We chose this restaurant after reading the reviews. We thought we were making a good choice. I had fried squid as a starter, very disappointed, large rubbery squid with membrane, tasteless breading, the sauce should have been with corriander but I didnt taste it. I expected better in a restaurant in lower St Laurent where the seafood is fresh. As a main course, a filet mignon...cooked medium and it was well cooked. I mentioned it to the waiter and told him it wasnt medium but I was going to eat it anyway. No excuses or desolation? This dish was not worth its price of $46. The positive point was that the steak really tasted like it was grilled. In short, for $90 total for me it wasnt worth it.

Beautiful, good, cheap but no wow What is mentioned on the menu differs from what is served. We ordered an onion ring which was to be served with homemade mayo on the side, it is served with a mustard coulis. The land and sea was to be served with home fries, it was served with rice. It was the first time that a beet salad was served to me with iceberg lettuce. If you are a wine connoisseur you will be disappointed with the selection but it is really cheap. Its good, its not expensive

Although it is in the basement, the place is very beautiful and well appointed. Lindas service was excellent and although overworked, she kept a smile. On the other hand, the dishes are below the expected quality in relation to the prices. I had a fish & chip as I often have in restaurants when available. Both the fish and the breading were oozing oil and I doubt the fish was cod; it was so greasy and yellowish. I wondered if the pieces had been soaking in oil for a long time. Same thing for the side salad; she seemed soggy in oil. Bottom line, I was very disappointed with the poor quality of the food. PLEASE NOTE: THE WEB MENU PRICE DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO REALITY IN ANY WAY. The fish & chip is listed at $22 on the website while the restaurant menu lists it at $26. Apart from the excellent service... To follow up on your response to my message, you will understand that it is very surprising that there is a next time.

False internet menu presentation, restaurant menu so different. I only ordered fried squid starters from real rubber with a salad not related, pasta starter with scallops 2 scallops no refinements no taste. Fried shrimp is ok but the salad is no match. The waiters had forgotten their smile

Group of 9 people passing through Rimouski for 1 evening, so I consulted the Web to get restaurant suggestions. Looking at the menu (food and alcohol) my choice fell on this restaurant. Little did I know that the experience would not be pleasant. First of all during the day we have 2 people added. The person called and the restaurant did not have my reservation. However, everything was confirmed to me via text message. Without this addition we would have found ourselves without a place to eat dinner. As for the menu it is not at all what is on the website. Several people decided to have the risotto but it was not on the menu. Faced with this situation, we asked the waitress why there was so much difference between the web menu and the one on site and she replied very nonchalantly that it was the terrace menu. No possibility of ordering the risotto. So we started looking at the menu again and when we took our orders she told us that there was no more cod. People in the group must therefore make a choice for the 3rd time. Important when you know that a dish is no longer available it would be appropriate to notify customers before making the choice and not when placing the order. As for the wine, its the same thing, the menu is different. We asked if she had Bread and Butter (as on the website) and again based on the attitude of the waitress we had just asked one question too many. My partner and I ordered the scallop starter for $15. This entry is not worth the asking price at all. Tiny scallops but lots of pasta. As for the scallop, its a mountain of potatoes with very little shrimp and scallops. One person asked if it was possible to get the shell without the scallop. The response ultimately turned out to be positive, she even received her shell first given that it was different. But bad surprise the 2 scallops from the regular shell were there with the shrimp and the mountain of potatoes. The waitress was not smiling and she never did anything to find solutions to the many problems encountered. Please do not come back to me mentioning that it is Covid which is responsible for the service, the updating of the WEB site, the lack of food and errors in orders. Because when I received my invoice I was also impacted by the passage of Covid with the increase in prices. It also seems to me that Covid does not cause people to lose their smile and their good manners.

The restaurant is famous for lovers of seafood and urban cuisine. Still affordable in prices but lets say that other tables have surpassed the place for several years. The food is very good but the presentation leaves a little to be desired. Is it circumstantial, hopefully. Parking: Huge rear parking Wheelchair accessibility: You must park behind the main entrance (which is on St-Germain Street) and enter through the back door between Gréco and the hair salon. This will take you to a full entrance into the restaurant.

Restaurant with decent food, but too expensive for the price, table service is good but the kitchen is too slow. Several irritants: noisy restaurant, menu displayed at the entrance does not correspond to the weekly menu, price not displayed on the menu which leaves under between a table dhôte, but we discover at the end of the meal that the dessert is not not included, without prior notice the meal served does not correspond to the description of the menu (gratin dauphinois replaced by crushed potatoes for example). Glad we tried it, but we wont be returning because of the irritants. With the current service, I think we can find better nearby.

Very very disappointing experience...the food was served to us lukewarm never hot...the lobster the claws were raw and not cooked...I went there for the seafood platters everything was cold or lukewarm and we were only 2 table of 2 in the restaurant...but on the other hand it was tasty for $175 I dont recommend it to anyone

Wowww! A first for my boyfriend and I and honestly we have to do it again!! We had a plate of land and sea and a plate of the sea . So in terms of food a big 5 stars! In terms of service...how can I say, EXCELLENT!!! I don t know if we hit the waitress jackpot but wow! The potatoes were bland, dry and without seasoning :( The meat was quite simple in taste. Worst restaurant in town! I received a gift certificate for my party for $100 and the owner does not want to honor it. Impossible to speak to him by phone or in person on site, their employees send his messages for him. After informing the consumer protection office, I am within my rights to go so far as to send him a formal notice and then pursue him. I consider this theft since he already has my $100 in his pocket. He just lost all my family, Facebook contacts and friends who were going to eat there for a long time! Now I dont ask myself the question anymore...Im booking at the Lotus!

We went to this restaurant near our hotel. Unfortunately it was a very very unpleasant experience both on a culinary level, as well as with the owner/chef of the restaurant. Dish not very tasty, meat without taste, plate style reheated in the microwave as much for me as my friend. We share our dissatisfaction with our waitress and chef. The chef at our table, does not agree with our comments, does not listen to us, very stupid. No discount on our plate we had to pay the full amount despite having eaten 2-3 mouthfuls. I strongly advise against this restaurant if you want a culinary experience!!

I was a little disappointed with my green apple and mushroom starter, it was soft red apples and large pieces of onion and goat cheese in a lump in the corner, nothing to do with this starter which is usually succulent . No chocolate fondant for dessert. I think we should have the freedom to decide what dessert we would like to have. The price increases every time I go there...all very disappointing. The right recipe for people to want to go elsewhere...

We went there as a large group for a friends party dinner and in terms of atmosphere, nothing to say. We have fun with them. This can be a double-edged sword because people who want peace and quiet could find themselves next to a noisy group. The menu isnt very varied, but its a BYOB so thats worth it! Good experience in general, but slightly on the food side for me. I would have liked to have more choice.

My comment is shared. Firstly the food was excellent, I ate the flank steak and it was one of the best I have eaten, my partner ate the duck and she too it was perfect. Secondly it is the service, so as not to name her Emmanuelle, she will recognize herself if she reads. No smiles from start to finish. We were a group so 2 waitresses, 2 tables so far everything is ok. The starter was quick, but the rest was bad. The other had finished their main course and we had not yet served (the main meal) at our table. I had finished my plate and my children had not yet received their plate. Moreover, we had ordered 3 half portions for them but the waitress had some. noted that one. No excuses, instead she tells us I thought the half portion was for the 3 children 12 years old, 10 years old and 7 years old. She never came to see us to ask if everything was correct and to get her name we had to look on the invoice because it never showed up. In conclusion I recommend the restaurant, I just hope that you will be luckier than us in terms of service because I looked at the other waitress and she seemed to be good, too bad for us.

Very poor service, do not take any negative reviews, I do not recommend it to everyone and above all do not make any reservations. If I could have given 0 stars I would have done so. I booked and was told I would be placed in the canopy. Arriving at the restaurant, there was no room at the glass roof. I was then told that they did not take reservations. I asked for the booth because there were 4 of us, and was told that it was reserved and that we would have to eat in less than an hour. I had asked for a secluded place to be quieter, to put us at the table in front of the door where everyone comes in and out. Before the menus arrive... I see another table that would be better, I ask her and she tells me that we already have a table and that the other one hasnt been set up. We complain about the bad service and come back to ask us what the bad service is. So we tell him. She didnt take it. She kicked us out saying she didnt want us in her restaurant. So, this is the first and last time I set foot there. The restaurant was almost empty, there were only 2 tables occupied on the floor.
