Horrible! Avocado was not ripe in my dynamite roll which may also explain why I did not get the avocado rolls I ordered and instead cucumber rolls. Tempura serving non-existent, Wasabi had no flabour. Worst sushi experience ever.
We walked in around 5 pm, we were the only customers, yet the staff stared at us for a minute, didn't say anything, she went back to do what she was doing. We waited some more, finally we asked her could we dine in, she said "yes" and went back to whatever she was doing, she didn't tell us where to sit. So we stood there for a little bit longer, then asked her where we could sit, she said "anywhere". She didn't give us a menu, so...we waited for quite a while until we asked her politely. The words on menu were too small, I had a problem reading it. Finally the sushi came in a take out box, no dishes, no utensils. The salmon pieces were frozen! It was awful. Chewing crunch raw fish with rice, it was the worst experience I have ever had.
Worst service, arrogant employee 😡 more than that the floor is dirty and the tables were sticky and still has stuff from previous clients! The employee was enjoying her subway sandwich and gave us the impression we were disturbing her break! I do not recommend at all this particular place.
Everything was bad. The girls working there were rude to my husband because he had a heavy English accent when speaking French.. even after they messed up our order and he had to return to have them fix it. A spicy salmon poke bowl... they only had lettuce rice and salmon. Then when he came back and we tasted it we realized it was smoked salmon which was also wrong! My son had a sushi box and the salmon nigiri was on a huge ball of rice that looked so clumsily made. 3 people were working there and the restaurant was very dirty even though it was empty. Tables and floors were dirty. Crumbs of food everywhere even the garbage was full. This place is a disgrace and it ruined my meal and sushi experience. For the price you pay this is unacceptable. Supermarket sushi would have been better!

Service was horible, staff was not very knowledgeable of food (i.e. does not know if item contains animal products) the tables and floors were dirty, food was ok at best and everything was on the same plate dispute us being 2 people one of us being vegan. Got a 6pcs Kappa Roll and a wakame salad. The salad was the worst I've ever had and the roll was lazily put together. To top it all off the only soy sauce they had was in a 1/4 cup container and when I asked for wasabi I was given an obscene amount (about 1/4 cup, see photo for visual) which is rediculus for a tray of sushi let alone 6 pieces. When I said it was too much was the guy said "it doesn't matter we throw it out anyways" An absolute discrace to all sushi places in the world and discustingly wasteful, the staff doesn't seem to care about the work or the clients. 0/10 I definitely don't recommend, seriously whether you love or hate sushi don't go here.
I ordered sushi and it was inedible. After eating 1 I went to return them and as they were too busy they didnt make them again or refund me. After several calls I gave up on the refund. The person did not know how to make sushi and had not been trained. 0 quality and 0 customer service.
Stop that I often make in Rivière-du-Loup when I pass by, quick, efficient and access close to the highway.

VERY DISAPPOINTED AGAIN with my experience. Very small sushi compared to before. CUSTOMER SERVICE is still bad. Billing problem for me and the 4 employees stared at me behind the counter when I tried to explain my problem. I paid for the combo and she refused to give me my drink because she hadnt entered it as a combo on the system. Barred for life for our family. The manager is very rude and stupid. I do not recommend!

The staff is welcoming and they made my order very quickly despite the dinner rush. Well done! I recommend :) Kid-friendliness: Special drink for children and a very wide variety that pleases even picky children

What bad service.... the person at the counter only had two vocabulary words: yes or no... no explanation no smile.... I took an already ready tray which must have been there for a long time the panko was rendered soft soggy. In short, very bad experience
I recently dined at Sushi Shop in Rivière-du-Loup and what a wonderful experience! The sushi was fresh, tasty and well presented. The team was welcoming and the service impeccable. The place exudes cleanliness and a soothing atmosphere. If you are a sushi enthusiast or want to try it for the first time, I highly recommend this place. A must-see if you pass through Rivière-du-Loup!

First experience at this Sushi Shop and I was disappointed. There were three employees, one of whom had a really unpleasant attitude and complained about customers. The salmon on my salmon nigiri was not made from a large fresh salmon fillet but from sliced smoked style salmon My makis were very small like hosomakis. I dont have a photo because I didnt think I would post a comment, but there is room for improvement.

Si vous aimez les sushi n allez pas là. Ce n est pas des sushis, c est des rouleaux de pâte à moshi. Le riz est compact et gluant, signe qu il a été trop manipulé. Oubliez les baguettes, la garniture ne se tient pas, même en mangeant avec les doigts d ailleurs. Peu de garniture et trois fois trop de riz. Dernier 60$ dépensé à cet endroit, pour moi c est de la fraude.
Unfortunately bad experience for us. I called the branch for the first time to order a Quebec combo at 6:23 p.m., I was informed that making a Quebec combo would cause waste since it was halves of sushi. I tell the clerk that I am going to prepare another order. I called back about ten minutes later, here was my order: a Dynamite, a Phoenix, Syake tempura, Teriyaki bomb 4 times, 1 Mango chicken Poké without mayo with teriyaki sauce only and a Salmon and shrimp tempura burritos. When I arrived, I paid for my order and I informed the employee that the Syake Tempura salmon was not cut as in the presentation, the employee in place told me that he was not interested in cutting it and that he put him on a stick. I tell him that my daughter doesnt like large pieces of salmon and he repeats I wouldnt want to cut them, sorry. I leave the branch and share my experience with my partner outside who finds it unacceptable to do the job half-heartedly, because he doesnt like it. He returns to the counter, the employee tells him that this is how it is done (yes, before it was the old presentation), but the new Syake Tempura presentation is not presented like that, otherwise I would not I wouldnt have ordered this (my daughter doesnt like the texture of large pieces of fish). The employee tells my partner that what I told him is not true (well yes you, I have time to waste creating scenarios!) and adds that he will not do them again since they are `well correct`. My partner got impatient with his nonchalance and insisted that they take them back, he ended up doing it again (very badly), of course! When we got home, we had a chicken and mango Poké full of mayonnaise (our bill says spicy shrimp, but my partner doesnt eat shrimp or mayo!). Was my partner angry, yes and so was I! We can both attest to the condescension of the employee in question. I am aware of the problems of labor retention and I understand that sometimes the sushi can be held less well, I am really understanding when a young person starts. Where I find it unacceptable is admitting that you dont want to make them the way they are sold, because you dont want to cut it. It s 7:15 p.m. your branch is empty and it s not going to stop being empty with this type of service! I loved Sushi Shop when I lived in Quebec, in Rivière-du-Loup, a multitude of people said it wasnt great at all, but I encouraged them to give it time and try again! This young man works with other young people, I hope will not influence others to offer this service. Maybe my opinion wont be considered, at that point I wont be the biggest loser. Unfortunately, most of the employees are nice, but an experience like this wont make you want to order again. Good luck for the future!

One of the good places for sushi and poké. But eating there is quite unpleasant. Always dirty, sticky or slippery floor, often dirty tables, zero atmosphere. Its the place where you buy to take away!
Really tasty! We were expecting a rather generic taste, but were surprised by the distinct flavors. We will return to this shortly.

Elle reprend la boîte quy était dans le présentoir, va en arrière, remets les crevettes dans une nouvelle boîte & me la donne comme si elle venais den faire cuire des nouvelles!! Entoucas des crevettes tempura froide cest pas super.

I dont usually write reviews online. First time Ive given a review less than 4 stars. This is essential. Meal that met my expectations. Good and as usual. Sushi shop is my favorite fast food restaurant. The food was okay today, as I expected. Problem: attitude of employees following an order error where each claims that it is the fault of the other, customer and employee. Cavalier and disrespectful attitude. We will come back, but if the same employees are at the counter, I leave without ordering. Sorry for the management of the establishment who has to deal with the limited manpower available.
Served by 2 young ladies with a complacent attitude. Made a mistake in the order (wrong pizza) and do not want to refund or redo because they did not make a mistake . We ask not to have caviar, we have it in our sushi, and she tells me we don t have caviar here, that s masago . Suggestion to the manager, teach them diplomacy, courtesy and explain to them what masago is. I work in customer service and I am impressed that the company agrees to provide this kind of service to their customers. Apparently its difficult to find reliable and proud employees.
We ordered a box of 50 sushi. When we opened the box we saw that the sushi had been made in a hurry. Some were barely running and others werent running at all.

Visited twice, the first time we waited over an hour to receive our order, the second time everything went as planned. 3rd visit, a sushi with breaded fish, its an insult to the Japanese people and its not even that good a mixture and its really for what its expensive in the end, and its not so tasty that that.
My boyfriend and I were super excited to celebrate our end of session by eating sushi shop until we received this... But what a horrible presentation and above all there were missing ingredients! We were so disappointed... Having known that we were just receiving salad with a little bit of tuna we would not have ordered it. Too bad, but I dont recommend it because of our bad experience.

What pitiful service! We were alone and each dish arrived 10 minutes apart. We are served without cutlery, without sauce, without water, without desire... The cleanliness of the restaurant and the tables also left something to be desired. When you spend $70, a minimum of customer service is essential!

I call to find out if I have to book for 5 people and also if they are still open and they say that it closes at 9:00 p.m. and my parents who arrive before me at 8:10 p.m. the chairs were set up on the tables and they no longer serve customers, they are busy cleaning. My mom and dad took a taxi to their restaurant as a bonus. THIS IS REALLY VERY DISAPPOINTING. I just went back and the service has greatly improved, but the cleanliness of the restaurant still needs improvement. The sushi is a real delight. I hope it will get better for the next time I come.
