I only stopped in to pick up some beer so this is basically going to be a review of that. Thus far, every beer Ive drank has been amazing. Its almost like I bought these all from Germany.

Just visited this brewery as part of a Brew Donkeys Rideau Rally tour. Especially loved the refreshing raspberry sour and owner/brewmaster Erics enthusiasm for his craft.

Great little micro brewery with really top notch beers.

It was my first visit to the brewery and it was great! Our server was an absolutely wonderful person. She took the time and listened to her customers. Her answers always offered options. When a server feels this comfortable, I feel it is indicative of good management! The food was well presented and perfectly prepared. I plan to return soon! Dietary restrictions: There are not a lot of gluten-free choices but they do their best to accommodate.

Went for Diner on Saturday with my wife, my cousin and his wife. Had a great time. Diner was awesome ( thanks to the Chef). Service was amazing! Will definitely go back. Thank you for the great experience.

Went there with friends who have recently moved to Rockland. It was definitely worth the drive from Kanata. The food and beer were great, and service was amazing. I love that the menu, although simple, has something for everyone. Would highly recommend and go next time I m in or near Rockland!

Love this local brewer! Food is great, staff are very friendly, brew master has great tastes. Love the potato salad and warm pretzels! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access into and around building. Washrooms are gender neutral and accessible.

Went here for my birthday, and it was a disappointment. Ordered the schnitzel and the schnitzel burger. They both turned up completely different from the menu. We expected roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and the schnitzel with cabbage. Due to the description and photo. They showed up TINY. There was a teaspoon worth of cabbage. No roasted potatoes but frozen wedges you can buy at the store, probably Cavanaugh brand or McCain. There were some asparagus and carrots, but they were doused in salt and inedible. FOR $23! Not even roasted potatoes, lol. A TINY plate worth of food that we had to send back and they didnt even take it off my bill, they gave us one free beer which had no head on it and was foggy, not clear for a german pilsner. Kinda sad seeing as we are german and wanting something a bit different from the norm here in Rockland. Oh, and the service, we were ignored for long periods and left without drinks, waiting 15 mins for drinks twice. And over 45 mins for the food. Then, when I asked for mustard, they said yes and didnt even bring it to me. Dont waste your time going there as we were ripped off.

This place was hyped up to me for quite a while. I really enjoy German Beer and I was told they brew by the purity law which I like. It gives less bloat etc... This is a 2.5... but I can only give solid stars so.. Im going to 2 because of the high expectations I had. Here we go: Ambiance: There are a ton of breweries in the Ottawa area. This one is a german themed brewery. I have been to many breweries in the area, and this has the standard industrial/ stained wood with metal look to it. Not much sets it into the realm of German beer theme than the German flags lined above the bar. Not much else is different from the other breweries Ive been at. Its nice looking inside,clean, and there is a nice viewing of the brewery operation. And it looked like they have a patio too. Beer/Food: The beer was very good! The Kolsch was fantastic. I didnt feel bloated after, and I felt like it was a very well done and quality product. The Radler was also fantastic and tasted natural and eas not saturated in sweetness. Great job! I wished the beer came in steins.. or mugs.. or something resembling the culture from which it came from! The food was good as well, we just had nachos. It was covered in toppings and esthetically pleasing. We looked at another couple who got a charcuterie boars and it looked nice also. I wont comment on prices as I dont know much other than things keep getting more expensive.. Service: We had a young blonde server. She was bilingual and friendly. She told us she didnt like beer when asked for a recommendation which I found amusing for someone who works in a microbrewery. When we were finishing up a few of her friends came in and they had social time at the front register. I wanted to go up and maybe buy a sticker or glass or something but didnt feel like getting in their way. Conclusion: Like I said. In an area thats pretty competitive for microbreweries not much sets this place apart from anywhere else. Perhaps Im being aggressive with my rating but I had very high hopes for the Brauwerk Hoffman and would have likely stayed longer and picked up some merch on the way out if we had experienced a better time there. I hope they get they dive further into the German beet hall Ambiance.

I had the chance to visit the Brauwerk Hoffman Brewery in Rockland, and I can only highly recommend it. I had the opportunity to meet the owner who taught me a lot about the brewery, and he personally works on creating the beer. I had the opportunity to taste two of their beers, a blonde and a dark, and I was blown away by their quality. The brewery staff speaks both French and English, so dont worry if you dont speak the brewery language. You can choose to sit inside or outside, and to find it, a quick look on Google Maps will take you there with no problem. Its the perfect place for a date, a birthday party, or just to catch up with friends. Support local crafts by going there. I had the pleasure of visiting Brauwerk Hoffman Brewery in Rockland, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner, who shared a wealth of knowledge about the brewery, and he personally oversees the beer creation process. I had the opportunity to taste two of their beers, one blonde and one dark, and I was blown away by their quality. The staff at the brewery is fluent in both French and English, so dont hesitate if youre not familiar with the brewerys language. The food was excellent. We tried the curry wurst and the schnitzel, as well as a pretzel. The presentation is beautiful and the portions generous. The size of the pretzel disappointed me a little, but thats the only negative I would have to say, because the taste was perfect. The beer was cold and above all refreshing! Nice local business. Parking: Around twenty parking spaces. Enough for the size of the restaurant.

I was pleasantly surprised with this brewery. It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The food was very good and fresh and the beer accompanied perfectly. The pilsner and Marzen and 1989 were very good. The place is a bit out of the way in an industrial park, but worth the visit.

Excellent beer. Big servings and the food is so fresh. The pretzel was hot and soft. The soup was yummy and not too salty. We will be back.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, savoury beers. Pilsner was nice. Boyfriend loved Hefeweizen. Food options are incredible, had the seasonal Caprese salad & peach cobbler. It was very very tasty. Also ordered the charcuterie previously in February & definitely worth it. The place is very unique for the location. Definitely a staple for boyfriend & I. Will be visiting for date night often.

Authentic beer and great food! Im first generation Canadian with bot parents coming from Northern Germany. I was there a few years ago and tried many beer styles. The brew master is doing it right! Amazing! We did our rehearsal dinner with about 35 people here and they were fabulous. The staff and chef were SO easy to work with. They made a menu that worked for all of our guests needs. We had the nachos, charcuterie, chips, and allllllll the pizzas. The food was absolutely delicious. They set us up in a semi private area and it was perfect. And the beer even our non beer drinking friends enjoyed the beer! The planning and execution was amazing, I wouldn t have changed a thing.

What a great place for staff party and of course the beer is phenomenal! The staff were super friendly and happy to explain their beer and suggest accordingly to your taste. I love the Pilsner, Pardon my French IPA, the Helles, Hefeweizen, especially the Marzen. They always had a smile on, and service was great and fast. From the beginning it was easy to plan the party with quick response with Olivier and Éric. Food is very good and different, beer is awesome, staff is super friendly and the place has a great ambiance. Everyone enjoyed their evening thanks to you guys! Went a couple days ago and everything was amazing! The beers they have on tap are all amazing, and they serve authentic German sausage with pretzels! Everything was to die for and I will absolutely be back.

Very welcoming. Nice atmosphere. Fantastic beers with authentic taste. Bought a few on April 8th after getting my first shot of COVID vaccine. Will return once restrictions are relaxed. Municipality of Rockland, wake up and recognize a gem that could help revitalize a dying community, and so support them instead of putting roadblocks during COVID.

Had the the 1989, German IPA and Heff. The heff is very light, but flavourful. I like to think I know beer and am not just someone who drinks too much and these three were all gems. Enjoyed thoroughly!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to Brauwerk Hoffman on Canada Day 2021. We highly recommend making the drive to Rockland -- especially if you are in Ottawa. We tried several of their beer styles. Their Helles beer is, in my opinion, the closest to tasting like an authentic beer from Munich. Their Maibock is also very rich and tasty as is their wheat-beer. And their food menu also offers tasty meals that go well with the beers. The schnitzel was tender and slightly sweet and their sausages and pretzels were also amazing. We had a really pleasant conversation with Eric, the brewer, who said that he did his apprenticeship in Germany. I wish Eric and this brewery many years of success. I hope to go back sometime soon and I highly recommend their excellent craft beer!!
