Huge servings and great food

The waitress spoke to us in French throughout the meal

a neighborhood diner/family type restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. great smoked meat, generous portions, friendly service, fair prices. There is a sharing platter of smoked meat, fries and coleslaw for something like $35 that will serve 3 easily. Great breakfasts as well (all day means until 4 pm). Wheelchair accessibility: probably fairly easy. a street level diner with a fair amount of room inside.

Eating there is like a treat. Always good.

If I were you, I wouldn t go to a place where they discriminate people, in particularly employees, these people are mean and don t deserve to have a business.

We tried this place and my husband got bad food poisoning from the burger.

So the breakfast is actually not all day anymore, its only until 4pm, we found out when we got there. They were kind enough to still make breakfast, but we got the wrong order for one and the other was missing a side. When I brought this up I was told how they heard something else so I still ate it. The food tasted like it had been sitting for a while then just got served to us but still mildly tasted okay. The service was subpar.

Hot chicken no top bread very poor portion of chicken no peas but 2 small piece carrots and poutine small portion with 5 small cheese curds dont recommend for the price of a small Plat never again will go back to that restaurant

Wow who would have thought this little restaurant in Rockland would be so great!? I guess locals do!! I sure didnt! My friend treated me to dinner last night and it was so so good!! He insisted I have the steak and he had the shrimp. Ill be honest I was skeptical but the meal inwas served could have easily been served at a high end steakhouse. Oh. My. God. Our server Gisele was a doll and I truly cannot wait to go back.... to try the shrimp because it looked fantastic too! My only reason for 4 stars not 5 has nothing to do with the food. It was just a bit challenging for my friend who uses a walker to get up the step and through the double doors. Wheelchairs definitely would be a problem. Once we were in though... everything was perfect! Highly recommend!! Thanks Bennys!!

Eggs Benedict was poorly made. English muffin was not toasted. I also asked twice for my potatos to be turned into a breakfast putin. I was given two separate meals. Everything was just sloppy, I wont be returning anytime soon with my family of 8.

Good place for a bite, drinks, good service

Service was great, BUT We received a dirty cup with lipstick on it. Eggs were undercooked, egg whites were still raw. The pop tasted like the machine hasnt been washed in over a year My breakfast poutine was swimming in Hollandaise sauce, and I had to order an extra side of potatoes and green onions in order to make it edible. Overall experience was OK, but definitely room for improvement in the kitchen

I m honestly speechless. Me and my girlfriend went in for open (8am), everything Started off amazing. Service was incredible and friendly. Food came out insanely fast & was delicious. We wanted to do mimosas so we waited until 9 as the waitress politely told us she couldn t serve before then. We picked away at our breakfast, at 9 our waitress asked if we still wanted our drinks. We said yes. We ordered a second, I asked for a box. all after having a 5min conversation with the waitress about how we wanted to stay for a few more drinks & she said no problem and to take our time. About 2 minutes later our bill was slapped on our table with no reasoning as to why we were basically kicked out. As an industry worker myself I understand if we were loud & obnoxious, causing a fuss or being a burden. We sat keeping to our conversation. We were given no reason so we quietly paid and left. Our bill was around 54$. we were willing to spend much more & tip accordingly. My girlfriend frequents this spot and talks highly of it quite often. It s sad to say we no longer feel comfortable returning.

Worst service possible

Waitress was nice enough. Went there for the all day breakfast (you know, like the sign says), but evidently no breakfast after 4pm. Had a chicken sandwich with fries. Asked to replace the fries with a soup or salad.. was told it would be an extra charge. The sandwich and fries would be unacceptable for a basic cafeteria... let alone a restaurant charging full price. It was just a bun with a leaf of lettuce and two tomato slices and a deep fried frozen chicken patty like youd get at Giant Tiger or something. No mayo or butter or seasoning or anything.

Great server, big portions and good pricing for the quality and quantity of food

Amazing variety of food on the menu, almost something for everyone. Service is relatively quick and staff are friendly. The booths are a little on the tight side but overall love coming here for dinner. Their pizza is amazing, tastes like a home made pizza.

Smoke meat, more like Pastrami in our opinion... Fully English menu... Comparison with our last two visits, this one, rather disappointing, Quite expensive, but its probably the new trend.... $52 for two dishes, obviously plus tip, total of $58.... Very good service, the gentleman who replaced the first person, gave us excellent service. For us, its no longer worth the detour...

Coffee is no longer included with lunch. Its the only place I know that does this.

I have gone there for years. It was chez george..then dunns now all day bennys. The service has been awsome. Friendly atmosphere and great food at decent price. I drive up from london ont twice a year to visit my uncle. He introduced me to this place and Im glad he did. Giselle has been there forever and remembers us and always shared a couple of jokes. Love this place

Absolutely love this place. We go to Rockland atleast once a year. I can start to taste the Rockland Special pizza on the west side of Ottawa. The service has always been great, pricing is worth every penny and the Staff are absolutely amazing. We met Giselle about 5 years ago and we look forward to seeing her (almost) as much as the family. The price to food... horrible. 5$ for chicken on my pasta and they give not even 5 ounces of diced precooked chicken. Everytime I get water, everytime there is some floating object in the water. Food is tasteless and for the price youd expect at least something worth the hit to the wallet. Do not go here

The smoked meat tasted fresh and delicious, generous portion. Well seasoned Coleslaw, fresh and Crunchy. Perfect pickles! The fries were horrible, very dry and stale like theyd been precooked hours before and left out to be reheated. The restaurant was very stuffy and the heating set too high.

Bennys offers all-day breakfast, at least thats what the sign says out front. When we went to order they said due to staffing issues in the kitchen, they stopped serving breakfast at 4. Awkward when thats the name of your restaurant. Totally understand if it wasnt for the sign outside, or the fact that no other signage mentions the breakfast situation.

First experience with the restaurant. Very pleasant counter service, but very disappointed with the food. Smoke meat was not a nice color (brown) and the fries were almost black, a change of oil for frying should have been done. Damage.

Excellent service, food arrived promptly. Their menu is quite extensive, lots of options. The smoked meat is quite good as is the hollandaise sauce and many menu items feature these The portions are nicely generous. This may be new our go-to breakfast place!

Came all the way from Komoka for the pizza. And again so not disappointed. Not only is the pizza the BEST, my Husband had the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich and was over full. We missed our girl Giselle but truly had the pleasure of meeting Jocelyn. Thank you all so much. You have never failed us. Every time we come East to see Family, you will always be our staple. It was my first visit and it was a good one. We were a large group and the service was friendly and seamless. Beverages were quickly served, orders taken once the group was complete. We were all served almost at the same time and the food was delicious. Ill definitely be back.

This was a Dunns. I was told by waitress that they changed names but menu was still pretty much the same. I asked why they changed names she said because Dunns wanted to raise prices but owner didnt want to. I thought that was weird as Bennys prices were higher then Dunns and the quantity/portion size of plates went down. So all in all the prices are higher and you get less on your plate. I will say the food was good. I have chicken strip and poutine. Poutine was so small compared to Dunns and strip were okay size. But almost $20 for my meal and it didnt fill me. I was very disappointed. Not going to eat here again. I will go to Dunns in the city or Montreal instead.

We ordered couple club sandwich.. bread was burnt, cheese was dry hard, barely any mayo or butter on the bread, the salad was old.fries were cooked in old oil as they were soooo dark. taste really bad.

Really great breakfast excellent service but a bit on the pricey side.

Prices are reasonable but the food is just ok. French toast wasnt cooked through completely and the eggs were barely fried so the yolk was very runny.

First off I will say My first impression was that this is a very clean friendly environment, The place was busy so I expected good food and then after ordering I noticed everyone seemed to be eating pizza. We ordered very simple, hard to mess up meals. I ordered the Rockland Slam and my wife got the smoked meat platter. The bacon on the Rockland Slam was so over cooked it just crumbled when I bit into it, the dark mushy hash browns had what tasted like a very salty powdered chicken soup bouillon on a portion of them And because it was only on a portion of the hash browns I thought they dumped it on my plate by accident. The eggs were slimy, the rye bread ( supposed to be toast) was flavorless, the sausage was over cooked and dry, the French toast with dollar store syrup was not so good either but it was the best part of the meal. When the waitress arrived I asked her about the powdered chicken soup bouillon substance on my potatoes and I was told that on my next visit if I did not want that on my potatoes I had to specify that. The Smoked Meat Platter was very bland, the bread was supposed to be Rye but it was flavourless and soggy, the meat was so oily every napkin on the table was used and eventually the sandwich had to be eaten with a fork, the fries were no better, they looked dark and crisp but pushing my fork into one proved different, they were mushy. This could be a really good place, its clean, nicely decorated, seemingly cheerful servers but someone needs to take more time on the food prep. perhaps cook it as its ordered and not so far in advance. We will stop in again to try the pizza.

Ordered a jumbo smoked meat sandwich with poutine for pick up. 40 minute wait time was acceptable considering it was Valentines Day. Tasted excellent and was still warm when I started to dig in.

Good welcome and good service in French. With a terrace. Food and prices are affordable.

The food was good but... we had an extra smoked meat for $3 in a lunch and they charged us extra for the meat already included in the lunch, saying that the extra smoked meat replaced the other meat.. in the end the price doubled. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the waitress told us that we were the ones who were too stupid to understand the menu... especially considering how smart she seemed herself, it was insulting!

Went in for breakfast, bacon and eggs, and it was really good although a bit pricey. The staff was really friendly and efficient, cleaned the tables thoroughly after every customer.

Ordered a breakfast wrap with a milkshake on Nov 1st the staff on the phone was not very friendly and the food was very expensive for what it was, a tiny serving of slightly off fruit and a mediocre wrap, I could make better food at home for a fraction of the cost. I will not be ordering here again.

I have eaten many times at Bennys All Day Breakfast (it was a Dunns before). I went there originally for the Dunns smoked meat which used to be top notch! Since its been Bennys, we still like going there, but truthfully, something has changed with the smoked meat. It used to be coarser and more flavourful, but I find the new smoked meat to be more like pastrami, thinly sliced and a little bit on what Id call commercial side of things (a standard offering from one of the big food distributors). Ive stopped going as often as I used to as a result and thats a shame because the staff are AMAZING and the service is great otherwise.

Disappointed with breakfast. Toast was burnt, eggs undercooked, and homefries were starchy. Barely touched breakfasts and complaint was met with a sorry about that, we never had complaints before not rectified and wont be back, unfortunately.

The service was fast and friendly, great food and the classic milkshakes are good for 2 servings
