I have been in the city for more than one year and finally I get the taste of freshly brewed coffee!! This coffee shop offers a variety of caffeine along with the warm smile of crew members! I have tried cappuccino and it was superb! The interior of the shop resembles the taste of its owner which is absolutely classic! Update: last night I tried Cafe Mocha with Que pasa. It was also a good experience with the coffee shop. Besides, the person who served us was very caring and friendly. 28 June 2021: Tried Cafe Latte. Like my previous experiences,it also went well! Good coffee with utmost care.

An amazing surprise on my across Canada trip in this little town, the food, the service, the ambience, the coffee they roast themselves, the decoration,their support for peace, fair trade and humanity, makes this place a must visit if you are around ! Well done and highly recommended , cheers :)
I like to stop in at around 9:30 pm on a Friday night...the ambiance is relaxed, couple and large group of people enjoying drinks, laughter in a low lighting ambiance with soul music...game boards are available and many people enjoy playing them, meals are being served...coffee and teas also available...also an outdoor cover sitting on a busy street...my Friday evening outting...fun, relax and friendly staff...extremely courteous and polite staff. Excellent service!!:)
This café is one of the city's most iconic place. It's a must if you ever visit Rouyn-Noranda, the staff is friendly and might remember what you ordered last time if you visit more than once. The ambience is quite lovely and represents well the true cultural and urban soul of the city. The tapas are good and they have a great variety of drinks of all kinds, with and without alcohol.

A long drink, then a decaf, served by Serge. Already 15 years ago, I met the wonderful people behind the counter at Abstracto when I went to take my very first CV into the kitchen of La Muse Gueule, the legendary restaurant which once shared the same premises as the Abstracto café during no less than 21 legendary years. The two companies working hand in hand, an entire community met there and still meets there frequently to this day. The Abstracto café is a reverie, a blanket taken out of the dryer under which we shelter. There, I keep a range of memories and emotions too long to detail. If fair trade coffee, the discovery of the different stages of roasting and the variety/origin of the bean appeal to you, this is the place. Are you looking to study in peace or have a pleasant meeting after work around an imported beer or even a microbrewery? Its also the place. There is even a great selection of board games available at all times. Every time I return to Rouyn-Noranda, a visit to the Abstracto is in order to enjoy the warm and family welcome, the eclectic and cozy music, the subdued lights and the inevitable meetings and discussions that are impossible to avoid that the places provide. Thank you Abstracto, know that I have had you in my heart for a long time.

I went there around dinner time. The atmosphere is pleasant, the vegetarian cuisine is excellent and the owner is a gem. On my next visit with friends I will definitely bring them there Vegetarian options: Platter with vegetable hummus and veggie paté, all sandwiches are veggie. Several soups available I believe which are vegetarian

Friendly and cozy atmosphere! Their famous hot chocolate is excellent and it is served in a big bowl! I recommend for small evenings with friends! And possibility of using their many board games

Alternative music, board games, purchases of coffee products to take home, must or not . The restaurant Au bord fumé is worth discovering.

This place has been a reference point in the Rouyn-Noranda circuit for more than 25 years. The atmosphere is relaxed. The style is often imitated but, in my opinion, the original has not yet been surpassed.

The restaurant next to the abstracto has changed a lot. Extremely limited menu. No pasta and lots of fast food. We still ate well. $48 for club sandwiches on naan bread, salad, fries. No drinks. The service is excellent.
