Some. will say that it is expensive for a place that seems more cafeteria-like but we must not forget that it is quality seafood. We took the fishermans plate for 2, absolutely excellent, lobster, fish, scallops, mussels, squid, shrimp and so on.

We waited 1 hour 45 minutes before getting a table. And whats more, they seated us with a couple, because we would still have waited. Its part of the restaurants success...we ordered the fishermans plate and the other couple did too...a small table of 4 with 2 huge plates...had difficulty getting a dish to put on waste, ask for an ice bucket for the wine, never got it...and we waited 20 minutes to pay our bill....very disappointed....

We went yesterday Saturday for dinner. We waited at least 1h30 to get a place, there were 6 of us, according to the comments, the fishermans plate is fabulous...really! ! Take a good look at our plate and tell me if you think it s worth $250 for two people. Overcooked rice from having been left on the stove too long, everything was cold and overcooked, my sister-in-law ordered the scallop plate and it was overcooked and rubbery. From what I see in the comments, the other plates are better filled and whats more, the plate wasnt even set up for two but rather 1 person. We are very disappointed it was not worth the cost.

The welcome is really great. Guys want customer satisfaction. I had the seafood puff pastry. This dish disappointed me slightly. Too much puff pastry which was mopped up by the sauce. So in the end: dry. But I will definitely go back but with another choice of dish. The twins are friendly as well as the other server who becomes in the shadows...unfortunately because he is very nice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were very well received. Then, I admit that the prices are quite expensive but due to the fact that they are fresh products. This is understandable. The waiter accommodated us well by offering to take a dish and split it into two. We had seafood linguine. I admit that it was more than enough because it was very filling. The Lemieux brothers are super nice and helpful but the prices are much too expensive we have priced a table dhôte with fishermans plates that cost us $370 dollars with taxes and the 15% tip personally I recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will never set foot there again

Very very disappointed, Saturday we drove 4 hours to get there. There were 2 of us and one of the twins did not want to seat us, saying that there were only tables for 4 left and that he was going to prioritize the 4 people. Very very very ordinary as a welcome. Ive been waiting to go there for a year and Im never going to travel to go there again. I do not recommend this place in any way.

I went to eat there on Saturday July 27, 24 with my wife, my son and his partner. First of all, when we arrived at 7:15 p.m., one of the two twins told us that it would take about 20 minutes to 1 hour. wait, but I never usually do that but I decide to wait. So at 7:50 p.m. we find a table, order the halibut soup starter which finally arrives at 8:30 p.m. because they had forgotten us (service done by the twin with shorter hair) but it was another employee, a young man without a tattoo who was very outgoing and kind, who realized that we had been forgotten .delicious soup. It was after that that things got bad, I ordered the fishermans plate for 2 people for $238 and my son and his partner took the lobster for two which consisted of 4 half lobsters (by the way they m loaded 5 lobsters) but I noticed yesterday on my return that he had stuffed me with a lobster . So the lunch mentioned above arrived at our table at 9:25 p.m.!!!! I told him of our disappointment when I went to pay at the end of the meal at 10:30 p.m. because there was no one left in the restaurant so I found it better than throwing a fit in front of everyone. So his response was our oven failed this evening and it wasnt going well, Im really sorry but my wife told him that it was weird because lots of other people had ordered the same thing as us but who arrived after us were served before us but he continued to skate .on the other hand I must be honest, the food was really good, on the other hand $481 apart from the tip for a fishermans plate and 2 lobsters and a beer that expensive .I have the impression that he was not happy because they asked us if we wanted to stage our meals at the reception for their social networks and we refused, after an hour of waiting I wasnt really happy so we told him no and I think they made us wait for that .I still left a $100 tip because the other waiter without a tattoo was trying as best he could to tip us serve and take care of us but the twins were more concerned with taking photos for their social networks. The dessert was supposed to be 4 choices but in the end its them who decides what youre going to have. By the way the twin with longer hair was so frozen at the end of the evening when his brother tried to justify himself that he felt uncomfortable. They gave me a $20 discount for both plates but they charged me for an extra lobster, so its not really serious. Flavor and portion 5* service 1* decent atmosphere, quite expensive price on top of that with a loaded lobster.

Sorry but during our visit this week, we waited 1 hour 30 minutes for our main course. While other tables who came after us were served before us. No apology or answer why. Really disappointed.

Bad service whether on the phone, by email or even on site. When you are told on the phone that there is a wait of around 20 minutes to return, expect more than an hour.

Very disappointed with our experience. The prices are exorbitant and the dishes are very ordinary. We had a crab cake as a starter and it was cold in the center and without any seasoning. The seafood pasta sauce was béchamel style with no taste. Several grains of sand in the different dishes. The scallops were not arranged. The rice was hard. We waited 1 hour in the entrance and there was not enough staff to clear the tables. This restaurant gained popularity through Tiktok thanks to the Lemieux twins but I do not recommend the trip. On the other hand, the view of the river is superb and the sunset magnificent.

Overrated restaurant in my opinion. My scallops were way overcooked, presented on rice without any wow and served with an iceberg salad . My partner ate a cipaille with overcooked dough too . And what about the final bill!!!!!! 2 courses without starter, without dessert or drink for $160 (including taxes and tip). The staff is friendly and the view magnificent, which helped us to digest the bill.

The cod and lobster were delicious as was the side salad. The rice lacked a little seasoning, however. We arrived before 5 p.m. and got a seat in front of the bay window overlooking the beach and the river. The place filled up quickly. We found the prices high, but this is often the case at the Porte de la Gaspesie and its take it or leave it... $200 for two people without starters, a beer and a virgin ceasar.

Very disappointed! Completely ridiculous price. Portion clearly too small for the asking price. The price should be cut in half for the portion offered. Flavor-wise it s very good. Halibut and salmon superbly cooked and tasty, the rice was undercooked, lobster and crab as usual no more no less, not enough scallops (2) still depending on the asking price, 6 whole shrimp in 45/60 size frankly shameful, the soup served hot regularly but was cold for us (damn!) quickly cooking thermometers gentlemen, was not bad but nothing more. Good! To please or ensure any clientele wishing to have a complete menu, the chef put it on a table dhôte (fishermans plate) therefore offering dessert (Lord! Help them) and coffee. Dont do it anymore. That makes things significantly worse. The dessert is not dessert at all and the coffee is nothing short of disastrous. Understand! There is an honest intention to do well but nonetheless, a lot of work and research into flavors remains to be done. We dont give up!

Here is damning evidence of a beautiful place falling victim to its own success. We went there 2 years ago at the start of their rise on social networks. It was magical. Service A1. On the other hand, we returned there this evening, August 16, 2024. I saw staff exhausted, overwhelmed, without a smile, as if extinct and lifeless. It was almost sad to see. Unfortunately, with the prices, it is not acceptable not to have impeccable service and dishes. Very unfortunate. They will either have to slow down to return to authentic service or hire a lot more staff. Superb experience 2 years ago but very disappointing 2 years later.

Of course it was social media that brought us to this restaurant! I went there on a Saturday, waiting around 50 minutes to get a table. All the employees are attentive, but they all seem overwhelmed. There were no cocktails available that I was told, but a table that arrived well after us received one? Was it available again? Nothing was mentioned to me, so I didnt insist. We ordered the fishermans plate. Of course the price is high, but for the quantity of seafood and the quality, that s understandable! The only downside is the scallops which were overcooked for my taste. I will return there if I pass through Rimouski, but perhaps not in summer due to the traffic

Great customer and gastronomic experience, the seafood is super fresh, the portions are generous, the service is friendly and efficient and what can we say about the magnificent view while you enjoy your meal! Thank you and congratulations to the entire team behind the concept, congratulations Mr. Lemieux to you and your popular sons, thank you to Martine the friendly canteen worker, you are all a great example of success in Quebec entrepreneurship. It is now a must go for me during my next stay in Bas-Saint-Laurent. And when we see the number of customers who flock from the four corners of the province and the lines that start early, we know that we are at an excellent address! Small suggestion: add the possibility of having lemon butter (hot melted butter with lemon juice) instead of just garlic butter. Having the choice between the two would be great.

The essential place to eat fresh and tasty seafood with portions for the right forks, top quality service and very family-friendly. I love this restaurant and have stopped there on every trip for over 20 years and the food is still great. If you dont believe it, try it and youll see.

Me and my husband went to eat a nice lunch at your place. The price is surprising, but the view and the food are worth it. The scallops were super good, the lobster excellent, the portions perfect. Wow very nice experience

A little confusing when entering the restaurant and especially when you see the cheapest price of a starter at $26 but you have to tell yourself that you are in a fish and seafood place. Definitely not a family place because a couple with teenager left when he saw the menu... on the other hand, their fishermans plate at $220 is quite generous for 4 (we saw 2 adults and 2 children). The seafood poutine as a starter can be eaten for 2. On the other hand, the wines are not expensive. Certainly not the best value for money but the experience is worth it at least for the view of the river that you have in the restaurant.

Correct without more and no cheaper than elsewhere... the guys are friendly but 2 waiters and a bossboy on a Saturday evening is difficult. 40 minutes seated before even being asked what we wanted to drink, half of the mussels not opened, small lobster for the fishermans plate at $218 (...) typical plates between $65 and $68... so we expect anything other than correct. Advantage on the other hand, no reservations accepted. Its advantageous for 2 to 4 people but more, its playing waiting roulette... sorry boys I wish I could give a better evaluation.

An excellent place to savor the regions seafood delights! The Bouillabaisse soup, a must A lobster cut in half with a generous portion of mussels, salmon, halibut, scallops and Nordic shrimp. Impeccable and fast service, the servers work as a team. Dont be surprised by the tattoos... they are super nice Arrive early as there are no reservations. On weekdays at 6:00 p.m. it was already 2/3 busy. Not really suitable for children. No menu for them and the only real option is the shrimp head poutine.

We had taken the fishermans plate intended for two and there were three of us but had difficulty finishing because the plate was so big. Its presented on a platter and then we had lobster, crab legs, cod, halibut, scallops, shrimp and mussels all accompanied by rice and colorful salad. It was very good. As a starter we had a slightly spicy fish soup which was also very good and we finished with a sugar tart and tea. In addition we had a table close to the windows, the tide was high we had the impression of being on a cruise. We have tried many seafood restaurants but this is way above the rest. A significant plus. It is easy to park right in front of the restaurant and it is free. The tables d hôte and a bottle of rosé wine for $300 with taxes I found it really okay

I was there with my friend for his party last Friday and I must tell you that the Twins fully deserve to be encouraged! Its simply worth the detour, I drove 2 hours to eat there and I was in heaven! The cuisine was fresh and tasty, also respect to the cook and his Halibut soup! It was honestly the best soup Ive ever had in my life (sorry grandma). I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Its simply magical to see such beautiful plates with the view of the River, where our plates come from! I loved the friendliness of the Jumeaux, two young entrepreneurs with good hearts! They are on hand with you. I noticed that as soon as we had wiped our mouths and hands with our paper towels, Julien was there to put a new one back on, he was still keeping an eye on us! (We agree that by eating lobster you need more!) Otherwise Justin provided us with impeccable service at our table, he was attentive by giving us an extra portion of shrimp instead of mold, because me and my friend dont eat much of it and the bowl was already quite generous. Anyway, all that to say, stop asking questions and go for it! For my part I will return there guaranteed. Everything was delicious. The Crab Cake and the Fishermans Plate with their famous Halibut soup is a must for me! But I must admit that I will be tempted by the Seafood Spaghetti next time. It looked so delicious! Everything looked good.... I looked at the plates passing by and envied everything that came out of the kitchen in the distance! The portions are nice and generous. On that note, big respect to the Jumeaux Lemieux for bringing us such fresh seafood on a restaurant plate, its a really good restaurant/fishmonger duo. Thanks to the chef too! See you next time!

THE ESSENTIAL in Rimouski

What a fabulous experience! Every bite was excellent. We took the fishermans plate which is huge, even for 2 people. Everything was perfect. What about cocktails? The mixologist took the trouble to make me a tailor-made mocktail by coming to validate my preferences with me, I do not regret having trusted him. The whole team does what it takes to make the experience exceptional. The view of the river helps to complete the whole thing.

A beautiful, very cordial and attentive team, a well-located restaurant with a beautiful view. As for the kitchen...thats where it hurts. Let me explain. I had a good time, I received good service, I still enjoyed my dish and the menu offered. But the plate of commercial linguine dough at $66 is a tourist trap. At this price I was expecting homemade or artisanal pasta but there....seeing beautiful seafood placed on pasta bought at the IGA irritated me. I might go back but I wouldnt have this dish again, thats for sure. Looking forward to it

Funny experience! Bonus on board the restaurant, the food and the service seem perfect. However, we waited for our plates for almost two hours. I received a lobster even though I had ordered cod and the table we had was certainly the worst in the restaurant. The staff being very sorry for the situation we got our free meal. Nice catch-up but still I dont know if I can recommend the place.

The food is so worth it. I had the linguine with seafood. Youre not looking for seafood, theres more than just pasta! Excellent, I recommend! Plus, with the twins and their sailor suits, we love it!!

Excellent meal with a superb view. Special mention for the lychee martini which contains a good dose of alcohol! Our server was super friendly and gave us good recommendations for dishes. We decided to share the crab and lobster puff pastry between 2 and they offered my father an extra soup as a starter. For $5 more you can have a plate of rice and salad to better share the main meal. Beautiful atmosphere in the evening, the restaurant is lively. The fishmonger is in the same building. We will come back for sure!

So its really a shame that the lack of professionalism or competence in service is not there...!! because the quality and the location lend themselves perfectly... example: charging $68 for seafood linguini... a minimum of service to justify this price is asked... not just because There s lobster in it!!! its even more of a shame that the staff are friendly... I had a bad experience and because of that and I wouldnt go back and I wouldnt recommend it to my friends because of that!! which is a real shame because as I repeat the quality is there...!! well when they dont also make mistakes in the orders but hey it comes back to a service problem again!! pull yourself together and you will be at the top of the best!!!!

Wonderfull location, est directly near to the st Laurent. Classic and simply well made. The soup taste something like your grand mother would make you. The lobster was really fresh, tasty, well cooked and served with great sides. The house wine is better than a lot of bottle wines. The maple sugar tart was to die for, I am a dessert lover and that maple sugar tart was one of the best I had. Thank you for the experience.

Good meal equivalent to Matelot in Baie des Sables but the price is exaggerated, the wine costs less than the meal. Starters are $26 each and the meal is $58 to $68, including $210 for the sinners plate for 2... open your wallet.

The seafood linguini were ok, but not very warm and with too much sauce. The service was very friendly, the view of the sunset was very beautiful. At over $90 (including tip) per person, its too expensive in my opinion.

The price is completely exorbitant for a meal. A fillet of Cod at $58 No sense in my opinion However, the decor and the view of the river are breathtaking.

Excellent fresh fish and seafood restaurant. We tried the fishermans dish and were delighted (lobster, scallops, salmon, mussels, crab leg...). Oh and a curious bib to avoid getting dirty. And dont forget to try their desserts. Service by two very nice and friendly twin brothers.
