We are proud to introduce you to our new authentic Thai food in town! Please come in and share your experience!!
My favorite Thai place in Richmond. Visited several times and never disappointed. The quality of the food is amazing and worth the price. My favorite from this restaurant is Tom Yum noodles :))))
Excellent flavor. Spice level 4 was pleasant. Tried the Duck roll and Green Curry. Would recommend for good Thai food downtown!
never seen such good portions on takeout. food was delish too 10/10
Sit at the Thai Studio Restaurant if you can. Easily some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The Pineapple fried rice with shrimp was very testy.
My new favorite drunken noodle spot in Richmond!! Friendly staff, flavorful food, and having a spice rack is just a green flag for me at a Thai restaurant lol SOOOOO YUM and great for takeout 💃🏻
It was absolutely to die for. I have been to Thailand a few times in my life and was always chasing that type of good flavor. Came into town for an event, and boy, did it not disappoint it was absolutely delicious. The presentation was also on point.
This place is awesome. My wife and I got the steamed dumplings, crispy duck, drunken noodle and a cup of tom kha soup. Everything tasted phenomenal and the soup in particular was the best I've ever had. It's clear that these people are really passionate about the food that they cook and it shows. I whole heartedly recommend this place.
I stopped by this restaurant when I was trying to kill time and I must say I’m happy I ended up going. The customer service was wonderful I felt really welcomed as soon as I walked in. The restaurant was very clean and not really busy at the time which I appreciated. The man that greeted me was super nice and explained the specials of the day. The food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. I ended up ordering a seafood hot pot. This was my first time having this dish and I was not disappointed. The seafood was fresh juicy and flavorful. I also ordered the Thai basil spring rolls and they were SO fresh and delicious. The avocado sauce they serve with it made it even better. The hostess saw I was running low on the sauce and before I could ask for more she was on her way with it! They knew the perfect times to check in on me and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I will definitely plan to go back next time I’m in the area.
I rarely forget to take photos of the food. Every time Ive gotten the pad thai, it disappears before the photos come. One of the best pad thai outside of the country of origin in my opinion. Especially in Richmond.
Good food and friendly staff
Delicious Thai food. Pad see ew was really tasty. Soft and chewy noodles seasoned perfectly. tom yum noodle soup was good but a little too sweet for me. Well packaged for to go order. Pad see ew is very delicious.
A great little location at Richmond
Empty on a Thursday evening. Not sure how. Food was excellent
We arrived around 2:00pm and were greeted right away. The food was the best Thai we ve had (compared to Fredericksburg, Stafford and Woodbridge area). We ordered the dumplings, 2 soups, fried rice, pad Thai and curry fried rice. The waiter noticed I seemed uncomfortable and quickly resolved the issue - there are scents/plug-ins throughout the establishment. I am very sensitive to scents. He quickly removed of all and then handed my daughter smalle utensils after delivering her food. Will definitely be returning.
We had Thai Spicy Basil and Ginger Chicken. Service was excellent and quaint location. Food was good.
The food was not great, and the service could have been better. Maybe they were short staffed, Im not sure, but there was only one person tending to the customers who dined in and all the food delivery drivers and take out orders. He did his best I think, but simple things took a long time because he was busy. The restaurant seemed more suited for take out rather than a dining in experience, which was the experience we went for. Also two times, the smoke from the kitchen get so intense that those of us who ate closest to the register were coughing.
Delicious food and amazing atmosphere Vegetarian options: Tofu and veggies Parking: Close to many parking garages near the convention center. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly for all ages
This place is absolutely amazing! The service is quick, attentive, and friendly, and the food is beyond delicious. The orange chicken has the perfect crispiness on the outside as well as the perfect softness on the inside. The pad thai is transcendent. The first time I ate here, it was because it was the first thing I saw when I was hungry and my mind was blown, but it was just as good the second time! Ill definitely be eating here any chance I get!
Very good food!
This is the best Thai food in Richmond! Quality ingredients, flavor profiles mind blowing, cooked to perfection. The service is excellent. I had forgotten one dish in my order. When I received the food and realized I had missed it, he expedited the order and had it out in about 5 minutes. 5 stars all around!
The family ate here. We love Thai and eat a lot where we live. Found this one on Google Maps. We had spring rolls, fried dumplings, pad Thai, pad eggplant, and mango sticky rice. All were delicious! Reasonably priced too.
DANGEROUS FOOD SANITATION ISSUES We ordered delivery from here. I looked at all of the reviews and picked the highest rated Thai place I could find. Whoops. To be fair, everything tasted great until my husband bit down into something as hard as a rock. I heard it. I was sitting several feet away and I could hear the crunch. So then he started looking through his food and started finding some surprises. It was like a scavenger hunt from hell. The below egg shell piece was the first find, followed shortly by a piece of plastic (both are pictured below.) It s as if his food fell on the floor and was scooped back in. This was in a noodle dish. We got tired of this little what is in my food game and threw it all out. I asked for a refund through the delivery app and called the restaurant to inform them. I was very nice about it but I m not sure that the gentlemen on the phone full grasped what was in the food, though he did offer a refund. I have not been able to get the queasy feeling to go away and would NEVER go back here.
They have new management and the food doesn t taste the same at all! Was very disappointed
Today went to check this place because of high rated and my friend recommended me also because she already went here before the atmosphere and staff also very good. Lets tell you about the food we ordered red curry with beef and studios sassy shrimp and spring rolls and mango sticky rice the food was outclass and so delicious we never had like this food before I highly recommend to all....
It was delicious and Ill be excited to go back. The pork drunken noodle and Thai iced tea was amazing! Kid-friendliness: There was one childs seat.
Food was amazing! The server was also very accommodating and friendly, will definitely be back!!
What a great experience @ Thai Studio the presentation 5 stars, cleanliness 5 stars, customer service 5 stars, The Food delicious 5 stars. Go check it out. Its delightful.
I tried this place when they first opened and I must say I wasnt super impressed. However, I decided to give them another try based on the more recent reviews. HOLY COW. This should be your new go to spot if you are looking in the downtown area. Get the tom yum! Seriously, do not sleep on them. 11/10. Fair warning to the less spicy inclined: The Laos hot is actually hot. As a pepper head, its definitely not the hottest thing Ive ever had. It is, however, the first time Ive had something spicy enough from just a menu option for spice level, that I will only have to ask, please add some more spicy peppers instead of light me up, Im ready.
Everything was made hot and fresh. Curry puffs were very crispy. Red curry was beautifully flavored. Some of the best orange chicken Ive ever had. Server was very friendly and courteous. Glad I went!
Some of the best food Ive had in my life. And made by the nicest people. We had the Pad Thai and Massaman Curry. Every single bite was perfection. I cant recommend the place enough!
Stopped for dinner on a drive from NY to NC. Had the summer rolls, red curry, and wonton noodle soup. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly!
First time going. I ordered the Dumpling soup. It was perfect for me. I asked how much for broth to go. They were kind and gave me extra no charge. Im going back to try something else.
It was nice experience to dine here with family. I will suggest all try this restaurant food
Had a lovely experience at Thai Studio, which is under new ownership as of this month. Some new interior decor and really flavorful dishes! We had a party of 7 and every person on the staff was knowledgeable and dedicated to making the experience great. Everyone in our party had a different dish with raves all around. Everything came out nice and hot. I personally had the tilapia with Thai mango sauce and it was one of the best Thai fish dishes Ive eaten! Nice tilapia filet cooked to perfection - flaky and moist. The mango sauce was delicious with cilantro, scallion, sliced mango and a great sauce (flavorful fish sauce in there for sure). Served with a side of perfectly cooked rice and stir fried veggies. The crab rangoon is so good - little purse pocket presentation, hot and delicious. Someone else had the rock fish and raved - crab fried rice was a big hit - pork noodle soup look devine and the pork stir fry with basil tasted great! The gentlemen that runs the register/takes orders was helpful and attentive and a real asset to the business. The new owner Tony is really nice and also has another Thai restaurant in Ashland - you can tell this is his passion. I would go back for that tilapia dish again!
excellent Thai cuisine and services. highly recommended...

The best Thai food I have ever try the service amazing . In love with the food and the people Food
We thought this place was excellent! We ordered a little bit of everything and not only was the food really great but Master Danny was super friendly and wonderful with our son. It was just one of those places you never forget. Parking: We parked on the street right outside. Kid-friendliness: Master Danny was SO good with our two year old
Super friendly staff, comfortable vibe inside, and the food keeps getting better and better, apparently there is a new chef.. this has become a pretty regular staple when my boyfriend and i are looking for a good place to get thai food we can count on. this restaurant stands out among other thai places in richmond we have been, for takeout or dine-in.. i recommend!!!
such delicious food and everyone there was so nice and attentive. i think we found a new place to go to every week
I was looking for some tasty Vegan options in downtown Richmond, and was so lucky to find Thai Studio! The staff was very courteous and attentive, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Crispy Spring Roll appetizer, Drunken Noodles w/ Tofu & Veggies entree, and the Chai-Aroon Mixed Berry smoothie. Everything was very fresh and bursting with flavor. I ordered a Level 3 of spiciness for my Drunken Noodles and it was a perfect amount of heat! I will be returning to Thai Studio every time I stay in Richmond. It s now my go-to Vegan option! I can t wait to try all the other dishes
We came from Utah and looking for a restaurant nearby and stumbled upon Thai Studio. Hands down the best Thai food I have ever put in or around my mouth. I got the Lomein noodles with chicken and the sauce was unreal. The owner and the staff were amazing and very welcoming. I would give this experience a 12 out of 10.
Truly the MOST INCREDIBLE Thai food I have EVER HAD! The owner was so kind and chatted with us for bit, too! Normally- spice level isn t enough. I got the Pad Thai with a level 4 and it was PERFECT!!!! This place is a MUST! 12/10 recommend!!!
This used to be the best Thai in Richmond. Not sure if ownership or management has changed but the quality of food is nothing like it was a year ago. The tom ka soup and all of the curries no longer resemble the traditional, rich, Thai dishes that made this place special. They have now been replaced by watered down curries and soups with a hodge podge of random vegetables.
I ve been here a few times now, both dine-in and takeout. Every single time, it s been hot and delicious. This time, I ordered Drunken noodle chicken, it was delicious, I highly recommend Thai Studio Restaurant!
UPDATE* A year ago I left a great review and we have returned consistently. Today, we ordered out and the food was overall absolutely terrible. Very disappointing!! I recommended for other people to come to this place and I will refrain from that. Maybe the cooking staff changed? But if you order several dishes and it s all not good - something is going on. The atmosphere was relaxing. The place is very clean and the staff is accommodating and friendly. The food was authentic, very delicious!! Highly recommend! I had Tom Kha, Spicy Basil Tofu and Mango Sticky Rice.
Food here is amazing. Master Dan is the best.
This place is a cozy nook in the city with delicious food and great service.
Total rip-off. Dishes (both curry and starters) are unusually expensive and small in quantity. Very frustrating. Definitely not worth the price. Try out Nisa Thai Asian or Crazy Thai if you wanna get better Thai food in RVA.
I can only remark on the food. Delicious!!! Food
Amazingly fresh, fast, and delicious Thai. Separate vegetarian menu with many vegan options. Try the Vegan Papaya Salad, you won t regret it. Vegetarian options: Vegan menu. Vegan Papaya Salad was one of the best I ve ever had.
Dropped for lunch. We were there 15 minutes before they closed for lunch (3-5 pm). They seated us and served us and were most welcoming. Owner/chef came out to our table an introduced himself and all the other members of the extended family! More than a warm welcome! Food was excellent and service was excellent, even if we were imposing on their own meal time. We are heading back for dinner with a family member for dinner this evening, so you know what we thought about our first visit! Jeanne & Gil. The Grey Gourmets
i had a lovely experience here at thai studio. the food was flavorful and delicious and the staff was very kind. this is my new go to for thai food in rva
Lovely
amazing pad see ew! first time trying thai food & i will absolutely be back! veggies were perfectly crispy, everything was well seasoned, and i have enough for lunch tomorrow.
I am a Thai food junkie. I am very picky, and Thai Studio is one of the best that I have experienced. I have been a person of habit and usually order my favorite two dishes - Pork Green Curry and Crispy Duck Basil. Both are excellent at Thai Studio. Thai Studio has been working hard to expand and improve their menu. Tonight, I decided to add some variety to my order. I ordered the Duck roll ( to die for!), the Crispy Prik Pow with Chicken, and the Pepper Stir Fry with pork. I should have branched out earlier. It was all so good. I have been and will continue to be a regular at this awesome Thai restaurant. Dont miss out!
Great people and a very cute restaurant. They have a great selection of dishes and the flavor is great. They also have convenient street parking for picking up.
Incredible good curry!
Ordered lunch here and a few hours later was doubled over with stomach pains and diarrhea. Do not eat here!! Awful food poisoning cost me hours of agony and vomiting.
I ve been frequenting this place for about a year now and have had yet to have a bad experience! Staff is always super friendly and the food is always incredibly flavorful. They don t compromise on spice at all! Plus their lunch prices are pretty affordable too. Best Thai in Richmond by far! If I were to recommend a dish, it d have to be the Stewed Pork, Especially with that marinated egg it includes. Delicious!
Absolutely fantastic. Best Thai food I ve ever had!
Food good but service and atmosphere need improvement.
On the website it says the spring rolls are vegetarian but when I ordered them I received a shrimp spring roll which I wasnt a fan of. The pad thai was good but calling a shrimp roll a spring roll is confusing and annoying. The fact that it contains shrimp should be in the name! When I order a spring roll I expect the classic definition of a spring roll that we all understand.
Remembering delicious Thai on a past Richmond trip at Patio Thai, Yelp directed us to Jackson Ward to another five star-rated Thai spot- Thai Studio. After eating a Sunday lunch here, we left a little disappointed. Its not as good as Patio Thai, but still worth a visit. Heres our experience: 1) Food: Most of the food was good. My green chicken curry was flavorful and the level two spice was just right. My six-year-old daughter loved the mild version. The mango and sticky rice was huge and good. However, the papaya salad was not spicy at all. 2) Space: Its a no-frills space with plenty of seating. A single restroom is in the back. 3) Service: The man who took our orders is very kind. Spacing between dishes was a little slow when the space wasnt crowded, but still overall good service.
Really nice little shop, uses the space well and the garage doors give it character. Food was very good, apps size on the smaller side but very good taste wise.
The best Thai food in Richmond! I get the pad Thai with tofu and it s perfect every time.
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Richmond has excellent Thai Food restaurants and this is one of the better ones. Food was excellent and the quality of service was good as well. Good amount of seating, but I can see it being very limited quickly on a busy day. Recommendations: Pad Thai.
Nice place. Good was on the sweeter side. Good service
Drunken noodles were amazing !
I didnt stay to eat. Im sure the food is good but for whatever, reason I lost my appetite.
Beware the medium spicy pad kee mao. Tastes more like Thai Hot to me (I had to pull out the milk ). But otherwise good. The app sample was delicious.
On our trip to VA we stumbled upon this cute little restaurant while searching for a decent meal. We were pleasantly pleased! The service was incredible and the food was absolutely delicious! Would definitely come back here on a return trip to Richmond Kid-friendliness: We came in with my 4 year old nephew, who is extremely active, and sometimes a little wild. They were understanding and accommodating
Food is excellent every time, everyone is so friendly. Definitely recommend, my go to Thai spot in Richmond
Wonderful service and food, best drunken noodles I ve ever had! I got level 5 spice and it absolutely lived up to expectations, I 10/10 recommend this place.
one of the tastiest thai food ive tried! everything on the menu is good! Food
I always get take out but I love this place. I have a strong love for family run businesses. Food is always solid and best bang for your buck.
Some of the best Thai food in Richmond! Food is so flavorful and the service is outstanding. Parking is also easy! I d highly recommend anyone who loves Thai food go here!
I got take out and IT IS SO GOOD! Definitely my new go-to Thai restaurant in Richmond!
The duck noodle soup was fantastic and I really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The Thai iced tea was refreshing and delicious.
Came for a quick bite while in the area. Very friendly staff who accommodated all my questions. Ordered the spring rolls. Delicious flavor with a hint of spice. Would ve liked more sauce on the side though.
Good eats
Master Dan made the experience amazing
Our friend told us to try this place and it was an okay experience. We were the only ones in there with our 1 year old daughter. Our waiter was nice. I didnt appreciate the owners family member coming by our table several times getting too close to our daughter. It s one thing to say nice things about her and admire her from a distance, but he gradually just kept getting closer and closer. Then he tried to hold her face so his forehead would touch her forehead. That was super inappropriate. It was weird and I didn t appreciate that. I had to put my hand up so he can back off. That s how close he was getting to her. No personal space whatsoever. As an owner of a restaurant, why would you have your family member just roaming around your restaurant anyways i was just trying to enjoy my lunch with my family and we left the restaurant feeling violated and uncomfortable. We won t be visiting again.
Ordered on Sunday Dec 10 crab fried rice with shrimp spoke to woman on phone said 15 min get there and owner said order not ready they don t do that dish anymore asked why the woman didn t tell me said English not good asked why not call back no reason given also said under new ownership no where on site says that or menu prices changed never offered to fix situation. I also ordered the crab fried rice he said shrimp extra $5 3 small small shrimp. Had ordered this dish before got 4 big shrimp $18.95 new price with shrimp & tax 31.00 I guess he felt a little sorry gave me a nasty drink for free. Will never order again. I live next door and will not order again
I come to eat at this restaurant regularly because of the price, taste and service. Its something that impresses me every time.
This was the best Thai food Ive had for a very long time! Always looking for good Thai, this is it. Fresh ingredients, incredible flavor.
Some of the best Thai food in Richmond! Placed a pickup order and it was done in no time. Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are killer. Staff is very friendly.
Great Curry and amazing customer service. Super clean restaurant, and staff went above and beyond for us and our kid. Worried about ordering so late and them closing so we ordered to go. They saw our baby and us eating outside and told us to come in and sit. Most places wouldnt take the time to care bc they were closing. This says a lot about them as restaurant owners. The food was so good, and we will definitely be back!
Delicious and reasonable price!
Real Thai food!! Teste is the best
Absolutely the best. Had the yellow curry (not pictured) with crispy chicken- AMAZING! Fried rice.. chicken dumplings, spring rolls (not pictured) and sexy shrimp.. delicious!!! The owner is so incredibly nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend eating in!
As real as it gets ! I recommend the Panang curry with beef 4 star spice level -Out of this world good. Great enviroment, Great people, Great food.
Finally, a Thai restaurant that is authentic Thai spice. Buyer beware, this stuff is HOT like Thai is supposed to be!
Im on a quest to find the best, spiciest drunken noodles in Richmond. Let me tell you - Thai Studio did NOT disappoint! Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, food was excellent! My favorite part is that I literally ask for Thai Hot every time I order Thai food, and 9/10 times it is not as spicy as it could be. I assume because the restaurant does not want to hear a customer complain about it being too spicy. But Thai Studio DELIVERED! Now is on my top Thai restaurants here in RVA! Please eat in - its a cozy environment!
I wanted to allow some time to pass before posting this just to be sure I wasn t reviewing this place from the altered state of awesomeness I was in yesterday. This is by far the best Pad Thai I ve had in Richmond and some of the best I ve ever had anywhere. Completely blew my mind! The service and atmosphere were also incredible. This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in RVA!
1st time trying Thai and I absolutely loved it! I had the fried crab and shrimp rice and was extremely tasty! The food was fresh and the mango sticky rice desert was absolutely delicious. Definitely a 10 star for me but we can only rate 5. Consider me a regular!
Amazing food! Fresh rolls were great !
Was really excited to try this place. I got the curry fried rice with pineapple and pork and it was...flavorless. maybe a hint of msg (not a knock msg is awesome!) With the tomatoes being the most flavor in the entire dish. It was perplexing and incredibly disappointing. My partner got a chicken dish with a spice level of 3. He really enjoyed the spice. He couldnt taste past it to determine how much flavor his dish had but that was definitely partially on him The texture of my dish was fine and I will likely recook it and add in some spices at home. All in all a confusing experience and a bit of a let down considering all the top reviews this place has We ordered take out.
Ordered delivery and it was some of the best Thai I ve ever had. Everything was so fresh and the pad Thai wasn t super greasy which is hard to find. Can t wait to try in restaurant if it was this yummy delivered!
Ive ordered food here 4 times. The first time I thought this was my new favorite Thai restaurant and recommended it to all of my friends and colleagues. Since then, Im not sure what happened. Twice I ordered the Thai iced tea and twice I never received it- although could be the fault of the delivery driver, the restaurant should do a better job of ensuring that the drivers receive drinks for orders. The first time I ordered the Studio fried rice- the chicken was delicious chunks of meat- perfectly battered and cooked. Ive ordered it 3 more times and the chicken has gotten worse each time. The second time I ordered it there were several pieces of chicken in it that were hardened and inedible. Third time even worse. I ordered it again last night for the fourth time and every single piece of chicken was completely hard and chewy and entirely overcooked with no meat or anything resembling chicken. Im not sure if they switched to thin strips of chicken since my first visit or someone is just doing an awful job of cooking it- the sauce is so tasty but now its so hard and chewy nobody could enjoy it. The rice was delicious though. Every noodle dish Ive gotten from there has been delicious as well. Every curry, every appetizer- simply scrumptious. My other biggest complaint is the inconsistency with the spice levels. The first time I ordered a hot dish and a medium dish and the medium dish was hotter than the hot dish. The third time I ordered a mild and a medium dish and the medium was hotter than anything Ive ever eaten in my life. Every bite had heaps of chili flakes caked on. It was so delicious though I tried to power through. Last night I ordered a mild and a medium. The medium was still a little too spicy for medium, but nothing like last time. Im not afraid of spice by any means, but the inconsistency is just too much here. I will give this place one more try before I give up on it and I will change my review to 5 stars if things have improved, but as for now Im a little disappointed in my once favorite Thai restaurant.
Blah. Whatever was going on with the flavoring it wasn t very good. Saw lots of great reviews and I just don t get it. The simplest dish- Pad See Few- and it was just pretty flavorless. Dried out my mouth. Oh well. Think it s just more of a bland college spot that was close to my hotel by the campus.
Wow is a great way to describe this restaurant. We were in town for a wedding and love Thai food so we did a quick search and came across Thai Studio and it s excellent ratings. From the moment we entered, we were impressed. The place was clean and soothing. The staff friendly and attentive. Then the food came and it was the best thai food we ve had in a decade. And we eat thai every other week so we recognize quality (and quantity). Their appetizer sampler was delightful and our meals tasty and plentiful. We will drive to eat here again. Highly recommend!!!
We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to walk over for dinner. Nice clean place with friendly host, timely service, and good food. My husband ordered his food at a level 3 spicy and he said it was a nice heat level. We all agreed we would go back.
This was my first time trying this spot. Glad i did. Spicy level was correct. Food was fresh and very good. I would recommend this place. Staff was very pleasant. Pad Thai was very good.
The restaurant was well lit and clean. I appreciate that the friendly cashier wore a mask. I ordered drunken noodles to-go and the whole dish was gluten free without needing any substitutions or omissions. My food was ready quickly, and the dish had a good ratio of noodles to beef and vegetables. They forced a plastic fork on me, but disposable chopsticks are available from a container on the far left of the counter. I asked for a 4 on the spice scale of 1 to 5, the man who was taking my order made a surprised face, and what I received could generously be rated at a 1. I wanted very spicy and I asked for very spicy, but I got food that was spiced for a small toddler just starting to eat solids. I highly value when staff can take my order down correctly, so I will not be back.
Delicious, kind staff
Best Thai food I ve had in a very long time. I am a trucker and I eat all over and I highly recommend coming here to eat this delicious food! The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Everything we had was excellent! Spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, clearly just rolled. The chicken larb, Tom ka soup, and papaya salad clearly fresh and flavorful. Awesome Massaman Curry was good-tastes like cinnamon roll chicken with hint of spice on rice. Got to pick our level of spice. Excellent service. Lovely neighborhood vibe.
Sexy shrimp yasssd indeed
I just have to say this is my top 2 fave Thai places in Richmond. So amazing and great friendly staff.
So freggin goooood! Pineapple fried rice is on point, fresh rolls are amazing, and tried my first curry puff and wow. My 18 month old was introduced to Thai from here! He approves of it all!
I found a bug in my food!!!
Before this place opened we weren t loyal or picky when it came to getting Thai, we d rotate between the same 4 solid restaurants. The last 6 times we ve gotten Thai it s been from here, and it will stay that way. Great food, service, and portions; most importantly they are consistently great.
The food here was amazing you can taste the flavor in every bite. I would come again
Delicious!!!! Get the masahman
Got takeout tonight- food was delicious, ready quickly, and employees were nice. Would definitely eat here again!
Stewed pork is incredible and its one of the few places Ive seen it outside of Thailand. Other Thai staples are very solid too
SUCH amazingly great food and prompt service. Love this place!!!
Best Thai I ve had in Richmond! Everything I ve had has been wonderful
Fantastic! Get the stewed pork and try not to drink the broth straight from the bowl. It s too good to resist. Thankfully, the staff enjoys seeing their guests tip their bowls and encourages it. Authentic and friendly, stop in and dine!
Friendly staff, COVID friendly, and delicious food from appetizer to entree to dessert! Can t wait to go back again.
Things I LOVE: a friendly staff, supporting local businesses & eating delicious food. Enter: Thai Studio in Jackson Ward. This family owned spot opened 4 days ago on 2nd Street (just past E. Clay, before you hit Southern Kitchen. The prices are SO affordable..I ve eaten there twice, both times getting an appetizer & meal & haven t paid over $16. Tons of vegan & vegetarian customizable options & the curries are fantastic. This spot is still new & they ve already hit their stride making amazing food! You re welcome :)
Authentic, delicious and affordable Thai food!! The chef knows what he is doing!! Can t wait to go back again for more yummy Thai food this week. Keep up the good work!!
I ordered a vegetable fried rice and a order of spring rolls and the food was delicious and fresh. I shall return .
Food was delicious and the Thai tea was fantastic! The service was polite and prompt and sweet. My friend and I enjoyed our meal and felt the food had an authentic taste when compared to other Thai restaurants we ve visited. We both agreed we would come back for more and have already planned our next date night. If anyone has had or gets the fried banana for dessert, please tell me how it was. I was satisfied with the generous portions of protein with my meal, I forgot to order dessert .
we wers standing outside looking at the menu when the owner came outside and handed us 20% off coupons! how could we not go in! This place is some of the best, authentic Thai food in the area. The service is wonderful and the owner Tom is fantastic and down to earth. I highly recommend going here before the end of October ! We got the chicken satay (didnt take a picture), pad see ew, and sexy shrimp. Everything was outstanding and was blasted with so much flavor! We will be returning very soon.
I found this restaurant from a RVA foodie group on Facebook and am elated I did. I am currently training for a bodybuilding competition and was BLESSED with a cheat meal from my coaches. They told me to refuel hard on carbs and all I could think about was some quality, spicy pad thai. Well Thai Studio did not disappoint. I called my order in ahead, asked to pick it up at a later time, and boy was it ready and smelling fragrant when I arrived last night. I wish we could have dined in because the space was beautiful and clean. I got a Seafood Pad Thai (level 3) and Spring Rolls. We also had a side of brown rice and my boyfriend got a Chicken Pad Thai (thai hot) which, he said, was actually thai hot (he is half-korean and judgey on spicyness). PLEASE go try out Thai Studio. You wont be disappointed! I am so excited to go back and try some drunken noodles and sexy shrimp!
Fantastic! The panang curry was incredibly flavorful and spicy, the Pad Thai was just as it should be. Really delicious, very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Had an amazing dinner there tonight. The Thai Tea was delicious as well the appetizer sampler. My s/o had the crispy duck basil, amazing flavor. I had the stewed pork noodle soup, it was very similar to pho but with a much more flavorful broth! Highly recommend this place for anyone who loves Thai food as they have a lot of unique options compared to other restaurants in the area.
Very good Thai food, certainly a cut above your regular pretty good Thai food. Quick service, quality food, and cheap prices. My new go-to for Thai in Richmond.
We had an excellent lunch here! Superior service and amazing food! Definitely a new favorite spot.
Every dishes taste delicious and authentic! Highly recommended!!
Delicious! Pad see ew and curry puff are flavorful and filling. Love the sauce on the pad see ew. Cant wait to come back to try their other dishes. Tom is very friendly and the food came out quickly. Would recommend!
So happy Jackson Ward finally got a Thai spot and its so dang tasty!! My friend and I were walking by last night and checked out their menu posted in the window. Someone (maybe the manager?) came out and gave us a coupon to check it out since they re new. And OMG new favorite Thai place! Everything was delicious and HUGE portions. I didn t even get any pictures cause I dug in so quickly lol. Definitely recommend if you re in the neighborhood. :)
Have you ever seen the anime food wars? Think of that when you eat the Pad Thai, so good
Got Togo and everyone there was super sweet. She said, you ll be back and she is right haha. Everything was delicious and I m stoked that I ve found my new Thai spot!!! Do yourself a favor!!!
Best Thai food weve had in RVA! We tried the Massaman Curry and Tom Kha soup. Both were absolutely fantastic. Perfectly spiced, perfectly spicy. Very reasonably priced too. Well definitely be back!
New place - really good fried rice.
I ve never written a Google review before but this place is so delicious and new to Jackson Ward so I feel that it s necessary to spread the word about how amazing dinner was. Truly the best Thai food I ve had in Richmond. 10/10 recommend!!!
Best crispy duck in richmond. Thank you
everythings authentic thai foods. good price, good service !! I will come back again for sure
Great tasty food at reasonable prices, will heat to your request. Great attentive wait staff. Fantastic Chicken Pad See Ew and homemade Kanom Jeeb dumplings.
We were in town for a conference and we absolutely loved this place! We were here for only 3 days and we came twice it was so delicious! The food was all high quality and the service was wonderful! The owner is very kind. They do have a spice range of 1-5. I will say that if your spice tolerance is low, Id keep to 1 or 2. Great flavor though!
Some of the best and freshest Thai food. Prices are a bit much, but worth it. Within walking distance to the convention center.
Tons of chicken and veg in my stir fry and also I asked for spicy and it WAS spicy! All delish and fresh and will definitely be visiting again.
never had a bad experience here!
Best Thai in Richmond. Cute little quaint spot in Jackson Ward. Staff is so friendly. The Basil Fried Rich is incredible and the Masaman Curry is my other favorite. Flavors are perfectly balanced with sweetness and spicyness. So happy they re here
Never eaten here before. But the people here are super cool! Look forward to tryin some from this place, but till then thanks for being so super cool yall! Chow :D
Excellent take out! I moved to town 7 months ago and have been on the hunt for my go-to Thai spot (this is very important to my overall quality of life). Ive tried a few places in town that were good but not stellar. Thai Studio tonight was STELLAR. Green curry amazing savory flavor with just the right spicy punch, same with the drunken noodles. Pineapple fried rice was perfect for the kiddos who cant handle spice (and lovely for us to steal a couple bites of as well). Easy, speedy take out. Official my go-to spot. Thanks, Thai Studio! Kudos!
This was my first time eating Thai food because Im usually just a simple traditional eater. However when I tasted the food that Top prepared I knew right away that I had found a new love for a different food. You must try this resturant because the food is 1st class! Try it and see for yourself.
