Auberge Amerilys is a lovely little auberge in Riviere du Loup. Clean updated rooms in a quiet area of city. Nice sitting area right outside your room for a nightcap. Close to restaurants and city shopping center.
We were very fortunate there was one room left at this auberge. We never imagined Riviere du Loup would be so booked a Thursday in mid September! The room was the reception called an economy room. The room was compact and the bathroom and especially the shower were very compact. Think of a cruise ship cabin. Modern decor, little table and two chairs in front of room. Key pad lock based on the last digits of your phone, great WiFi. Fridge, micro and coffee maker even in the economy room. Heating and cooling system very efficient and quiet. Some noise from nearby street and room next door but not sufficient to interrupt a good night's sleep.
Our car broke down on our way to the Maritimes. Every hotel in town was full, but we managed to snag the last room. It was clean and cute and within walking distance of a great restaurant. The manager, Francis, bent over backwards to try to help us get a tire for our expensive, German car. He went over and beyond the call of duty. THANK YOU so much. If ever we are in the area, we will stay there again.
This hotel is recently renovated and very clean. The staff were friendly and provided us information about nearby places. It is quiet in the evening and the bed is comfortable. The location is kinda in the middle between Gaspé and east Ontario, so I would recommend this place to stay if you plan to have two day drive to arrive at Gaspé.
When we checked in to the Auberge Amerilys, we felt like we were part of the family. Many previous reviewers have also indicated they found the staff extremely friendly, and I want you to know that this has not changed. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, plus there was enough space to move around your suitcases easily. This Auberge is located right beside an excellent restaurant, Le Saint-Patrice. This allows you to relax on your porch, with some refreshment, and then walk next door for dinner. Shopping is literally a block away also. A great spot to stay while in Riviere-du-Loup.
Clean but very small. Riverview is obstructed by trees. No restaurant at hotel. Amenities nearby. Asked for wine glasses and they dud not have any. Room has mini fridge, good wifi and cable TV. A little pricey for what you get but in a pinch it is an alright place to sleep.
Extremely small bathroom! I don't know how the manage to fit a full bathroom on a 4' X 4' space a whole 24 SQF of bathroom. The only plus of the such a small place is that you can wash your feet in the shower, brush your teeth in the sink and sit on the toilet at the same time 😂 I took my multitasking skills to the next level on this place. The most important part is that the bed was comfy and the place looks in good condition and very well maintained. Front desk did mention that the units are up for renovation soon. Another thing I didn't get was the presence of an ironing board but no iron. I was informed that the hotel provides no irons. But they do provide a iron board. ☹️️
The Auberge has a bit of a motel vibe because of its layout, but has a modern look and decor. Our room looked very pretty, the bed was comfy, the shower was nice, etc. The only negative thing was that the air conditioning was not doing a great job of cooling down the room. However, the price was fair and I would go again.

Very clean, very comfortable. Small, but perfect for a stopover. Fridge available and bath/shower with pressure and space. Located next to an incredible Italian restaurant, St-Patrice, a must!!! Otherwise, watch out for the white kitty blanket in the sheets, it gets hot in summer despite the adjustable heat pump. The insulation of the walls is not incredible though (room 18)... you can hear people moving around in the next room (17).
Good value for money. Its clean and well maintained, very friendly and fast service. Located at a reasonable distance from points of interest. However, very poorly isolated in terms of sound. We were able to deduce what languages were spoken in neighboring rooms.
This is a sparkling new hotel. Our room was modern, clean, and well appointed. I can t recommend this hotel strongly enough.

Beautiful modern room design, clean room setup, bathroom water is strong and nice, plenty of hot water. No free water bottle provided, and there is microwave and refrigerator in room. BUT!!!??? What is that door behind that full body mirror!!??
Nice room good price
Very nice spot, modern room, a bit small but great if you are traveling from maritimes to Ottawa or Montreal. One thing that really needs to upgraded is their wifi, so slow it will not run YouTube or Netflix

Went to Riviere du Loup for Canada Day Long weekend and had Incredible stay at Auberge Amerilys. Clean, hospitable, walking distance to restaurants, park and little shops. The owner Francis is professional and goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect! Cant wait to visit this cute little town once more, we will definitely stay here again!!!

small room but basically we go there to sleep, everything was redone super beautiful and super comfortable bed, perfect decor I recommend and by the way I recommend you book directly with the hotel and not with the reservation site price is cheaper than display everywhere.

Alright! The rooms and exterior maintenance of the premises are excellent. The only downside is the immediate environment which doesnt look like much, but for the comfort, the service and the cleanliness of the place, the place is worth stopping there.

Good location between uptown and downtown. Quiet at night. Close to grocery and restaurants. Room was clean and modern. Hot water was slow to come but lots of it once it reaced our room. Staff bilingual and very helpful. Room had a microwave and fridge.
