Went there with a group of 20 people. Service was a little slow to take our order but I think it is normal with a big group. Other than that service was good. The food is ok, I am not a chef but some of their food taste like frozen food (vegetables, fries). Big portion with lots of rice and potato. The sirloin steak was better than expected. Price are good too. The place wasn't too noisy. I had a good lunch experience.

Great family restaurant...just Perfect for birthdays!!! we tried this place out a few times this year and always enjoyed coming back. Well priced dishes, generous portions, and good choices. Loved escargots and fried calamari and I took home half of my main course (made great next day lunch!) to make sure I leave room for desert: Best Baklava Ever ! and great triple dip chocolate cake! - Staff was consistently and genuinely pleasant and accommodating. It was easy and a pleasure to tip above and beyond !!! Bravo Vieux Duluth !!
Steak not filet mignon as advertised. Just a cheap, very tough piece of meat. Overall food not very good. More expensive than local competitors.
Food was more than great. Big plates and very well cooked. Tried à couples of thing from friends plates, it was all good. Restaurant is pretty much always jammed packed, and it can get noisy when it's full capacity. Service was okay. Our waiter was young and had too much on her plate. Her section was too full for her capacity, she couldn't give follow up on anything. Had to ask for water a couple of times because she kept forgetting it. Same for the checks. I have seen her come back and forward to our tables 4 times before getting the checks. But she was polite and apologetic. It was not her fault. We all have to begin somewhere. 🙂 awesome experience nonetheless.
Very loud atmosphere. My kids meal was overcooked. The restaurant was understaffed. Overall experience not that great. The ratio of quality/price is not that great! At least our waitress was awesome and did all that she could for such large groups.
Surf and turf was good as was the butterfly shrimp . To our surprise it was not expensive . Hard to finish everything , their dishes are big . Service was fast and courteous . Will definitely go again .
Ordered on the website, they forgot my calamari, drove back 10 klms to get the calamari, and was told on the phone they would credit me the price of the said calamari. I arrived received stale carrot cake and cold calamari, and the manager said you have a dessert you don't need a credit. Beware very suspect behavior. This used to be a 4 star rating...

Best place for a good meal (quality/price/atmosphere) with friends or family. The food is always fresh, excellent service with personalized attention and the atmosphere is warm.

Open Tuesday lunchtime, Excellent food (tender shish kebab and butterfly shrimp), generous portions, very reasonable prices. Delicious baklava for lunch, what more could you ask for We strolled to our table afterwards and were left free...while making sure we were missing nothing but without pressure to release. Thanks to Frank33 and the Covid instructions team respected.

Second opinion that I leave for this old Duluth. For you it has gone from the best to the worst old Duluth change of ownership so the last two times we went were terrible especially the last time, filet mignon not cooked properly and full of twist, you tell me it returned in kitchen no we dont return anything in the kitchen in my opinion the rice was safe, my partners chicken was not cooked enough. In summary I was leaving for a good meal and now really disappointed.

Very hard squid and full oil. The Greek salad large chunks salad almost not cut and full oil. Ouash dinner on the other hand very nice and competent waiter.

The food was good but the service slow. My friends received their soup, ate it straight away and finished it 10 minutes after I received mine. Subsequently we received our meals not all at the same time and we had time to finish before my friend received his meal. My friend had to rush to eat his meal to leave. Just an image that he wasnt able to enjoy the meal On the other hand, the food was good, hot, and well placed. Our server did a good job too. He tried to repair the mistake of the late meal. In total for a dinner, on the lunch menu, it took 2 hours to eat and leave. Parking: Its in an old shopping center its full of holes but at least seeing as the space is ghost due to the big store closing its super easy to park

We are always satisfied and come back here for dinner again and again. Summer or winter. One of our favorite restaurants! Good service. The service team of this restaurant has not changed much. This means that employees can work happily here. The quality of the food is worth the price.

Here is my experience today with Au Vieux Duluth in Saint-Basile-le-Grand. I showed up 5 minutes before the scheduled time to pick up my order prepared online in case of hasty preparation. Nothing is better than a good hot meal and you have to put all the chances on your side when ordering to take away! Unfortunately, my order was already ready, on the counter at the entrance to the restaurant when I arrived (5 minutes early). I came home in less than 10 minutes to discover that my skewer and steak were cold. Not lukewarm but cold. The potatoes as for them; lukewarm at best and the dessert, a baklava, the box with this delicacy was packed upside down in the bag and not too pretty to see... Namely, I had paid in advance and left a very good tip. I am very very very disappointed. Dear Mr. Manager, you were at the door when I arrived, let me know if you want to discuss it. THANKS.

On December 22, 2023, for dinner with my partner, I ordered a butterfly plate, warm cold shrimp, warm cold potato, cold rice, and ordered a plate of browning fillet, browned too dry, overcooked, difficult to cut with a knife, kind of browning frozen in a package at the super C, we didnt want to change the plate too surprised poor quality of the food, I think the browning had been on the counter for a long time, the waiter was informed and wanted to give me a dessert and a coffee, we refused and my partner had a bad stomach during the night, we were there at the opening and were disappointed, we wanted to go back, very disappointed, so in the future Duluth St Hyacinthe, twice it was fresh browning that we served us, and the waiter confirmed to me that their dorer a St Basile was frozen, so no more saying that people no longer go to restaurants, due to lack of money, its worse quality of food sometimes, thank you

Good service from the waitress, but I had to return my steak twice... I asked for a rare steak and the first time I received it well done and the second time I received it blue... they told me to choose another dish and they werent going to charge me for my meal, so I took a surf n turf and on the bill they charged me for the meal, so I asked to have a meal because I returned 2 steaks and I ate after all my family had eaten and the super arrogant manager told me no because I ate my meal and who charged me for the 2 steaks which was not good good cooking. Wow thank you to the super arrogant and incompetent manager for not knowing how to satisfy a customer. I will never return to this restaurant again.

The chicken was good but I would have liked a sauce with it, everyone else had a sauce except for my chicken and butterfly shrimp dish. I spoke to the waitress and she told me I cant do anything, quite a special response.

My husband ordered a filet mignon, medium rare, and I am sure that on his plate, it was a tournedos ..not edible and full of hair, and cooked like the soles of a boot ..since the opening of the restaurant, we go there often, and for some time the filet mignons are no longer like before .our friends ate chicken skewers and the chicken cubes were not cooked enough ..has there been a change in administration or the good cook left for elsewhere,,,,,next time we will go to Vieux Duluth in Boucherville the bill with tip rose to more than $200.00 Parking: Great

Well received on arrival, fast service, cleanliness assured, toilets clean and easy to access. Bring your own wine. The walleye fillets are absolutely magnificent, large and delicious, large portions, if you like walleye you will not be disappointed with the taste, quality, quantity and price. The atmosphere is very festive with a good dessert gift for the birthday person served with a Happy Birthday sung by the staff and table neighbors which gives an incredible festive atmosphere, the lighting is adequate but not exaggerated in In short, you will have a good time without breaking the bank. It feels like a cruise.

We love enjoying a good meal at your place, it s very good. But is it possible in the future to serve children first? Make reservations for a Friday or Saturday night, souvlaki was exactly how I wanted it and bring your own wine option is really nice. Vegetarian options: Not very many vegetarian choices other than spanakopita or salad. But at least the spanakopita is good.
