We stop here on a wim and we were very happy and surprised, the food was absolutely delicious the service friendly and very clean we will be back

Such an unfortunate experience, nothing you order comes with a side, over priced. At first it Looked like a small mom and pop restaurant but once I got it I was disappointed to find a long wait for food that wasnt really that good. Ordered 2 clubhouses to go just to find two toasted chicken sandwiches. Older reviews look soo good, sad to see what this place has become.

Had breakfast this morning (Aug 19, 2024) and I think it was the 2nd day they were opened - it was fantastic. We had been there many times before the new owners took over and it was a great experience - we ll definitely be back to try more items on their expansive menu. The young lady who waited on us (it was her 2nd day) was fantastic! So happy to see it s opened - long overdue. The renovated decor is top notch! Can t wait to go back! Stopped in for breakfast. Ordered 2 breakfasts that consisted of 2 eggs, bacon, home fries and one breakfast had extra sausage. I asked for crispy bacon and over hard eggs, my bacon was not crispy, one of the eggs was runny, we waited 44 minutes for our food, we watched people walk in after us and they received their food before us, we never got a sorry you food was late or anything of the sort. I would not recommend this place unless you want to wait almost an hour for a simple breakfast. I will never return to this place.

Thank you so much for the wonderful service yesterday when I came to pick up burgers for a take out lunch. The server was the best and she even brought water outside for my dog while I waited and the service was super fast. You guys are the best and the burgers were delicious! Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger and a veggie wrap. Kid-friendliness: It has nice sitting areas outside in the sun & shade. They also have a good selection of ice cream. Wheelchair accessibility: It would be very easy to navigate inside and out with a wheelchair or a walker but Im not sure about the bathroom as I didnt use it.

I made a stop for gas at the Flying J and I was referred to have a locals favorite, Poutine which it s only fries, cheese curls and gravy. We stopped at Crystal Beach Gateway since we saw that local vibe and we were looking for that kind of place. The locals there took the time to explain the recipe and it s history, made us feel welcome Our order was made fresh and quickly, and delicious

Ive tried this place with my family on a lovely evening. The server lady Brandi invited us in and provided us with great hospitality. She provided coloring books and crayons for my nephew. We ordered a couple of their signature items including the Godfather Burger. Everything was so delicious and we decided to try more items next time. I express my gratitude to the Crystal Beach Gateway staff for their delightful treat.

Great spot to get ice cream on your way out of town. The down town gets pretty busy. We had no wait here and the ice cream servicing were generous.

Driving through the area and stopped to get fish and chips. Very good! Coleslaw could use some work though. Service was excellent! Wife and I decided to eat outside as we had a pet with us and the weather was nice. They have tables and chairs available outside. I would definitely visit again!

First time there for most in our party. We had a variety of dishes, all got great reviews. Portion sizes were LARGE, prices very reasonable. The waitress was a hard working woman, serving and doing some prep work. Definitely a must visit again was most remarked as we departed.

My husband s scrambled eggs had bits of whatever was cooked in the pan earlier and his toast was drier than cardboard. Sausages were yummy and a good size. I had a piece of fried chicken - coating was bland and chicken was raw in spots. Our son thoroughly enjoyed his BLT and onion rings.

i was super excited to try this place out for the first time as i always thought the place was cute. Anyway, we walk in at 12:10 and the waitress (while walking past us) says can t get breakfast in a super rude tone of voice. Didn t even try to say hi or hello, nothing of the sort. We left because not only did she assume - don t know why she would - but we felt immediately attacked as soon as we walked in the door. Also just want to point out that Skip the Dishes says they have all day breakfast and so does their website.

Best burger I have had in a long time! Portions were so big I was not sure I could finish. All of that and excellent service, I will be sure to add this to my must stops when traveling down number 3 highway. Thanks for a great lunch!

Friendly staff, good service, they were out of what we originally ordered, but gave us time to look through the menu and offered some substitutes as well. Seemed like pretty new staff. But with a bit of patience while they learn and they will do great! Great homemade burgers!!

So second visit.. first experience was amazing - this time not great! Bits of coffee grind floating on top of the coffee in the cup. the fries super salty!!! I mean you could see the salt covered on the fries! The burger came to our table with a fly sitting on the bun - yikes! The sever said gross and walkes away! please let the customer put their own salt whatever on their food! . The burger was soggy- good but soggy! with all the mayo on it or whatever. and if the fly think happens server take the food back and at least replace the bun!!

Food was good but extremely tiny portions. Small omelettes, 12 small pieces of potatoes, and weak coffee. Service was friendly but extremely slow.

First time eating here, it looked nice from the outside but it wasnt. It took 40 min to get eggs and bacon and a hamburger. The Fries were over cooked and from where we were I could see the cook touch the bacon with her bare hands. Not wash and then touch the bun of my burger. While all of this the server seemed or not wonder why it took 40 minutes for our order.

Overpriced greasy eggs, bacon and sausage, an hour and fifteen minutes between ordering and eating, and a rude waitress, almost made 6 of us walk out. From a locals perspective - I want to like this place, but Im sorry to say Gateway is NOT a good representation of the high quality food or service that has become prevalent in Crystal Beach and Ridgeway. There are better, cheaper, higher quality breakfast/lunch spots within 5 minutes of this location.

Giant ice cream sign drew our attention. They didnt have ice cream though. Ahaha. Ordered some fries and a burger. Good quantity of fries and the burger was good as well.

We have been in 5 times throughout the summer as we are in Sherkston and when we come in we have had to wait for over an hour and a half for breakfast. When it arrives its cold. Unfortunately this is our last time eating here.

Not very impressed, there signs say they are open till 8 , and they had doors locked and said they have to be out of there by 8pm Not very good customer service since the new owners took over . We just wanted ice cream, And the girl that was there was very rude and had terrible customer service and had a bad attitude, We will never be back again

Homely ambience, relaxing to the soul. Wholesome breakfast and rustic decor with some lost in time pictures on the walls. This stopover made our day in the journey.

Parking: This location looks like a dump . The parking lot is brutal . Full of pot holes . Makes me wonder if ownership cares this little about the upkeep of the restaurant and premises , how much do they really care about anything else . First impressions are everything.

Burgers are great but took over half an hour after order placed and poutine was too salted. Server was super sweet and pretty also apologized for the wait.

Stopped by for lunch today the service food was excellent. My wife had the Clubhouse sandwich and I had the bacon cheeseburger, they were so good.

Tonight was tg first time Ive been here in a long time I usually order the burger and fries or chicken fingers (typical staple take out meal for me) tonight I ordered the Club Sandwich with fries and onion rings and OMG Real thick cut bacon Real roasted turkey nicely sliced tomatoes on Texas toast - by far one of the best clubs Ive had in years! The server took my order as it was busy I waited in my car to keep with covid regulations and the server brought my take out right to my car! I didnt catch her name but she was very pleasant! Ill def be going out of my way to come back here!!! (used to live in crystal beach now in Stevensville) well done everyone!!!

Ordered take out i ordered a burger with onion rings i wasnt overly impressed with my meal the burger meat tasted off like going bad

My family and I have eaten there 4 times in the past year. The first two visits were excellent, however the last two were not. Most recently on 21/08/27, three hamburgers were left uneaten because of strange smell and flavour. We informed the server and she agreed, but wouldnt take any money off the bill.

Fair food too salty of burger and just not good. Peameal bacon not good.

My partner and I use to love ordering the fish and chips on Friday nights as a nice treat. Last time we ordered it was not the greatest but we gave them a second chance. Well that was a mistake. Tried for 30 minutes to call and place our order however it continually went to voicemail. So he went right to the restaurant only to find out they had the phone purposely off the hook because they do not want to answer the phone. He orders the 2 piece fish and chips with gravy and she tried to charge him $30 when its $12 on Fridays. So he gets home we open our food and the fish was ok but the fact that there was maybe a small handful of fries is completely unacceptable. When. Trying to call and speak with the manager I get told they are not in and they will take my info and call me back but not today maybe tomorrow... They have officially lost our business.

Went to eat here one morning and not only was the service the pits, but I asked for ketchup to put on my potatoes and the taste was so gross I went into there tiny tiny washroom to throw up. The ketchup went sour and when I told the server she didn t seem surprised or didn t care to fix the issue. The amount of dust everywhere was ridiculous too. Looks like this place isn t taken care of at all. Needs a deep cleaning and better workers who care to talk with the customers instead of just sitting I the back talking to each other. Will not be returning to this place!!!

There was so much grease in my onion rings I was able to squeeze a tablespoon of grease out of just one. My burger pattie was a cheap frozen burger, McDonalds burger patties taste like sawdust but at least theyre edible.

Very disappointed. I ordered a shawarma wrap it came to me completely ripped up and barely even together. I found this kinda unprofessional. My order was wrong, along with my mother s. My father ordered wings and they were barely cooked, closer to undercooked. The restaurant was not visually busy. Very disappointed with my service tonight and I do not recommend. Dinner was a complete waste, I ended up making a new meal. Definitely the worst Father s Day dinner ever. I tried to review on Facebook 3 times to post pictures and it wouldn t let me. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Go somewhere else.

Over the past year, I came here weekly since my work is down the road. After being gone for 3 months due to COVID, I stopped by last week and the amazing staff remembered my order! Not only is the food delicious, but the servers are warm and friendly. Plus they have ice cream!

When you go to beach...... its good so stay here and spend a quality time with family... had delicious food here...

The only breakfast/lunch place that was open on an idle Wednesday. We were glad it had outdoor seating and very fast service. Portions are huge and prices are more than reasonable. Great little stop.

Sorry but Im of the belief when I go somewhere to buy a burger and fries they should be made from scratch, a box burger and bag fries just doesnt cut it for me. This requires little effort to prepare, first and last visit.

The fish is huge and thick with perfect batter . The burgers are real meat huge ask for goddaughter to get a smaller burger. They like to put too much ketchup, mustered and mayonaise on the burgers so unless you are eating it right away ask for them on the side .

Was my first visit at this place. Super clean, friendly affordable and had a family oriented run feel to it. Although we ate inside there was also plenty of picnic tables outside that would have made a great outdoor experience on a nice day. The Haddock as well as the batter was great...cooked perfect and not greasy! Will return again at some point to try other menu items!

Driven past this place many times (always busy). Finally had the opportunity to check it out. Menu is very extensive, and the offer All Day Breakfast. Waitress was very friendly and outgoing. Mentioned that everything was made in house. I Had the All Day Breakfast (was good). Was good, my Mom tried thier Coconut Wing Basket. When the food arrived, the Coconut shrimp was raw. The chicken didnt look good at all. Mom mentioned it to the waitress and she quickly replied thats strange, the girl always food checks everything. Mom wasnt impressed. The waitress offered to refire the order. Mom refused as she was grossed out. The waitress the returned back a few mins later and said i took 10% off your order. We mentioned that it may be the oil in the fryer. After that, I finished my coffee and paid the bill. Much to my surprise I noticed a sign showing its Wing day. Probably explains the strange after taste. For the most part, I wasnt impressed and probably will never return.

The misses and I eat breakfast here every weekend. Usually the service and food is outstanding, Today ( Nov 1/20 ) the food was terrible!!! Raw bacon and home fries... disgusting!!! I inquired as to what happened.... they have a new cook... if u like your food cooked, dont eat here!!!

Had a cheeseburger today and it was hands down one of the best burgers Ive had, also very clean and excellent staff.

Went for breakfast and the price was so inexpensive and the portion was great and most importantly tasted excellent. The waitress was super friendly and we are looking forward too another visit in the near future. PS they also offer an amazing fried chicken.

My favorite place to eat in Niagara by far. The food is second to none. The staff are like family. There isnt a place that I enjoy more than Crystal Beach Gateway. Walking in and seeing the wonderful smiles of the staff is always a pleasure. If you go during a slower time, you get to speak to the staff a bit and learn they are sincerely wonderful. Add in the fact that they all strive to give you great food, and believe me they do, its a pleasurable experience each time.
