90 Rte de l'Anse-au-Persil, Rivière-du-Loup, QC G5R 1E2, Canada
Refined guesthouse offering 1 warmly decorated suite with a balcony & river views.
We got referred to this place by my brother. What a wonderful experience!! The place was super clean, cozy with lots of character. The breakfast was impeccable, service, presentation and delicious!! We highly recommend this venue!
We cannot begin to describe how special this B&B is, along with its owner, Adrien. Quaint, comforable, unique, cozy. The room is essentially the entire attic. Plenty of windows and light with stunning views of the river. The breakfast is THREE COURSES of extertly prepared bliss (don't eat dinner the night before!) Adrien treats you like loved family members. We went out for a night walk and came back to chilled water, a lovely note and a bedtime chocolate waiting for us on the stairs. Adorable! Highly recommend!
We stayed here in early July on our way from Ontario to New Brunswick. After looking at pictures online, and speaking to Adrien on the phone, we were excited to spend a night here. Adrien greeted us warmly and took time to explain the layout of the home and loft. We were amazed at the artwork, the antique tub with chandelier, décor, grand piano in the breakfast room, and overall ambiance. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The three course gourmet breakfast was meticulously prepared and delicious. We will be back, and will recommend it to our friends. Merci Adrien!
Unpretentious and genuine hospitality. Loved the private, cosy and well appointed suite with a wonderful view of the majestic Saint Lawrence. The separate sitting area was a bonus, as well as, the terrace where we watched the sunset over the river. Thank you Adrien, for a lovely and relaxing stay. The breakfast and coffee the next morning was outstanding!
Stayed here based on a recommendation from a family member who loved it as well. Loved the spacious loft on the top of the house, adding to the spectacular view of the water. The loft is very tastefully decorated with a cozy library kind of feel. Bed was extremely comfortable. My wife loved the 4 legged tub. Adrien, the host, was more than accommodating. From the time we arrived, we were shown to our rooms and went over the amenities the place had to offer, which were fantastic. The next morning, Adrien served us a gourmet 3 course breakfast, starting off with a yogurt/fruit parfait, followed by a smoked salmon eggs Benedict, finishing with a fruit crepe. Adrien was a wonderful man with many stories to tell. We absolutely loved how kind and sweet he was with us. We were traveling from Richibucto, NB back to Montreal and decided to stay here to break up our trip back. We were so thankful we decided to stay at Adrien’s place. It was an experience my wife Denise and I will never forget. Rick & Denise Baker
A very diffferent accomodation. We were made to feel very welcome by Adrien. The sole room is the entire top floor of the house; if you need a walkin shower it is on the first floor. Good heating and ventilation. Great view out over the St. Lawrence though we drove down to the waterside to watch the sunset.||The next day a feast was prepared for our breakfast!!! We did not eat again that day. Every companent was well prepared and cooked and presented.||Adrien is a very kind and courteous host, thoroughly recommended.
We loved meeting Adrien and staying at his delightful and unique Bed & Breakfast. I felt as if we were visiting an adoring Uncle from Paris in his wonderful home. He treated us as if we were family. So kind and helpful. What a chef! His breakfast was remarkable and so delicious. The environment was magical and interesting. ||||My husband and I loved the accommodations, with so many items to look at, take photos of, with a breathtaking view of the water out of the bedroom and breakfast area windows. Adrien has a background that should be documented in a book. We absolutely loved meeting him. We will stay on our next adventure east from Ontario! Thank you Adrien. You are a sweet and pleasant man who we will never forget.
La Maison du Restaurateur was a wonderful stop on our travels along the Quebec countryside, Adrien was a superb host greeting us on the front porch,my husband was offered a beer as he stepped out of the car from a long day of travelling...it doesn’t get better then that! We were treated like family, and will most certainly stop here if we travel this way again. The breakfast that Adrien prepared was delectable...three courses the crepes were out of this world. The view of the St Lawrence was stunning! It is a happy place!
Wonderful stay with Adrien, an incredible host, passionate, interesting and caring. He is keen to welcome you into his home and make you happy and it was a success, we felt privileged. The delicious 3-course lunch will fill you up for the day :) The view of the river and its sunset, as well as the tastefully decorated house, are the icing on the cake. I will come back to visit Adrien, that s for sure!
Three times this season we visited Adrien, like his three breakfast courses, everything is perfect. A gîte and a host not to be missed if you are in the Rivière-du-Loup area.
This cottage deserves more than 5 stars.. everything is absolutely perfect.. the photos reflect 100% what you will see when you arrive. Mr Adrien is an exceptional host, he will do everything to exceed your expectations. He is attentive, generous, interesting, etc. The lunch served at a time that suits you was copious and very tasty. The place is impeccable.. the view is exceptional.. I recommend without hesitation. Thank you Mr Adrien.. we will come back
If you want to treat yourself this is the ideal place. You are the only guests of your host. Intimate, warm and professional, not to mention the excellent, copious and refined lunch that was served to us. Not to mention the view of the river. A must-see place to add to your list of places to visit. To redo
M Patrice is an extraordinary host, hearty breakfast and the comfortable room is like a really SUPER suite
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT Sunday June 4, on the way to our trip to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, my wife and I stayed at the Auberge du Restaurateur well run by the very friendly Mr. Adrien Boucher, who does everything there himself , including the interview and your breakfast in the morning, which he prepares expertly, drawing on his experience as a former restaurateur. He lives on the ground floor and the basement and the suite he offers for rental is on the 2nd floor. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome from the affable Mr. Boucher and by the quality of his accommodation and his cuisine at breakfast. It is a very calm and charming place of residence. Our only regret? Having only stayed there one evening. On a satisfaction scale of 1 to 10 I give it.... nothing less... than... 11! Rooms: In fact its a sequel. Bedroom, with private bathroom, and living room. All on the 2nd floor. Food and drinks: Mr. Boucher is responsible for cooking breakfast himself and he comes through with flying colors thanks to his experience as a former restaurateur.
Little gem. Clean, beautiful interior and design. Fabulous 3 course breakfast. We will definitely return.
La Maison du Restaurateur is a little corner of paradise due to its location, the charm of the house, the beautiful sunsets over the river, the copious, delicious and all-homemade breakfast, but also and above all due to its owner, Adrien. We spent two nights there with our two children and had a lot of fun there. Thank you again for the welcome and the little touches that make all the difference! Rooms: Cleanliness, space, comfortable bedding Food and drinks: Dream breakfast!
We were very fortunate to have secured a booking at this most wonderful place. Very clean , very cosy and the host was a very friendly and professional man. I highly recommend . Rooms: The room and living area was unique and full of art and many lovely and curious items . Nearby activities: Great sites and nice area for walks. Food and drinks: The breakfast was absolutely first class .
Calm, beauty of the room and elegance of our personal host! Cleanliness, delicate touches and delicious lunches are our corner of paradise that we were lucky to have to end our vacation!! The restaurateur s house is pure HAPPINESS!! Thank you Mr Adrien Marie Chantal and Sylvain
My partner and I are regulars at the cottages and I can tell you that La maison du restaurateur stands out. Welcome, cleanliness, size of the loft, kindness of the host. No doubt we will return! Rooms: very large room, very clean and well equipped. Comfortable bed. Nearby activities: Near the city Safety: Very strong feeling of security
A super beautiful place with an exceptional welcome, a lunch worthy of a great restaurant. Thank you Adrien for your great humanity and your kindness.
We had a great time at Adriens. Adrien is a very attentive and generous host. He insisted on welcoming us in person despite our late arrival. We enjoyed chatting upon our arrival and around the delicious breakfast he cooked for us. The accommodation was very pleasant and comfortable. It is fully equipped and offers a beautiful view of the Saint-Laurent. We will keep this sweet memory of our stay with Adrien for a long time. Thank you for this moment of sharing, timeless, which feels good!
The view was fabulous from the room, the balcony and the breakfast table. Adrien, the owner, welcomed us very warmly and was able to meet our needs. Lunch was delicious and well proportioned. The apartment was very clean and quiet. We will definitely go back!
Very nice view of the river with excellent service and a very tasty lunch!
What a treat! A beautiful location, with great views , but the host Adrien is what makes this place even more special! Charming, attentive and a whiz in the kitchen. The breakfasts were HEARTY and his plating is like a work of art! We would highly recommend this place to anyone! Magnfique! Merci Adrien! A la prochaine fois!
What a pleasant experience. Thanks to Adrien for his welcome, his magnificent cottage and his culinary talents.
Warm, clean, rustic place and what can we say about the owner who watches over your well-being at all times. Magnificent view of the river, sunset included. Adrien knows how to start the day with a hearty breakfast, all homemade, even yogurt with fruit, eggs benedict, orange juice and coffee, and save a little room for the pancakes that arrive in the third course. Thank you Adrien (which takes you back to the door and stays there until departure)
It was a very nice meeting that we had with Adrien. Our host welcomed us with open arms into his beautiful home. Unparalleled kindness, we felt at home. A memorable sunset and a sumptuous breakfast. We can only recommend!
Exceptional place. One customer at a time, Mr. Adrien dressed in his most beautiful clothes welcomes us with heart. The suite is magnificent with its view of the river and the sunsets. And what can we say about lunch other than that it is worthy of a fine restaurateur. Bravo and long life to this wonderful host!
A very pleasant stay. The welcome was magnificent and the breakfast was delicious. The owner is so nice, very professional and we had a great time talking with him. I highly recommend it
The stay was incredible!!! What a beautiful person Mr. Adrien! You must stop and take a break by coming to recharge your batteries by the river while enjoying a succulent lunch
M.Adrien or the location of the cottage and the decor...hummm I can only put them on an equal footing, both are wonderful! Thank you Mr Adrien, we had a very nice stay!
We were received like princes This place and perfect comfortable bed with lots of space and a breathtaking view comfort assured Our very dedicated host and the 3-course lunch WoW Thanks again
We were looking for a place to stay that served breakfast. The accommodations were more spacious than expected, and very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. The host told us we would not need lunch and he was right! We will definitely recommend this place.
Very good welcome. Very clean place and a resplendent view of the river. I recommend this place and especially the friendliness of its host Mr. Boucher.
A little haven of peace! Superb view! A caring and generous host, taking great care of his guests, excellent breakfast and coffee! A refreshing break. Thank you Adrien!
We cannot recommend this B&B enough, we would give this place 6 starts if we could! The owner was so welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable and the view was just breathtaking!! The 3 course breakfast was the cherry on top. Overall, one of our best B&B experience, thank you Adrian for a lovely stay :).
A caring and warm man, with unparalleled kindness. A quiet place with a decoration that will take you away from it all. A small balcony with a breathtaking view of the river and the Charlevoix mountains, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee, lovingly prepared by your host Adrien. A sunset to dream of. A 3-course, 5-star breakfast ( in my opinion ) prepared in front of you, always with this magnificent view. I must also mention to you that during your stay you will be the only guests in this magnificent place so all the attention of the brave Adrien will be dedicated to you and let me tell you that it is obvious that he loves what he does and that he loves his customers. Enjoy your stay everyone and if I could have stayed longer I would have done so with pleasure.
To recommend excellent quiet room and good breakfast
Very nice and cozy place to stay. Extremely clean and surprizing decor. The host is an amazing gentleman. Breakfast is included and served at ones convenience. Highly recommend the place
Amazing experience, cozy and unique ambiance, welcoming and caring host and delicious breakfasts. Our children really felt welcome too. The room is very spacious and beautifully decorated. We will be back without a doubt when well be in the area.
We loved our stay. The Suite room is simply magnificent with a direct view of the river, all in a stylish and picturesque old-world decor. Adrien is a friendly host who welcomed us warmly. Thank you for the great discussions. This hostel is a little gem.
Very nice stay in a charming little cottage!! Adrien was a very attentive host and keen to provide good hospitality to his guests! Very nice and super fine! There is also a beautiful view for sunset, near the seaside! It makes a good brunch too! I recommend 100%!
Generous welcome, very original property, comfortable and clean. Mr. Adrien is extremely friendly and he is a source of stories, each one as fascinating as the next. In addition, the man who proudly welcomes us into his home is ready to adapt to the needs and desires of his visitors in order to make the stay perfect; nothing is left to chance. Customer service is the hosts priority and we give them a 100% rating for our entire stay.
Very warm host, keen to meet the needs of his customers and cultivated. Clean, charming place, wonderful view, comfortable beds. Several amenities. Hearty and tasty lunch. We highly recommend it, especially to lovers of history and antiques.
My wife and I spent a night at La Maison du Restarantuer returning from Perce. The single upstairs accommodation consists of a very spacious and comfortable sitting room with plush leather couch, chairs & large screen TV and hardwood floors through out. The adjacent bedroom comes with all the romance one could ask for! Fireplace, claw leg tub with a real candle candelabra, bathrobes for two, and a comfy bed overlooking the St Lawrence. A private balcony sitting area was the perfect spot for a glass of wine before bedtime. We were served a three course breakfast that was was extra delicious with a yogurt parfait, fruit tray, Salmon Eggs Benedict and gourmet coffee - all prepared beside you. Our host Adrian was a delightful, kind caring person whos mission was to give you the best possible B&B experience. Weve stayed at many B&Bs, several are as good, but none are better!!!!! Dennis & Vivian
We arrived late in the evening and all of the hotels etc were complet. We were lucky to find this place. Our host Adrian was great and fed us a beautiful breakfast of smoked salmon eggs Benedict followed by wonderful crèpes with baked apple wedges and maple syrup.
M Adrien is an exceptional character who provides unparalleled service to his clients. The suite is very comfortable and what can we say about the view of the river from the terrace! In addition, the breakfast is of rare quality and prepared with care, worthy of a 5-star restaurant. Congratulations on your gîte M Adrien, we loved our stay with you. Christian and MJ
Mr. Adrien is a very attentive host and he knows how to put us at ease as soon as we arrive. We had a lot of fun chatting with him at lunch, which by the way was absolutely delicious and plentiful! The room is very comfortable and what can we say about the view of the river. Thank you for this wonderful stay. Annick and François Sioui
a delightful place. Adrien considers every detail and was the most gracious host imaginable. and the Breatfast! wow!
Magnificent place the view of the sunset is postcard worthy! A distinguished and discreet but very warm host. The room was perfect! Clean and functional, the bed comfortable and cozy. Hearty lunch excellent really worth the stop! Very close to the city so everything is quickly accessible! We had just toured the Gaspésie and it was our last stop before returning home and frankly of all the places we stayed it was the one we preferred and the one that welcomed us the best! Well done Mr. Adrien, it was perfect!
The most adorable house and welcoming owner. Great views, really comfortable bed and delicious breakfast! Would highly recommend
We received a warm welcome from our host. A beautiful atmosphere reigns over the place and we have a magnificent view of the river. Freshly made lunch awaited us in the morning. In short, breathtaking decoration and paintings by a remarkable artist, attention from our host who cares about our well-being, a delicious lunch. This place is worth the trip! We will definitely return!
Nice place!
Wonderful inn, and very gracious and hospitable host. Amazing 3 course breakfast. Views of the St. Lawrence from the bedroom windows. I would definitely recommend it.
Fantastic stop. Room was exactly what we were looking for. Breakfast was amazing as well. The owner couldnt have been a nicer guy. Recommend checking it out.
Mr. Adrien is a very welcoming and warm man. The 3-course lunch was delicious and the room was very comfortable and clean. Beautiful stay magnificent view.
Very good accommodation, fabulous lunch, fit for a king.
What a pleasant stay with Adrien. The room was large and very well decorated. The bedrooms multiple windows overlook the St. Lawrence River. You will be able to enjoy a magnificent sunset and possibly the presence of marine animals if you are lucky. You couldnt be better welcomed than by Adrien. This host is exceptionally kind and he loves to serve and please. We immediately felt very good when we arrived. Adrien will spoil you the next morning with his exceptional breakfast. We ate so well that we were full until the end of the afternoon. Adrien likes contact and we were moved when we left. We will remember this night spent at Adriens for a long time, we have also recommended it to friends who will come soon during their trip to Quebec.
I now know where I can find the best breakfast in Quebec! Adrien deserves more than 5 stars. Spacious and comfortable room, cozy living room, magnificent view. But more than anything, a warm man who gives with passion and listens to his guests. We can only recommend this incredible address but not too much... To find a place during our next visit.
Impeccable customer service with an extraordinary royal suite! Very friendly place where you can fully experience all the quintessence of a bed & breakfast; the room is worthy of the greatest hotels and the lunch or dinner is simply incredible!!
Great B & B with beautiful views. Peaceful and spacious bedroom with separate sitting room and gorgeous bathroom. An outside terrace with table and chairs overlooking the river. Adrien, our host, was gracious and served the best breakfast; yogurt with fruit, eggs Benedict with salmon, crepes with fruit and syrup, juice and coffee. We left relaxed, full, and grateful!
Very personalized welcome, splendid site, exceptional gourmet lunch. A must-see accommodation in R-D-Loup & rating 10/10. Bravo Mr. Adrien and a stay to repeat. Danielle & Raynald, Ste-Adèle, Qc.
We were so very happy with our stay here! The accommodations were beautiful and our 3 course breakfast was amazing!
Quiet, cozy, authentic, welcoming.
We travel a lot and try to stay at B&B as often as we can. We have never had a bad experience at a B&B (but we do check review before booking). Having said that this is probably the best B&B we have stayed at for the accommodations, cleanest and the best by far 3 course breakfast, The host Adrien is as nice as they come and made us feel like family. One thing for sure we will not stay anywhere else if he has a room available when we go by. 10/10.
An incredible experience, Adrien adds to it with his unparalleled culinary talents!
Very pleasant stay
