Changing menu focused on local products. Menu that can suit the gourmet as well as those limited to poutine or a burger but in a pimped version. This restaurant is renowned for its revisited French and Quebecois-inspired cuisine. I particularly liked the place for its seafood. Skate wing, tuna steak, etc. Les Affamés offers a variety of dishes, ranging from fresh fish and meal salads to more refined dishes but also fasdtfood with the famous burger from Ferme Fournier. The restaurant is also vegetarian friendly and offers gluten-free options. I would like to highlight the quality of the dishes, the friendly service and the value for money for this type of restaurant. It s a great place for a pleasant dining experience in Rimouski. Dietary restrictions: The restaurant is also vegetarian friendly and offers gluten-free options. Kid-friendliness: May be suitable for lunch but not in the evening.

A good address for desperate hungry people, quality cuisine made from fresh products and respected in their cooking. Dont hesitate to take the detour. A real delight, like a piece of France in Gaspésie. A real taste journey.

I just dont understand the hype surrounding this restaurant...?! Its correct, nothing more. Although we had booked in advance, we were placed at a table directly in the entrance of the restaurant - with the added bonus of standing customers who were quite in our bubble. Quite unpleasant thank you. The menu is uneven; dishes with rather sophisticated tastes rub shoulders with others whose quality, the presentation and quantity really leave desire... Our group of 4 people, we had the impression of having eaten in 4 different restaurants. Fortunately, the waitress was very nice and cheerful. But it was an overall disappointing experience, especially for the price!

The atmosphere is warm with subdued lighting and pleasant background music. The waitress was lovely. We had two starters, the sweet potato ravioli were incredible, and everything in season! The front would benefit from better reflecting the really pretty and pleasant interior :)

When we went, we hadnt booked, mistake, it was very full but they allowed us to eat on the terrace even though it was a little cold. And it was definitely worth it! Wow the food was sick!!! The burger not worse and especially the gnocchi really impressive the sauce was stunning and the plate was heated which is lost in a lot of restaurants. The negative point is the little light in the room, too dark for me, I ate blindly. Just Wow! A restaurant that doesnt seem like it from the outside but once you get inside, when its time to serve, were talking! Very good service, delicious food. While passing through Rimouski, we stopped at Aux Affections, and it was a pleasant surprise. The dishes are succulent (small recommendation for the Tuna Tataki), the servers are attentive. Stopping to eat there is definitely worth it :)

Lives up to its reputation! Everything was absolutely delicious! For very affordable prices, and more generous portions than some photos seem to suggest. All guests, vegetarians and carnivores alike, were delighted. The beef scoter was excellent, tender but seared rather than boiled and still pink in the middle. The meal salads were extremely balanced and the beetroot arancini and tortellini were excellent too. Each little element of salad was surprisingly complex too, rather than just being a generic accompaniment (see especially the arugula for the beetroot arancini). What happiness!

We were on vacation in Rimouski and were looking for a good little restaurant, a little fancy. We booked there considering the high rating on Google of 4.8/5. A few minutes before going, we took the time to read the weak comments about the restaurant. We hesitated but decided to give them a chance because the comments this week were unanimous: delicious Finally, I can confirm that it was DELICIOUS! Certainly, the menu is not very large but it is varied and the number of choices is sufficient to make great discoveries and find plates rich in flavors. We opted for the following dishes which we loved; Beef scoter, fiddleheads as a starter and tuna tataki. Afterwards, we were tempted by the beetroot and goats cheese aranchini. Another pure delight. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant, & I cant wait to go back! Kid-friendliness: Changing table

Nice place to eat in Rimouski. The prices are good and the food is excellent. Be careful to save yourself room after the starter, as the portions are generous. Perhaps missing one or 2 other main meal options with shrimp, crab or lobster. Otherwise, the service was very good too!

While in Rimouski for a hockey tournament we returned to Les Affamés which we had discovered last year and we were not disappointed. It was as good as we remembered. A delicious sea urchin soup, and a perfectly cooked and accompanied halibut steak. And although we often dont have dessert, we fell for the lemon tart again (especially for the delicious little meringues). A real delight and a very considerate, simple, efficient and kind service. Good choice of wines by the glass. We have recommended it to other parents who went and loved it too.

Quick welcome, nothing more. Nice view of the kitchen which is busy around the Chef. Limited list of dishes (thats a good sign!) and correct execution. An address to consider. From there to thinking (as in some comments) that it is one of the best restaurants in Quebec, there is a step that should not be taken. Lets stay lucid. Popular restaurant but we were lucky to have a privileged place at the counter to watch the chefs prepare dishes before our eyes. It was magnificent to see, like a ballet of dancers, everything was perfectly and meticulously organized! We had a great time, the welcome was warm and the atmosphere was friendly. Super nice experience, good food, good micro-brewery beer. Thanks to Mélanie, one of the owners for recommending the crispy Korean chicken starter. The starter was really good. I highly recommend it. My partner had the panco-crusted cod and she really liked it. I had the beef scoter, which is served rare only. Really good with local vegetables. Our server was Maximilian, aka the Roman Emperor. Received such good service from him. Such a good sense of humor, which added to the experience we had. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Rimouski.

Great little restaurant small, but without feeling cramped in the heart of Rimouski. We were seated at the bar and were able to observe a happy synchronization within the team of cooks. I had: breaded cod with roasted vegetables and coriander yogurt sauce. My partner had: broccoli soup, tortellini with cashew sauce, arugula and daisy sprouts. Very good choice of local/Quebec beers. It was original, tasty and excellent. In short, a great experience even if we announced ourselves at the last minute.

A great little restaurant with a great server! The terrace is well oriented to the sun. Entrance and coffee are included in the lunch menu. I opted for the carrot soup of the day which was delicious. Then bowl of tofu with basmati rice. The flavors are slightly spicy and truly succulent. To finish I had the chocolate chip and pumpkin seed cake. A delight. I dont regret stopping there.

Sitting at the counter because no reservations, passing through the region for 2 days...what a coincidence this little restaurant is! The waiter welcomed us kindly, offering numerous suggestions for beers. The atmosphere is good but it is very noisy. Sitting opposite each other we would have had difficulty hearing each other. Few choices for vegetarians, luckily we are flexitarians on occasion. Fish was our choice, mine was a tuna steak cooked to perfection, with a side of vegetables, it was succulent!!!

Four of us had dinner there. The restaurant offers a limited menu, which is a sign of quality on the selected products. The kitchen is open to the room, which allows customers to watch the dishes being prepared. We ate very well, the service was very human and that was a pleasure. A more than perfect moment.

The menu is limited but excellent!!! I didnt like that despite having a website, they put the menu on Facebook, which is not practical or clear. As I had read good reviews, I decided to make a reservation. The menu has few options but we decided to stay and try it. We dont regret it!!! Very good! The starter was the Risotto aux shitakes de la jardinière dAuclair, we loved it! The main dish was the Gnocchi aux merguez, wonderful!!! I highly recommend it!

Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant and refined food, courteous service. With an open concept kitchen and a dining room surrounded by art (which is for sale), its not just your taste and olfactory taste buds that will be stimulated. The tuna tataki was perfect as a starter. I loved the mackerel with Nantes carrots and Brussels sprouts. My partner really liked the tuna steak, and the children loved the bacon gnocchi and the burger and fries. Not to be missed during your next visit to Rimouski.

Cest fort décevant, les avis ne correspondent pas au repas que nous avons eu. La carte en elle même est très restreinte. Et la serveuse qui se permet de réclamer un plus gros pourboire alors que son service était mauvais, déroutant !

One of the best rated restaurant in Rimouski according to alot of people!! For me, it was just ok... The food was not seasoned on most of the dishes( please chef salt and pepper is the basis of cooking!!). The wine list should be revised too, not to have more choices but instead have choices that match your dishes. The service part of the evening was nice and relaxed. So thats why it was just ok for me.
