Mistakes in the kitchen regarding what we ordered. No one came to ask us if we liked it. And then at checkout I mentioned the errors and it was a meh, sorry here s your invoice. Disappointed because it was once a good place for lunch

Very disappointing experience. Several dirty tables on arrival after 2 p.m., the priority is not to clear or clean. 3 employees behind the counter, clearly not very busy... We have to organize a table of 4 to sit down ourselves. Waitress without interpersonal skills or smile who takes the order quickly without explaining anything and pushes herself quickly. This behavior discouraged us from ordering anything else, the waitress did not want to take our order anyway. We refuse to modify a sandwich, we just asked to replace dried tomatoes with fresh tomatoes. No, impossible. Very long wait for 2 (cold) soups and 3 barely toasted sandwiches. When receiving the plates, one of the 3 of us had slices of tomatoes on his plate as decoration . Was it so difficult to add them to the sandwich of the person who asked for them instead of dried tomatoes??? Its nonsense... The owner should take care of the management of his business because clearly, its heading straight into a wall when no supervision or clear directives are given to the employees. We left no tip and will not return. Very unfortunate, because having gone there a few years ago, the place was nice. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

Too bad the service is so long. Lunch restaurant with a 40 minute wait before taking the order and serving the coffee, when it is half full. COVID-19 has its back, especially in 2024.

I loved my time at Finesses dAlsace during my trip to Rimouski. Their Vanteux sandwich was excellent and packed to the brim. Our server was very funny and very courteous. We were also served very quickly. I recommend to everyone! Take the opportunity to grab some pastries and Alsatian bread along the way! Parking: There is public parking at the rear. Very easy to access.

Unprofessional, rude staff who lack respect for the customer, I had a very bad experience mainly with two of your employees, I no longer have the desire to go back there at all, and I think that I was not the the only one to make me argue, even the other customers on site were shocked at the way they treated me, frankly disappointed and I strongly advise against it.

Very nice place to have breakfast. Good service, waitress in a good mood despite her lack of experience. Good lunch, good quantity at good price! The homemade Hollandaise sauce surprised us!!! Amazing breakfast sausage, not like those in low end restaurants, not to mention the bread!!! A must-see in Rimouski!

Really good lunches

I order two coffees. Go back to my hotel room for 10 minutes. Come back to the bakery. My coffees are not ready. It happens. I ask how long. Another 10 minutes: we ran out of milk so we open small containers. Its a long time. I say another 10 minutes is too long for me. I am offered a refund for the cost of the coffees. I should point out that I left a tip. I am told that we cannot refund the tip. Then I am told that my coffees are almost ready! I accept. I return to the car with my coffees. Seems to me like theyre hot. When we get to the car, my girlfriend tastes her coffee. Very good. But mine, the milk was burnt. Milk should not be frothed above 60 celsius.

We ordered two soups of the day as well as two mini ham quiches after reading the good reviews on Google. We were somewhat disappointed with our order. Firstly, the site gives the choice of bread to accompany the soup and we did not have the bread we selected. The soup of the day, for a little over $4, was absolutely tasteless. A regular chicken broth alphabet noodle soup. A hospital soup would probably have been tastier. Honestly, I find this inconceivable from an institution with the reputation of Finesses dAlsace. Fortunately, the quiches were good, but cold. It seems to me that if you take a take-out order it is clear that it is to eat straight away. Finally, a little disappointed with the name of the place since they dont serve any typically Alsatian products.

Perfect place for sandwiches. Often packed to the brim. Maybe they should consider a new location downtown with a nice sunny patio. Update: The service has become poorer. After 30 minutes of sitting without receiving a menu even though new customers were being served at the counter, I decided to leave. I signaled to several employees, but they seemed confused, despite the low traffic. The cappuccino is undrinkable. Bakery with good products (croissants, Belgian style bread).

I saw comments recently that said the quality had decreased and I can confirm that this is true. We cant put it all down to the lack of staff because at some point that becomes a minimum standard for a restaurant. Far too long a wait at the door, no glass of water, no coffee before receiving my plate, they didnt ask me to cook my eggs and I received two hard yolks, I received 2 pieces of tomato end of tomato. Luckily it was good. Three things that should be reviewed in my opinion: priority, detail and service. Train your employees please

I am pleasantly surprised this morning following my visit to your home. After my last visits to the restaurant where I left disappointed by the service and the heat of the food, This morning the service was impeccable and fast. Bravo to the three young women who served the people. Very nice experience today.

The best sandwiches in town

Today at 7:30 a.m. I ordered 4 large Alsatian loaves and the young girl who took the order took the time to confirm with the kitchen that I could have them. I then reserved the 4 loaves. We left Rivière du Loup to go to Rimouski for our bread and at the same time order our dinners for the return. One of our outing habits that we havent done for 2 years. A little before our arrival I ordered by phone a large Le venteux sandwich and a large chicken. When I went to pick up my order, what a surprise, no big loaves for us, no Venteux and the hen was done. I was given a Le Venteux sandwich which seemed dated yesterday, soggy bread and very soft crust and hard to chew, for the hen and well the uncooked eggs very runny yolks and the white more than runny finally the icing on the Sunday they didnt cut the sandwich in half. This restaurant was once our favorite restaurant in Rimouski, but having traveled to Rivière du Loup for this kind of service, I dont think Ill be returning there any time soon. I am certain that our 4 loaves were sold to other customers, the young girl at the counter had all the trouble in the world finding my order on these sheets full of corn. Sadly almost $30 not to mention gas, for not much

All in all, a negative experience, both in terms of the service (the waiter was in a hurry and was rude) and the food (cold and gelatinous soup, sandwich stuffed with mayonnaise, no refinement). Restaurant to avoid.

A very bad experience this afternoon. Coffee without spoons, a dish without cutlery. The glass of water never arrived at our table, despite our request. The sandwich forgotten in the kitchen, a disoriented waitress. I understand that the labor shortage doesnt help but in this case, isnt it better to stick only to takeaway sales at lunchtime?

A very disappointing experience, during my dinner there, especially in terms of customer service, which I would describe as disastrous Not a hello when we are handed the menu card, the waitress takes our order, we receive one dish out of the two ordered, no utensils, no water The waitress takes my partners order, once, twice... My dinner is finished, my partner still hasnt received his, I havent had a glass of water or a fork... We leave after 1h15... half a panini shared between two, without water and with a bitter taste!.. I have rarely had such a restaurant experience! I don t recommend this place!

Very disappointed I went this afternoon (12-02) to buy a Hungarian Deli, the salad was replaced by sprouts and the dijon by honey. Otherwise before this I never had a problem, the bread is delicious

Interesting bread and pastries. The coffee is not so great though. A large café au lait came in a large cup - but was only half-full (or half empty of course depending on your point of view). Anyway this is clear a popular bakery and café at 0900 on a Monday morning.

I went to this pastry shop to have macaroons like I saw in their photo phew what the clerk showed me didnt look at all like the photo I bought two almond tartlets instead they are really delicious worth the detour for that!!

Despite the fact that the employee was alone in a rush before closing, she was able to serve each customer as quickly as possible and in a pleasant manner. Ordered by doordash on my dinner hour to receive almost nothing. A single slice of peperoni in the sandwich with ONE piece of brie cheese. The jardiniere salad was only 2-3 pieces of vegetable with a trampette, and the biscuit wasnt great either. Finally I just had some vegetables to eat that day. WORST restaurant experience in Rimouski.

I didnt appreciate being teased on the phone by an employee, because she absolutely didnt believe me that I had placed a take-out order through Doordash. I understand that you are new to the system and may not be familiar with this option, but your employees attitude and tone was in no way professional and she absolutely did not listen to me! I called politely and expected to be answered the same way! I also work in customer service and I would NEVER dare speak like that to a customer! As a bonus, my notary sandwich which had almost nothing inside except lettuce and my cheese which I fortunately paid extra for. In general, I have always had good service at your restaurant, but with this experience I no longer have the desire to return there.

Ive been there several times and the pasta salad always lacks seasoning and the cashier actually put the salad bowl on the checkout counter to transfer it to the take-out dish, which is moderately healthy. The sandwich wasnt so bad.
