Some of the best food I ve had in a LONG time. Great atmosphere and the curry chicken is fantastic. Definitely will be back.

I was a DoorDash driver and they were so sweet and kind and patient with me. Truly a great atmosphere. :)

No answer when I called, couldnt get inside, everything is boarded up. Where is the entrance? Online says they are open and Ive walked around trying to get inside and cannot.

The food is definitely a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend the Doubles and Saucy Shrimp Crispy cups. Had the Curry Shrimp with fried rice for an appetizer. All was delicious. The owner came out and spoke with us for a bit. It s a family run business with flavors representing Jamaica, Guyana, and Trinidad. The flavors are amazing. The food was delicious. Ended up taking some to-go as well for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend. One of the best meals I ve had in Richmond, probably the best actually.

We had been trying to get here for a couple of months and then it magically worked out yesterday. We came here because the reviews were great and they did not let us down. We will definitely be back.

Food was amazing. But the portions for the price were rather small IN MY OPINION. I would definitely return.

Gotta go here ASAP. The wife and I did delivery. Even so, the packaging and presentation of the food is STILL impressive and the food is amazing. Best Caribbean food so far in RVA. We can only imagine how much better it will be dining in.

i have never devoured anything that fast. my sibling got the mac n cheese and my dad got the curry chicken and they were both super good but the oxtail was actually unbelievable. possibly death row meal. i am still in heaven from how good it was. plus there was great music playing, and amazing service, the lady who served us was super nice and she helped my sibling sample a ton of stuff and the mauby and sorrel drinks were so interesting and tasty -- if you like complex, unexpected flavors they were very lovely and yummy. overall perfect restaurant, i will be craving this and coming back!

Highly recommend the jerk chicken crispy cups! Doubles also has great flavor. Best Caribbean food we ve had in Virginia.

Food was very delicious, felt like I was in mothers kitchen. Service was good, the owner and staff was friendly.

Super good service, food came out fast and hot, had the jerk chicken, oxtails, rice and peas, plantains and stewed cabbage. Every dish was so good, definitely come check it out!

Food was on point. Everything had a spice to it ,well seasoned and fresh. It is one of the best Jamaican restaurants in the 804.

I cant wait until I visit Currys in person because oooooooh weeeeee baaaaby! I Door dashed Curry Shrimp with Bussup Shut Roti, doubles, and Crispy Cup. Unfortunately, the crispy cups were out of stock but them doubles and curry shrimp and roti was EVERYTHING MY HEART COULD DESIRE!!! The curry shrimp had plenty of shrimp, the roti was soft and flaky, the curry sauce was sooo good. But the doubles, my lawd! Somebodys granny is cooking in that kitchen because you can taste the love in their food. Vegetarian options: Currys list their vegetarian options.

Found this spot on google. Food is delicious. Oxtail, curry shrimp, chow main, and wings were all on point. Definitely will return!

Tried the jerk chicken, oxtail, and stew chicken- all were amazing but the stew chicken had to be my favorite. Owner was incredibly welcoming as well and atmosphere was cozy & inviting. I recommend trying the sorrel juice as well.

OMG!!!!! I recommend this restaurant to everyone.....Everything was delicious....we were visiting over the memorial weekend from hampton va and my family and myself enjoyed every moment.. .the ambiance, the food and the service. .I wish this establishment many blessings and prosperity......there AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

This restaurant extraordinaire - food, service and ambiance - far exceeded our expectations!!! And we are not easily pleased! If youre a foodie like us, you will absolutely love this pleasing to the pallet experience!! The menu has an amazing selection of dishes and everything we ordered was finger-licking good! I love everything about this place. This is an AUTHENTIC Caribbean restaurant. The blend of cultures from 3 student countries is unique & they come together well. The service was top notch, theyre very attentive & they answer menu questions with detail. The food was absolutely delicious! We had a chance to meet the owner and she was lovely. I cant wait to go back!!

The doubles were so tasty and the tamarin sauce created a perfect balance of savory and sweet! This place was great! I had a date night and we enjoyed every bite! We will definitely be back. We tried, curry shrimp & red snapper eskovitch both with rice & peas and cabbage. The crispy cups OMG they have were delish, we placed a second order. Sorrel & ice tea as well as a painkiller. Everything was amazing!

After being charged by a nearby restaurant for a takeout and then later being told I d be refunded because they were closed, I called Curry s. The gentleman who answered said they closed at 6 (I called at 6:11) but still offered to help me place a to go order I was already in front and they had my order hot and ready to go in less than 10 minutes. Phenomenal! I ordered the oxtail and let me tell you, were they so so delicious and actually worth the $ spent. Unlike many other places that offer the dish. Thank you Curry s! Will definitely be ordering on any future visits to VA

Excellent place to eat! Entres were stuffed Plantain with Oxtail and Saucy Shrimp with fried rice. For an appetizer the Pholorie was fantastic! Never had it before... The favor, the spice mmmm it was so good! The staff was very attentive and the owners personally stopped at each table to check in. As a fairly new place this should be on your radar. Will definitely make the drive from Williamsburg to eat here again.

This is a lovely restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. The food was delicious! They have spicy food and mild food, good for everyone. We will definitely go back for more!! Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options.

My wife and I were actually looking at southern food and the wait was longer than we wanted and we saw Currys across the street and said hey lets give it a shot. We are glad we did. Friendly waitstaff and the food was delicious. I had the oxtails which were perfect and she had the stew chicken which she enjoyed as well. If you are looking for Caribbean food this is the spot. (I would play more traditional Caribbean music on the sound system but that may just be my preference) good luck to Currys in this new venture.

Beautiful atmosphere- from floor to ceiling. Music is definitely a vibe. The food is authentic and full of flavor. The front and back of house staff are very welcoming. It has the best doubles I have ever had in Virginia. I will definitely be back.

Cute restaurant with delicious Trini food. We initially passed the restaurant earlier in the day and the aroma filled the air outside the restaurant. We decided to return for dinner after checking out their 5 star ratings. The doubles and pepper sauce was authentic as well as the jerk and curry chicken. The family that runs the place was delightful. We re in town visiting and will be sure to be back when we return to Richmond.

LISTENNNNNN!!!!!!! Food, atmosphere, drinks, music, vibes, hospitality ALL TOP TIER!! Went here for my husbands birthday (very close to closing time) and still the staff/owners went over and beyond to provide an exceptional experience. I cant even think of anything that could have been better. Everyone was professional yet down to earth. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The food.....was flavorful and did not miss! Will definitely be back!

Food, service and people are excellent

Being from Trinidad - was excited to have this option - food was on point curry chicken and boss-up shot roti was delicious with good Chick peas and potato / condiments with tamarind were delicious - my partner had the stew chicken with cabbage and bake - equally delicious - sorrel drink tasted amazing . Unfortunately they were sold out of doubles classic street food on the island but will be trying soon . Service was on point and great - good to hear some old soca / Caribbean music while dining - can t wait to try their roof top deck and outside area coming soon - for anyone looking for delicious Caribbean food - it s a must !

The owner is so warm and welcoming. The corn soup is awesome. All of the food has so much flavor, the cabbage is the best.

RUN, don t walk, to this spot for some great food! A friend recommended I try this spot so when I visited RVA, I had to stop by. I ve never had Guyanese or Trinidadian dishes before, but everyone was super welcoming, patient, and gave some recommendations when I walked in. I decided on the curry beef dhalpuri with a side of fried plantain. Very tasty and I had to eat it all even though I was full. Still thinking about it 12+ hours later, lol. I ll be back to try more food!!!

Outstanding! My boyfriend and I stopped by for the first time and ordered the vegan options: Dahl Pouri wrapped roti and plantains. Everything was so good! The mango sauce is out of this world. We found our new favorite spot! The vibe is chill. The place is clean. The people are beautiful. I am thoroughly impressed. 10/10

We were riding around looking for something new to do on a Friday night .. We drove by and saw the Curry s sign and I told my wife to look it up.. She is from Guyana and when the description said South American Caribbean, I immediately parked and decided this will be dinner tonight Upon entering, everyone was very welcoming! We ordered: bake and saltfish Curry Shrimp Shrimp Chow Mein Sorrel All of the food was very good! Ask for some achar :-) It passed the Guyanese born validation!! The owners and staff stopped by to converse and sharing their stories/vision.. Richmond needs to understand that there are different types of Caribbean cuisines other than Jamaican (which I also love) so I wish these folks all the best with bringing Guyanese/Trinidadian cuisine to the city!!

Visited Curry s yesterday evening and I was pleasantly surprised. I m Caribbean born and I ve lived in Richmond for most of my life and I ve always complained about the lack of diversity in Caribbean cuisine here. When my husband and I stumbled upon Curry s and heard that they serve authentic Guyanese and Trinidadian food, we had to check it out. We ordered the bake and saltfish as an appetizer and it was definitely a 10/10. For the main course my husband ordered the chowmein with shrimp and I ordered the curry shrimp with cookup rice (Rice and peas with meat). The flavors were amazing and authentic! Honestly, the best Caribbean food I ve had in Richmond. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is really nice and the music set the vibe. Please check them out! Also, order a glass of sorrel with your meal to enhance your tastebuds! We will be back!

Sylvia is an amazing cook. I am a trained chef and I was so impressed by her food! Her husband Gabriel has renovated this previously fire damaged building basically by himself. And let me tell you, the atmosphere is beautiful

Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. I want to thank the owner who greeted me. Gave a warm smile and had so much knowledge about the food and history of Guyanese culture. I plan on coming here often. This is the ONLY Guyanese restaurant I think in Virginia, and its authentic!

Food was delicious well prepared. One of our dishes was the snapper it was cooked to perfection, no smell of fish seasoned well. The bake and salt fish brought back memories of our Bajan corner shop the only thing missing was some maury. I highly recommend Currys the owner was friendly and the atmosphere clean and comfortable.

This place is ! The service and atmosphere is fantastic and the food is top tier. If you are looking for something different and authentic then Currys is the place. You wont be disappointed!

The atmosphere was such a delight, very clean, very romantic the pricing that you paid for the amount of food you got was really great. Its so great to have this type of customer service stateside I felt like I was taking a trip just by visiting a restaurant, if you havent been definitely put it on your bucket list a must experience
