This is by far the best cantine around. It takes a while for delivery but it was worth the Wait. There's somthing extra special about the poutine!!
We have been to this location a few times and we used to really enjoy it. They used to have indoor activities for the kids, bounce houses, a dj etc. Now there is a tiny little slide in the middle of a huge empty space. You know one of those small plastic slides you would have in your kids play area? Their maple "taffy" area used to show the machines etc and now there is a just a curtain and the taffy guy doesn't even talk to anyone. The outdoor "petting zoo" now only has 3 small animals and nothing more. There also USED to be a tour of the forest showing the maple tree lines etc. Either by horse or plow... neither were in sight this time. Overall a disappointing experience... we will not be returning. Food was as expected, nothing to highlight.
Wedding reception was the worst event I ever been in my life. Food was burned, for menu got something else with super low quality. Entrée dishes were removed from our table without reason and without being finished. No water, limited wine (*even if host paid and provided several bottles) and took the bottles half or 3/4 full. Lousy service for waiters. I am surprised as chefs and professional catering service do not work like this. I hope the Cabane a sucre service is better than the sad experience I had. Be exigent with these people. I feel very sorry for the couple that got married.
good sugar shack, all the traditional food, no need to book ahead.
Food is just bad. Omelette was hard, pancake felt under cooked, ham and pulled pork was dry, potatoes were average. Having no bacon and fruits at a brunch buffet is pretty sad too. You could go to a random buffet in your city and their brunch selection would have what they have and more, it's not worth the drive to come here. The taffy ain't special either. The seating is pretty poor. You all sit in a row of large tables, like a food court. You don't get your own table and you have no word on where you sit. Their small animal farm house only has goats. Which are cute, but I expected more. Theres a bounce house area for kids, that was cute. The waitresses were nice at least.
Very poorly organized. Had reservation for 11:30 wasn't seated untill 12 because there was no watress but it's a buffet. Overpriced compared to other sugar Shacks. We will not be returning.
It's a superb sunny day and we decided to go to the sugar shack. This place is so amazing! The staff is one of the best! Everyone just wants to make you feel at home! 😊 The food is pretty good sweet and super fresh! Am I going to recommend that place ?? For sure! Bon appetit!
I was disappointed. Food was terrible, my boyfriend got food poisoning or something... There was no ambiance. OMG! The taffy... THAT WAS AWEFUL. When we got in to get our taffy, it was already poured in the snow and who freaking knows how long it was sitting there. TERRIBLE I SAY! No jokes, I would have been better off getting brunch in the city and buy a cup of taffy in my grocer store...

I went to see the Amazon surplus sale, meh, not very interesting, no big bargains to be had there. Arabic music and always the same tune, ultimately I couldnt wait to get out of there.

I called to ask if their menu is safe for someone with peanut and tree nut allergies. I was assured there was no problem. So I ordered for several people (small fortune). Once the products were received, several items had an indication of incompatibility for allergy sufferers... Not strong, not reliable, not recommendable
I went for the artisans weekend, there was something for everyone, very nice to see the talent from here Bravo!!!
Despite some average comments regarding the food, we found that all the services were of quality, varied, well prepared and at the right temperature. It must also be said that it is not so easy to serve a large group of several hundred people. Challenge met this evening! The mix service/buffet formula is a good idea, I encourage you to continue. The boss is arrogant, stressed and bossy. Better not to ask him anything. The toilets need renovation. There was vomit at the entrance, the emergency doors are locked while workers are setting up. I dont recommend.
I dont understand why the owner of this place is so indelicate with the service providers who come to work there .He surely hasnt understood that people who are well received are happy to come back Very arrogant, especially dont tell him ask for nothing, he makes derogatory remarks.

I never write reviews but... I ordered a vegan box for two. The quantities are ridiculous and we are not people with big appetites... thats to say. For $80+ its people laughing. But thats not the worst. I wrote an email first to see what contained soy for my intolerant child via breastfeeding. He forgot a lot of mentions so I cant eat half of the meal (he sent a sheet with the order for the allergens, I confirmed that way). It was my celebratory meal. Its a damn failure. I really dont recommend.

Hello...the Marc Hervieux show was excellent. A very ordinary supper. The salad as starter was good but served on a plate just to cover the bottom. Menu choice: pork, chicken vol au vent or pasta. We took the pork and it was hard, crushed potatoes like in a can mixed with real potatoes, no taste. The dessert chocolate cake cut very thin, small portion. The dinner is not worth the price its ridiculous. I never write but this is too much.

Last Saturday, show by Marc Hervieux Excellent. As for dinner, it was bland and light. Voucher for CHSLD meals. We havent gotten there yet even though were seniors and we know we appreciate good food. I give you a 2 star and would not return to a SUPPER show at your place, sorry.

For the dinner show the meals are really not good, really mediocre. For shows its really good to recommend. Except that you can see the singer for less and treat yourself to a good meal at the restaurant. So for the meal no star is realistic. For the show I give 5 stars. Thank you for reading this comment.
Guylaine Tanguay excellent. Disappointing dinner...portions too small, lukewarm and I didnt get what was on the menu: penny rosé sauce and I was served Fusilli tomato sauce. Too bad because for the price, I expected much better! Corrections would be expected at this level otherwise...nice evening!

August 20, 2022, dinner show of the two brothers, the show was really very good, unfortunately, we were packed like sardines, phew! dinner, disappointing, very ordinary meal, small and lukewarm portions. All the people who were sitting at the other tables near us (14) said the same thing. I take my hat off to the waitresses and waiters.

We were very pleased with the good meal from the cabin to the house. Each dish of this meal was of very good quality. It was so good that I want to do this experience again next year at the LA GRILLADE cabin.
We ordered the My Cabin at Home Box and we were very disappointed. The instructions for reheating the food were not good (twice as long). The soup was frozen and the quantity for the price was very disappointing.

My favorite sugar shack!!!
Sugar shack with beautiful decor and lots of space. Without being gourmet, the quality and price ratio was good. The desserts were excellent, but the pea soup disappointing (bland). It was interesting to have maple braised pork. Good maple taffy.

La nourriture fournie par le traiteur est bien. Le buffet est bien rempli et maintenu rempli, la nourriture est diversifiée. Le service est bien, les dames sont bien gentille. La tire fut un flop total. En plus dêtre à lintérieur (?), la tire était granuleuse, goûtait brûlée et nétait simplement pas compatible avec le bâton. Plutôt décevant, mais bon.
Beautiful establishment, the decor is magnificent. However, be prepared to wait... line up to pay and then line up to eat. No table service (buffet style) but a waitress for coffee and to serve tables. The food was good.

Very ordinary food. The tables are too close together so when you walk around with your plate its tiring. Waited around 2 hours for the makeup which was intended for CHILDREN according to the poster, because the makeup artist did the makeup for the parents too! We told him that it didnt make sense given the number of people online and his response was: they are customers too. We are not going back there.

Basically, meh. Theres nothing extraordinary here. But the food is ok. The staff is nice. Not a real maple grove for example. In the sense that there are no trees, they bring in the syrup or take store-bought syrup.

I go there every year with a group of friends. The place is clean and the staff are welcoming. However, this is just a sideboard. The food is ok but not exceptional. There are much better at the same price, or for $3 or $4 less.
Kind waitress. It was super hot. Everything tasted like water. Not worth it at all.
Lack of choice on the menu and the taffy was not edible. There was even a Mrs who ate her stick and put it back in the snow after licking it!

Too commercial, we are crowded on top of each other, the food leaves something to be desired, it wasnt hot enough, the taffy was either too boiled or not enough but it was impossible to make a stick and you have to stay on place to eat taffy you cant go outside however the waitress was very nice and she worked hard to provide excellent service. Personally I dont recommend it but its a matter of taste
