A nice surprise, after choosing it a bit at random on google maps. A special mention for the 2 tuna tartare and for the friendliness of the staff.

We were greeted with a big smile as soon as we entered by a man, whose name I dont remember, who was friendly and kind. Subsequently, the chef, Maxime I think, I remember the faces but not the names, he came to our table to recommend the salmon Wellington, just wow, really delicious. For the service, I think we got the best of the best, hey no I dont remember her name, but she comes from Pohenegamook. She was attentive, our dishes arrived at the right time, always smiling, very sociable. Its simple, from start to finish, we were pampered. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for everything.

We really regret believing the 4.6 rating , the cold food and the high price are unimaginable. a very terrible and unpleasant experience.

The fish is very good but I dont recommend the fried fish because the batter that coats the fish is like that of a pogo, not crispy and poorly seasoned.

The place is nice, the staff friendly and welcoming. The food was really good, nothing to say, it was perfect. The only small thing to complain about would be the portion, I would have liked a little more. I recommend that you go there without hesitation, its worth it.

Our waitress, Ariane, was very friendly and cheerful and gave us excellent service. I highly recommend this place. They also have a childrens menu. The pizza was really excellent.

Wow wow wow. What a gastronomic discovery at the bottom of the river. Excellent service and little touches that make this Restaurant a must. They even changed the menu to remove the lobster sauce for my partner who is severely allergic. Thank you to the whole team for a memorable evening.

We had booked a week in advance for 10 people in the evening as part of a sports weekend. Arriving there, we had the Valentines Day table dhôte menu imposed on us... No possibility of modifying or having only the main course. Both at the time of booking or on the website we could be informed. Whats a shame is that the waitress was stuck with this discomfort. She still provided good service. For the meal, good but not extraordinary for the price set on this menu. You certainly want to increase your profit but you also choose this type of comment. Next sporting or other trip here = not at home! No good publicity to give you for the future!

Pleasant atmosphere, the meal is good, but average service. The bottles of wine that arrived after the meal, we were disappointed when you pay $100 for a meal.

Excellent service

My two dishes were not satisfactory. Dining experience was poor. Ordered the onion soup and it was not authentic at all, which you would expect from a French restaurant. It came heated not coming out from oven. The bread, cheese and soup felt like three seperate ingredients, I could have bought the soup from a store for 1/4 of the price. My other dish of parmesan and goat cheese tasted awful, salad on its side was bland and mixed with the side tomato sauce which tasted awful... while the breaded cheese on top of the dish was less tasty than an average burger mozzarella patty. Those on the table dining with me enjoyed their meal, one liked the pizza, the other loved the meat another said the steak isnt special. I didnt give it 1* cause of the person who enjoyed the meat. That is money NOT well spent.

To respond to the owner: the food is very good. However we went on Valentines Day and I understand that it is a very busy time. We arrived for our reservation at 5:30 p.m., not late, and after being seated we had to wait around 6:25 p.m. for someone to come see us. So about 1 hour without having anything to eat or drink. I wouldnt have minded if we hadnt been told to leave at 7:15 p.m. for the other shift. For a dinner that cost me around $90 for one person (including drinks) I would have liked to have had time to finish my dessert

My wife and I, had a wonderful dinner during a snowstorm. Food and staff were excellent. Our French is not the best but they took great care of us. Planning a trip back this summer on the way to N.B. cant wait for another great meal.

We were passing through Rivière-du-Loup and the place was highly recommended to us by the owner of our inn. My boyfriend ordered a lasagna with two sauces which was delicious and very filling. I ordered mushroom ravioli in a portobello and blue cheese sauce. The plate arrives, I thought the portion would be larger and unfortunately I was left hungry. The dish was delicious and tasty (I didnt see many pieces of portobello, but still, I repeat that the dish was super good!) but I would have liked to have a little more! Luckily, my boyfriend shared his hearty lasagna with me! Yes, I would return to Saint-Patrice, but I would find out about the size of the portions. The service was impeccable, our waitress super nice!

My husband and I were travelling back to Ontario from NB and found this divine spot in Rivière du Loup and had dinner there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were so impressed by our server, Zachari who spoke both French and English, as he assisted us with our order. We decided upon the Table d hôte and we were not disappointed. The cream of vegetable soup was light and flavourful. The main was so good! Shrimp risotto surrounded by perfect seasonal vegetables plus the most tender, melt in your mouth steak we ve had in a very long time. The Caesar salad was just terrific. Dessert was blueberry cheesecake which was smooth and rich. Zachari was attentive but not intrusive. He made our meal very memorable because he genuinely wanted to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant. A bit noisy but it is hard to find a truly quiet restaurant these days. We were upstairs and louder tables were definitely downstairs!!

Excellent food!! Almost nothing to complain about. Apart from a few details its 5 star!!! A must to try!! We loved it so much that we went back when we returned from vacation!! The crème brûlée is amazing!! Everything is tasty and delicious!!! Only one problem is the second evening the service was not very good or fast. We had to ask several times for her to come see us and she didnt know her menus and products well and she wasnt very friendly, even downright disinterested. It took about 10 minutes before we called her to tell her we were ready to order and about 15 minutes after we were cleared before she came to us for dessert. Luckily we got our drinks in the meantime. But the first evening the service was perfect! So maybe it was news... Anyway, I still gave the service 4/5.

Tourist trap - comically bad. Save your money and go to Pizza Hut, its cheaper and at least the pizza is actually edible. Service was mediocre at best. Outdated decor, dusty and smelled of damp. The prices are absurd and do not match the quality of service, or the food. Dont waste your money in this dump.

What an excecrable experience in terms of service and atmosphere. We had reservations for a Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The hostess at reception directs us to the bistro side and assigns us a table for two. Immediately after sitting down, we noticed that the volume of the music was somewhat excessive, especially since the speaker was aimed directly at our table. In addition, the selection leaves something to be desired for such a place (pop music in poor taste). After waiting several minutes (too many minutes) for the waiter (visibly inexperienced) to come take our order, we asked him to change tables. I notice that the set-up (paper napkin, knife-large fork-tablespoon are on the same side) corresponds more to a restaurant for $25 per table dhôte than to a fine cuisine restaurant. The person accompanying me asked for non-alcoholic wine and the waiter replied that he did not have any (thus contradicting the hostess at the reception). The soup was passable, but lackluster, and the main courses (seafood fettuccine and mushroom ravioli) were OK, but small. We waited an inordinate amount of time for the plates of our soups to be cleared, no one offered to refill our glasses of water, nor came to inquire if everything was to our liking and we waited again too long to be asked if we wanted anything else. We wish them a competent butler to resolve these problems and we wish ourselves never to return there again

Editing my review, because I tried to come back, had my dog with me so tried to get takeout (says its available here), walked here and was told 30 minute wait but no takeout service. I wouldve waited 30-45 minutes and not taken a table. I understand it can be busy, but what a disappointment.

Unfortunately disappointed on my second visit! Saturday evening I ordered a risoto with shrimp and scallops, I found the seafood not cooked enough, I made some by the waitress who told me that you have to say the cooking you want! I am surprised to learn that you can ask for the kind of cooking like a steak! This is the first time Ive heard that!

Nice place, nice atmosphere (appropriate music and not loud) We had as a starter: onion soup and soup of the day. Both very good. Then fish and chips and Caesar salad (yes, the dish is composed that way) and for me the gnocchi. I loved the gnocchi (served with kale, broccoli, onion, chili pepper, dried tomato). A delight! Good service with a smile, fast without being rushed. I recommend and will return when in the area.

Bit concerned when they said they were full but we could go upstairs if we liked. Turned out there was another dining room upstairs which we thought was more cosy and intimate. Food was good but not outstanding. Server was very attentive and spoke English which was a great help. Would probably go again if we were in the area.

Were on vacation in Rivière-du-Loup (2 adults) and ordered from this restaurant: a pizza and (asked for) a typical starter from the region. The pizza, worth around $15, was good but the size of a dessert plate it didnt fill our stomachs much. The starter, worth $25, consisted of pulled pork, smoked without bread or rusks with some shrimp which we told came from the North Coast but judging by the size, they seemed more to have been fished in Oceania! For the price, very disappointing.

Nice service but not in sync and especially for a restaurant of this type. Just good but absolutely not worth the price. Bloody poorly proportioned and undrinkable. Starters not served at the same time...they had forgotten it!!!. Bland main course. In short, just edible, nothing more.

Excellent place for a special birthday dinner with a remarkable starter that was shared: seafood trilogy composed of products smoked on site. Meal completed by a super filet mignon with a remarkable sauce for one and cod for the other. Welcoming staff and good atmosphere with white tablecloths. We had dinner at this location this Saturday evening, were immediately greeted and seated, with fairly quick service to begin with. Our aperitifs arrive, then the starters and the soup from the table dhôte for 2. So far, so good. It was from the main meal that the experience really disappointed us. The shrimp were rancid according to my friend, but according to me they hadnt been fresh for a while. The lobster potatoes were bathed in a bath of salty sauce, as if they had used the water from the lobster to cook and mashed their potato. The vegetables are frozen vegetables, quite disappointing for a table dhôte... my partner liked the beef shoulder, and I liked the risotto, so we made do with that. The waitress saw that our plate was practically intact, but did not ask us if we liked the meal... The crème brûlée was literally burnt, not caramelized/grilled, and my friends cake tasted so much like peanuts that it felt like you were taking a spoon straight from a pot... I think the kitchen could do with some rethinking dish as well as the quantity of seasoning in them but also that waitresses should be more attentive to the satisfaction of their customers. I hesitated to leave a review since when I look at the other negative comments I see the condescending responses from the owner but since I did not enjoy my experience I think it is necessary that I speak about it. Hoping this comment doesnt come across as empty, because we go to restaurants about 4 times a week, and we regularly eat seafood meals like Im crazy about, but have probably never had such a dish horrible... The other people in the restaurant seemed to enjoy their experience, so maybe its just bad luck, but bad enough that we wont go back, especially after spending $170 in the butter...

Delightful little restaurant. Cindy made us feel so welcome and anticipated our every need till we finished our meal. The chef very kindly accommodated our request for onion soup (which was excellent) even though it was not on their lunch menu! The lasagna was excellent and the private room was very comfortable, the menu is very varied because they took all the dishes from the 3 restaurants divided into the same restaurant before they closed everything, I recommend this restaurant!
