Chez Morasse in Rouyn-Noranda

I had the Italian poutine, and really disappointed, the sauce is no longer the same as before :( The sauce they have now is full of water, no flavor and because of the liquid in the bottom it looks like a mush and the meat is dry and grainy because it is so full of water.

I gave this restaurant a good rating but on my last visit last week I was very disappointed. We are in the region, not in Montreal. Im not racist but enough is enough. The person never understood what I wanted to order. I never understood what this person was saying to me, just a word here and there. I am for helping immigrants but when you are no longer able to be served in French, we have a big problem. I dont even know what language this man spoke. I ended up changing my order and asking for a club. He seemed to understand that but I tell you that it was difficult to even order my club. He gave up his place to a woman for the next customer, unlucky man she didnt understand his order even though it was very simple. I ended up receiving my club but thats whatever is in my club. It looked like a can of cat food instead of the chicken. No flavor not good taste. Yeurkeeee. I should have taken a photo, I regret not thinking to do so. Im not a person who complains in restaurants because I know what work is like, having already been a waitress there for several years in my adolescence and even after being married. What a disappointment for me because I have already been to this restaurant several times and I have always been well served and it was very good. Now I wont go back there again. Me and my partner who managed to order a steamed hot dog didnt know that so he simply ordered a cabbage mustard hot dog with poutine and lemon tart. He gets his hot dog no cabbage mustard ketchup cabbage doesnt know that. We dont have that. I hope you understand why we were very disappointed.

After a while I am delighted to learn that Morasse Poutine has become what they were again. Very good service and the poutine is excellent.

I came to Morasse following the recommendation of someone from the Morasse family. Although it was sold, I still enjoyed the best general tao poutine of my life. It was generous and excellent as well as being very reasonably priced. $10.69 for a very generous regular poutine with chicken, tao sauce, shallots and sesame seeds (plus the regular ingredients of a poutine) its really rare! To discover if you are in the area, thats for sure.

I didnt have high expectations but Im still disappointed, but unfortunately my experience was not up to par. As soon as I arrived, the service lacked warmth and efficiency. The long wait to be served was already a bad omen. Once the order arrived, the dishes were lukewarm and severely lacking in seasoning, making the flavors rather bland. The setting, although seemingly promising, did not compensate for the shortcomings in the cuisine and service. It was even more disappointing considering the price. I was hoping for a memorable dining experience especially since it was my first time eating poutine, but I left with a feeling of dissatisfaction. I hope that the restaurant will take these comments into account to improve its offering and service.

Its never fantastic but this time when returning to my table I asked my family if it was worse for them too and they unfortunately confirmed. Le Morasse is an iconic restaurant but the service was bad. The food was good though, I have nothing to say about that.

Since the change of ownership, the employees no longer seem to enjoy their work. There seems to be a great team spirit, but the employees do not seem at all happy and out of breath. Those who were the nicest all no longer work there That says it all. It s a shame, because the poutines are delicious. During my visits, the places were at least fairly clean. Despite the narrow parking, the establishment is very correct. A big thumbs up for the night openings.

We ordered a medium poutine Geule de bois with hot dog sausages and bacon onions and with extra cheese. With the tip it cost almost $40. When I called to have the $4 miscellaneous charge on my bill explained to me, I was told that Evain and Granada were off limits and therefore more expensive. I am before Evain... Second charge of $2.99 handling fee? He tells me its a delivery charge! Finally there is a $7 fee for an average poutine. The poutine ordered directly from the restaurant comes in a brown cardboard container and it is quite large. Price $17.90 and I received it in a foam container. I didnt have any extra cheese... if so, the others must be bad too! I had 2 pieces of undercooked bacon in my poutine...$17.90 for that. Plus $7 delivery costs...laughs! In short, very disappointed value for money. Ordinary. Average taste

What happened to this place its was so good before man oh man did i get the bad service there from a young girl attitude galore because i asked for my own tray in a double order she said we dont have enough trays but there was like 4 people in there then the hamburgers was cold the bun not toasted or buttered just plain the poutine was ok but to the young girl man it wasnt much of an ask good thing that the older woman straighten her out sadly i will not be good there again.

What an unpleasant experience of my entire life. What a cold service, uncooked food and extremely long delay.

I just spoke to a gentleman on the phone (August 25, 2023 at 6:45 p.m.) and he has no kind of respect for customers.

Passing through Rouyn. Asked for a simple fries sauce and it was a failure! The guy didnt even add a quarter of a ladle of sauce and the sauce was so thick that it was more like fries in the end. Unfortunately, it doesnt pass the test for me!

Poutines are supposed to be their specialty for decades and the photos (display) whet the appetite but the taste leaves something to be desired. Sauce lacks flavor. The (deep) cardboard container with the flaps... its annoying when you dig into it. My choice of poutine contained too many onions and not enough bacon, for the sake of profitability? Rather disappointed. I would have paid $1 or $2 more for everything to be well balanced. Adequate atmosphere and cleanliness of the premises, sufficient parking spaces.

Saturday April 30 after 9:00 p.m., I placed a delivery order I paid $47 with the tip, I was generous but when I opened my things everything was cold, the 2 special hamburgers and the big extra cheese Poutine I threw everything away, there was no question of eating cold food or reheating it. I lost $47 and had to eat a sandwich I was told that I just had to call back straight away when I called the owners. I will never eat there again I want my money back

On our three poutines: Italian, regular and BBQ pork, the sauce was really cold. Below it was a little warmer. Very soft fries. Dirty tables.

Oddly, the best pizza in Rouyn, not too expensive. But for the poutines, well go back, because they use very little cheese. During lunch, the service is fast, its very useful.

I ordered following the show on the go, I read the comments before and I asked for extra cheese. There were 10 grains of cheese in a large poutine. Disappointment extra or not dont pay for it. There wasnt enough sauce either. Brief disappointment.
