My wife and I went for the first time last night. They didnt seem that busy but the wait was an hour. Unfortunately they dont take reservations. They should probably change that as people arent going to wait that long for food. To many other options to choose from. Anyways, the food was very good as was our server (Jackie I believe her name was). Also, I am in a wheelchair. Most of their tables are bar stool tables which doesnt work for me. They need to get some more lower tables. Wheelchair accessibility: Leaves a little to be desired as they only have a couple of lower tables. Would not recommend for someone in a wheelchair.

This place right here is phenomenal. Just a low key atmosphere eating establishment with real good food. The creativity and flavors come together to make this food so delicious. I could eat here everyday. Definitely in my top 3 favorite restaurants in town!!!

Something different! Food was good, a couple mistakes were made but fixed right away! Pricing was very inexpensive compared to other sit down restaurants. There was a wait on Sunday at 2pm, but we sat at the bar. We tried the lunch side which was more like brunch. We shouldve checked the supper menu.

This place is unbelievably good. Visiting RVA for an overnight trip and stopped in during a rainstorm an hour before closing. They welcomed us with open arms. Reasonably priced, super friendly service, and the food was absolutely delicious. One of the most satisfying meals my wife and I have had in recent memory. We are in love with this place. Had the braised short ribs and the pulled pork salad and it was more than enough for 2 people.

I love this place. Excellent comfort food in excellent portions. Pricing is reasonable. Staff is awesome. They are always booked fully on Sundays so be sure to reserve ahead for the weekends.

I went here with my wife to meet some family I hadnt seen in years. We talked for a while before ordering and the waitress was kind and attentive while not pushing us to order.

Fantastic service and fast considering how busy they were @1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was polite and helpful, bathrooms super clean as well. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! The cocktails were awesome too. 10/10 recommend!

My new favorite spot! Lots of menu options but not overwhelming. The food is amazing. Every plate at our table was nearly licked clean- it was THAT good. The Kickback Mule was perfection. Excited to go back!

The patio is wonderful.. its a beautiful environment, and being able to smell the smoker makes it even better as the meat smell delicious. Its a very relaxing spot. The food was delicious. I really enjoyed the pulled pork, although it was a little vinegary for me. It was still delicious. The candied bacon is very good. The bacon burger was delicious. They had great pimento cheese on the farm table appetizer. The bartenders make an amazing lemon drop. I definitely look forward to going again, I would like to try the brisket.

Regret not taking pictures but went here on a whim for brunch. Sat at the bar. Drinks were great. Food was delicious. Had chicken and waffles. Definitely recommend trying the different cocktails. Beautiful place inside and out on the patio. Bartender, Rachel, was great, personable and a great host. Parking: Not sure if they have a lot or not. We parked on the street.

Great Food and Great Service this restaurant is a MUST TRY if you re in downtown Richmond.

Stopped in with my family from Florida while avoiding hurricane Milton. The food was perfection. The service was even better. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The place itself is welcoming and warm. Most of all, the kids were happy to be able to order chocolate chip pancakes at 730pm. Check this place out, its an absolute gem. Youll be able to find something delicious for anyone at any time of day.

Too expensive and food was not that great at all. Atmosphere was ok but do not suggest going. Staff wasn t very friendly and overall an extreme let down. Will not visit again! Suggest you save your money for better quality and reasonably priced food.

Really good brunch over several visits. Today was a special, an omelet with smoked salmon, herbs, and cream cheese. Yum! Dietary restrictions: There are some gluten-friendly dishes, and some that are not gf, but have options to make them gf.

Nice Southern style food with a cozy atmosphere and indoor/outdoor sitting

Started out with great apps and service. But then the waitress forgot about us. Entrees took 50 minutes to come out after we finished our apps. No drink refills and when we asked she seemed surprised. When entrees came out, half of them were cold. Mac and cheese congealed in the bowl, fries were cold and waitress no where to be found. We were a group of 7 that waited and hour to be seated. But we were ok because they had such good reviews. The best part was the cocktails and mocktails we had. But still not worth the 20% tip that was automatically added to the bill. We spent $250 and were disappointed.

Visited for the first time this weekend and was not disappointed. On street parking and a parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Prepare to wait for a table, or get lucky and you can walk in and sit at the bar.My husband enjoyed the smoke brisket, eggs and potatoes and I went for a gfo market entree. Yummy food, good service!

Nice outside sitting

Beautiful bar area. We stopped in for lunch on a road trip. Nashville hot chicken sandwiches are very popular right now. This one takes the cake! The perfect amount of heat and the pickled onions added a nice touch.

Our waitress Maddie was kind, attentive, and pleasant to talk to! The wait was a little long but nothing crazy for a busy restaurant and worth the wait in my opinion!

Fabulous spot to sit outside on a pretty day. Good number of Gf options, and the food was tasty. Service was a bit slow and our waitress rarely checked on us, but overall it was good and I plan to return.

Everything that glitters aint gold!!! ate here on a day trip, worst spinach artichoke dip to date, too much cream cheese and it was served cold! The bbq sundae did not deliver- a pile of meat & premade stuff. The Mac and cheese really made me sad and the collards may have been made by someone with no collard green experience because we just tasted the vinegar & salt!! Don t sell it if it s not homemade and baked!! For what it s worth nice atmosphere, plenty of vibes, service wasn t too shabby this would be a drink or happy hr spot!!

I got the meatloaf and our table shared oysters, fried pickles and pork rind nachos. Others in our group got shrimp and grits and various sandwiches. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere and staff were great as well. Definitely recommend.

Take out just a very ordinary messy sloppy burger and soggy fries. How can they mess this up? Geez come on. Overpriced forsure.

I came in today 9/2 & there was a low wait . We chose to sit at the bar . My husband ordered shrimp & grits ( which he said was good ) & a waffle ( he said it was dry ) , I ordered the short rib with Mac & cheese ( appetizer) & crab dip . Short rib had no flavor & the mac&cheese was running . No flavor , no seasoning just bland . The crab dip looked like cottage cheese . It had more cheese in it than crab meat . The lady who brought the food out , dropped the plate on the table with half of my pita bread went on the bar counter off the plate & the small dish of crab dip was tipped over on the counter off the plate . The drinks were good but it was so much ice in the cup you hardly had a drink . I sent both dishes back to to kitchen & was asked if I would like to order something else . I ordered the wings ( buffalo ) after about a 10 min wait of no wings , a lady tells me that the kitchen is backed up & she would take all my food off the bill . By that time we were ready to go so she said that if the wings were done before I left she would box them for me free of charge as well. The wings came out about 8mins later . The wings were ok but tasted just like pickles the pickle taste was so overpowering it took over the buffalo flavor . Meanwhile as I was sitting at the bar , I noticed how unsanitary they are . Flies all over the garnishments the were using to garnish the drink cups . So disgusting no one covered it & they continue to use the same garnishment on cups they were serving their customers with . I will never come back to this establishment after this . This was my second time here & it will be a hard pass in the future

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always scrumptious. The service is great and super friendly. I like the atmosphere because it is busy with music in the background, but I can still hear the conversation at the table.

Everything is great here! Fried Oysters are a hit! The Chicken and Waffle ws everything! Sit at the full service bar, Bartenders are the best. Parking: Park in the lot beside the building. LUNCH.SUPPER will validate your parking. I personally have never paid for parking because the lot is always open and free when I frequent. Kid-friendliness: Open area and seating comfortably designed for families. Wheelchair accessibility: All on one level, roll in! Staff are super supportive and helpful.

We enjoyed our brunch here at Lunch and Supper. There was a wait but it went by quickly while exploring their garden areas. The drinks were wonderfully made and our meal was delicious. Was here for my bday , wait was about 45 mins but definitely worth it I had the crab cakes omgggg so good & Mitch had great service very nice & friendly.

Great service food and atmosphere

Went for a pre-wedding happy hour with friends, spent roughly an hour inside. Bar staff was busy but wait staff wasn t so busy, on a Saturday at 4-5:30pm there was several tables and booths open, yet staff only came by to take orders and drop off the food and drink orders once. Not very attentive, however kind, and helpful when our server did come. All alcoholic drinks are expensive per usual, the food appetizers were fair priced and reasonable in size. My wife got 1 canned bud light and I got 2 canned nonalcoholic beers and our bill was $25.00 without tip. We will not be returning. Not out of any negative reason, in my opinion you just don t get what you pay for and it takes way too long. Parking is extremely limited unless you find a pay-to-park spot up the road.

Very fun place with delicious twists on Southern classics. Portions are huge, service is friendly and the vibe is very chill. Oh and they are dog- friendly on the patio. The farmers appetizer board is outstanding, as are the fried oysters. Everything we tried was good. A great spot to meet friends or take a group because the menu has something for everyone.

Lunch.Supper! was a delightful experience. It operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, so no reservations are accepted. We arrived around 11am and were seated quickly. The interior is charmingly decorated, but we chose to sit outside where there was ample shade and cooling fans. I had the shortie bowl, featuring grits topped with tender braised ribs, jalapeños, and a sunny side up egg it was absolutely delicious. Our server was attentive and efficient, ensuring everything was served in a timely manner. Overall, a great meal and pleasant atmosphere.

Ill be honest, this is a place I used to frequent all the time but kind of stopped going for a few years. We came in yesterday and had a party of six. The wait was an hour which is totally understandable. Our server (cant remember his name sorry) was super attentive and awesome at his craft. We had a child with us and he was very patient and nice. I got the blt special for the mayo / tomato summer thing . It was the best blt Ive ever had. We will totally be back sooner than later.

Its a good neighborhood spot. Tee-shirt, shorts, and flip-flops. This was my second visit. Food is very well presented and tasty. It aint bar food for sure. Noise level is tolerable and parking is excellent. Good place for a casual date or out of town family you want to impress a little. You know, instead of IHOP or Fridays. Brunch for 2 was about $60+tip.

This place is off the charts amazing. Not the usual barbecue place. They have brisket, and other meats, but the flavors they serve along with it are unique. They hit your tastebuds with a kick of something idk of and then you get the savory smoked brisket. I am so happy that i was taken here. Do bot pass up the opportunity to stuff yourself with this crazy awesome restaurant! Vegetarian options: Great veggies and selection therewith.

We came with a big party (7 people and a dog) on a busy Friday night. They were forthcoming that there would be a long wait, but it was already 8:30 so we decided to wait since we had our dog and had to sit outside. After about 20 min they were kind enough to take one of their big picnic tables used for waiting and sat us for dinner even though that wasnt their usual rule and only had one outside server. We were so appreciative since we were worried about finding a place to eat close to 9pm with a big party and a dog. The service was perfect and the food was so good -- loved the boneless fried chicken and the cheesy grits were so yum. And they even brought our dog a big bowl of water The vibe outside was stunning, too. We had a great night and will totally be back.

This place has AMAZING food. Its got a great menu. The wait is worth it. This would be on my top 3 food places to go to in Richmond and definitely #1 for brunch. The atmosphere is VERY loud, so if youre sensitive, I would almost recommend earplugs. The music was loud and everyones voices were louder, it was a loud place. The bathroom was clean with high sinks, so if youre tall, youll really get a kick out of that. For those curious, the wait was well over an hour or so, but it didnt feel long because of their outdoor setup with games and the bar. Update: Went back, and it wasnt anywhere near as loud. Thanks for listening! ;) Food was as fantastic as expected, and this time, we made sure to take home leftovers! YUM!!! Update #3: This time I went with a BIG group and they seated us in under 30 mins which is awesome and they really renovated and seemed to have expanded the place. The food is STILL excellent!!!! Highly recommend!! Parking: Expect to pay for parking. $7 for 3 hours, $2 for every extra hour.

Had the Pickled & Fried chicken sandwich - OUTSTANDING. Hot, juicy, topped with bacon, cheese & a homemade sauce. What more could one ask for?!? Nice choice of sides - went with the mac & cheese. Was tasty and a nice portion - just wish it had been a little hotter. Good choice of beers. Excellent service at the bar. Relaxing vibe. Really like this place!

Everyone at the table was able to order something they liked and were craving: all day brunch, fried chicken dinner, fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs we had such a great time! Really great service as well. Boneless fried chicken and Fried Green Tomatoes pictured, both very yummy.

First time Here. I had the crab dip, wings and cheese grits. I really liked the little bread chips. A few were over cooked but it was good. So was the crab dip. The wings were a little under cook. I had to get another order and have them cooked hard. That order came out hot and better. Just lacked any seasoning. The cheese grits were very heavy with cheese and the grits were under cooked. The cheese should not over power the grits. The other person had the brisket topped with egg. May try this place again because I want to try the shrimp and grits just hope they dont over power the grits with cheese.

GREAT food for sure. Giving them a bad rating because they pass on a 3% credit card fee to YOU without saying a word! This trend has REALLY got to stop! I was sure after COVID we were going to a (almost) cashless society.... Guess not! Just STOP taking credit cards if youre going to do this. Or post an obnoxious sign at the door so people can boycott you. Ridiculous!

Great experience having supper at LUNCH.SUPPER! The cocktails were tasty. They could have used a bit more alcohol but still very nice. Friendly staff all around. I had the BBQ buffet entree and it was one of the best things Ive ever eaten. There were six or so foods all piled up and the flavors blended perfectly. Nothing overwhelmed the others. Very highly recommend this dish. Kids had fried chicken, fries, and Mac and cheese. They were happy. The other diner had a great spicy fried chicken sandwich. We sat outside under a sun shade which was pleasant. Great meal! Parking: We found a street parking spot right away but I could see parking being challenging depending on the time of day.

The food was great. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes to be seated. Our server was busy, we had to look for him instead of him just checking in on us. Parking: The spaces were small in the paid parking lot. Many folks didn t know how to park between the lines. I found a nice spot on the street as soon as I arrived.

Food was pretty good, our waitress was pretty good as well. I m not sure if this was a misstep on the hosts part or what, but I would recommend in the future letting people know that there is an indoor waiting area. There s no outdoor waiting area besides two benches with barely any shade. Especially if the person mentions the party has toddlers, and the temperature is above 90, I think it s worth a mention to keep an eye on the status of the indoor waiting area. We wouldn t have even known about it unless my sister in law hadn t changed my nephew. They didn t come outside to check or offer water. I would really stress that just gives a bad taste. Saw two parties who were outside waiting with us leave because it was too hot. Almost a grave mistake, thankfully the food made up for it. The meat loaf is ridiculous, it would be a regular order if I was in the area.

Came with a group of friends to reunite and celebrate the birth of one of our babies! It was such a great experience, perfect for families and people of all ages. Delicious food and drinks, literally the best spinach dip I ve ever had. Beautiful outdoor area perfect for photos!

Update: Still my favorite place in all of Richnond. Been here a dozen times or so and its still fantastic. They recently moved to a bigger space around the corner so that might alleviate the demand a bit, especially in the warmer months when the large patio is open. Ive only been here twice, but both times were excellent. The food is inventive and tasty without being pretentious or expensive. The sampler platter of meats and piemento cheese was so good we got it again the second time. Be prepared for a wait if you show up at busy times, this is one of the best spots in Richmond. Only gripe would be better pacing of the courses. It is a cardinal sin for the main course to show up when youve barely ate half of the appetizer. It was hard to eat both and food started cooling off. But that wont deter us from returning again and again.

I do not even know where to start with how bad it was. I walked in the door and sat at a table for over 10 minutes before I was approached by the girl working behind the bar. Our food was dropped off by someone else and that was the last we saw of our waitress. We had to physically ask for the check because God only knows when she was going to come back around. The food was god awful. Extremely salty and thrown together in the worst way possible. Pimento cheese was the worst I have ever had and the chicken breast that I ordered for $21.00 was only about an ounce with about 2 hours of fried breading on the outside of it. I say this so often now that it is getting old. No one has taste buds anymore . They go into a restaurant and support an idea and not what they serve. DEI and liberalism 101

Great food with a lot of options! The shorti bowl & chicken & waffles are pictured. I thought the shorti bowl was delicious & perfectly cooked! I heard the chicken & waffles were great too! Very laid back atmosphere with great service. I definitely will be returning.

Repeated customers that will never comeback!!! We asked the host for a table where we could use a high chair for our 9 month old son. Her response was that there were no tables were we could put a high chair. My wife and I decided that we were going to rush to eat since our son would have to stay in the car seat and on the floor. A table of four were ready to leave and we asked the host if we could have that table. Her response was that the table was for a bigger party. 3 minutes later after we got our table, the host puts a high chair on the table of four as seen on the picture. We were thinking that we were getting moved but we were wrong. Another family got the table of four that arrived after us. A family of 3 with a baby. The host was not professional at all since the beginning and we feel we were mistreated and possibly racially profiled.

Great place for a casual dinner and drinks. There are tons of great options and I have not had a bad entree yet. I have tried the boneless braised short ribs and the coop is on fire. Both were 10/10. Highly recommend and they serve breakfast all day!

First, I think their outside area is one of the most beautiful in Richmond. My husband and I are addicted to the meatloaf. Seriously, its the best meatloaf in Richmond. GET IT. Also, the both times weve been there, the service has been excellent.

I would like to start by saying I want to give nothing but good reviews..but I cant this time. First visit was ok with fellow nurses. Came by a few days later with my husband and I witnessed several waiters hugging rubbing vigorously and allowing dogs to lick them in their mouths and faces. It was a poor representation for food service providers. Neither washed their hands at the restroom right outside of the kitchen. As a nurse I found this to be in poor taste. It leaves me to wonder what happens in the kitchen. Sorry guys this was a major turn off. There was far too much rubbing, flying dog fur and being licked in the mouth and face for my liking. Im an animal lover also.

Staff was on point and the food was amazing. The short ribs were melt in your mouth tender, so flavorful. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The brussel sprouts were absolutely the best. Definitely going back.

Mimosas were delicious. Waiter was a doll. Long wait on a Sunday afternoon for brunch - expected of course, they don t take resys. Overall great spot. I ordered the short rib with mashed potatoes and Brussels. So so good. My friend got the crab dip/craft beer/biscuits and gravy with a side of deviled eggs. She loved it.

The place very clean in side and busy(because of the great food and customer service) our waiter was extremely attentive and gave was wonderful menu recommendations that didnt disappoint. The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We found out about it by a Google search for restaurants in Richmond and we hit jackpot! Madeline the waitress (I know I spelled your name wrong) was fabulous. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

One star because of one bad employee. If I were not a frequent customer I would have walked away tonight. The young man who was the HOST tonight was very rude. The host stand is located OUTSIDE--i approached the host stand to give him our name--he interrupted me and told me to back away. Im assuming it was for health reasons--Im in healthcare-- I was in no way too close to him and we are OUTSIDE--he was not wearing a mask if that was his concern. And by the way--if you feel someone is too close for your comfort zone--YOU can move your body away and take the reservation tablet with you--that is the beauty of a tablet--you can hold it in your hands and change your location. The ONLY function of a HOST is to greet customers with a smile and take their reservation --I know it is hard to find good help these days but this guy needs to find a job with no human interaction!!

truly phenomenal. huge menu and everything sounded so good, it was hard to decide! i got the chicken and waffles and added an over medium egg and it was PERFECT. juicy chicken, fried perfectly. you will not be disappointed!

We had a group of 10 after a show at the Altria theater, it didnt take long at all to be seated to enjoy their tasty fried chicken plate!

The service here was amazing. Once seated, Emily waisted no time ensuring we had all questions answered and promptly brought drinks out once we decided on what to order. When we ordered the food, the food was out within 10 minutes of us placing the order and tasted amazing. The atmosphere was calm and quiet with a variety of music playing. We sat on the patio with a nice breeze.

I ve never had a bad meal here. One of our favorite spots in Richmond.

Sadly over rated. A fine choice, just dont go out of your way.
