The room was perfect, the meal was succulent and the service was fast.

The celery was soft. The snails were buried under a ton of cheese. The frog legs were extremely overcooked. The scampi was lukewarm. Dessert was ordinary. They dont have a cappuccino machine! In short, a first and last time

The Restaurant lAncêtre masterfully managed our wedding reception. Their welcome was remarkable and their service lived up to our expectations. What a beautiful, rural and elegant place! We are very satisfied with the quality of the meal, the service and the way they helped make our evening memorable. The meal was small and bland. $50 for a soup served in a tiny cup, a very basic salad, a plate of dry chicken with 2 slices of carrots and 1 broccoli + 6 slices of potato followed by a tiny piece of cake. 2 coronas $23. My friend took a bottle of galo for $40 which sells for $11 at the saq and we charge her an additional $6 service fee! This is frankly exaggerated! It was a first and last time for us.

I did not eat at the restaurant, but rather in one of the reception rooms during a dinner dance (not organized by the restaurant). The service was impeccable and the food excellent. The only downside was that it was very hot in the room despite the air conditioning.

Warm welcome, 4 absolutely exquisite services and treated with great care as soon as I entered the establishment, run by Mr. Richard and his dedicated team. The building is rich in stories, memories and experiences lived over time. The decor of the restaurant and the rooms reflects and immerses us in a distant atmosphere, a real candlelit dinner, soft music floating, very romantic...Bravo! Thank you for this authentic and at the same time completely surreal experience. I recommend without hesitation! And Im going back very soon!

Staff shortage? The bartender also served the meal, so not often available at the bar throughout the evening. Parking: Not enough to accommodate all the people on site in the multiple rooms. It is certain that there are cabochons who take up 2 places with their car, but there is still a lack of places.

Its been a long, long time since I had such a good evening at a restaurant. We were 2 couples of friends. They are the ones who push us to come and eat on this Saturday October 2, 21. For $109 including tax, we all ate really well. The tournedos was cooked to perfection. I like it blue. Raw inside but warm. The snails were delicious. I cant recommend this or that dish, as we were all happy with our respective choices. The red wine was excellent. The waitress was very knowledgeable about each dish. We will come back, thats for sure. THANKS

Almost 4 hours of waiting for a 4 course. Dry chicken. Boiled and soft vegetables. It felt like a cafeteria meal.

Soup and salad starters, smaller than a childs portion. Main meal: chicken so cooked that we had to chew it for a long time, vegetables that tasted like water and potatoes from the gratin dauphinois that were not cooked enough. And what about dessert, canned fruit salad. All this for $50, wine not included. Culinary experience far below expectations. I do not recommend this place for a reception of more than 50 people.

This restaurant does not deserve to be recognized as a 5 star.

We arrived at 6 p.m. at the reception room. First thing you need to know Lancêtre as a restaurant name is aptly named. Besides the decor and style, its very much like the old days. No high chairs for babies, extremely long service, first entry served after 7 p.m. Soup that tastes like the bottom of a burnt cauldron, medium salad, pasta with catelli sauce, to which we added ground lunch sausage and spices to make it Italian. Left the room at 9 p.m. completely disgusted. I strongly advise against
