Sugar shack & mini-farm (open Feb-Apr) with a country brunch, line dancing & many kids' activities.
A great place for a celebration. The food is very good. The atmosphere is well done for the holidays. There is a large dance floor with lots of dancing. We also visited the store in the back and bought some homemade items to bring home.
Got there before opening on a weekday and it was quick to get a table. Service was super quick and staff was very friendly. Compared to prices today ut was pretty reasonable, tip is not included and bring if uf you want to leave tip. You can eat basically as much as you want, they keep askimg if you wants seconds of everything that is awesome if you wanna make your money worth it but we were two and it was a LOT of food. Overall I enjoyed the experience, I did not go to their “farm” house I think is like 3$ per person to enter something like that, but I find it a weird concept, it looks like a very small place to have all of those animals caged and in such a small enclosure, with people around visiting. So I did not like that part. The rest was awesome.
Lineup was long but food was good and all you can eat including coffee and tea (alcohol and drinks not included). The store has a lot of things the I wanted to get, lots of apple products, frozen meals and everything that qas offered from the cabane á sucre. The tire (maple taffy, included with the meal) is in another shack that also has a store with some of the stuff offered in the main building. Lots of things to do outside. They have a sleigh ride to see the tapped maple trees leading to the containers collecting all the sap (free) and a separate train ride for kids (small fee). There's a pony ride (for a fee) and a playground (free). They also have a puppet show illustrating how maple syrup is produced with a lovely toy museum display (both are free). The maple beer distillery is also there where the old flea market used to be. Downstairs is a small zoo with a small entrance fee.
This sugar shack has a beautiful decor. It really feels like we’re back in time! Another benefit is that it’s the only place that is open everyday close to Montreal however it can get quite busy. The place has a few activities for a fee which was great after the meal we had, I didn’t find the activities excessively expensive. The lady inside the animal house was very friendly!! They offer different dietary options and we opted for the regular one, overall the food is average but satisfying enough. Service will depend on who you get. We had a nice lady but she was talkative and kept forgetting things. We paid $64 for 2 entries, tips not included. I assume it’s about the same everywhere else but next time I’ll try another place.
Great food , great service, really busy but all the servers were hopping and very nice. Some great activities for the kids and the store had a lot of great food , reasonably priced. The maple syrup is delicious and I would go again.
If you're looking for a classic typical sugar shack experience this is the place to go. The food is good, the staff is friendly and you have access to that typical sugar shacking atmosphere with the horse drawn carriages, petting zoo and all. (It's also all you can eat) BUT, if you want to go just for the food and nothing else, I recommend picking it up from their store instead (or going somewhere less crowded). Especially on the weekend, the place is packed before they even open. Unless you have a large enough group (I think 30+) they do not take reservations. It's first come, first served. So the line ups can get very chaotic very fast. I admit that part is a bit stressful. Also, this place is cantine style. You sit with rows and rows of people and share certain amenities with them such as the pickled items, maple syrup, bread basket. Let's say that its an extroverts paradise. The food is very good but basic, nothing fancy. Once at the table, the initial stress from the line up fades and the experience is worth it.
The service was amazing the food was great ! I was alone between left and right tables. Yes, there’s is full of peoples. I when on March 8 around 11 am I have my own portion of food. I am actually surprise! The thing is I’m not the type of person will take other food from strangers! She give me extra food for example extra soup, extra dessert! The price was 30$ per person I give her a 10$ tips. The 30$ is include a free maple taffy and a free 5$ coupon on the back ticket I spend around 50$ to get the discount on the shop! I when to a mini zoo spend 3$ (is per Adult) very cheap I spend around 15 to 20 min over there to take lots of pictures! I when to a horse ride it cost me around 5$ per person! The ride is around 10 min is very relaxing but very short I when a perfect timing I when around 2:15 pm almost empty but if you go around 11 am or 12:30 pm it is very full ! The horse ride could be improved they should put leather seats! Wood seats was very uncomfortable ! I spend around 100$ in total I spend more than 3h 30 min over their! But I was still give this experience a 4,5 stars! I will come back in future!
We came for Saturday early bird special. We got there for 9:50am, and the lines were already very long, it’s a good sign! :) The food and service were phenomenal and generous. Everything is clean from dining area to washroom. Amazing pea soup, hot dogs, and generous maple syrup. Love the horse ride in the woods ($5 each person), as well as tire d’érable sur neige. Excellent boutique and reasonable price. A wonderful experience & highly recommended!
The Couture family was there on December 20 for dinner, what a beautiful evening, with such a talented DJ, an unlimited delicious meal, we danced like a long time ago, I recommend it to all friends, congratulations to Lorraine for the organization !!! And congratulations to the Constantins for being there, congratulations to the very experienced staff. We will see each other again for sure, health, prosperity and love to all for 2025
Lots of choice, very good food and courteous staff.
All the products are delicious!
The ready to eat shop is fantastic the choice the quantity the variety and the prices everything is fantastic my best place to eat near to date
Beautiful place for a Christmas party
Good choice of menus, personal, courteous, smiling people and good advice. Parking: Spaces for electric cars
Well my sister got married in this place there the outside it was good what is for after marriage especially for the meals it was very long it took some time just to have soup??? And a few hours to serve regular meals that we never had time to have because it was long and even my grandmother asked me to go and drive her home because it was too long!!! Ayoye and the sound system was too loud in addition to having certain groups of people who were screaming and acting like children in a daycare after having made them eat chocolate which really annoyed my grandmother who is 94 years old and frankly she was right it really got on the nerves I must admit and the games they played seriously caused a certain discomfort within the diverse groups of this marriage for example the money game each table received $100 with counterfeit 100 note and each time they changed the rules and the discomfort c installed a lot of people in the place to really not appreciate this moment seriously it led people to watch this and this hated at a certain moment to see people lurking around from our baptism table it was frankly unpleasant my grandmother was full of it and she was right especially with the gang of angry people who were agitated like crazy in an asylum after a riot my grandma it even made it so bad at ease that we said to leave and after several hours still not had main meals seriously if you fault a wedding I do not advise going there especially if you are someone like me who is more peaceful and who does not I dont like this kind of environment and above all what made us leave was the range of angry people I want to believe that we are in a marriage but there are still limits and so my grandmother wants that we left that meant everything for the service it was fast especially for the alcohol that for the alcohol there was service but for the food it left something to be desired the main table with starter was good that I must admit Anyway, I put one star, it was the first and last time I was going to go there. I would have preferred the store but unfortunately it is closed. 5 stars for the service, 1 star for the atmosphere and less than 1 star for the games, frankly bringing the world to hate this for fake money its low but hey for the pagans its not a problem it seems
Best chicken pot pie ever
Dietary restrictions: Allergie sévère aux produits laitiers très bien gérée par tout le personnel!!! Ma place était discrètement identifiée afin déviter une erreur lors du service. Food
Pleasantly surprised... Good meal and festive atmosphere...
For the traditional sugar shack, the store to buy products or the reception room, In a word, excellent!!
Attentive staff and wow it was the first time I went to the store to buy homemade products. Wow the quantity is impressive. And the price ratio is really good. We ordered for 10 people for around $130, I was surprised. I recommend.
Best place for a wedding amazing it was
It was good Wheelchair accessibility: Oui Food : 4/5 |
Simply UNBEATABLE!!!...

Incredible selection of fresh homemade Quebecois food. I bought a strawberry rhubarb tart, pickles, and a terrine. Service was warm and friendly, and their products are of unparalleled quality.
Super nice place to celebrate sugaring season with family or friends!
Super beautiful room, beautiful decor/good meal/exceptional services, beautiful atmosphere/Dance /p.s..plus Shop access Any souvenir maple syrup product
I went to the Constantin sugar shack I really liked the place the food is very good the service is excellent yes it is a very good place to spend some very good times thank you all for your service SUPER YES!
Best sugar shack! Very nice atmosphere, served like king and queen. Warm atmosphere with lots of activity.
The staff goes beyond our expectations. People always have a smile despite enormous stress to satisfy all these beautiful people. Thank you very much to the entire CONSTANTIN Team! Parking: Very large parking lot, including several spaces for people with reduced mobility as well as electric vehicles. Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is suitable
Super
Slow service and not many choices for a vegetarian
The line was so long. If you dont want to wait for a long time, be there around 9.30 in the morning. The food was ok, actually nothing special. We had to wait for a long time to be served. Lets not talk about the farm. Otherwise, i have to write a lot
Amazing food and great service , lots of fun activities for kids and people of all ages
Always very good, nice atmosphere and good service
Friendly staff Delicious food, place is not overcrowded Space between tables is good Clean Highly recommend for families and friends
Nice, a bit expensive perhaps, but a good time.
Not much choice of food. And then you have to pay to see the animals and ride the ponies. And everyone is really dirty
Bought two pork pies,,,why the pie bases are never cooked...very good but,,,! Very good pancakes,,,and very good cream sugar..!
Large-volume sugar shack offering varied and abundant Sugar Time cuisine. Good value for money.
Love the place
Best place I ve gone in years. Amazing they have the bouncy slides outside for free and the animals . The puppet show was awesome for the kids. Kid-friendliness: Amazing for the kids !!!
My family and I went to this Cabana a Sucre for several years. Today the service was absolutely awful and mean. The quebecois woman at table 23 (possible her name is Pascal) was inattentive, RUDE, with bad attitude, and terrible service skills. On top of the attitude she gave us, we almost had to beg her for food refills. We left very disappointed. Not coming back.
The baked beans have no sauce in them, the eggs burn, the dry ham all the food really not good too chef for a meal like that I will never go back there
Wow! Beautiful sugar shack! The servers are great. They listen to what you ask and are quick to provide it to you. Throughout the service they remain smiling, polite, courteous and attentive to our needs. I tried a drink La plage d oka WOW!!!!! IT TASTES HEAVEN!!!! , Excellent music, smart DJ and a complete shop. The gentleman who managed the employers and the running of the evening did a great job too. I loved my experience, I recommend this place 100% and I am sure I will return there Thanks to the entire Constantin team Kid-friendliness: Inflatable games / Small farm / Large outdoor module with slide / Carriage ride
Constantins taffy on snow is one of the best. _____________________________________________ The best sugar shack, and very close to home. I really like their pea soup, their little sausages in syrup, but especially their jowls , thick slices of salty bacon. With Covid, we had a lot of distancing from others, so we had the buffet to ourselves, great because we kept the atmosphere without sticking too closely to others, so I was very comfortable. The waitress came to bring us a new plate when empty. The wait was long standing in line to wait for a table. Too bad that in the evening, after our meal, they closed the boutique section, we couldnt go there, even though we love the little maple candies. _____________________________________________ Takeout orders during the holiday season is a winning formula, its so good! Favorite for their meatball stew. The meat pie was also very good.
Superb experience, succulent, Barmaid at reception a little rude but everything else was perfect
What an amazing place. You don t need reservations, they have plenty of space. Maybe a 15-30 minutes wait during peek hours but well worth it. The food and service was the best I ever had at a Cabane a sucre. A must! Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to eggs and cheese and they were amazing about it! They asked me! Parking: Plenty of free parking space Kid-friendliness: Super amazing service . Lots of activities for the kids !!
The really nice atmosphere! A beautiful puppet show and a short tour of the mini farm. A little disappointed with the food, for a price per person.. the main dishes were an omelette with a slice of ham, steamed potato..
Its good for sugars Kid-friendliness: Outdoor games
Very good meal. Do not give away the surplus from the meal like other cabins
It s somehow not what I expected, it feels like everyone comes here to eat.
I read quite a few good comments I was and they were very well served and also there is bacon which has another name a little overcooked but ok, at the end there are ear of criss pancakes I ordered 3 times so its up to you. Maple strop with very good milk. Tire on very soft snow made a good choice to eat at this place. I recommend it..a lot of people but it moves quite quickly...
Having worked there for 2 seasons Cleanliness ensure Courteous service Excellent meal Homemade beer Chez Constantin will always be for me the place of sugars visited The owners always present and managers always ready to answer you
Good food. Great service.
Wow, this is excellent service!!!!!
The sugar shack wasnt too busy when we went for a Good Friday, the food was good and plentiful, and we greatly appreciated the organization
Añways 5 stars
The menu is not worth $40 per person... it comes in small quantities I understand for the waste but it was wow... the eggs full of water the bacon was not good all the bread was as hard as a rock pudding to the unemployed lasts also clearly not fresh! I liked it before but changed +++ unfortunately I wouldnt go back there again $160 for that I am very disappointed on knowledge.. the service was good on the other hand and the employees also only good point.
Delicious and hot, welcoming and very proactive staff. They quickly replenish empty dishes. The only downsides: very tight with table neighbors and you still have to pay to see the animals. With the price paid, this could be included.
The food is disgusting.
The place is nice. Prices are affordable, but for some services you have to pay in cash.
Difficult to find better elsewhere. Impeccable service, kindness of the staff, cleanliness, quality of food, generous quantities and what can we say about the omelette, a pure delight. Beautiful atmosphere Beautiful decor We just cant wait to go back After several years We have never been disappointed. After trying several places this remains our top 1
We went with friends today and I was disappointed: The pickles were so vinegary that it was sore throat. The bread was stale, the potatoes were just boiled and tasteless. The eggs, ham and small sausages were good. The desserts were excellent The waitress Andree was excellent
We decided to make the sugar shack at home. We ordered the dishes cooked by the Constantin sugar factory. The dishes are well packaged, the instructions are very clear but above all it is extremely delicious and the portions are very generous. Everything is tasty, a real treat. We also bought other cooked meals on site and everything is delicious. For us, the value for money is excellent!
plain boiled potatoes, boiled cocktail hotdogs, fake bacon. for $40 a person? the only redeeming qualities were the dessert, pea soup, and our server was very nice. this place solidified im done going to cabane a sucre.
Maple farm with live experience
This is a great Cabane à sucre for a traditional dinner. Great for kids, brought the grandkids and they had a lot of fun on the blow up slide, the small animal farm, park and best of all the puppet show at the doll display. Dinner was as expected, the maple syrup is unreal. Took a horse pulled sled ride through the forest for a look at how the trees are tapped. One thing I wish I could have done is like when I grew up, drink from the sap bucket at a tree. Once dinner is done, make sure to go for the tire érable on snow, roll it on a stick and enjoy. Overall a very nice day.
Food was pretty terrible.. tasteless and plain. They served pea soup, mini hot dogs, simple boiled potatoes with no flavour, terrible eggs, small amount of ham, breakfasts beans, and something that looked like bacon which was awful. The dessert was good at least and the maple taffy of course. You have to pay extra for a short and boring horse carriage ride and pay again to enter into a petting zoo which has birds, rabbits, sheep, etc. all in small enclosures inside a small building. Wasn t impressed and won t be returning.
It s unhealthy but delicious the service is amazing and the section for animals is amazing too
Food was horrible. Not enough food Very disappointed considering the amount we paid. I certainly would not recommend. Save your money and go elsewhere
Extraordinary shop.....choice to indulge your sweet tooth in all its forms....
We had a great time at constantin. Food and place was great We need to wait for the ticket and another waiting line for the table and food. But it s all worth it. Kid-friendliness: A lot of activities after for the kids.
Yummy Parking: Front and rear 200 spots Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor
Wedding reception, beautiful place and beautiful decor
A huge room with hundreds of customers. The food is good, but its not the best sugar shack Ive been to. The price of $32 tip not included is a bit expensive in my opinion.
Great place if youre looking for a place that accommodates a vegetarian menu.
It was so good
The food is NOT good, it s the most basic lunch you can imagine. Listen to me, if you pay the 40$ you will regret it. He charges extra for the orange juice and you have to pay $3 if you want to see animals locked in rooms that are too small.
The cuisine is really basic: omelette, boiled potatoes and beans. Really not the best sugar shack considering the price. Fortunately the service is quality.
The best cabane a sucre Kid-friendliness: Perfect for kids,theres a nice zoo ,horse ride,dolls museum Food : 5/5 |
good food with very welcoming service thanks to the waitress Sylvie
Friendly place where you will find what you can in terms of maple sugar products and gifts. Parking: Vast, around the buildings.
Not much to do but eat.
Super fast service.. lots and lots of space.. best to reserve. Closed at the end of April.
2nd time here this season and this year was my first time coming. Service is good, food is good, and overall a nice experience
Cabane à Sucre Constantin is a delightful escape into the heart of Quebecs maple syrup tradition, and its an experience thats hard to forget. Located in a picturesque setting, this sugar shack offers a genuine taste of rustic charm combined with hearty, delicious traditional meals. As soon as you step into Cabane à Sucre Constantin, youre welcomed by a warm, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff are wonderfully hospitable, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable and relaxed. The food is undoubtedly the star of the show; youll find yourself indulging in a feast of maple-infused dishes from the succulent ham and crispy fried pork rinds to the fluffy omelets and homemade baked beans. And, of course, no visit is complete without tasting their signature maple taffy on snow, a sweet treat that delights visitors of all ages. In addition to the fantastic food, Cabane à Sucre Constantin offers a variety of activities that capture the essence of the sugaring season. Whether its a horse-drawn carriage ride through the maple grove or a visit to their mini-farm, theres plenty to do that will keep both kids and adults entertained. The combination of scrumptious meals, engaging activities, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes Cabane à Sucre Constantin a must-visit during the sugaring season. Its a place where memories are made, and traditions are celebrated, making it perfect for family outings or a day trip with friends.
Excellent sugar shack. The servers are courteous and very helpful. They provided us with a lot of information about the sugar shack and the different opening dates. The person in charge of taffy on the snow explained to us everything about the operation and history of the Constantin sugar shack. It was very interesting to know that they produce Les Produits d Antan . Constantin is truly a great Quebec company. Congratulations! They now have charging stations for electric cars. Parking: They have free charging stations.
Nice place to spend a day with family. Good food and good service
I wouldnt call it a sugar shack. The food has nothing to do with a Quebec sugar shack. Nothing tasteful. In addition, almost all activities are paid for on the site in addition to the amount you have already paid. Very slow service and no one has a smile. It s a money factory, it has to work and have as many people as possible passing through in a day so go go go. Very disappointing and never again. I dont recommend.
I noticed that its more the name and tradition than the quality. It was recommended to me because it was one of the best known, but unfortunately the experience was not pleasant, festive atmosphere, but disappointing especially for the food. Omelette too dry and with a strange taste, the ears of crisis too too salty, we were not able to eat them. Not famous. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it.
Unfortunately I didnt think to take a photo of the dishes but the service was perfect. I recommend the pea soup which I dont usually like. Thats what I preferred. Carriage ride for $5 we had to go to the sugar shack next door. Inflatable games very popular with children. Kid-friendliness: Yes very suitable for children.
Great warm and friendly place. I discovered the sugar shack when we arrived from France. A great experience for children and adults. And a lot of fat and sugar too Kid-friendliness: Yes. Inflatable game, outdoor play structure, farm, carriage ride...
Overpriced, over rated. Extra cost for everything. This place has lost its charm for sure. Pure cash grab every inch of the place. Even to see the animals. Come on! The modules in the back are death traps. Not an adult supervisor in sight except where there are paying activities of course. Miniscule dirty bathrooms for a huge dining room. Food was very ordinary, disappointing even. Boiled tasteless potatoes. No crêpes. Wheres the bacon? And no glasses for water, theyll bring you another coffee mug but you have to ask and it will arrive 10 minutes later. Servers were friendly but overall a very disappointing visit. Better off going for brunch somewhere at half the price.
Very good service 10/10 we will go back
Very expensive to eat eggs, ham etc. Even for tipping we say it repeatedly. Hard to forget Carriage ride 15min $5 per person. Mimi closes $3 per person. Money machine. Tourist trap. Unfortunately the cabins are no longer what they used to be.
Super clean. You take a long time when we arrive to pay. Without reservation they dont take any. Very expensive prices
We went there and everything was an outstanding service...including the table service...the food and the activities...smiling and helpful employees...I recommend this sugar shack
It was $23 just 3 years ago. Now 46$ what did it cost?
Excellent value for money, at $32 on Wednesdays. Good food and efficient, fast service despite the crowds.
It does the job, but the service was slow. You have to pay for everything (farm, carriage ride...). Its not like before.
food is ok for a sugar shack. not very nice sharing a table and food with poeple you dont know we were a group of 5, and put us with a group of 4.... the animal section is a nice touch Food : 3/5 |
Food was good. service was good. There was a line up to get in. The crowd control guy at the entrance was a bit rude Lol. but besides that everything was enjoyable.
The place is really good the service is very good and also the ice cream is excellent too I love this place Im sure Im going to come back next year
I have been going there since I was young and every time I am very happy when I leave
Kid-friendliness: Plein dactivités sont disponibles après le repas pour les enfants comme des structures gonflables, des tours de calèche etc .. et il y a une ferme à visiter ( 3$ me semble ) Food
Too commercial. Food ok. The desserts are very good. But its not worth the entry cost of $40 per person. C so
Beautiful huge cabin, delicious food, small b-mol, the tables are too full, my elbows were almost on my neighbors plate. We should be less crowded, it s really unpleasant! Gift shop complete with everything to sweeten our taste buds.
I was pleasantly surprised! I honestly wasnt expecting much given that its a very industrial sugar shack. Apart from the boiled potatoes, the food was excellent Maple taffy is unlimited. There are even places for electric vehicles
Fun atmosphere for young kids to old. All you can eat breakfast with pickle condiments and great ice cream desert.
It was really good. The bacon was hot and melted in your mouth.
Excellent food! Very warm service and atmosphere...thank you
First and last experience for this cabin. $40 per person only for the very basic meal and very little quantity at a time. (Example 5 hot dog cocktail sausages not even in syrup for 10 people ) In addition to only ordinary pancakes which come from a powdered mixture. Not even grandfather pancakes. Very stupid staff&Service. And not to mention the outdoor activities for children, everything costs money!! Going to see the animals costs money even for children over 2 years old Never again !! Parking: Parking on asphalt at least but $$
Constantin has become such a big company... Yet it still works. The service is efficient, the food is good. There s even a puppet show and a little farm for children, it s cool. Big downside: the price. At $40 for 13 meals, we would expect, precisely, that the farm would be free, that the little taffy at the end of the meal would be unlimited like everything else... in short its good, but not charming. I recommend without hesitation for large groups.
Super nice. Friendly staff and good food. Enjoyed it very much
Commercial and traditional since 1941. All the classics, with very good service. The places are small but thats part of the experience. The ticket includes taffy on snow. A large inflatable module for children and an outdoor fireplace for older children. Exotic animal mini-farm for $3. The children were happy. Dietary restrictions: OK for allergy: Peanuts & Tree Nuts
The best sugar shack
Traditional sugar shack ambiance, friendly staff and food is well executed!
Unfortunately the food is really really bland. And not cheap for such mediocre food. Hot dogs not sausages, overcooked flavourless eggs, rubbery ham, boiled unseasoned potatoes, no tourtiere or meatballs. One of the first times I ve left a sugar shack hungry. The line up was about 45 mins on a Wednesday at 12pm which was not expected. It s a bit strange to have to sit beside strangers and constantly bug them to pass you bread/water and condiments. But the staff is great and the little shop is full of actual good food. Maybe just go to the shop and skip the meal. For the money you could buy yourself a real feast from the shop.
