My first time trying manchu s and The customer service was really good, despite it being packed the person taking the orders was patient and treated every customer with the same upbeat attitude and tone which goes a long way.

Man I love this place and can t wait to get back I m a couple blocks away but a bit confused on hours so f op . But staff is very helpful in helping my son pick his food out which he loved and he even got named after him ! But staff talked with him about his spice level and different chilies it was the whole restaurant experience!!! I tell everyone I know if you come to north side and Manchu is open you Gotta Go!!!

I pull up at 7:05pm it clearly say they close at 8:00pm. I pulled the door the lights off. Workers looking at me. False advertisement. What tine yall close cause I drove from cross town to get nothing. Disappointed

Best shrimp Po Boy in town. We definitely enjoy the chicken and Cajun fries and gotta have some mambo sauce for dipping.

Decent food at decent prices. Very nice and attentive staff, though. People raving about the po boys here need to get around a bit more. In my opinion they weren t bad for the price but the bread was a bit dry and both the shrimp and the remoulade lacked flavor.

Im from New Orleans where the original Manchu is. It was a welcome surprise when one opened here in Richmond. The food is excellent and the staff is always inviting.

The food is decent at best but the customer service is trash! They never answer their phone to spite having very few customers in-store. The guy at the window is more concerned with calling people by name than prompt & consistent service. If you have time to waste & want mediocre chicken this is your spot. Food

The fried rice isn t the same but overall is still delicious and the owner is from New Orleans and he is such a nice person. He greeted us. Very well. Ordered take-out. Chicken wings and fries and a drink. I wish they had a wider selection on their sides. The chicken is very flavorful and you dont have a long wait thats a plus

First time eating here. I gave them 2 stars to be generous. They claim to be New Orleans style but Nola doesnt have put po-boys on hoagie buns and half fill them. When you order a po-boy in Nola it is so full it is enough for two...the bread is much longer and is a specially ordered french bread just for Nola po-boys. I ordered Philly cheese steak, a shrimp sandwich, and wings. I dare to call either a po-boy. The cheese steak should have come with cheese, but there was no cheese just some kind of sauce. The wings were ok because they were seasoned but could have been seasoned more. The size of the wings were small. So instead of them using actual wings those were wingetts. For the price these should have been full size wings. That is misleading to say you have wings but youre serving wingetts. The shrimp sandwich had a lot of shrimp but the shrimp didnt have taste and again it was on a hoagie bun. There is a distinct taste to a real po-boy, because of the bread alone. Most of all, I really hate for restaurants to claim they serve a particular type of food and they dont. This is just a tactic to get customers which is their option but dont try to charge an arm and leg when the food isnt what you claim it is. Take it from me this is NOT Nola food because I am a true New Orleanian. You are speaking of the one in the lower 9th ward. I will try it.

Best fried chicken in richmond and its only fried no sauce. But they definitely dont get the credit they deserve because lord knows the chicken is always the same. And they know their customers by name never forget your face or what kind of sauce or meal you like friendly respectful and always makes you feel welcome like family and their family run also .I can go on and on but just go give them a try its not average chicken because their from the islands so Philippines finest fried chicken get the sticky garlic sauce they are a small restaurant but they are so fast if youre stopping in for lunch now thats 5

My wife and I first thought this would be a Manchurian restaurant. LOL What we discovered was a great little restaurant with great sandwiches, gumbo and Cajun fries. All reasonably priced. A wonderful hidden gem in the BPB neighborhood.

Food was fresh and seasoned and the customer service is AWESOME everytime.

If you want great chicken wings , then get over here . The Cajun fries whewww and egg fried rice great choice sides. The customer service is unmatched clean lobby and pretty good portion wise . Shrimp po boy loved , gumbo wasnt bad , just go get something you wont regret it.

Ive gotten to-go food from here multiple times in recent weeks and I have yet to be disappointed! The food is always fresh and delicious, even after sitting for upwards of 15 minutes during the drive back to work and walk to my office! I usually get the bbq wings with cajun fries. Coworkers get wings in various sauces but swear by the mambo sauce. Theyre normally busy but get orders out quickly. Staff is also very friendly. Definitely my favorite wing spot in Richmond!

I m sorry am I missing something? I don t understand all the hype?? The wings were basic itty bitty wings!! Sides were horrible & dessert was just ok. I wouldn t eat here anymore. The reviews will have you thinking this is the best place ever to eat! I just didn t like it and my husband didn t either. I was very disappointed because they have such good reviews. I will say the lady taking the orders was very nice and professional!

I love that they have small wings because black people don t trust no big chicken I like the soy garlic sauce and the mamboo sauce and I love the ginger ale with raspberry and lemonade! It s basic food that is always hot, fresh and good! It s the consistency for me!

I gave it a one because my food wasnt good and not fixed right at all. I ordered a Philly cheese sandwich and I got a steak sandwich with no cheese and hot spicy sauce on the bread that shouldve been told it was spicy spread I wouldve yold them no cause it made my stomach hurt and I couldnt it the rest so I threw it away. This is the first thing Ive gotten from them. So that makes me go back to my shrimp platter in which Ive always order but decided to order something different and I wish I hadnt on the real tip it wasnt pleasant to eat.

Rock solid po Boys I got 1 shrimp and 1 fish And a Bahn mi. Generous amount of shrimp Nice crispy soft rolls Very positive staff I was super baked and ate it all I did want more roumelade on mine, I shouldve asked for more saucy. Next time.

I ordered a 10 piece wings with double fries, on the board it said 12.49 and when i was rung up it was 18 something, i just paid without thinking but while i was waiting for my food someone else came in and ordered the same 10 piece double fry but we re charged only 15 and change. When I got my food I asked the cashier why it was different and she said there was a $2 up charge to get my wings tossed. I ve worked at a wing place before (zaxbys to be exact) and tossed was how the wings just traditionally came, all you gotta do is toss it in a bowl and shake, to charge $2 for that is Preposterous. But that s not even my main issue, my main issue is the fact that I wasn t told about this upcharge. The menu has signs everywhere saying sauce is extra, to sub a sauce is extra, if I didn t know any better I would think this place was opened by EA with the amount of all this extra money I have to pay. That all being said the food is good, I just wish they were honest about their prices instead of adding all these random fees for no reason.

I drive 27 minutes just to get their wings and Im never disappointed. Love their sweet aoli garlic sauce and the wings are always good and crunchy. Chicken and sausage gumbo is good as well.

The chicken was freaking amazing it taste and look like real chicken I ordered one helping and before I was done I ordered more. The location will fool you but it is a great restaurant. No seating though to eat they only have chairs to wait.

Fell off big time I was on hold in enough time for me to drive there, 13 mins.! I get there not busy at all, the owner was not concerned when I showed him how long I was on hold the food taste nothing like in the past , chicken taste plan now salad is just lettuce !. NEVER AGAIN!!

BE CAREFUL. They are charging you more than the menu price (and intentionally not telling customers that they are doing so). The only reason I found out is that the final amount seemed a lot higher than the menu price plus 10%. I asked the cashier about this and her response was Chicken prices are higher now and its a lot of work to update the menu. So its okay for them to just charge higher prices without telling the customer?
