Very beautiful view of the river. Large and clean room. Only negative point, lack of power outlets for phone or tablet

Price-performance ratio not very good. For a mid-range hotel it would be really ok. But it seems premium in terms of price and presentation and is an ordinary accommodation. Many rooms (depending on the part of the building) are classic motel rooms, i.e. like in a container with a direct entrance door and not very large. But its very nicely furnished. The toilet brush was missing in both rooms. The pool is small, the sauna was broken and when I reported it, the (probably adult lifeguard) said aha. Maybe it was broken last week too There was only one small towel for each guest, no bathrobe or anything like that. For the price you could expect more. But good. View of the water and park was very nice.

Took a little vacation and tried this spot based on a friends recommendations. It did not disappoint!!

HORRIBLE STAFF will not give me a refund or credit for an emergency situation where I could not come to the hotel. This is unacceptable and now I cannot afford to get another hotel room. They do not care about your well being / safety but only about collecting money.

We stayed one night in this hotel on our way to Gaspésie, on the advice of our travel agency. We were enchanted by this magnificent estate with a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River and its sunset from the terrace. The room was spacious, clean and functional (just a little surprising to have the sink outside the bathroom). The swimming pool was very pleasant, in a beautiful setting, supervised with the provision of a changing room and towels. The breakfast was perfect on all levels (choice, quality of products and service). It was a calming stop on our journey. We even regretted only spending one night there! Nearby is a very charming Christmas store Noël au Château which is worth a detour.

An inn located next to Riviere du Loup. The restaurant is delicious and the staff very friendly. Magnificent sunset seen from the rooms. Our room was perfect and spacious with a beautiful terrace.

Last stop on our road trip in Gaspesie. We were delighted with our stay at this hotel. Beautiful room, large, clean with balcony and view of the river. Buffet breakfast, very good, varied. Pleasant and smiling staff at reception and in the restaurant. Well located away from the main road. I recommend.

Very clean, lots of amenities in the hotel and the beds were very comfortable! Its worth getting a room with a water view, otherwise you can watch the sunset on the shared terrace. I recommend!

This hotel is quite luxurious. Sitting on top of a cliff overlooking the st Lawerence River you can ask for a room with a balcony that has amazing views. Their terrace and bar have spectacular views especially at sunset. Their dinning room offers elegant meals and a full buffet breakfast the next morning. Usually we can t wait to get back home to our own beds but not here. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud. Had a fantastic sleep. For the eco friendly travellers they provide ev chargers, rooms have heat exchangers. Highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing places

We just did the whole NB thing and this was our last stop before heading home. Well it was our best hotel of the entire trip. We booked a city side motel room, as we had already seen a lot of seaside. The room was beautiful, modern and very clean. 2 comfortable beds, a very nice bathroom, everything was perfect. The large terrace at the back of the hotel facing the marine park is magnificent and very well appointed. We will return to this hotel for a weekend, spa and massage for sure. Also the hot lunch (extra) in the restaurant is fully worth the price. One of the best brunches Ive tried.

Wow!! We found this superb hotel accidentally, and what a lucky thing!! Driving from Ottawa to PEI (and back) and stopping here makes the two day journey so enjoyable. Look forward to relaxing and enjoying a beer watching the St. Lawrence drift by. Rooms are fantastic, staff amazing, service delightful. We would go back here as its own destination just to explore the beautiful town of Riviere Du Loup. Treat yourself! Noteworthy details: Get a table outside for the view!

Elevator out of service (bedroom on the 3rd floor), carpet, micro bathroom. Magnificent view but way too expensive for that.

Hotel is in a great location with incredible views. Room was clean with all the amenities. My only complaint would be it was very noisy. We could hear kids running around at all hours. Other than that it was a very nice place.

I liked everything about this hotel. The location is excellent. The room (117) was large, comfortable, clear and the balcony led directly to a fantastic view. I really enjoyed having a drink at the bar that was a few meters from my room. The pool and jacuzzi are excellent. I loved the stay.

Third visit and still just as delighted!!! The staff, the service, the rooms, the restaurant, the welcome, everything is excellent. And what about the magnificent and incredible view from the terrace over the river, just wow!!

It is a lovely place to go and stay, a real gem that I do honestly plan to revisit and have a longer stay to better enjoy the property. My stay earlier this week however had a few key misses for me that for a one night stay made quiet an impact on the short amount of time I was there for. Staff was friendly and being a native English speaker I had no trouble getting help from the team in English which was a big bonus for me! The rooms were nice and the AC worked well which on a very hot humid day was excellent to have. I wish there was more seating/lounges on the terrace, there is a lot of empty space on the deck and the furniture that is there is clustered together. Having more intentional planning and options would enhance this space for use. We stayed in the Cite building and found we could hear those in the room above us and beside us quite clearly (footsteps and banging mostly), it wasnt a problem once it seemed everyone had turned in, but in the early evening it was quite a nuisance to hear every step other people were taking. The specific issues I had during my stay was; 1. Had dinner one the deck and the menu was not at all comprehensive enough for someone with allergies and food sensitivities to make an informed choice. Nachos did not state that jalapenos were included, so I asked if they could be remade without which the server said yes, she then came to our tables to tell us after she had already submitted the new order of nachos to then tell me because the jalapenos were mixed with all the other veggies all I was going to be getting was chips with melted cheese on them. I was not given the option to switch what I wanted with this information in mind, I was told I could order something new but would pay for the nachos anyways. When the new plate of nachos came it was missing sour cream which I had to wait for 10 minutes for and then was charged for that sour cream on my final bill. 2. The Ameretto Sour on the menu was not a true Ameretto Sour and was barely tolerable as it seems like it was just the liquor and lemon juice (no simple syrup or egg whites), but after the issues with my nachos I didnt attempt to bring this to the servers attention. The server was very kind and nice but I no longer had confidence in having positive resolutions presented. 3. We had an issue with the toilet in our room becoming blocked, made a call to the front desk and was told they would send someone. 45 minutes later we had to call again and spoke to a different person who seemed aware that we had called a while ago but that someone should have been there in 5-10 minutes. We had to wait a further 20-25 minutes before someone finally came to the room to assist and by this point it was past 10pm

With such welcoming and smiling staff, we will return.

This was our 2nd stay at the Auberge de la pointe. We enjoyed the room with a view of the river. The site has a lot to offer: swimming pool, cycling, terrace. You can walk along the river and watch magnificent sunsets. It is a very beautiful place! I highly recommend!

A great discovery where I will definitely return! Its definitely worth paying to get a room with a river view. The view is breathtaking!! They allow dogs in some rooms. There is an air of outdoor fun and relaxation that is reminiscent of the resort in the south. The restaurant is excellent. There is a terrace with a view of the river where they also accept dogs. All with a view of the sunset!

Cape Town Pavilion super view Modern and impeccable

We stayed here on our way to PEI, there was four of us (two adults and two children). Positives: good location, close to highway, nice trail nearby. They have an open terrace with a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence. Check in was quick, staff friendly. Negatives: the room was small, motel type and maybe ok if you arrive late at night just to go to sleep, but even then, it was dark and uninviting, with three beds and a sink cramped in the same area and a tiny bathroom with a shower. It was not worth the price. On top of that, we found three tiny bugs on one of the beds, not sure what they were, but after inspecting the room didnt see anything alarming. However, it didnt help and we were glad to leave in the morning. We wont be coming back.

All in all, we had a wonderful experience during our weekend at the inn, apart from the issue with the smoke detector. I will come back to it. The panoramic view of the river and the islands is magnificent. The room, although small, was very comfortable and was renovated a few years ago. We also enjoyed the beautiful indoor pool and spa. We had some apprehensions about the noise that might have been caused by the guests of the two weddings on Saturday evening (200 + 80 people), but it was very reasonable. The rooms are well insulated and we were far from the reception rooms. Small downside: our smoke detector went off at 2 a.m. the first night, which woke up the whole family and our little baby. After an unsuccessful battery change in the middle of the night, then two follow-ups with reception (early AM and PM the next day), it was reinstalled early in the evening. We would have appreciated a more sincere apology for the lack of sleep caused, but oh well. We ate very well at the Mirador (superb service) and during the breakfast-brunch every morning. The owner was also very attentive, during the tours he carried out during the weddings and the next day all day. As far as the facilities are concerned, it is very pretty on the river side with the different terraces, a little less so on the parking side. For future developments, bitumen would have to be removed and greenery added, even if it meant better arranging the parking lot on the other side of the 132. This would allow shared spaces to be enlarged and would improve the look of the complex, from the street. On one side, it looks like a 3-star motel, on the other side, a 5-star inn. In the Rivière-du-Loup area, this is probably the best address. Looking forward to it! Rooms: Island Pavilion: The bathroom is very small. There is carpet on the floor, it smelled a little damp. The air conditioning works very well and is quiet. We woke up at 2 a.m. because we had a faulty smoke detector, it was average. I had to put my little 4 month old baby back to sleep in the hallway until 3 a.m.

Hello, I came a few weeks ago and for the 4th time in 1 year! I love this place, my friends wedding was wonderful. On the other hand, this time I unfortunately met one of the owners (long hair and very haughty). There were 6 of us (3 rooms at $700 each for 2 nights) so we sat on the balcony chatting. Around 9:30 p.m. the owner came to warn us not to forget the time and to start thinking about making less noise. We respect that even though it s early. I ask him if it would be better at the Cape because our room was further away. He replied yes. Around 10:30-11 p.m. the phone rings in our room. We returned around 10 p.m. so as not to be disturbed. The phone was to tell us to stop talking because we were disturbing the neighboring rooms. I was super uncomfortable. I dont consider that we were disturbing since we stopped the music in the first room at 8 p.m., changed rooms at 9:30 p.m. and ended up entering at 10 p.m. Honestly at the time I was surprised to be as disturbing as I was made to understand. The next morning at the Lobby Passage. The owner came to see us to tell us that he had to give compensation to the customer who made a complaint and that she did not sleep all night due to the noise we were making. It s strange because around 11 p.m. we went to the terrace near the swimming pool to continue talking without disturbing. And around 1 a.m. I was sleeping peacefully. The haughty and very unpleasant attitude of the owner who even adds that he was disturbed at 2 a.m. because of the complaint and that this place is family etc Well honestly I will never go back there again since I too am a customer and we have never been bothersome. At the price we pay, its a shame to make me feel like annoying trash. I will instead buy a chalet which will cost me the same price to have peace and above all to not disturb complaining customers who should stay at home. We all live in society and I no longer encourage places that do not have respect for their customers. Good luck taking care of this wonderful place that is no longer wonderful to me.

Pros: Spectacular sunset view of the St Lawrence, decent food at the outdoor bar, clean updated rooms, helpful staff. Cons: Awkwardly small bathrooms, tight parking just off the highway. This place served us very well as a one-night stop during a road trip.

Comfortable room, beautiful swimming pool and sauna!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I stayed at this hotel with my mother for three nights. It was a mother-daughter excursion, which we dont get to do frequently because I reside in another region. We were quite delighted to stay at this hotel, and we had a wonderful room with a spectacular view. The problem to put it lightly, is that when we came back in the afternoon to the hotel the day before checkout, we smelled a skunk-like odour. It was cannabis, enough to give anyone walking down the hallways an instant headache. We spoke with one of the hotels directors, who informed us that they had a worldwide star and his entourage staying at the hotel, and there was nothing they could do about them smoking in their rooms and around the property. The hotel offered to shift us to another room, but they were all in the same state: stinky!! We were unable to enjoy our final evening on the deck with the view, we were unable to leave the patio door open for fresh air overnight. Even in the morning, the smoke and scent permeated our room. The hotel provided us with free breakfast and promised to compensate for the inconveniences. We received a call a couple days later and they offered a gift certificate for next year, which a month later we still havent receieved. Not that it matters because we would not return, even with the gift certificate. We expected a full refund for our last night stay. Allowing people to do anything they want because they are mega stars is utterly messed up, and wrecked other paying clients stays. This place is a joke. As you can see by their response below, instead of doing the right thing, which would ve been to acknowledge their mistake and fix it by refunding the third night; they decided to take the other route and be defensive about it. Yes, perhaps there was one room that wasn t stinky, but it was a king size bed and not 2 beds like our reservation was. I would suggest to start working on your customer service skills and responses and figure out the best way to handle negative feedback.

I cannot stress this enough, do NOT stay here if you are a pet owner. My family and I stayed overnight here (four of us) with our dog. They advertise themselves as pet friendly yet have many limitations, including the dog cannot be allowed on the bed, yet provide no alternative, the dog cannot bark, dog needs to be on leash at all times (even in the room to our understanding?) etc. When we talked to the woman at the front desk about this issue and if they had any dog beds or where she wanted the dog to sleep, she said it can sleep on the floor . How is that pet friendly? Another person at the front desk responded that they meant that the motel is accepting and welcoming of all pets but which part of your services are exactly welcoming of pets when they are limited to the FLOOR of our motel room. We also spoke to the manager about our concerns over the motel not being actually pet friendly and she said the dogs also cannot bark.. as if that s not what dogs do.. I understand consistent loud barking but just regular barking? Also if you bring your pets, they will put you in less modernized rooms that smell stale and have no water view. The floor was dirty when we arrived (spilled some water, went to clean it up, the towel was BROWN), the fridge was dirty, and there was awful parking. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because they did clean the floor when we asked and tried to help. However, such problems should not have existed in the first place. ALSO we paid $30 extra JUST to have our dog there in the room, but if the dog breaks any of the rules (ex. they find dog hair on the bed), you have to pay an additional $100. Extremely poor service and would never return.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour et apprécié la spectaculaire vue de notre chambre. Chambre très propre, pratique et bien aménagée avec terrasse. Assurez-vous de choisir le petit déjeuner, ça vaut la peine! On y retourne sûrement!

Fantastic Rooms: Comfy beds and wonderful location

I loved it! I have a few weak points but despite all that its impossible not to rate 5 stars versus several hotels or hostels. The view is magnificent and the rooms are clean. We felt like we were in a small resort! Leaving the room we could walk on a kind of small boardwalk which led us to several restaurants, bar, terraces, hammocks, swimming pool..... The sunset... Phew! Gorgeous Cons: The bathroom is tiny! I would have liked a big shower. Outdoor childrens games are completely obsolete. We should think about it again. A victim of its success, the inn is overflowing with people and weddings. So not very quiet in the evening. Our little girl and even us had difficulty sleeping. No microwave in the room. This would be essential with children and for a long stay. I think I paid a little too much. I recommend, but if you want a quiet vacation, I invite you to find out if there are weddings or other parties planned!!! I would have loved to meet Snoop Dogg !

Welcome by a young man, perfect! He showed me the way to the room, in another building. The room was very good, nothing more. It was clean and the air conditioning worked well. I deplore, on the other hand, the fact that the closing of the kitchen is not indicated. It was late, we hadnt had supper and we went to the terrace to have a drink and eat something, but we were told that the kitchen closed at 8 p.m. Having seen this indication somewhere, we would have gone before 9 p.m.... Overall, very good place with a wonderful view of the river.

Very good hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Also has a nice swimming pool and a hot tub. And amazing view from the rear side. Just mind that windows of the motel-type rooms will be facing parking lot from all sides, though its still pretty quiet there at night.

Stayed 3 nights at the Pavilion de la Mer room inn. Everything was exceptional and just positive From our arrival until we leave. What can we say about .sublime sunsets. What can we say about the .gas fireplace and sofas on the terrace. What can I say about the courteous and caring staff. Thank you, we had some great times. And also an excellent table. Super nice hostel, location with a view of the water, swimming pool, terrace, 2 restaurants and what can we say about the lunch buffet! Wow and also great service and professionalism of the staff. Young, dynamic people on their own. Beautiful room, up to date, very clean. The only negative thing was the air conditioning which was noisy. Thank you to your entire team and we will come back to Rivière du loup at your inn on our next trip.

First visit for us to this hostel. A very nice discovery. Nice welcome during check-in with explanation of the site. We see that the owners are concerned about their establishment. The room was nice and clean. The site is very well maintained. Beautiful terrace overlooking the river with fire pit. The swimming pool is beautiful. Thanks to Thomas for his kindness and politeness! We had dinner at Mirador, the waitresses were courteous and smiling. The fish and chips were very good. We recommend this hostel and will return!

Great place great staff ,coffee way too expensive

Beautiful resort with clean and well appointed rooms. Unfortunately the room was located on the first floor of an all-wooden annex and each passage of a guest in front of the door made the whole room shake.....absolutely unbearable!

We stayed in the small chalets at the Auberge de la Pointe. It was really peaceful. There are two large beds in the bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed and a fully equipped kitchen area. We needed a comforter for the sofa bed late in the evening and the staff were super helpful. The view of the point is breathtaking. I really recommend this place.

Superb view of the river. Affordable to pay for a room and a hotel that is out of the ordinary. Good service. The only downside is the soundproofing of the rooms which could be better. That said, Im definitely going back!

We enjoyed a 2-day stay with them, impeccable service, functional and clean room. We had the cape pavilion with a beautiful view of the river and guaranteed tranquility. The grill bar and restaurant are worth the detour, good food and good service. To plan for another stay.

Everything is very good, only we are experiencing a big heatwave and the swimming pool is only accessible from 4:30 p.m.

Stayed at this hotel a few times before and enjoyed it immensely. But had to go to a funeral and stayed May 3rd to May 5th of this year. Sorry to say but I m disappointed that I stayed there and recommend it to others in the family. The hotel was not full but they gave us a room under what I can only imagine was a family football team. They did nothing but run all the time. It was a miserable experience. Hopefully they can get their act together and go back to a great place to stay. You are all now warned. Good Luck. Rooms: No remote control for the television. Fridge wasn t turned on and so dissatisfied that there was no ironing board to press the clothes

Only passing through, we didnt stay there, but it was enough to make us fall in love with the place. The location is incredible, the hostel atmosphere is definitely present despite the luxurious side of the place. Its a must and we will definitely go back to sleep there!

I dont know why this hotel doesnt have stars, but honestly the quality is higher than many hotels that have 3 or 4 stars. The rooms are spacious, very well maintained, luxurious decoration, high quality material, very clean, microwave available, good quality cafe maker, large choices of cafe and tea in the room, etc. However, there are different choices of rooms. We tried it twice and both times our stay was idyllic. We will remember our stay forever. If it was open for the winter, we would love going there. Unfortunately, its seasonal and opens in May. The view from the terrasse is amazing We tried it during the night as well. So cozy and romantic. My kids loved the pool. Hot tub, sauna, and spa are available. The price is fair. A bit higher than other motels and small hotels, but, it is definitely worth it ! Food and drinks: The restaurant is one of the best ever. We tried the open breakfast buffet and it was beyond our expectations! Hot breakfast, high quality, super nice staff, luxurious decoration, .. Its more of a Brunch as it includes large choices.

Very chic place, the restaurant was rather expensive, we opted for a love snack which was a 5 minute walk away. However, the room was also great, the beds seemed a little stiff but we slept so well! Not the most soundproofed room but the noise was so noticeable that it didnt really bother us. Really great pool, spa and terrace! The sunset was unfortunately not very visible due to the weather but it was still very pleasant.

On our eastern tour, this was our night before returning home. This Auberge is outstanding. I never knew that the St. Lawrence river was subject to tides, but from our beautiful balcony we watched it go in and out at least twice. The sunset was phenomenal. The room was beautiful. It was clean,spacious and as mentioned, the view was outstanding. The riverfront bar was gorgeous and the service was excellent. This is a destination not to overlook. On your eastern tour, dont hesitate to take in the breathtaking beauty that is the Auberge de LA Pointe.

We had room 240 and during our stay there was a wedding. So we had to resort to listening to music until midnight. At $276 per night, I believe we are entitled to have peace and quiet to sleep.

With the exception of a bit of a wait to check in, this was a really great stay. Recently stayed for one night, and it was a great choice - Ill stay again. The room was immaculately clean, with good toiletries, a mini-fridge, and a coffee station with china mugs. Best thing about the room: really good lighting!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a drink and a bite to eat in the bar, which was also great! Highly recommended.

We stayed here one night on the way back from Gaspé and enjoyed our stay. Relaxing on the unique and quiet balcony with an outstanding view gave us the energy to continue the journey. I recommend it, and Ill stay here again.

It is currently 11:00 p.m. and we are staying at the De la pointe au Pavillon de la cite inn. Since 9pm we have been experiencing noise and commotion. The soundproofing of the rooms is terribly deficient, worthy of the worst highway motels in the USA. On the other hand, the worst highway hotel in the USA you pay 30us for your room and not $250! So if you have to stay in the vicinity of Rivière du loup, go your way, save some money and sleep in peace.

We reserved a superior room that had 2 queen sized beds and a single bed. It was perfect. The view was beautiful.

WOW what a beautiful place on the waters edge with very nice rooms. Indoor swimming pool, spa, gym and sauna. Everything is clean and well signposted. The pool was warm, it was very pleasant.

During our return journey from Gaspé, we had the pleasure of staying at this place for one night, and it was truly enjoyable. The serene and distinctive balcony, offering an exceptional view, provided us with a much-needed relaxation and rejuvenation to continue our travels. I regret that I didnt have the opportunity to utilize the swimming pool and gym facilities this time, but I sincerely hope to experience them during my next visit.

Gorgeous large hotel with the best patio EVER! This hotel is much larger than what it looks like from the street. Checking-in was super fast and the room was ready ahead of time! Parking can be a little tricky as they have an on-site restaurant which is popular with locals as much as it is with the hotel s guests. There are, however, a couple of parking lots across the road should the ones by the hotel be filled. Be very aware when crossing the road as it is well travelled and people drove very fast as they attempt to climb the hill! Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the water. The balcony is split with a partions between rooms. The hotel is up on a cliff, there is a road below leading to parks, grown up swing sets, a playground, and the beach. You can walk or drive down to the beach. Our room was beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfortable. The sink is separate from the bath and toilet which is convenient when travelling with someone. The pool is inside and is awesome. There is also a hot tub and a sauna. You can get your pool towels from the person working the desk at the pool. There are large windows overlooking the patio and restaurant area and the water! Very pretty. There are two restaurants on site and a bar located on the patio. There are a lot of different seating options on the patio, many of which have fire pits by them. The sunsets are mind blowing from this hotel!! Walking the beach below is also fun especially if you like collecting pretty rocks and shells.

Auberge de la Pointe was highly recommended to me by a friend, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly situated for my itinerary but would be worth a detour even if it had not been. The room was very nice with a lovely deck from which to enjoy the spectacular view. I enjoyed a nice relaxed dinner in the restaurant and was able to be back on my deck to watch the sunset. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating of my poor French, especially the charming young man at the front desk when I was checking in. I was so tired from driving that I was struggling with any language! My only complaint would be that my stay was not long enough and next time I will definitely stay longer. Food and drinks: I enjoyed a lovely seafood dinner with salmon, cod, and scallops. It was beautifully prepared, delicious, with a lovely presentation. The wine list was good, and the service was prompt efficient and non-intrusive. It was a pleasant way to wind down after a long day of driving.

Lovely hotel. The food is passable but lacks vegan options. Their menu says they have some and to ask your server. Turns out to be cauliflower steak. Thats it. Nothing else is even veganizable. I recommend the drive to LInnocence in the old downtown if you need vegan options.

Superb view from the Cape Pavilion!

A favourite stop between points East & Quebec City or Montréal. Your choice of a few patio bars for small plates, and, when conditions permit, gorgeous sunsets. Indoors, fine dining. The grandchildren loved the indoor pool.

Unbelievable that in 2023 there will be no air conditioning in their rooms. I remember walking past seedy motels and wondering why they boasted about having AC and color TV. In 37 years I had never stayed in an establishment without AC! We were arriving from Fermont north of the 52nd parallel and even this hotel had air conditioning. Our hotel in Baie Commeau also had air conditioning. (Which is further north than Rivière du Loup) In short, when I arrived in the room, it was 27 degrees. The windows were closed and there was a strong smell of cleaning product. When I wanted to speak with a member of management, no one was present. I had to insist on asking for a call back from them. On the catering side, inadequate service, the tuna was overcooked, the minion filet was of low quality and had a burnt taste. The dessert table looks like a cheap buffet. (I allow myself these comments because they claim to be gourmet cuisine) I spent more than $1000 in one night at this place, I must admit that it was not worth that amount! Lets end on a positive note :-) Exterior design very good! Top-notch outdoor fireplace, fabulous swimming pool and breathtaking terrace!

The terrace is not accessible for an event without prior notice.

Beautiful hotel, stunning view. But wi-fi was out and above all the curtains in the room didnt work, we slept in the moonlight (with an alarm clock at dawn obviously). For a place thats not exactly cheap, you expect the rooms to be checked out.

We stayed in one of the river view rooms. Sadly, the weather was depressing to get a good view but we see the appeal. The room was very comfortable for our one-night stay in August. It was very clean and well-kept as a top rated hotel in RDL should be but there was a strong dog-like smell that was present from the moment we walked in. The bathroom was also clean but was so tight you practically had to stand in the shower to move around because the open floor space was practically nonexistent and the sink was outside the bathroom. I get it because, you are right in the path of the very heavy door (right in the doorway). That can be a bit weird in terms of privacy. Once youre in you room, past all of these annoyances, you can hear, and not barely, you can really hear, your neighbour in the bathroom doing their business from not your bathroom, but in the sleeping area as well, so sound barriers could well be improved on too. In terms of location and amenities, you had a couple restaurants on the property (very upscale for us-and expensive), and you are within a minute to the main highway (20; Rimouski or Montreal) and 10 minutes to the 85 (to New Brunswick). You also have a spa (additional cost), which is nice after a long drive all day, especially for us, after driving from Ontario. You really do get a lot on the size lot this is on, so that really is a plus. Finally, when it comes to overall value for the money, it was not worth it for us and that may be different for you so check it out first on the website (you can do 360 room tours). For us, were not sure were coming back. Some things that are an amazing draw to the place include: 1) Location. 2) Amenities. 3) Clean and Comfy. That is down-pat. They could work on these: 1) Sound Proofing. 2) The Odors. 3) Room (especially the bathroom area thing) Layout. These are our biggest things, so check these out for yourselves if coming here. Theres also a lack of parking too, we couldnt find a space. MY TAKE: It was a nice stay, yet a few minor, yet unnecessary annoyances kept it from the perfect hotel its rated to be.

Relaxation and relaxation, extraordinary cuisine. Rooms: Soundproofing to be reviewed, a downside on animal rights! Walkability: Easy, lots of trails along the river, magnificent sunset, relaxation guaranteed. Food and drinks: Introduce yourself to Espadon and you will understand.

A true paradise along the river! Our stay at this inn was simply enchanting. The view from our room was breathtaking, offering an incredible panorama of the river and the picturesque surroundings. Spending time by the pool was pure bliss, especially with such a magnificent view as a backdrop. The spa was an oasis of relaxation, providing a well-deserved break after a day of cycling along the cycle path extending right next to the hostel. The benefit of having free bikes really added to our experience, allowing us to explore the area in a fun and active way. The impeccable service and attentive staff made our stay a memorable experience. If youre looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional amenities and breathtaking views, this inn is the perfect place. We cant wait to come back on our next getaway!

The location and services offered at this hostel make it a destination in itself. Very good restaurant. Beautiful heated indoor swimming pool. Magnificent terrace with a view of the river. Not very far from Kamouraska and the ferry to Tadoussac. We will come back for a longer stay!

Breakfast is a delicious and diverse all-you-can-eat buffet. We tried the Mirador restaurant whose cocktails were delicious. The dishes were good but it s a shame there were no croutons to accompany the tartare. The desserts were really delicious! The swimming pool was pleasant and not very busy during our visit. The slightly more negative points. One of the rooms we had smelled of damp and we took a river view room which ended up facing another building so we had to lean over to actually see the river. The other rooms seemed better located so avoid room 115 if you book there ;) We will undoubtedly come back to spend more time in this beautiful place and discover more of the region which is charming! Our rooms are in the old motel side, it is 2* at best with lots of misquitos, we were bitten right away. The rooms are like old motels which they add a few modern items to charge 4* price. We walked into the room and got a wiff off urine. Ill called the front desk, they said they dont have rooms, they sent a person with a spray. The washroom is very modern and pretty, but as the night goes on the smell gets stronger coming from the washroom into the room. My family in another room also had the same issue, but the smell was not as strong. They think it may be molds rhat was covered up during renovation. Best to spend another $60 to stay in the main building where you are inside with a beautiful deck facing the St. Lawrence River. Noteworthy details: Worth the extra charge to book only the rooms in the new building or the main building, otherwise look elsewhere.

Notice If you are not careful when entering the room, you risk smashing your head on the sink located directly behind the front door, as happened to me, given that there is no warning that there is a step of about 3 or 4 inches at the entrance to this room (room we had on 2nd floor sea pavilion, the whole floor seems to have this step). He could put a poster on this same door. Another disadvantage, many rooms with connecting door to neighboring room, and we do not warn you of this situation. So I wouldnt recommend this hotel again, if you want peace and quiet and above all not to get hurt. Wonder who came up with the idea of this step at the entrance to the bedroom and placing the sink just behind the front door? Rooms: Several with connecting door. Safety: Very dangerous room entrance. Step and sink almost behind the door.

I had the pleasure of staying at Auberge De La Pointe recently, and I must say that my experience was exceptional. The setting is simply idyllic with a breathtaking view of the river. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and impeccably clean. The staff is exceptionally kind and always ready to help. The restaurants cuisine is delicious and highlights local products. A true oasis of tranquility and comfort. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a memorable getaway. Looking forward to my next stay!

A very nice family stopover at the end of August in this large inn on the banks of the St Laurent where the staff is very pleasant. Room facing the river, spacious and very well equipped. Swimming pool, hot tub and sauna very pleasant after a few hours of driving. Several panoramic terraces ideally placed to contemplate the magnificent sunset over the river or admire the beluga whales in the morning. Friendly restaurant + bar, the cocktails are exquisite! Negative points: quite expensive breakfasts, very poorly soundproofed room and leaking shower, a shame given the price of the room. Rooms: Modern, spacious, well equipped. Very good bedding, terrace on the river = top! On the other hand, very poor soundproofing: you can hear the neighbors walking, laughing, showering. Food and drinks: Quite good hearty dishes and delicious cocktails. Noteworthy details: The view of the river is a real ++ Access to the family spa is great!

Inn not appropriate term given that it is a resort We were relegated to the Motel section in the middle of a large parking lot which led to the room. Obliged to be left constantly closed; poor cleanliness; small bed Exorbitant price of breakfast (we went to have it in a small bakery) and forced to take the car for dinner and be lucky to find an open restaurant. The photo of the establishment published by the tour operator Parcours Canada is obsolete!!! Once again super disappointed

I didnt stay here, but enjoyed a beautiful balcony view and took in an absolutely stunning sunset, Its almost resort like. The bar has great cocktails, beer, and food. This was one of the highlights of my summer

Beautiful entry into a stunning foyer and front desk. English speaking staff so helpful. the restaurant was just off the check in desk ..white tablecloths and beautiful wine area. Went for dinner and so GOOD! Our room large and spacious. Glad we checked out this hotel! Going to keep it on our radar and recommend to any family members that travel through this area

We had the pleasure of staying in this hotel in September on our way to New Brunswick. Our room was in the South Pavilion. The accommodations for a one night stay were excellent. We reserved our dinner and breakfast when we planned our stay. The meal at dinner did not disappoint, it was fabulous. The servers were excellent. If they didn t understand our English they would get someone who did. They were very accommodating, we couldn t have asked for better. The breakfast was also fantastic. We liked this place so much we stayed here in our return!!

Because the owners are haughty, I heard people from the housekeeping staff arguing, even screaming. The place is very well located but for the rest it is better in photos than in real bathroom extremely small poorly organized and clearly not ideal with children I will never return there
