full price and over paid for what we got. Definitely not the spot to try if you re in town.

The food quality is average and it is overpriced. The guacamole did not have much flavor. The Nachos were basically mostly chips with a smattering of black beans, tomatoes, and some cheese thrown in - looked pretty but was a pretty poor rendition. of a filling nachos plate. Jalapeño margarita was so so.

Service is consistently subpar but the food is decent. There always seems to be a wait for the check and refill on drinks.

Absolutely loved our time at Casa Del Barco, was greeted at the door by Elijah. He was very sweet and knowledgeable of the area, which was nice since we arent from the area.After which, my friends and I were served by the lovely Sabine. She is such a sweetheart and made sure the experience went perfectly. Highly recommend asking for her!

Great food but terrible service from the wait staff. For Mexican food it s quite highly priced. Main problems on service were lack of refills , no silverware, and no privacy when writing the check. (Standing over your shoulder when selecting tip). For the prices, they are charging the service should be top-notch, with common courtesy.

It was super busy tonight but, our server Azzur was sooo super attentive and sweet to us. The queso wasnt what I was expecting in texture but was way yummy.

Entered the hostess was nice, but not dressed appropriate. The waiter needed more customer service training. He also was the bartender. The drinks were weak. Our first time trying fried ice cream. We didn t taste anything fried about the dish. Everything just seemed mediocre as far as expectations! Parking: We ended up finding a parking spot some blocks away. The GPS really did not give us good enough directions. The place is hidden and so are the parking spots.

Patadas Bravas came soaking in oil, the guacamole was minuscule and not edible, I love salt, but that had so much it was impossible to eat. My boyfriend and I went for happy hour. Found out that happy hour is only at the bar so we did that instead of getting a table and it worked out perfectly! Our bar tender Jillian was amazing, so attentive and had amazing service! Happy hours deals are great, would recommend.

Cris was an exceptional server! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. The service was prompt. I would definitely come back and hope to have Cris as our server again!

Great service from Shawn who was super friendly, and great food! We loved the tres amigos to start and I enjoyed my street corn salad. Mezcal margarita was also great. Looks like outside is a nicer vibe if you can snag a spot outside.

Casa Del Barco Canal Walk is my FAVORITE location. The food is always amazing and my server Shawn is the greatest. Drinks were just as amazing thanks to Jillian. Thank you so much and will definitely be back.

The food here is horrible. And our server was too. I ordered the pork tacos which came with rice and beans. The rice wasnt cooked, hard and crunchy. Beans were dry and pastey, corn tortillas were old and crumbly. Had to find my server to get out check, she never refilled our drinks or checked on us. Wont be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa Del Barco, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for what was to come a perfect blend of warmth and elegance. The staff was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home.

What an incredible experience with a fantastic staff and divine cuisine. I had an excellent time there and will definitely be back soon! Top tier 10/10
