182 Rue Fraser, Rivière-du-Loup, QC G5R 1C8, Canada
Low-key lodging offering complimentary continental breakfast, Wi-Fi & large-vehicle parking.
We stayed in an efficiency unit with a kitchen area and Queen bed. From what I understand the units are new since this spring/summer. It was very nice and clean. The kitchen was well appointed with plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, recycle and garbage etc. We really like the fact that the lights, including in the bedroom, were on dimmers so you could choose if you wanted dim light for relaxing or bright if you were looking for something in your hotel bag! The units have heat/cooling capabilities. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was pretty good…all we needed before getting back on the road. Bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. Wish you could see more of the river from the property but the trees mostly hide it. Might be able to see it better from the 2nd floor balconies of the main hotel.
We stayed here on our way to Gaspe as a halfway point. No complaints other than finding parking. The room was clean and the bed was comfy! The breakfast that is included in the price was very nice. They had cereals, scrambled eggs, cocktail sausages, french toast with syrup, bagels, cream cheese and many other condiments. The coffee was good and they also have pure orange and apple juice. I would recommend this hotel/motel for sure.
Good hotel to stay in Rivière de Loup. Well located, most rooms appear to have been renovated. Not fancy but all of the basics are available. Good size room with comfortable beds. Good strong wifi. Free breakfast was quite good as well. Highly recommend.
This hotel has seen better days. The facilities are worn and tired (walls, carpets, paint). The rooms are shabby and badly need upgrading. The free breakfast is very poor fair and the room it's held in is dirty. No one attended to anything when we had breakfast (no cleaning, no replenishment). Do not be fooled with any photos you see online for this breakfast - they are stock photos and not representative of the fare at this place. I will not stay here again and I recommend you do not. For a little more money I believe there are better hotels nearby.
2 story hotel, not modern but good. Front desk was polite and helpful. Room was a good size, window a/c hard to control but worked well enough. Washroom was clean. Breakfast was good. Close to many amenities in town. A side trip to view nearby marina is worth a photo op (weather depending).
Very large room with a jet tub and a King sized bed. Clean and comfortable. The washroom was cramped (small shower and toilet behind door).|The waterfront and other amenities were close by.|The staff were friendly and polite.|We just stayed the one night, as my wife and I were travelling from Ontario to Nova Scotia.|We will definitely stop here again.
Well off the highway if traveling west, however, easy back on in the morning. Easy check in, polite staff that speak english. Breakfest was basic, got me through the morning.|Dog frendly so there were dogs barking in the evening, didn't hear them at night.|Rooms a little tired, however, the bed quality was OK.
Super clean rooms, eco friendly with big shampoos instead of dinky little bottles and recycling bin in room. First hotel like this after a 6000 k trip, most pleased for the effort taken. Staff were lovely.
Very nice hotel, well appointed and very clean Hearty continental breakfast with scrambled egg and bacon or sausage. The only problem of the week, the internet connection was slow. Rooms: Clean and well equipped. Very comfortable bed. Walkability: A bit of a walk to the main one, but its okay
We had a good stay
Nothing to say. We took the room with the spa bath and it was very pleasant. Very large and clean room. Very affordable price for a last minute night. Breakfast included but dont expect luxury. I recommend.
Very nice night reception; the employee named Sébastien gives himself body And souls! The rooms are comfortable
Perfect hotel to stop on the road but nothing more. Positive points - very comfortable bed and pillow - courteous staff - very clean - small outdoor park for children - welcomes animals - free Dove soap in the shower Negatives - decent lunch but nothing more - the water tastes a lot like earth - the bathroom is so small that you have to take steps to go to the toilet with the door closed - Very noisy A/C - no place to eat. We were 2 adults and two children with a chair and an 18 inch x 18 inch table. We had to have a picnic on the white bed I recommend you take the even numbered rooms. You will be entitled to a balcony and a sunset. When we returned from vacation we had a room on the parking side with no balcony or patio door. So I had to sleep with the noisy air conditioning overlooking the street and the parking lot. It s the kind of hotel where you go when passing through and don t look at the decor because of the price. If you want more comfort and luxury, the Hôtel l Universel is much better. We didn t try the Hôtel Lévesque because they don t accept pets.
We stopped in on our way to Halifax. They have Updated rooms, courteous staff & a good continental breakfast!
Staff were very friendly and the cabins were super clean. Had a very nice sleep after travelling for 12 hrs and really appreciated the quiet room and comfortable bed. Rooms: Cabins are great
Magnificent view from the balcony, cleanliness on the coche with whirlpool bath, welcoming and cozy room, we slept like babies. Efficient, professional, attentive staff...no problem returning or recommending it
We had booked a chalet for 4. In fact, the chalet only had one bedroom and therefore, the second couple slept in the room which serves as the dining room, kitchen and bedroom! A room of around 10m2... We had to find the sheets to make the bed and the sofa bed taking up all the space, push the table and chairs to the edges of the room. This sofa bed was so uncomfortable that our friends preferred to put the mattress on the floor to sleep. Can we make up for it with a good breakfast? Very unlikely: this is probably the worst I have experienced in my long travel career. I will list: only one type of coffee (American lava), only one type of egg, poorly defrosted scrambled eggs, sausages whose composition I prefer not to know and jam. Colorful juice with probably less than 10% fruit in it. In short, to flee! The quality-price ratio is at its lowest. The outdoor swimming pool, with no possible privacy, is located right in front of the road: wise.
We had an amazing time excellent staff great cabin we stayed in was perfect.breakie was good clean lobby clean rooms comfy beds.great location we felt safe. Im planning next time with my family
This hotel has seen better days. The facilities are worn and tired (walls, carpets, paint). The rooms are shabby and badly need upgrading. The free breakfast is very poor fair and the room its held in is dirty. No one attended to anything when we had breakfast (no cleaning, no replenishment). I will not stay here again and I recommend you do not. For a little more money I believe there are better hotels nearby. Rooms: Old-fashioned, shabby, and not very well looked after. The bathroom has one dim light. Bedding is synthetic and not cotton. Food and drinks: Breakfast is scrambled eggs from a carton, sausages, toast, yogurt, bananas, juice, cereal, coffee. Sounds all right but its remarkable what a little TLC can add to an otherwise imaginative meal. This place demonstrates no TLC at all.
The chalet was very clean and very well maintained. Perfect lunch and welcoming and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our stay with you and recommend Days Inn by Wyndham Rivière-du-Loup. THANKS !
Friendly staff, family oriented, perfect location for long vacation driving!
The room was clean and the staff were welcoming Rooms: Clean and quiet
It s surprising that this motel is rated 2*. Very well located and huge grounds for children to run around/play. Please note there are rooms and also chalets/condos. Marc leads by example and I wish him to obtain the role of Director. In my eyes, he already occupies several positions and demonstrates at every moment the extent of his dedication and leadership. This is surely, among other things, why Jessie, Sébastien, Nity, Linda and Liliane are available, affable and smiling, ready to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Congratulations on these hires continue to take care of them, they will pay you back! NB: The little good breakfast is offered but... at home I pick myself up afterwards, sad to see the waste and the lack of good manners of certain customers who let themselves hang around after eating. Suggested slogan idea for Wyndham: We offer you breakfast if you dont waste it and especially if you pick up after eating! »
I found the hair in my bed and the bathoom smelled of urine. I guess that was $200 room gets you these days. The location was great, it is a nice 30 minute walk to down-town.
No possibility to make tea. Also too expensive for a small room where the window cannot be opened and the air conditioning runs so loudly that you cant turn it on at night.
Clean and comfortable hotel! Generous breakfast is included! Rooms
Horrible hotel. Our AC smelled like rotten eggs and made our room and hallway stink. They couldn t give us another room and refused to give us any kind of compensation.
Finally earned a free night with my points. This hotel has charged my credit card 3 separate times. The day I arrived of $150, then $20 the next day. Then 170.50 two days later. Called the hotel for them to reverse the charge to be told that I have to wait another 2 days for the supervisor. Will never go back because of the administration at the desk. No one should have the right to charge my CC without authorization. Filed a formal complaint. We will see if it gets resolved.
Very normal and basic hotel. Positive points: clean and comfortable room. Negative points: the lunch was not great (only bread/bagel, cereal, yogurt, bacon. The eggs were inedible) and the employees were not very cheerful.
Room was clean but everything else terrible. Head board on bed had ridge digging into the head, not enough pillows, no cot, only mattress on ground. Pool closed.
Looks like in Canada, is a water crise. No water provided in the room at check in. It was very nice to have some water, after 8 hours of driving, going exhausted in the room, and even after asking they said they do not give this. Come on, is a 10 cents a bottle of water as you guys buy in bulk. Is to much to give for the price of the room? I do not think so. On the other hand, the room was cozy, comfy bed, basic breakfast with few options. This will be my comment of the impertinent answer from my review. Is not difficult to add in rooms a 500ml bottle of water, as all the respectful hotels leave. But looks like ignorance is bigger than I thought, considering the received answer. WOW. Because of this I decrease the service rate stars.
Updated comfortable clean rooms and breakfast too, friendly to pets. Friendly, professional and helpful staff.
Rented a little chalet. Was amazing. Just renovated. Was so clean and spacious. The staff at reception was very friendly. The girl was able to give me very good recommendations to what was available in the area. Would definitely book again. Rooms
Rooms: Own Nearby activities: Lots of activities around, restaurants, grocery store etc.
Enjoyed view of lake and jacuzzi. Bed was very comfotable.
There are a lot of hairs on the sheets and sheets. Its so disgusting that I cant sleep without wearing long sleeves and long pants. If you care about hygiene, dont come here.
The rooms are very good! However, we came to rest there and the work woke us up at 7am. A member of staff (unpleasant and rude) tells me that there is nothing he can do and that it is normal that it is construction season. In addition, there are contradictions with the ecological messages displayed in the rooms and disposable cutlery for breakfast. Can do better on this Rooms: Very good rooms Food and drinks: At breakfast: Not many vegetarian options and disposable cutlery
Rooms for clean & beds were comfy. Breakfast Menu Should have more variation.
Very clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfasts more than average. Inedible omelettes, Sorry but we threw them away. Lets not even mention the sausages. Fortunately there was bread. Unsalted butter would be welcome. The staff at reception. We seem to bother them more than anything else. Too bad because in winter there are few tourists so we expect a little more quality of service.
An unplanned overnight stay, trying to get ahead of some bad weather, so we didn t exactly do much research beyond familiar chain names before booking from the road. The room was freezing at first (we figured out the heating system) and not the cleanest (it looked like dog hair?) But otherwise perfectly fine. The bed was comfortable and we were just there to sleep.
Arrived late at night to avoid snow storm on highway. Girl at front desk was super friendly. We had a great chat. Room was clean, comfy, and quiet. Slept well.
A little off the highway, very nice rooms, continental breakfast.
If youre paying $160 for a room it should have a microwave...the heater basically is on a cremation setting or just cold air. Room was tiny but clean. Staff were pretty good though.
Good place with good service! Simple but good breakfast!
Small, clean and comfortable chalet, standard breakfast, pleasant swimming pool at 80, pleasant and courteous staff, lovely 4-day stay.
Room was really clean (thank you Joanie), cleanest Ive ever seen a hotel room. Customer service at the desk for check in/out were polite and professional, but not very friendly. Rooms: Pet friendly rooms. Impressively clean.
Friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast. Spacious room.
I always try and stay here on our travels. I find the beds very comfortable. Rooms: There is no carpet in the room, so it feels cleaner Rooms : 5/5 |
Clean rooms. Close to grocery store. Beautiful view. Rooms: Clean and up to date Rooms : 5/5 |
Great staff, clean and a wonderful selection of breakfast options
The room was super clean and comfortable. The view outside was fantastic. There could be more lighting and one lamp was not working. There also should of had chairs on the balcony.
- Chalets - Rooms - Facilities - Parking - Outdoor swimming pool - Quiet - Welcome - Breakfast -
Great overnight stop hotel. Slightly out of town but it was on the hotel strip. Staff were great, good quality Samsung tv appreciated. Motel type bedroom entrance off car park made for just hauling your case out the trunk and straight into the room
Our go to for travel between NS and ON. We love having drinks on the balcony overlooking the St. Lawrence and enjoying the beautiful sunset. Nearby activities: Nice little walk in the woods at a nearby waterfall park can ease out the stiffness of a long day of driving
..........perfect.........
Limited view of the St Lawrence but the room was beautiful. One bathroom for seven people was a bit of an issue but it is what it is. The room was clean (thanks Isabelle), and well decorated and had kitchen supplies galore! Enjoy your day my friends Rooms
In all our hotel/motel stop for our 10 days vacation drive, it was our most expensive room and we stayed in 5 stars hotels before we stayed at the Days Inn. Plus they charge for our 2 great Danes more compared to the others we stayed in. Just a ok stop for 1 night. Not more.
Very nice place to stay. The only concern was that with two large beds the A/C unit was blowing cold air up against the side of one bed.
Very warm welcome, very clean, breakfast included, affordable! Rooms: Very clean and comfortable Safety: Swimming pool secured by fence with self-locking
What you get shown, advertised, on Booking and Other sites is inaccurate, misleading, the room had wall paper starting to peel, the paint looked like it was done 5yrs ago. Every time a door closed the entire building heard it.The sink was in front of the bed? Its a run down hotel that needs updating , the one good thing was the young man working the front desk, very helpful. Your price for a room like this is way over priced, Rooms: Needs updating,
Good place to pass
Okay for the price. Not walkable to any restaurants. Free breakfast and parking good. Room comfortable. Restaurant on site food overcooked.
Food and drinks: Délicieux le déjeuner Rooms
Superb, very functional rooms.
Filthy and run down.
Nice hotel comfortable beds, breakfast OK.
Very. Very helpful!
Breakfast included balcony nice clean view! Good value for money
The room was okay, with good nearby restaurants, however, the stairs were not dog friendly, and they put us up there. The rooms were very dated, and the breakfast was questionable at best. The pool was constantly closed, and there was no water fountains, and the tap water was strange. Wouldnt recommend it, however the town was lovely. An airbnb nearby is probably the best option Rooms: Paper thin walls, dark rooms, right by the road Food and drinks: Breakfast made me sick, the only good food was at restaurants 20-30 minutes away
We had a solo cottage building (one bed, one couch). Kind of a cool feature to have your own building with a kitchen (including appliances and dishes). However the place was a mess, it was very dated but not sure when it was last cleaned, the floor was very dirty and we found nail clippings on the bed duvet. The toilet also wouldnt flush after a few hours. I called the day prior and asked for an early check in and was basically told no (their check in is 4pm, and is right at the border of New Brunswick which makes it more like 5pm - tough to do when travelling). Their breakfast was pretty bad, microwaved bacon and a clump of eggs. Would not recommend this place
Its very clean, and that really jumped out . Friendly staff ,the free breakfast is good. Even the free wifi works great . I had one drawback ,and that was a lumpy matras. Thats why only 4 stars
Room service talking very loudly in the hallway at 6:30 in the morning... not great. Breakfast offered on site
Checked in last night and female at front desk was rude and crabby. We were very tired otherwise because of her nasty attitude we would have left. WAY OVERPRICED for crummy basic OUTDATED room. Looks like furniture was bought at thrift store. The lighting in the bathroom was ridiculous! A night light would have been brighter. $200 plus is PURE ROBBERY! $75 IS MORE APPROPRIATE!!
Perfect for what we needed relatively close to the highway delicious beautiful restaurant across the street Saint Patrice. Comfortable room decent breakfast. Would have preferred to pay no more than $150 but thats the going rate. Bravo continued success to you Mark and Diana Rooms: Was not all that big but served its purpose
Room its due to be renewed Rooms: Due to be renewed, noisy in the evening
A great place. Fast check in great room.
Clean, nice room, comfortable bed, decent breakfast, helpful staff and pet friendly
Great place to stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. Rooms: Very clean Rooms : 5/5 |
Very nice place to stay and the lunch was excellent
Check in is friendly. professional, and tbey are there to help you. Rooms are clean. Internet is good. Breakfast is more than adequate.
Very clean, affordable prices, lunch included with the stay. Competent staff. Jessie at reception is very professional and takes the time to welcome us and accompany us if necessary!
Very Comfortable beds and pillows ! And lovely view of the St Lawrence. ! Only issue we had was the heating/cooling unit ..it was not not up to todays standards.
Very welcoming! Heat was turned on and the room was cosy ! The night staff and morning staff were very friendly and spoke to us in English.. we very much appreciated that as we would love to speak French ! Thank you very much for a clean room, great hospitality and great breakfast! See you next year ! Food and drinks: Breakfast was great !
The cottages are quite nice, at the right price point and the staff very friendly.
Very good very clean very good service
Zero
Nice place really clean and spacious rooms on the down side the therapeutic tub wasnt working and the staff didnt offer compensation when I reported it. so customers service is questionable could be the staff on hand. it was our first experience at this location but you dont get a second chance at making a first impression.....
Welcoming staff, beautiful room with balcony, clean room, breakfast included! The only small problem is that none of the exterior power outlets work.
Clean, very comfortable bed, I recommend!
Excellent customer service, very fair price and very spacious room. The whole family enjoyed our stay! Thank you!!
Nice, clean and peaceful place with breakfast included. Loved our night stay. Highly recommended for quality/price.
Very clean nice staff and nice breakfeast
Very clean, pretty room, very comfortable bed, very courteous and attentive service, good hearty breakfast. The establishment has been renovated. We were impressed!
The veiw from are room was amazing room 218
Old and noizy fan, breakfast not great(no buffet), go to a motel
Very comfortable. The only drawbacks were that the water from the sink and shower did not drain well. In the sink the water rose when we brushed our teeth. Not very pleasant to wait for the water to go away. Practically emptied tissue box (3-4 tissues). Otherwise very good.
Small room, musty, dated. Bagged breakfasts.
Usually stay in a cabin , however none were available so I stayed in a room this trip. Prefer the cabins, better privacy, less noise, bigger space. No sit down dine in breakfast yet , big disappointment as the bag of breakfast they offer is a banana and a yogurt. Prices on the rooms should be reduced and skip handing out this poor substitute.Staff says dining room will be transitioning to opening sometime in June. Call ahead before booking and check if the dining room is open yet if this is important for your family, otherwise pick up your own food at the IGA around the corner
Not the cleanest room Ive stayed in
Clean, reasonably priced, with a nice continental breakfast in the morning! Very nice staff as well! Bonus was the large parking spots for those who are trailering....would stop again at this fine motel!
Still not serving normal breakfast and what they give you is still frozen.
The cabin was stuffy and not clean!
Great location we had awesome view from our room. The breakfast was very good
What a beautiful view of the river from the 2nd floor. Super comfortable room. Very nice dining room for lunch.
Perfect place to stop in the way to NB. Comfy though the walls are thin and you can heard people on the hallway and upstairs. Quick to get in and out if youre in a rush
Reception was ok and breakfast food was ok but the room smelled of second hand smoke and I had to deal with coughing for a day afterward. Its weird since it looks like a non smoking hotel. I will not visit again.
Sub-standard hotel. Room is small. Smelly room and washroom. Good we have a room spray. Had to spray the washroom coz of the smell. Would not recommend this hotel.
Wifi fast speed, clean rooms, lots of towels Has fridge, tv, etc Breakfast was meh, not enough hot food breakfast choices
Friendly staff at the friend desk when checking in and checking out. We were traveling with our dog and they were very accommodating, even though they didnt have a pet friendly room in the main hotel available that night, we were offered one of the pet friendly cabins on the property. Very clean and private cabin with all the amenities youll need for your stay. They also had a nice little continental breakfast before you get on the road. Will stay here again when traveling through.
Very tired, aging hotel. Beds were comfortable! Traveling with kids and the pool did not open until 1 pm which was disappointing as we were traveling and had to get on the road. As a Wyndham Rewards member, it was kind of disappointing. Breakfast was okay.
Beautiful place well located with outdoor heated swimming pool
Beautiful room only negative point is the sausages at lunch... best point the director Marc Sirois and his staff provide impeccable service
Very quiet, we had a beautiful little chalet, well equipped. The negative point is that we stayed 2 nights and the maid did not clean our room so no clean towel, and full trash can, no soap etc.
Not sure why some reviews were unfavourable. Our room was clean, beds are fine, plenty of pillows, and I m a happy guest. Free wifi and a breakfast too!
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Suited us perfectly. We stayed the one night (this past Saturday) on the lower level facing the back. We would definitely stay here again.
Okay Large room for 4 and pleasant service
Decent place to stay. A bit pricey at almost $200 for a room was a bit expensive. Breakfast included but not very good
Well located, easy to access, many services nearby, comfortable and relaxing, we will return.
Small bathroom for the size of the room.
Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Roomy for my wheelchair however unable to use the tub. Not equipped with a shower chair. Perfect for a stopover on a journey though. It was quite comfy.
I lnjoyed the room and slept very well. Breakfast was awesome and i will be back.
We stayed in the small chalets and they were were nice and comfortable. A little dated but it was a nice enjoyable stay! There was a kitchen, full fridge and stove with plates and pots and pans there for you. We enjoyed our stay so we booked this place again to stay on our way home frol NS.
I suppose working the desk in a budget hotel may not be glamorous, but there is no excuse for being resentfully rude because a guest requests a receipt. I travel continuously for work, and the morning desk staff here are profoundly unfriendly. We ll be paying a few bucks more next time and will be staying at Hotel Levesque across the street.
Had a disaster with my Van and an injured pup and two others but they really went out of their way. Great staff clean hotel, nice grounds for the pups!
Basic comfort room but a little over priced for what you get. Nice breakfast included.
Overpriced, there was no roommake for 3 nights stay. No microwave in room. Good breakfast and location
GOOD
Very good room, super comfortable bed. Lunch included and swimming pool. Check out at noon, that s great. Dog friendly A big must for anyone traveling with a dog, plus there is a dog fun center two minutes walk away.
Clean, simple, courteous staff. Well received, (breakfast included but not offered in the common room due to sanitary measures) Pick up on site at the reception counter. Simple and different products from the common room breakfast. Coffee available in rooms only by machine.
Excellent, frankly excellent!!
We stayed here as a stopping point along the route to the NL ferry in Nova Scotia. We were unsure what to expect and just saw it as a place to lay our heads. It is a simple hotel/motel but I will say that it over performed. We had requested a main floor room, which we did not get, but in the end we preferred the room we did get even if the stairs were a bit of a challenge for my elderly mom. It was a simple 2nd floor room facing the water and had a lovely view. The room was extremely clean and you could tell that this little older hotel had been taken care of with pride. Many updates were made, including nice flooring and curtains, and other furniture. It didnt feel tired or dated. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. One note/ suggestion for people thinking about staying here, some rooms on the second floor facing the water have balconies and I think that would have been very nice to have.
Very nice hotel, close to everything you need in town. Very good service, nice people, great pool. Amazing view from our room.
Clean and spacious rooms backing on to the river, although we couldnt see the river from the first floor rooms. A few minor problems - no tissues in the bathroom and no hot breakfast options. Parking is a problem. When I returned from getting dinner, there were no parking spots left.
Very welcoming and the perfect motel
Clean and comfortable bed!
Generally good.. But with covid, no cleaning and lunch already ready to improve.
Nice spacious rooms with friendly staff. Close to a lot of amenities and to the river.
Everything were good except breakfast and parking. Breakfast wasn t good at all, and they didn t have space for parking. In general, it is clean and nice room.
Very good despite the location Beautiful swimming pool Charming
Great room. Fantastic view.
Very quiet and peaceful hotel with only 2 floors, so no elevator. Rooms were nice and clean but the washroom was really small as always and had no exhaust.
One star is too much for this hotel We booked for three nights and left the first night, the lady at reception very unpleasant, poor equipment, breakfast a real scam Establishment to avoid
Very old, floors are click flooring and every step you take, the floor cracks. You cant use the air conditioner if you are short, its up at the ceiling and it is too loud anyway, you would never get any sleep. If you can find another hotel in this area, dont stay here, not worth the price.
Okay. Under construction. Hard to find. Needs better lighting
Its rare to take the time to write a review, but the service is so disappointing. Beyond the extremely noisy room (right next to the cleaning ladys closet who starts her services very early), the disappointment of lunch. A small bag with 2 small things to eat, and its not possible to get more. So a very bad experience. And I would like to point out that Covid has nothing to do with preparing a good lunch (I imagine that there are very good caterers capable of offering this service temporarily). So no excuses thank you.
Courteous staff, nice welcome, clean, quiet room
Very small room view of air conditioning equipment
There was a fly in my room. I asked the receptionist if they had a tooth paste and he gave me a used one and told me to return it after using it!!! I was shocked when he asked me to return it especially during covid! The breakfast was horrible, very low quality, and there was a piece of egg shell in my egg sandwish. Usually Wyndham hotels are good, but I had a bad experience here.
Quite run-down and noisy. Due to the pandemic people had to eat their included takeout breakfast in their rooms, and the sound of chairs and tables moving in the room above me was clamorous, as were the sounds of the doors in the hallway. I had stayed just a few weeks before at a Best Western in Edmunston, in a room that cost just $10 more than the Days Inn one, and the atmosphere and quality of furnishings was much higher. BW also had several socially-distanced tables and counters in the lobby where people could eat their takeout breakfasts if they chose to. Id never stayed at a Days Inn before and unless the company has other hotels that have been updated, including public areas that are better-looking, its just better value to go with BW.
Best view from the second floor? Hopefully the comfortable bed will make up for the noise.
Horrible stay if you want to get some shut eye past 6am and need water. Hotel rooms are nice with good beds but that s about it. Too much noise. We also complained to front desk about noisy people upstairs that sounded like they were throwing heavy things on the ground on purpose, they didn t do anything about it. Walls and floors are paper thin. They also sold out of water bottles and didn t replenish. Coffee maker doesn t work, it s a complete run down hotel. You get breakfast in a bag to have in your hotel room which is yogurt parfait that seemed questionable and homemade granola. We didn t want to take any chances with the food after experiencing everything else.
Good welcome, comfortable room, mediocre breakfast
Very good, met our expectations. Conforms to the description.
Clean rooms and super friendly staff. Perfectly bi-lingual. Considering the current health circumstances, they did everything to make our stay perfect.
Excellent room, and the staff were very polite. They also spoke great English. Pet friendly rooms were available, which was a plus. It definitely needs more parking though, I showed up rather late and had to squeeze my car into an unmarked space. My only other complaint is I noticed little small things, like stains on the towels. Unfortunate, but thankfully they provided enough that I could swap out for a clean one.
Despite many of the poor reviews, we just needed a place to lay our heads for one night, so decided to stay here. We dealt with two staff members - the morning person spoke fluent English, the evening guy, spoke very little and made very poor attempts to guide us to the somewhat circuitous route to our room. The room itself, albeit dated, was actually cleaner than we anticipated. The king size bed was good, and slightly larger than the washroom. In the morning when we opened the balcony door, the view of the river was lovely, but the actual screen door fell right off. The fridge contained the remains of the yogurt parfait from someone else s free breakfast, which was included in the room price. There was a strange sort of chemical smell in the room, which we assumed may have been as a result of whatever cleaning materials had been used. Anyone with an environmental allergy would have very likely been quite uncomfortable. We decided to skip the pre-packaged breakfast and instead had a lovely breakfast of homemade whole wheat waffles with real maple syrup, a fresh fruit cup and delicious coffee at Café de la Brûlerie de Rivière-du-Loup. Service was excellent, and included two free coffees for the road!
Very clean, very friendly staff, very nice welcome, very comfortable mattress
Days Inn standard with great river views from even numbered rooms. Roomy balconies. Very clean.
Its not fancy but its clean, well-priced, and conveniently located, just off the highway and near a great grocery store, fast food, etc.
Easy access to car
The same lunch all week, going to get your toilet paper, not great this time
Good hotel, affordable price. The view is very beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. Cleanliness is excellent. Only negative point: the maids spoke really loudly in the hallway at 7 a.m. to share the work. This is unacceptable!!!
Good clean accommodation.
Room was large, clean and the view was beautiful! No elevator so carrying up luggage was difficult. Website states Restaurant and when we got there we found out the restaurant is not open. No tea in the room, only coffee and no coffee or tea available at breakfast. Breakfast was a bag of takeout with an egg salad wrap or yogurt parfait and no other choices. Stayed in October so might be better during the busy season.
Very nice room but a little expensive with a small dog
Beautiful views of the great river. Comfy bed. Nice people.
Good location for a stop over. The cabins are nice for ease of access.
Cozy place to stay in when you are inside. There are rooms outside as well and lm not sure about the experience.
