Went for Sunday brunch and flights of wine. The food very unique and amazing to eat. The portions were very good as well. We enjoyed our flights of wine. We will definitely go back. It is a great place for a special celebration which is why we were there.
Visited around Christmas time for wine tasting and a tour. It was a super pleasant experience. Very well maintained and pretty locals, excellent restaurant, courteous staff and overall a great idea for a Sunday trip. Will certainly be back in summer to enjoy the outside too.
We overall had a great experience at this vineyard. We booked The Bistro for lunch and their cheese platter was one of the best we’ve had! The platter paired well with the selection of wines. The only downside was the cashier at the boutique. She was unfriendly and spoke bluntly.
Loved the food, the ambience, the service. We were there on a Sunday - accompanied by perfect weather. If you want to go, definitely make a booking - I am not sure there even is an option not to. If the weather is to your liking when you go - do make sure to spend some time walking around the grounds. Oh, and - enter their wine/chocolate shop at your own risk: you need a lot of self-control there - to my palate, the wines were absolutely irresistible and I was only limited by my credit card limit. :)
Lovely vineyard! Staff are friendly but our wine tasting guide Raudet was little annoying, as she complains too much about her day. I enjoyed the tasting of five different wines plus we get to keep our glass. That package was 22$. The bistro was unfortunately full therefore we couldn’t eat there. The vineyard was big, and the rustic decor was beautiful. Overall, it was pretty good experience.
What a wonderful place! We had a great time here and enjoyed a cheese platter with selection of wines. We liked the William Blanc so much that we purchased a bottle at the store.
It's always a pleasure to have brunch here. We enjoyed the food, drinks, view and service... Excellent experience overall!
Worth a visit! The wine was fantastic. The service was amazing. The food was great. Make sure to book a reservation at the bistro to get a table on the terrace. They also have the option of getting wine & cheese at the boutique and eating a picnic outside.
Excellent experience! We loved Renée, our tour guide. Interesting, funny, well suited to its audience. We would happily return!
We loved Renée and our visit. 10/10
The place is absolutely magnificent! The food served is excellent as well as the service, the atmosphere, the availability and the kindness of the staff. We will definitely return.
I recommend this place BUT with a slight downside. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday at the end of October 2024 and we ordered vegetable lunch poutines which came with the following vegetables; peppers, tomatoes, broccoli and onions. Vegetables that are easy to find even in October. They served us frozen salad (peas, cut green beans, carrots). Disappointing for the price $$ asked for a breakfast poutine to receive Macedonia without any notice. Very good service and perfect welcome. Pay attention to your orders.
Im not giving it a 5 because I plan to go back to take advantage of the other activities like the brunch, the VIP tasting including a tour, the picnic basket, etc. There is something for all tastes and all prices which are also affordable. During my tasting, brilliantly commented by Renaude, I learned as much about the wines as about the places. She really deserves a wine in her name as she proclaims out loud! I had a lovely afternoon and I plan to go back before the seasonal closing!
A very nice welcome, beautiful orchard, restaurant everything is magnificent, meal generous portions, very very delicious in my opinion goat cheese salad, pasta, dessert..everything was perfect..very good service..staff all very friendly
Excellent service the food was also excellent.
I went to harvest today, just wow, great experience and interesting. Beautiful place to discover for several occasions
Completely ridiculous bistro and bad service we cant have egg scrambles for adults but they make them for children really stupid not to accommodate customers especially when you already make them. First and last time in your establishment, next time we will go elsewhere with our group.
Great experience Extremely dedicated and very attentive staff. Thank you for everything, this evening was more than up to par.
Beautiful vineyard. The resturant was very good. The staff at the shops were amazing.
Wow! What a great experience we had! We started with the VIP visit and tastings led by Pierre. And what about the bistro dinner, A FEAT ALL THROUGHOUT, a meal worthy of a great chef, see for yourself
I cant remember having eaten as well for lunch and receiving such pleasant and professional service as that of Alisson. Thank you for your superb service and kindness. It deserves by far a 10 star but unfortunately I can only give it 5. See you soon with my whole family.
An incredible harvest experience! A generous owner with his explanations and his time with our group. A passionate person who passes on his love of the vine to us. This is an activity that I recommend without hesitation. To definitely do it again next year.
Lovely staff
$160 for 2 small portions of starters and 2 main courses of the same size. 1 glass of wine, 1 coke and 1 cup of coffee. It was tasty but I was completely in shock at their portions!! Dessert was the Pâtissiers Delight a simple apple cake?! 1st time and last time!
A very joyful and excellent picnic with local products, at Vignoble Rivière du Chêne. We enhanced our basket with dark chocolate orange peels. A great way to end our meal in style. In addition, we leave with our small basket, the knife and 2 souvenir glasses bearing the image of the vineyard. Thank you for this beautiful moment
Very beautiful vineyard, lovely welcome
We went on a VIP tour of the vineyard, we would like to thank Pierre our guide who was super interesting, pleasant, friendly, he answered our questions and explained lots of interesting things to us. I recommend this visit. We particularly liked the sparkling wine and the white. The vineyard is very well landscaped and the landscape pleasant. Thanks again Pierre!
Beautiful mid September 30 degree + day. Went for an afternoon general wine tasting and left a little disappointed. Over $50 for two people for 5 very small tastings of each. They were poured rather quickly without getting a chance to properly savour the one before. Also, the 3 reds tasted similar to each other, could ve swapped one for a rosé. Would ve been more worth it buying a bottle, sitting on a picnic table and enjoying the views.
Very beautiful place
VIP visit wowwww!!! Delicious products, a relaxing and splendid place where you have an incredible time. Thanks to our sommelier Pierre for the visit, really a good time!! Good continuity and looking forward to seeing you again
The charcuterie and cheese platters are good. The only problem was the service which greatly affected our experience. We didnt like the manager, the restaurant was empty and he was reluctant to give us a free table on the edge of the terrace. His sarcastic comments were not welcome and instead of being offered a takeaway box we were offered the door when the bistro closed. We asked for a box to finish our dish on the vineyard grounds and the waitress offered us other glasses to take away the wine that we had not finished. I will try another vineyard next time!
I cant believe the service we got from the manager. Very sarcastic. This is our first vineyard and we were poorly served. It was stressful at closing time. I couldnt reply to the message but here it is; 1. We didnt know we needed a reservation and the restaurant was empty. 2. We were informed 10 minutes before leaving that we had to leave. 3. We asked for the table in question since it was available and were told that we were asking for a lot . This type of behavior is unacceptable in restaurant service.
My partner and I went to do the wine tasting with commentary. Renaude did it very well with a humorous touch as she explained the different wines and the history of the vineyard to us. They also have several things to eat on site to accompany the wines. However, even if Quebec wines will never be great wines, we had a very nice day at the vineyard.
I ordered poutine and it was not related to poutine, there was no gravy sauce at all. Also on Saturday and Sunday they only offer brunch. Also there was no AC and we were sweating
Very beautiful as a vineyard and the land is very large There is the choice of tasting wines, buying them by glasses either on the terrace or the bistro or buying a bottle at the shop and drinking it on site. However if you buy a bottle that needs to stay cold, they dont provide a container for ice... you have to buy a clear bag for this purpose (I believe they are between $7-9 + tax). We got the sparkling wine and cheese, very good.
Always excellent
The Rivière du Chêne vineyard offers a wide choice of taste experiences: picnic packages, guided wine tasting, harvest in the fall or if you are feeling a little peckish, a charming bistro located upstairs awaits you. We really enjoyed our experience. The meal at the bistro was a delight! Thanks to Pierre, the sommelier, for the wine tourism activity!
The food and service were good, but the restaurant had a serious fly problem. Flies kept landing on our food, with one even landing in our red wine. Additionally, we discovered a fly in our takeout box when we were finishing the leftover pizza at home, which was quite unpleasant.
Brought a long-time friend to whom I praised the meals. The flies were constantly circling us in the dining room, we couldnt chat quietly. Even after mentioning it kindly, we were told that the doors to the terraces would remain open. I have nothing against it if it makes the service easier, but make sure the flies dont bother the customers. Just to enjoy the meal.
Very nice place, and the brunch was well organized and super interesting choices.
Incredible wine and service, not to mention the view! Highly recommend!
Tasting boards with wines. Good but too expensive. Quiet, pleasant restaurant, very good service. TOP welcome to the store.
A beautiful vineyard to experience, with attentive and helpful staff! We very much enjoyed our time here.
Excellent tasting in the cellar with sommelier Pierre. The explanations, the stories he himself experienced and the clear answers to our questions added something positive to the presentation. He is friendly and interesting. I recommend everyone to do this experience and the tasting from the barrels for wines at different stages was a great discovery.
Super beautiful vineyard! The tour and wine tasting with Axcel was very informative and enjoyable An enriching experience with a passionate guide and wine connoisseur! Thank you Axcel
Superb place for brunch on the terrace with a view of the vineyard, you can even have a picnic, we loved it! To do again.
Been here a few times and really enjoyed!
Excellent time spent with Pierre. A pleasant and informative hour. Beautiful exchanges. I recommend without hesitation!
Great place for family brunch , delicious food , pleasant atmosphere .
Great VIP visit with Pierre. Very interesting. A passionate guy. Thanks again.
Great experience worthy of Niagara on the lake. Beautiful Quebec wine with character worthy of the best French terroirs. Delicious menu. 100% chill lounge chairs. You know everything
a very cozy place where you can spend the day with family or friends. You can bring your own food and enjoy their drinks. Open space with wonderful views. Excellent service with staff and live music.
Great place, great food.. will definitely visit again
I recently went to dinner and there were 4 of us. The dining experience was excellent however, I was very disappointed with the presence of several flies hanging around the tables when there was food! It was a real scourge!! I mentioned this to the waitress and she replied that her superior knew it and that it was due to the fact that there were fields around the establishment. In addition, there was no question of closing the terrace door to avoid bringing flies inside. This left me perplexed and I didn t feel listened to. I killed 14 flies at my table...frankly it was nonsense...we were literally invaded. I deplore this situation and I hope that this message will be taken seriously.
Very nice place. The wine tasting was good and the actual wine bottles are fairly priced and super good. I tried almost all their wines and they are super good. As an ice wine enthusiast, i give them my seal of approval, their ice wine and erapteros wine is super delicious! The actual winery area is also really pretty and relaxing. Well worth a visit.
Great experience with our sommelier Axel wow I see invites you to experience it
Warm place especially our sleeper Axel.Smiling staff
we had an excellent evening with their fiery, dynamic and professional team, we will return as soon as possible ;)
Very nice place to visit especially on a beautiful sunny day. Went to brunch for Fathers Day. The food was good and quite affordable. Impeccable courteous service. The problem arose when paying with our gift certificates which cannot be converted into cash...even if paid $50 per guest. We understand that if there is an unused amount left on the $50 certificates, they do not give us any money and thats okay. But the remaining amounts cannot even be used to buy products at the store! But the worst thing, noticed later, when seeing the bill, is that the tip counted in the remaining amount of the certificate is not even given to the waitress! A tip of $13 therefore disappeared and therefore not given to the waitress.!!! The chef on site explained to us that since it says no cash value, management does not accept that the tip can be taken from the remaining amount of the certificate! The tip that we thought we had left for the very kind and patient waitress had therefore been removed and therefore not included in the gift card! So the $50 gift card was only worth $37 since the $13 was not given to the waitress!!! Where does the $13 not given to the waitress go since it was paid in the certificate? Many people Ive spoken to about this cant believe it and wonder if its legal...in any case, its not very ethical and loyal on the part of management towards its staff... When you buy a $50 gift certificate, it should be worth $50 that you can use as you wish... really saddening this situation. So dont buy a gift certificate from this winery unless youre using it exclusively for the store... We left with a bitter taste and yet, we also bought wines before leaving...we cant say that we are close to our money...on the other hand we didnt add another $13 to the waitress, we had already put $5 in cash to increase her tip, so believing she had given $18, she only received $5. Too bad.
Delicious and gargantuan meal with friends! Very friendly and attentive staff Delicious and gargantuan meal with friends! Staff is very nice and pays attention to details
Excellent food, wines ok, not sure about the little beef boss.
The wines are good, but the host Axel is harsh in cursing
Bistro, excellent Mothers Day brunch, but a $3 coffee extra?? why not put the price of coffee in the price of the table, Really offensive!
All the resto staff are very kind and helpful, Dishes are healthy and delicious, I would like to visit for picnic, If they allow dog would be fantastic.
I went to look and was surprised because they were open.jao buy almost all their differney tyoe wine to taste. My favorite was the frozen vintage of the Laurentides. A late harvest wine. A good level of sugar, beautiful color and very pleasant in the mouth. We are going back this summer for a picnic and wine tasting.
Excellent atmosphere, smiling and courteous employees, I was with a group for a tasting visit and meal it was A1! I recommend it to anyone who loves wine, Rivière du oak makes an excellent Quebec product that is a must-see! A little secret hidden on the north shore to discover!
Amazing place
We had the opportunity to go there for their lobster and wine dinner. The service is excellent and we loved the lobster cooking offered, not forgetting the lobster bisque. We will definitely return in the next few weeks to try the weekend brunches
Great lobster evening everything was excellent! Great terrace with a beautiful view of the vineyards.
Beautiful Quebec vineyard. We ate on the bistro terrace. Very pleasant. Brunch menu and lunch menu. View of the vineyard. We had reservations.
Very nice place and good product but for the visit, there is a lot to improve. $15 for visit and tasting. The visit lasts 3 minutes. and we visit nothing, because of Covid 19. Why then demand the same price? On the website it says: no reservation necessary. Error, due to poor management, it is better to reserve.
Customer service leaves something to be desired... We dont feel welcome and I dont understand why??
We went to dinner with a group of friends at the TAPAS party!!! on Saturday :) and it was delicious we loved EVERYTHING EVERYTHING without exception!! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes to eat well and drink good wine. The price is very reasonable and the service very friendly. We will return without hesitation the experience is a 5 out of 5
Excellent multi course meal! Service was beyond expectations.
Great concept of tapas, try more and share. Impeccable service and gorgeous view of the sunset. Highly recommend to all the nature and wine lovers
Its a beautiful winery. Its very comfortable and relaxing to enjoy wine and food with friends. The service is also very good, love this place.
Lobster dinner. A team attentive to extraordinary service.
Very nice place good service good atmosphere and good food
Lobster, entré, beef , wine, dessert , service , coffee , everything was over the top 20/10
Very nice atmosphere, courteous welcoming staff. We will come back.
Bucolic experience at the vineyard! Great picnic idea :) On the other hand, I recommend that you ask whats in your bag, because youre not sure about the pairing of goat cheese sausage and white wine! And bring a penknife, because good luck opening the package of sausage and cutting it!
Lovely quiet place for a getaway from the city. View was nice, food was great. Went for a brunch and their latte was one of the best Ive had, a very pleasant surprise.
I loved my evening, the food is a pleasure in the mouth. The wine is excellent, I am very picky in but choice of wine. I must admit that it is good and has something for everyone.
Great views and friendly service. The wine that we drank was very good but unfortunately the food was a let down. Beef tartare was really lacking flavour and the beef was poorly cut. The losbter/shrimp roll tasted weird. The fries were good.
Magnificent experience! Super good and super beautiful! Well done!
We were 5 women. We arrived around 12:30. Bistro ; good food and amazing view ! We had the wine Gabrielle, beef tartar, salad niçoise . Pain dore, and the guedille. Arrived at the reception for the wine tasting but we got informed that they don t have any availability for the next 2 hour. ( something she should told us before my opinion ..) We decided to do our own degustation so we bought 4 bottle ! It seems for them to be hard to explain the wine in order for us to decide which one we had to buy. We didn t feel the women like to work there or don t want to put any effort. I asked for a ice bucket with ice. She told me they don t have???? What ..?? I had to go inside to buy a little plastic wine bag for 10$ each ???. Didn t wanted to spend on this. Already bought 4 bottle+ It was so hot outside I just took one plastic wine bag filled with ice so we can put it on our glasses ( no choice to spill the wine at this point ) Time for the cheese platter ! We go upstairs at the bistro , the server came in panic to tell us we can t sit here with the wine ! ???? The wine is the same everywhere! It s their wine He told us the wine purchased downstairs has to be drinked downstairs and the one at bistro has to be drink upstair at the bistro . Although it is the exact same and bistro is closed. ( it was 3pm ) okay? Can t stay on the patio to relax neither . We felt kicked out. But ! Nevertheless we want to enjoy our day ! we are dedicated to find solutions. They don t sell cheese plater at their store downstairs ( Huge lack .. ) so we bought their cheeses individually, crouton and jam at the souvenir store . And helpless.. again. They don t have plate, anything from the kitchen, NOTHING to accommodate us. Anything to give us for our little pik nic. I asked her if I can ask their bistro for knife and a plate. She said no so we had to cut our cheese with a wood knife and eat on the table with hand paper and a plastic cup to put our crouton in . Improvised . NOBODY offered us service their really don t cares. oh and on our way to do our picnic. I saw a employe at the wine stand pouring ice on a wine bucket she literally lied to me. ( but why ..? We bought 5 bottle total we didn t deserve at least a bucket so we can enjoy our day at your facility? And why lying ? ) Very nice place but it s SO unfortunate to have such a bad service, NON LOGIC way to operate their business. We will never go back and recommend because of this. Only go for the bistro and leave.
Great places to go for a picnic with a good bottle of chilled wine. The prices are very fair and the service is great. Plenty of seating or on the grass to choose from. Rosé price 15+taxes.
We were at the vineyard for dinner yesterday Thursday July 20, 2023. Everything was A1. Annie our waitress so nice, very good service. Good bottles of wine (3) what can we say about the food...superrrr nothing disappointed us, the pork cheek was delicious. We cant wait to go back. I have already recommended this place to my colleagues. Thanks for everything.
We came here for a romantic picnic to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Pierre was such a nice host. He recommended a very nice wine. People like make the whole difference. Well definitely be back!
We went there at 2 p.m. for the charcuterie and cheese platter with tasting of 3 wines (rosé, white and red). Very good! Nice little romantic outing. Beautiful place!
Excellent service, perfect food and wine pairing
Beautiful, enchanting place for photo shoots. 25 hectare vineyard, simply magnificent. We tried the tasting board including 3 wines of our choice. The staff is friendly and attentive, also very knowledgeable about the products. I loved my experience and I have to do it again
Beautiful place with enchanting decor. We first attended the tasting on the terrace. Unfortunately, there were also people having their picnic and talking loudly, so we couldnt hear very well. The choice of the place for the tasting was not well chosen in my opinion. In addition, we did not like any of the wines presented, they lacked body and all had a very safe taste in addition to not being served at an adequate temperature (too cold). The staff were welcoming and kind, on this point, no complaints. We finally finished with dinner at the bistro. The dishes were good and the portions were generous. Excellent service!
Well cant say much about the taste test, since we never got to that point. I found the phone # and decided to give them a call, and asked them when and how much about the taste test. The girl answered me and said we start at 10 am and its FREE, yes you heard me, she said its FREE, so in my car with our friends and of we go. Place looks great, but talking to the staff upon our arrival, 3 out of 4 of them, responded with an attitude as if it was a favor from them to us for being there. We got there at 11:00 am, and went inside, the main lady in charge told us that the taste test did not start before 12:00 pm, ok so we sat down and chatted with our friends in the meantime, since the weather was so great. Close to 11:50am we asked a staff person where do we go to taste test? She answered us - You have to go inside and book your place WHAT!!!! Yep, the places were already full till 1:00 pm, not willing to wait another hour, we left. :( Disappointing that the main staff woman, could not just have told us, book now we have some availability for 12:00, since you need to book to reserve a spot. I guess their loss, since we all went to another winery, and bought a case of wine there instead. Bad communication from their part, and bad move from me not having read their website instead of only calling. By the way, the taste test wasnt FREE as she indicated, but $20 pp. And yes, I know this is about the normal price they started charging these day. COVID fault, I guess. Another disappointing fact we found out on site is that we could no longer visit the basement to take pictures of the barrels, because of the COVID, even if they show you pictures on the Website with people taking a drink on a barrel. - OK, added to post for your reply below ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> As I said, my fault for not visiting your Website and thinking to trust that the personal would answer my questions, and elaborating a bit more on the details. Example: #1 Girl on phone told me it started at 10:00 for taste test, and it was free! Well at least this part she was correct, but did not mention that there was also a different package for $20 with the full story starting only later. Example #2 We got there at 10:55 all four of us went to the front desk for a taste test as per my conversation on the phone, but got told straight out by the lady in charge that day, that the taste test started only at 12:00 PM and the cost was $20 pp. Ok, 1 hour to wait, it s nice outside let s sit down and wait, but not happy about the added cost not mentioned since we were told it was FREE, but we accepted. (The error was, she assumed we wanted the $20 package, and not just taste the wine at the counter like you mentioned in your comment.) (The 2nd error, at that time she should have advised us to register, since places were limited, - she did nothing of this). Example #3 -> As we were waiting, we asked one of the girls setting up the tables, if it was possible to visit the basement so we could take pictures near the barrels while in our taste test, she replied, NO! the basement is now closed for all visitors, because of the COVID! Those were her exact words. Conclusion: As we went back in at 11:50 am we were told it was full and that we had to register for 1:00 pm. I hope these steps layout out for you are clearer, in what happen in our visit. Personal in charge should be updated on the way to respond to clients and taking time to fill them in, which she lacked for us at that time. Imaging your very early for visit somewhere but on your way there you see this Vignoble Riviere du Chene, and decide as a group to stop and go see, and even taste test if possible. Staff should take the time to fill you in on all options. And thanks for your apology.
Magnificent day at this vineyard! We arrived at midday, without a reservation at the bistro but the girls were super nice and accommodated us very well! Delicious food and very good service. Then tasting at 2 p.m. with Pierre. We recommend this experience with him. Nice, very passionate gentleman. He made us spend a lovely hour with good, affordable wine.
Very nice experience.
I was really disappointed with my visit to the vineyard. For the weekend of my 28th birthday we wanted to have a picnic and frankly I found it rubbish. $70 in the trash. Bad service in the store and above all a paper bag with apple jelly, cheese, toast and sausage in a bag, a paper bag. Well give you that and get on with it. The vineyard is pretty but nothing more. In short, just so disappointed. The wine became warm after a few minutes. Unlivable we threw away more than half of the bottle.
Book your winery tour! They also give you their glass as souvenir at the end of the tour! You can taste 5 different wines
Superb place to discover! Very close to the city but it s the countryside Very good wines, the staff is super nice and knowledgeable
We bought a bottle to taste in their gardens. Unable to get glass glasses of wine after 4 p.m. we were told that it is too late to be entitled to real glasses. forced to drink from plastic cups. Disappointing
Magnificent site and very good meals. Impeccable service.
Superb vineyard! Except that for the picnic, purchased for $73, was very ordinary. The cheese was not fresh and had a dry paste that tended towards yellow. The lady at the counter convinced us to buy this picnic by telling us that it contained a freshly cut baguette! What a surprise when we opened the bag and it contained dried croutons instead. We went back, but it was in no way negotiable and was extremely rough. We had a reservation at the bistro for the 25th table and when we arrived at 3 p.m., they told us that the kitchen was closed even though on their reservation site it is indicated between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.!!!
Beautiful setting. Great service from Julie and the staff. Very noisy and loud dining room; ok for a group but not for a romantic dinner... The food is tasty and nicely presented.
A very good time spent with Pierre during a tasting of 5 products from the vineyard. Pierre is passionate about wine and he knows how to popularize this world very well. Very beautiful site with a tasting room, an outdoor wine bar and a restaurant on the 2nd floor. It is best to make reservations for the restaurant. The only downside is the bachelorettes are a little noisy on the site.
Magnificent vineyard nearby with very interesting commented tasting of honest and affordable wines from Quebec. On the other hand, a huge disappointment in terms of the price of the bottle when we ate at the vineyard bistro, charging double the price than at the store. The food was excellent, but the service from the employees that evening was rather dry and not very friendly.
Magnificent place. The picnic bag is delicious, accompanied by a good wine!
very charming place. from the terrace you would think you were in France or Tuscany. delicious brunch.
Our first visit to the Bistro. And not our last visit. We enjoyed the sidewalk board with pleasure. The Bistro, the food and the service (thanks Julie) is excellent. See you soon.
Went there for my Mom birthday, the fact that I need to put 1 star is a lot. We got there way ahead of time, we had a reservation for 6. The server was very rude, as if she was having a bad day (which we all do! Understandable but you re working ) she took half our orders and then took almost 35 minutes to come back and take the rest of the orders. She was very condescending with the way she answers. It was rude. The fact that you never checked on us once the food finally arrived and we had to ask you for essentials things like sugar, salt, condiments, etc and you bring one pack??? We are 6 people eating. Also when doing a reservation you guys should advise that the Menu changes depending on the hour .. once a costumer is already seated inside the restaurant before the menu hour change AND the waiter takes forever to take the orders you guys should honour the request instead of denied a service. Overall the place is beautiful, but the Costumer Service at the restaurant is not good. Good day
Beautiful place and very kind staff. I went there for dinner, I tasted the duck breast and the lobster ravioli. I found the portions to be perfect to be able to sample some tapas. I had the apple cake for dessert and it was excellent. THANKS!
Magnificent vineyard. We took the guided tour (which includes the tasting of 5 wines) with Pierre. It was very pleasant. Pierre is certainly passionate, he explains well and is very friendly. The wines are very good. We didnt try the bistro, but it will definitely be something to try next time!
Superb relaxed place
We went for brunch on a Sunday. It was very good! Generous portion, quick service :)
The place is superb, we really enjoyed the wine tasting. The person who gave us the tour and the explanations was super super nice. On the other hand, I ate at the bistro and I regret having eaten there. Although I knew that we only had 2 hours to eat, I found it a lack of politeness that the waitress gave me my bill when I had not even sat for an hour, and I had not asked to pay . I wanted to drink coffee and she told me I couldnt. So I told him that it wasnt right since I didnt even have 1 hour in the bistro.
The employees are supposed to be representatives of the company and it is so disheartening to see such a beautiful place being ruined by some rude staff members. Our visit was mesmerizing before our encounter with an ill-mannered employee at the store and judging by other reviews, it is a recurring problem at this establishment. Maybe this business should take their time to train their employees better and teach them how to treat their customers appropriately. Good luck!
Very nice experience!
Great place and excellent food
Terrible service!! Unable to reach them, they call you back 2 days later. Only 1 tasting on Sunday?!?!
Really bad service, no answer when you call and no call returned. Plus when you get there, very poor service. We drove 45 minutes only to leave 20 minutes after we arrived because it was so disappointing.
The Rivière du Chêne vineyard bistro is a place that will not please everyone. As such the food was excellent, the taste and quality was there. On the other hand, lets talk about the portions, really small and ridiculously expensive for the price. It is only once seated that you are informed that the dishes are all tapas to share. It would be appreciated if this was mentioned on the menu or online, unless I didnt notice this detail? You need a minimum of 2 to 3 plates for a single person who has a semblance of an appetite close to normal, no Im not exaggerating, I invite you to try it for yourselves. To clarify: The venison was $29 and it was ridiculously small but delicious Im not taking that away from it. The gourmet platter to share for 2 was $42 and believe me everything was tiny, we could have had one per person. The photos are close up. Any other bistro or restaurant alike, respect the price but here prepare yourself to waste more than normal. The service was poor, the waiter was quite curt and unfriendly, no water throughout the service, we had to warn him once or twice, no, the restaurant was not full. In terms of quality and taste, nothing more needs to be said. In terms of price and service, you can find much better and cheaper anywhere else. The wine was good, but $42 for a pinot noir from a local vineyard, which means its not export wine either. More expensive than the SAQ! In short, its the kind of place you try once and then forget. Thank you anyway for trying, that s the important thing!
We loved our dinner at the bistro! Joël s service, the kindness of the staff, the family and festive atmosphere, the food, everything was perfect! We will definitely go back!!!
I discovered the vineyard about 7 years ago. Im from Outaouais so its always a pleasure to go up to Saint-Eustache to eat at your bistro. We went last night during the Dolce Vita evenings. This is the first time we have been disappointed. We didnt expect to have a bar atmosphere for the evening. We were expecting a rather quiet musician. The music was so loud that we couldnt hear each other talking at the table. It was impossible to have a conversation! It was even unpleasant! Around 9 a.m., the bistro became a dance floor and the music grew louder. We left. For the food, it was good but nothing like all the last times weve been. So, first disappointment for the place. We love wine though, and we will definitely return, as our past experiences at the place were really great! Small recommendation: it would be good to identify the type of music in your event description. It is not a musical duo but a singer. And, indicate that the music gets louder later. That would make people expect it, at least.
Bottle of wine while eating $44 after brunch goes down the same Bottle $15 lets say its a strong sip
A very enjoyable excursion during our mini vacation in Montreal. Mathilde was very knowledgeable and helped us choose a lovely pinot noir/ petite perle blend. She made it more than a tasting, rather, an experience.
Super nice place for a nice, super delicious meal with good wines. Super friendly staff. Always received very good service. Thank you to the whole team for your joy of living and your good service, forget your chef and his team And Daniel Lalande also the owner
For the service, the food which is delicious and the atmosphere. In general, everything is good with you. THANKS ! for the dolce vita evening I loved it!
Great mulled wine event. We were very well received by Mathilde. Professional and excellent products. Well come back!
We really enjoyed our experience and the employees are lovely
Great service and the food was excellent!!
Beautiful place for a visit or a purchase, while having a good meal accompanied by a delicious worm of wine, we were out of season but I will come back soon for the harvest
The bistro - upstairs with a dining room and seating on the terrace - offers excellent dining experience. The best pasta dish Ive had in Montreal (6 months in). The service was friendly and efficient. And the wines were all very good. None off the charts but a lot of blends of grapes Im completely ignorant of, all very good. We went for mothers day, and had the 3 wine flights - 2 rose, the two whites, and two reds - all very good. The Accras were with salmon (that day) and were excellent. The mushroom soup was rather in the style of a miso, light but the mushrooms shone! There was one dessert, it was basically an elevated cupcake with a whipped marscapone frosting, the cake was designed to be soaked, and while it held up, it didnt quite work. Seemed like an experiment, which I very much appreciate, but looking forward to next time. Downstairs there is some seating for the marche - where one can buy pate and bottles of wine. You can also buy a bottle and head to the picnic tables, under trellises, next to the vines. Or if all those are taken, there are more patio seating. Downstairs as long as you buy a bottle, you can BYO picnic.
Super good wine and the charcuterie and cheese platter was delicious! THANKS!
The employee was great and very kind thank you for everyone
Beautiful and such a great atmosphere! Love it
Well, Im really disappointed this evening, the soup wasnt at its best and Im not talking about my seafood pasta dish, if you can call it that, it had small shrimp, smaller than the small Nordic shrimp. piece of lobster I think I cant even say what it was it wasnt tasty I was disappointed so I mentioned it to the manager when paying and he told me I should have had it mentioned at the start because it. Hadnt seen my rather ordinary plate.
Amazing views Loved the white wine Food was very good Excellent evening
Spectacular!! Totally worth it
THANK YOU for your welcome
Very nice atmosphere, great staff.
Unprofessional staff, I came here all the way from nyc and they sold me a degustation and told me to go have lunch at the bistro, but it was closed. How hard is it to give a wine tasting and some bread and cheese to people?! Awful! Never coming back! They re dumb, not making money of people wanting to buy their products!
For a brunch in such a beautiful place I am disappointed, service too slow, the waitress was incompetent and whats more there were more flies than guests!!! Lack of professionalism seeing that it is not open all day on a Sunday but there is a lot missing to say that it is worth the detour!!! Never again for brunch
Magnificent place, delicious wine, warm welcome and service! It s worth stopping there and picking up a bottle or two of Phénix!
Great experience tasting wine and local products.
I loved discovering this vineyard and tasting the rosé and red wines.
Food was okay but service was garbage.
We loved our dinner at Vignoble Rivière du Chêne. Friendly service and exquisite meal. The whole family loved it. We were also seduced by the decor. Indeed, on the terrace, we see the field filled with magnificent vines. Wow!
Your food was excellent The wine tasting service after our brunch was perfect, excellent service But sorry for the brunch service, your team was far from professional. We had accepted our part to eat quickly to give you your table on time, i.e. 12:00, since we were late due to inconveniences. But that didnt give you the right to treat us like dirt You say that we made your waitress cry when we simply asked her why we were being served like this. One of my friends just asked for it Apart from being late if there was anyone other than the team who blamed us because the atmosphere, the service we received was really heavy, uncomfortable, contemptuous. I will make the comment again and I will do it on another page since you delete the comments so that this does not happen to anyone else, everyone should feel accepted in an establishment.
WOW! What a wonderful evening! What a warm welcome! What an exceptional site! We were a group of 24 and we all enjoyed the menu offered and our dinner! The quality and freshness of the food was exceptional and the flavors were expertly harmonized. In addition, the wine from the vineyard brought a distinctive touch allowing us to honor the talents of this region. To add to the culinary experience, we had a visit twice from the chef, who was very human and very concerned about our satisfaction. Also, we must not forget the gift offered, a superb sunset. I recommend this establishment and this team without hesitation! Christina
Wonderful brunch on this magnificent Saturday on the beautiful terrace of your vineyard. Excellent service from our charming hostess Maxime. Everything was perfect!
Its a beautiful place. Every time I go there, I am not disappointed. I recommend it.
Gorgeous
An absolutely magnificent place! The tasting activity: a must do The tasting is led by guides clearly driven by a love of wine and sharing with great warmth and simplicity. A must if, like me, you want to introduce your young adults to wine!
We really liked our experience. We will return without hesitation. Very friendly
Absolutely delicious tasting dinner! Food and wine pairing which allowed us to discover different products offered by the vineyard. Beautiful view, friendly staff. A very nice evening!
Everything was perfect! Superb experience with the 5 services including wine pairing. Beautiful evening! To be done again, for sure.
Experience formidable
My wife and I went to the wine tasting yesterday. It was supposed to start @ 4 but it was almost 4:25 when it did start (the winery closed @ 5.) We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wine but very UNpleasantly about the actual tasting. As the only Anglophone I was told that I would receive an explanation after the French.....fair enough. Although the explanation was sufficient it was in no way the same as the French version (my wife is bilingual). What was most galling was the favouritism shown to some tables. We received a serving (I am guessing 1.5 oz) of each wine. The table next us received 4 while the majority of the other tables received 2-3. With one person explaining the wine properties and doing the pouring he was stretched thin with a group of 24. That being said there is no excuse for number of samples offered to different tables. At the end of the day I felt that we had paid a lot for 2 souvenir wine glasses. Given our experience I I would not purchase their wine nor recommend the tour. Too bad as the site is beautiful and has a lot of potential.
We had a birthday party and everything was simply delicious. We ordered the bistronomic food and wine pairing and EACH pairing was perfectly balanced. The service was professional, courteous and offered offers that were out of the ordinary. When a chef leaves the kitchen to see if the guests like his culinary creations, I believe the evening is a success. It s a perfect score all round for us!
Very beautiful vineyard. All meals for our dinner party of 6 were delicious. Excellent service. Very good wine.
Excellent meal
Great place, very friendly staff and impeccable service!
Unfortunately the staff was very rude.
We were four people and sat outside to enjoy the beautiful view of the vineyard. We opted for the Menu « Accords bistronomiques » which was a 6 course meal with 5 wines in accompaniment. I had received confirmation in advance about their ability to accommodate my shellfish allergy but unfortunately the staff onsite were not aware of this. The waitress did not offer a solution that worked for me (I think she was very busy and came off as rude and argumentative though I am sure this was not her intent). We were ready to leave but I then spoke to the manager who very kindly made an exceptional arrangement to allow me to enjoy a 6 course meal as well with my group. The food was amazing with generous portions and the wines were very nice. I had been there before and the crop of grapes used in the Phoenix is very good. We will certainly go back to purchase some wines in their store. I strongly recommend the 6 course meal if you dont have any food restrictions. I will go back but I will order a few a la carte dishes instead as I felt bad about the inconvenience my restrictions caused.
Really lovely place! We bought a picnic which was excellent!!! Go and visit, you will be won over by the place!
We had a very wonderful culinary experience and tasted several wines in a 5-course dinner that we will not forget and that we will repeat thank you to the Rivière Des Chenes vineyard team
With a tasting at $15/person, we preferred to buy a bottle for $17. Absolutely undrinkable wine that ended up in the kitchen sink. And the two terrines and sausages were no better. Inedible...and yet we are not picky. A real disappointment all round.
I organized a group activity with my colleagues and we were all charmed by the passion of winemaker Daniel Lalande, our visit was very enriching. The staff at the Vignoble are very friendly. Congratulations also to the catering team led by Stéphane Turcotte who knew how to serve us with courtesy and served us an absolutely delicious meal. The wines offered to accompany our meal were perfect. Great discovery, we highly recommend this enchanting site. Well done !
Very nice experience. We did a commented tasting with a young person who was passionate about what he was talking about. It was very nice to discover the history of this vineyard and try to find all the aromas of the wines. The food was excellent too. I highly recommend
Really pleasant and our host: hats off!
The wine they had was not good so i was drinking my own wine. They didnt let us drink it. Keep your 70$ trash bottle that we buy for 15$ at the saq.
Very unfortunate, the site registered with or without an appointment. Then arrived there, there are only 2 of us. No permission to do a tasting without an appointment, but only 1:30 hours later. Offers us to buy a bottle without having tasted it. In addition, I left a telephone message the day before to reserve the bistro for Saturday October 15, 2022. No response from them either by telephone or by email. The staff was not emphatic, we came from Montreal and had chosen this vineyard among others. They couldnt find an accommodation for us. Unfortunately, customer service is not available. In addition, the staff was not busy.
Both the food & drinks were amazing.
Well where to start.. it was our first time there the food nothing to say it was delicious.. :) In terms of service and welcome, it left nothing to be desired.. a fairly cold welcome, a waitress who did not seem to be up to par.. must review her service because, as a waitress, I have never seen an attitude like that. We are in a vineyard and when we asked for information on the wine list the waitress told us to look with the QR code otherwise beautiful view beautiful atmosphere
We had the chance to attend the winegrowers evening which offers a food and wine pairing. WOW! The food, the pairings, everything was perfect.
Meeting of Hispanic women in business AmieLF Foundation and Héritage Hispanique Quebec.
Superb, beautiful place, fast impeccable service and to say about our waitress Annie, super smiling and attentive, really kind. Very very good service and delicious as a bonus. Affordable price. It was our first time and it wont be our last. Until next time
Excellent place, not very expensive, excellent food, nice staff. Too bad we cant enjoy the picnic on the terrace but otherwise very pleasant. I will come back
We went to brunch for a friends party and the food was really good and great service! Im definitely going back and the price is very reasonable!
For a Christmas party, access for people with reduced mobility is non-existent and frankly unacceptable for 2022. The food is good, nothing more. The room is good but the arrangement of the tables was like in a cafeteria (table of 10) in length, round table would have been better. Friendly staff.
Superb bistro not too expensive.
Certainly a place worth mentioning. Beautiful surroundings with an appealing building and restaurant terrace offering a well appointed bistro style meal. I only wished that there was some parasols and that the continuos motor noise coming from below did not annoy so much. The wine is generally good and their Port style liquor pleasing, although a little too acidic for my taste. I will try this place again next year to look forward to how they bring back the wine tastings post pandemic times.
First experience for the harvest, and we will definitely do it again next year! A magnificent day, flawless organization, super nice people. What impressed and surprised me the most was Mr. Lalande s passion for viticulture, and he popularizes it very well to allow guests to immerse themselves in his world. A great discovery and above all I wish good luck to this vineyard. PS: cant wait to taste the Burgundy melon!
Very nice experience doing the harvest. Good food and good wines.
Very beautiful vineyard. The shop offers a lot of local products that are really worth discovering because its so good. We ate very well at the restaurant and the staff was very friendly
Impeccable service from Marie Claude and Katie. They even came to see us to make sure the wine suited us. A1 for staff
Worst service of my ENTIRE life. 1st time, I arrive at closing time, all the staff are still there, I am told that it is too late. Okay, its my fault and I accept it. 2nd time, I call to make an appointment for a tasting and I am told that I just have to stop by during the openings and that everything is ok. I arrive at 12:20 p.m. I am told that the tastings start at 1 p.m. Ill do 2-3 errands while waiting and come back at 1:08 p.m. I am told that it is too late and to come back to the 2 p.m. tasting...But, I can buy bottles anyway. All this, after 2 hours of driving.
Very good wine and dinner!
The winery was not opened for tastings etc but we were allowed to walk amongst the vineyards. At the boutique we are still given a few tasting prior to purchasing any of the wines. Btw the wines were of good quality . Would recommend.
Lovely place with an interesting and good menu. Some of the best Québec wines are made here.
No visit ok but too bad we cant taste
Yesterdays dinner, unlimited mussels, excellent. Everything was perfect. Nice welcome, nice atmosphere, good background music. Excellent service, mussels in quantity and excellent. Very good wine in addition to an exquisite dessert. Well done !
Very beautiful place to visit. Superb dining room. Succulent meal at respectable prices and excellent service. High quality Quebec wines. Its worth the detour.
