Very nice welcome even if I only stopped by for a coffee or lunch.

Thats okay with the undercooked eggs, they made me another one. 2 slices of just blanched potato out of the 5 on the plate and, 1/2 ounce of a tasteless red liquid that the waitress called strawberry jam. I wont stop at this bad restaurant again.

The breaded chicken is really good. I make a detour 2 or 3 times a year just for that. Excellent coleslaw.

The ice cream was disgusting it tasted like water we ate 2-3 butcher we threw it away, but the service was ok.

No hand soap or hand paper in the mens toilet. My message to one of the employees was well received.

I am a Representative on the road, when I have luck on my itinerary, this restaurant is a must for me! Fresh food, excellent soup and what can we say about the fried chicken by far the best in the region.

A very expensive poutine with very very little cheese and very ordinary frozen fries.. bbq sauce and chicken, very good. But I dont recommend this type of plate at this price. I wont go back

Le poulet frit est de loin le meilleur en région. Beau gros morceau de poitrines de poulet désossés. Panure excellente. Grosse portion par assiette. Le poulet n est pas trop gras. Frite croustillante à l extérieur et tendre à l intérieur. Vraiment le meilleur poulet!!! Tu en as pour ton argent! Un incontournable. Vraiment un bon service en plus! Bravo!

I work on the road and decided to stop to eat there. So I tried the breaded and fried chicken fillets. I usually only eat brown chicken. I find the chicken breast too dry but surprise, this one was juicy and delicious. I live very close to Trois Rivieres, every time I go to your area I stop and taste your delicious chicken and your crispy fries.

Ordering 2 hotdogs they were excellent, my girlfriend half a poutine super well balanced, my son found the croquettes too spicy. Very satisfied we will come back here for sure Kid-friendliness: Childrens menu

Very few tables to sit on. At peak times no table available to sit, we had to go eat outside.

We had a chicken poutine with BBQ sauce, the chicken was overcooked, the fries were okay, the cheese was ABSENT (2 pieces at most), the sauce seemed more sweet and sour than BBQ. The time to receive our order was endless (at least 15 minutes). In short, I wont go back, thats for sure.

La place est chaleureuse. Le service est rapide. Je ne connaissais pas le poulet frit Maniaque. Cest vraiment bon. Jen mangerais pas tous les jours parce que ça doit être vraiment calorique mais à loccasion pas de problème. Le reste du menu...aucune idée. Un touriste comme moi doit y aller avant tout pour le poulet frit. Cest un incontournable.

If you are in a hurry, dont go there. This is my first time here and the last time in my life. Me and my partner have been waiting for 40 minutes for just 2 poutines. 10 to 15 minutes of waiting, I understand, but 40 minutes, almost an hour, is terrible and the service is not great.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our visit to the Marchand restaurant, a Lac-Saint-Jean institution. While we passed on a Sunday evening and there were only 3 or 4 customers inside, we waited between 30 and 45 minutes (depending on the 5 people at the table) to have a poutine, a hot dog, a hamburger and fish and chips. The food wasnt particularly good, the vegetable soup had chunks as big as my thumb, the fries (frozen Costco style fries) were soggy with sauce and the hot dog sausage seemed cooked in the fryer. The owners would greatly benefit from improving the quality of the food and better supporting their very young employees. Moreover, we retain their polite and warm service.

Good place for a stopover/break, cafeteria type meals. On the other hand, for cycle touring, the bike rack is hard, not even fixed to the ground. Also offers take-out meals.
