A gem of a restaurant. If you re from the area you would remember Bistro77 and Kelly s Kitchen. Same owner. Food is outstanding. My husband and I were there for dinner. Alcohol, appetizers, entrees with tip under $200. Very creative taste combinations. We ll definitely be going back. Reservations recommended. Congratulations Jay.

FANTASTIC !! The Bistro 77 boys Jay & Ryan Klausen have invaded the globe and brought back all their culinary delights & superb service. If you dont know who BISTRO 77 is then you better get your butt into the globe and discover the best tasting food, vibes, service and more. Thank god they decided to come out from retirement !! I think I can speak for everyone when I say the Entire population of surrounding towns have been missing them & their MENU for the past 5 years!! Bistro77 was our go to restaurant for any night out and now The Globe will be our new spot ! Welcome Back Boys !!!

We drove from Toronto to visit the Globe Restaurant and were incredibly impressed by the quality of the food and menu. It was an amazing evening with outstanding ambience. We heard they had revamped their kitchen, and wow, the food was to die for. The Jerk Beef Crostini and Duck Confit were outstanding. The service was excellent, and the dessert topped off the evening perfectly. We will definitely be back!

Check out the new Chefs! A lot has changed at The Globe! Its been a very long time since I have enjoyed fine dining of this caliber, and at amazing prices! The braised short rib was perfection and every side dish was spot on! I enjoyed every bite. Cant wait to go back.

I went to The Globe last night and had an amazing meal. I had the ribeye and it melted in my mouth. So glad that Ryan and Jay are back. The food was delicious as was my dirty martini. The service was excellent. We will be back very soon.

Had my 60th Birthday dinner with 4 other couples. Food and service was amazing a definite 5+star. Cant wait to go back!

This place is the ultimate new hotspot! Theyve introduced a fresh menu, and we were eager to check it out since we heard they have brand-new kitchen staff. Its rare to find spots that nail both service and food quality these days, but this place hits the mark! We drove over an hour to get here, and it was worth every minute. For appetizers, we enjoyed scallops and jerk beef crostini, followed by short rib and duck confit for mains, and crème brûlée and cheesecake for dessert. The flavours were outstanding, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The wine selection was also exceptional! The ambiance is lovely perfect for a date night or a relaxed family dinner. This place was exceptional! Were already looking forward to our next visit, counting down the days until we can return!

As compared to years gone by, there is no comparison. Terrible when owners change so does the taste and their offerings. This used to be a favourite dining spot for hundreds of area folks. No more, I just thought Id check to see if its still in business.

Over the past decade, I have frequented the Globe on and off. Initially, it was a delightful country-style restaurant that served hearty and delicious meals, always bustling with regular customers. However, it underwent a transformation into a more upscale establishment with a talented Toronto chef who prepared exceptional high-quality dishes. Unfortunately, the chef abruptly left, leading to yet another change in the restaurants ambiance and decor, which now feels stark and contributes to the noise levels. Despite this, we have dined there for both dinner and brunch. While the service was satisfactory, we were disappointed with the poorly crafted cocktails. In particular, the Caesar we had during brunch was subpar. On the other hand, the dinners we had were enjoyable, but the Eggs Benedict during brunch, which happens to be my favorite brunch item, fell short of expectations. I have ordered the Eggs Benedict twice, and although the eggs were fresh and the smashed potatoes were delicious, I expressed my confusion to the server regarding the tough and thin peameal. I was informed that it was deep-fried, which I found perplexing. In my opinion, Eggs Benedict should feature a substantial piece of ham or peameal that is not thin and deep-fried to the point of resembling a potato chip. It was nearly impossible to cut a bite of egg and peameal together. I am uncertain if this issue has been rectified since our last visit. Admittedly, we have not returned since that brunch, but I have noticed that they now offer brunch and dinner every day. We may consider giving it another chance as we appreciate supporting local establishments and the service has always been excellent. However, considering the abundance of food options in the area, if I am going out for brunch, I expect to enjoy my Eggs Benedict. Paying $19 for a dish that I will not relish leaves me with other viable alternatives nearby.

The place was nice and service was kind but the food was over cooked like veal and chicken was so chewy it was hard to eat we where really disappointed cause we herd such good things Update: it was a fluke we went back cause they contacted us and the food was amazing still good food and service and has been back a couple of times since Kid-friendliness: High chairs and kind to kids

What a great little find! My wife and I are always looking for new breakfast places, and this was some of the best breakfast weve ever had. As someone who worked as a short order cook for a couple of years, its hard to excite me about breakfast, but the potatoes were great, the bacon was amazing and the eggs were some of the freshest weve ever had. Well definitely be back to try other things on their brunch and dinner menu. We cant wait!

We haven t been to the Globe since 2018. Back then, I would have given a 4.5 out of 5 rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. Now that its reopened for Dinners, we were anxious to try it again, but we were surprised with the number of low ratings. Im glad we ignored them. The service was excellent. Very prompt and courteous. As there were four of us, we had an opportunity to try several different dishes. The daily soup and the onion soup were very good. The bread and butter starter was also very good. There were three different types of butter, which were hard, but thats the nature of this type of butter. All were very tasty. Two of us had the peppercorn steak, both of which were perfectly cooked. The blackened wallaye was excellent. Nicely proportioned and not overcooked to the point it was dry. The steak pasta was also great. The homemade pasta was perfectly cooked, as was the steak. All of us thought the food was very tasty and well proportioned. The prices were typical for a place of this nature, certainly not expensive for the mid-high end food selection available. The place has been renovated since our last visit. The old small rooms farmhouse feel is gone, but we all thought they did a great job of maintaining the original woodwork in the frames, windows and floors as well as the old fireplace, while opening up the space. All in all, it was a great experience, and well definitely be back.

Stopped in on a whim and very thankful that we found this place! Beautiful dining area with lots of room between tables and some great memorabilia to keep you occupied while your meals are being prepared. The service was amazing, our server was very knowledgeable and friendly and the food was AMAZING. Seriously the best food Ive had in a long time. Between the two of us we had Avocado toast with the most amazing roasted potatoes (the potatoes were so good that we took another helping to go!). Our second meal was a small Caesar salad with onion soup (this came with a large slice of garlic bread with cheese). Everything was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!

Went first time for Anniversary Dinner, however, we were the only patrons present. Gave me an instant impression that may be it doesn t run that well. The butter, that server explained is a compound butter of x y z things, was quite hard, unable to spread and too much salty! The server just said sorry for bringing this to her attention. My husband had salmon it was like 3 Stars. William s Alliston, which is a local restaurant too, is class! Not going again.

Amazing restaurant, mash up of country bumbkin and finer dining. Definitely worth the drive. Going to come back for dinner at dinner point. Staff was super friendly and out going, pancakes were definitely made from scratch. Light, fluffy and full of flavor majority of there ingredients are locally sourced. Parking: Parking can be hard to find as Im all not sure if they have a defined parking lot. There is some parking on street though.

Fastest ever takeout from The Globe yesterday. We were so happy to see that they were open late after a busy day. Delicious vegetarian options. Everything was perfect! Can t wait to visit again. The interior looked so cozy! Vegetarian options: Delicious and full of flavour. Staff is very friendly and I m sure they would have no problem accommodating dietary restrictions. Parking: Spots on both sides of the road as well as in the Hall parking lot directly across from the restaurant.

I am a huge fan of this restaurant experience. The ceaser salad is the best I have had, EVER!! Pricing is very reasonable. The menu always has me coming back for more. And the service is for sure 5 star. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone..

The service was incredible and well worth it and will definitely be stopping by every time even in the area coming from Hamilton. The Ceasar salad is absolutely amazing. They staff told me its all in the fresh ingredients add with one of a kind dressing. And Wow it was worth the drive just for the salad.

So so yummy. My husband and I enjoyed our visit to The General Store. We got lots of yummiest to take home. The store layout is very inviting with lots of great gift ideas and novilty items and the service was great. The Globe Resteraunt was SO wonderful. Great atmosphere great food all really nicely prepared and really good service. Over all a really great experience and worth the drive.

Decided to try out the new globe restaurant tonight. Not impressed, no longer a nice cozy, intimate restaurant. Mine as well go to a Dennys. The food choices were poor and the salmon was tasteless. The only good thing was the waitress who was lovely. Will not be returning or recommending to friends. Tina

Went for dinner last Saturday with a group of girls had an amazing experience, sat on the patio first for a before dinner cocktail went inside for dinner with a beautifully sat table for eight. The service was awesome, the food was amazing, I had the fish cooked beautifully and the truffle chips were nice and crisp and I love their Caesar salad.

You must try The Globe Restaurant in Rosemont. We ve had Easter dinner and brunch there and both times the farm to table menu has blown us away. The food is so fresh and tasty, not to mention great value for money. We can t wait to come back when the back patio is open in the summer months. This is a must do restaurant if you re local to Mulmur or visiting the area! I d give 6 stars if I could it s that good !!!

Lovely restaurant, delicious food and friendly efficient staff. We ve been here a few times for brunch, both inside and outside on the covered patio, and tonight we went for our first but not last dinner. Food is freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, and there s something for everyone on a small but varied menu. Tonight we shared the cheese dip with pretzels between four of us, and ordered two pasta dishes, fish and chips and the burger as our mains. All delicious. The potato wedges and Caesar salad are amazing sides. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with candles and a fireplace it s like dining at home. We ve been coming for brunch or dinner almost every weekend since reopening because we can t get enough of this place. Fantastic food and cocktails and awesome service by Robin & the team. Unpretentious and comfortable but you ll definitely feel like you re treating yourself!

Our eating experience was horrible. The heat was unbearable. If they had A/C, it was not working. There was a very unpleasant smell in the dining room, and the server seemed very inexperienced. The Peppercorn Pasta was a single flavor...Peppercorn! Overpowering! Totally dominated the lovely homemade pasta. So disappointed. The Globe had been one of our favorite restaurants

Why oh why is this restaurant not packed as I sit here at 8 pm on Friday night. The food was wonderful. From salad to lemon shrimp, Chardonnay salmon and fab tart to finish. Yes it is a price point but well worth it. I do hope more people venture to Rosemont for a wonderful dinner. I also hear their Sunday brunch is great as well.

I took my parents out for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Never been her before but always heard good things about this place. Wow I was totally blown away by the food! Between 4-6 items for brunch and 4-6 items for lunch I couldn t settle on just 1! Everyone at my table ordered a different item and not one person had a bad thing to say! The smashed potatoe sides are to die for ! We had the pickle brine sandwich, peameal sandwich and club house sandwich. Dessert was peach cobbler pie and sticky pudding! All equally amazing! We will definitely be back again! Our wait staff were all amazing, knowledgeable and friendly! Great job all around! Parking: Couple spots on the street and a parking lot on the back that holds 10+ cars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Globe. I had the sauteed garlic mushrooms as a side and could have easily eaten a pitcher full. The chicken was moist, pasta fresh, and salad sides yummy. We will definitely be back.

Went for dinner here for a birthday celebration. We lived here decades ago and wanted to take a trip down memory lane. The restaurant is much different than it was but it was still fantastic. The food was great and our server Lauren was tremendous. I highly recommend it and if you go make sure you grab some butter tarts from the General store across the street. They re amazing

It has been many years since my last visit here and things have changed drastically. Last time it was 5 star all around. Not so much anymore. I believe it has been transformed from a high end eatery to a , dont know what to call it. The place is clean and tidy and nicely decorated. It is now very open and loud. Our party of 4 ordered drinks. My wifes Cesar was the hands down worst she ever has. Not made with Clamato but maybe it was tomato juice as it was red as it should and then the spiced glass rim was on 1/3 of the glass only. My two cold rinks I ordered where warm. Our one guest ordered white wine and had to ask for an ice cube to chill it. My wife and friend ordered the Peppercorn Steak. Neither could finish it as it was overpowered with peppercorns, the steak was tough and tasted like day old meat and disappointed that the homemade noodles could not be enjoyed. I had the portobello mushroom dish and found it quit bland. My wife wanted to salt up her dish for some flavor but no salt and pepper to be had. There are so many good reviews on here that I was first hesitant to write this as I believe we may have just arrived at a difficult time but thought I should be honest and share honestly.

Delish! The Globe is a fabulous restaurant in the heart of adorable Rosemont. Fresh, locally sourced options and very friendly staff. Parking: Parking on the street but lots available on both Hwy 89 and the side streets, including wheelchair accessible parking right out front.

The SinBin comedy show was fantastic and such a cool little space.

We took our Mom for brunch @thegloberestraunt today. We had a wonderful time, the food was great and the staff friendly. Afterwards we went to the general store in Rosemount and picked up some of the preserves and items that you cannot get in the modern grocery stores. I would highly recommend for a quiet day with good food. My family and I will definitely becoming back.

Absolutely blown away by this small town hidden gem. Food was simple but incredibly well executed. The peameal was juicy and tender. I love that they highlight ingredients from local farms like Sheldon Creek Dairy.

Went for brunch and we were the only patrons there. Ordered buttermilk pancakes. They were dry, almost tasteless, and barely warm - obviously not made fresh. They were plunked on a plate with nothing else. My second visit here, and I was disappointed both times. Not recommended.

After a good snowshoe we stopped at the Globe for dinner on a Sunday. The special of the day was a traditional English style roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. They did ask if we would like horseradish. I really like horseradish and like it fairly hot. Well the horseradish was quite good and only made the roast beef that much better considering the roast beef was really good. We did start off with a beet salad which was really good and bread was really fresh. Dessert ended up being homemade pie and Creme Brule. What a really nice dinning experience.

We had an amazing lunch. Nice, casual and warm atmosphere. Well maintained and cozy dining room. The menu was great, the food execution was exactly as it should be and the service was fantastic! It isnt a cheapy place but its well worth the price we paid for everything and I didnt care because it was just so delicious! I wont bother making a recommendation on anything we had just because everything was so good and I doubt you could go wrong with whatever you order. Cant wait to go back!

We felt dissatisfied.We had reserved for 5 pm,an early Easter dinner.On Sunday they have a roast beef dinner all inclusive 45 dollars.They where out of it, so we decided to have the turkey dinner.Expecting real turkey which turned out to be a turkey roll which is not the same.The bread was okay,hard butter and no preserves as they used to serve. The service was fast and server very nice.

We have been to the Globe many times before. It was sold to new owners recently and we found that the experience has gone down, as an example; The rolls are no longer warm homemade bisscuits, but are nice enough bread rolls. We were there for a mothers day lunch (group of 7) and had a couple problems: 1) one of the mothers we served the wrong meal, it was pointed out and there was no apology or attempt to fix. we were offered the correct meal, but it would have taken time so she did end up eating what was brought. 2) we had a few questions that needed feedback from the kitchen. we got no reply back on them. 3) one dish was served 20 mins after the rest of the table, again no apology. 4) out water glasses were not refilled 5) when it was time to pay the bill we had 2 credit cards to split it onto (50/50) i realized after that the math was done incorectly resulting in us paying an extra $30. The food that we ate was very good, but the rest of the experience was seriously lacking.

We have always enjoyed a meal at the Globe but not this time. We felt like a good roast beef dinner so we reserved a table for Father s Day on June16. Sunday roast beef dinner was on the menu so I ordered it. My husband does not like thin pieces of meat so he ordered the barley risotto. Both were very disappointing. The risotto was bland and my roast beef was two thin slices of beef (or it could have been spam) and very dry with beef juice. It came with soup or salad and dessert for $45! They don t serve the little jars of chutney or the tub of churned butter. You get a little triangle of butter and a couple of biscuits and bread. If you want a great roast beef dinner with real gravy and great beef for $14.99 go to the Everett Grille on Main Street, Everett. The Globe is overpriced and the food not up to par. Previous owners did a superb job in food presentation and quality of food choices.

Not worth the money!! Been eating here for 20 years and after today will not be back. Husbands $48 cap Rib Eye was 1/4 inch thick like a sandwich steak. My panko breaded pork was a schnitzel. Celery puree bland. I miss the old Globe with fruited water, chutneys offered at the table and a list of really good daily specials.

Quaint but expensive.

We went on a Saturday night on Thanksgiving and our first time here. Yes, it out of the way but worth the drive to Rosemont. We had a few Appetizers the mushroom Pâté and vegetable fritter both were excellent. For the mains, we had the Filet Mignon served with mash potatoes and vegetables. I had the Arctic Char pan-fried with corn and black beans and slaw. My nephew had chicken and fries. Everything was excellent, tasty and nicely presented. Only complain would be where we where seated was extremely dark. We had to use our iPhone as a flashlight.

We visited the Globe Restaurant today for a late lunch. Its been more than 30 years since our last visit, not because we didnt like the restaurant, but because we moved far afield. Todays lunch did not disappoint. Service was attentive but not overbearing. After being seated, drink orders were promptly taken. Our server then brought us warm multi-grain bread with herbed butter. My wife ordered the Arctic char and I wanted the brisket sandwich. As they had run out of brisket, they substituted sliced prime rib. This had to be one of the best prime rib sandwiches Ive ever had. The meat was melt in the mouth tender, the bun fresh and tasty and toppings included aioli, lettuce, caramelized onions and more. My wife also enjoyed the Arctic char filet accompanied by whipped potatoes, broccoli, and braised cabbage. No complaints... great service, nice ambience and excellent food. If we lived closer we would definitely be back soon.

Food and Atmosphere is Fantastic. Best burger I have had since the Richmond Station in Toronto. I have never been to the Globe before, I always believed it possessed a sort of... retired atmosphere and only served tea and jam, apparently things have changed. The music is modern and relaxed and it has a wonderful open concept dining area. The menu is excellent and locally sourced, just perfect for upscale gastro-pub/restaurant. I heard a chef from Mono Centre was kidnapped and is now highly motivated to please the patrons. They have Red Line and Steam Whistle on tap. The Globe is finally on my map and I am very happy.

We had our staff Christmas dinner here & I had never been before this. The food was amazing & the staff was wonderful. For being a fairly large group, we had our dinner served at the same time, it was very delicious & hot & they put us in our own area. The atmosphere was very cozy & I would definitely go back!!

A hearty slab of halibut that tasted amazing, sizeable portion of chips and excellent service. Definitely going back if Im ever in the area.

The food was great and the staff friendly. Nice views and a relaxed atmosphere will be found here. Tons of parking and a nice upscale feel when you walk in the door. Patio seating available too if you like.

Lovely lunch....tasty....server was awesome

Wow, here with my family for the first time and we ll, be back. Heritage building filled with character, great wait staff (Henry) that is very personal and professional. Everything from the bread, chips, chicken mousse to the mains, trout, duck and fried chicken was spot on. Everything was comes to perfection. This is a little gem in the country. Plus they have Goodlot local beer!

I went there for a late lunch. Had the steak frites. The steak was a bavette cut, a kind of flank steak. I ordered it medium cooked and it was delightfully tender and tasty. Fries were fresh cut, crispy on the outside, tender inside. The restaurant believes in fresh and local ingredients. They make their own sauces, jellies etc. I was served carrot ketchup to dip my fries. YI peeked into the kitchen, no cans! Dessert was a rhubarb mulberry crisp.... delicious. Great spot for date night!

Very friendly staff in a historic building with huge handcut wooden ceiling beams. We enjoyed the tasty zuchini bites and our entrees of Ney Yourk Strip and Trout. The Peach Pie with ice cream for dessert was delicious. Reasonable pricing and good service.

Such an amazing resturant. The service is spectacular and the food is even better. Not only do they have an elegant selection of meat but they also cater to vegetarians. Locally sourced produce and delicious fresh drink ideas. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect place to eat.

Lovely deco, excellent meal, prompt and friendly staff!

Been coming here for 25 years. A favourite for us on drives in the country or to meet family for a special meal. New owners have done a beautiful job of improving some of the rooms and building a small covered deck. Service is impeccable. Can it really be the same staff serving us for all those years and still keeping it fresh? Nicoise salad and steelhead trout, need I say more.

Fantastic!!! Anne greeted us at the door with the most welcoming of smiles and was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the restaurant and the menu. Brandan was cheerful and professional bringing out the food. Denise was a pleasure to chat with. The kitchen crew of chef Jason Cooney, Oliver and Roz hit it out of the park! Our meal was delicious! Thank you for making the start of our honeymoon such a special evening at such a warm and inviting location

Excellent meal, lovely space and great service. All the meals were fantastic but the lamb tenderloin and duck breast were particularly good. Love the emphasis on local fresh and sustainable ingredients.

Ive enjoyed it here for years and today was no exception - lovely service and setting along with delicious food. Theyve kept the feel of the previous version and made some fine improvements.

It was amazing to see how the new owners have restored and beautifully preserved this historic building. Atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff and owners are so kind and friendly and the food is honestly phenomenal. I had the duck confit for lunch today and it was cooked to perfection. I had the pleasure of talking to the chef and I am so excited that The Globe is working towards becoming hyper local and really emphasizing farm to table and supporting the many farmers in the community. Definitely worth the trip and cant wait to come back soon.

Id been to a few Globe Restaurant before, which have been great, always good food and fun. Went along to this one with some family friends, to celebrate a birthday. It was wonderful stay at the restaurant.., all thank to the new owner. It was done such a good job to make us feel right at home and very welcome. The food was amazing and we all felt lucky to be in early at the launching of something so new. Will definitely be going again.

A must visit if you are ever travelling along hwy 89 between Alliston and Shelburne. Extremely friendly staff and amazing meal. A definite favorite I will return to. Next time for lunch...according to the staff its an out of this world lunch. Thanks Globe Restaurant for a birthday to remember.

The new look Globe is a better layout and appears more spacious. The service was good. The server pleasant and upbeat. The food was fair. My chicken pot pie had nice presentation but was only lukewarm and could have used more chicken and less gravy.

Great food! If you not been here yet you should defiantly go. Dress nice and try the Butternut Soup its amazing.

With new ownership comes change and I understand that. The new renovations are amazing and the new outside eating area is fantastic. My main course was perfect. The reasons I m docking: 1) The bread they served as we waited was subpar at best - dry and served without any preserves. Compared to the rest of the meal this really stood out as a weakness. 2) In changing the menu to a la carte they surprise previous diners. As we sat I heard other diners asking if soup or salad were included. Of course they aren t because now it s all separated out. But if they could meet customers halfway the dining experience would be more in line with what built the wonderful reputation The Globe developed over the years. 3) I understand when restaurants go a la carte - it s the decision of the new owner. One would hope that prices would reflect what one gets because the pricing is admittedly steep. It is a higher end restaurant serving locally grown foods. But one example: the iced tea (made in house) was unreasonably priced and one had to hound to get any refill. I m sorry but $3.50 for a sip of iced tea with a glass full of ice is a rip off. However, even though the dinner was slightly above others pricing it was impeccable. The steak was literally perfect and the fresh vegetables were incredible.The dessert pricing though is another matter. $10 for a smallish slice of cheesecake? Yes, it s made in house fresh but for the size served that s a big nope. The changes at The Globe could lead them to a better reputation than ever before. But to do that they should really replace that bread immediately and try to offer a bit more to the customer for the premium price they are paying. Again, the atmosphere is a large improvement and the presentation of the dishes was really a delight to look at but at this point I m not sure they are worth the price you pay. I look forward to seeing if they respond to customers feedback or simply try to bully through riding on the coattails of the reputation they bought.

Due to location with family only have opportunity to meet 3 or 4 times a year The globe is an awesome restaurant. Food and Staff were tremendous ...will use the restaurant for future family gatherings. Highly recommended...thumbs up Kathleen B
