I went there with a group of 10, the service was very very slow...we were a little lost with the menu because there was no description. There were starters larger than the main course and some dishes were poor in accompaniment (white basmati rice) For me the food was ok But once again the service was more than ordinary

Pretty ordinary food, extremely slow and unsmiling service. It was super cold in the restaurant, luckily it was located next to the electric fireplace. I had a butter chicken, the sauce was watery, the rice tasted sweet (weird). And my dessert iisshhh... cold and rock hard chocolate fondant. I just ate it because I was hungry.

What a bad experience.... in every sense of the word! We went Saturday evening 11/16 for an evening with friends with a reservation made in advance. Reservation at 6 p.m. and we left the restaurant at 9:15 p.m....... We wanted to taste and live the MOROCCAN experience..... mistake.... We asked the waitress questions about the menu she knew NOTHING she always had to go and validate behind the counter.... we ordered 4 Couscous, 1 Marrakchi beef Tanjia and 1 Madras. The waitress came back to tell us that there were only 2 couscous left.....WHAT!!!! I am in a Moroccan and Bengali restaurant... how can I explain that there are only 2 dishes of couscous left....... We choose 2 other dishes.....the 2 couscous arrive........WTF. Meat semolina, 1 small carrot and 1 zucchini.... but what is this dish! $28 for a dish of Semolina..... We had brought our bottles of wine..... we had to ask for wine glasses.... no one ever came to open our bottles... luckily we had our pocket lemonade. The service was poor.....the waitress looked like she was 12 years old and didnt know at all the dishes she just placed on the table and was unable to tell us which one was the Madras and the tanjia..... Us neither because the tanjia was so not like a real tanjia... that we didnt even know what the dish was....... yet the person who ordered the tanjia is 100% Moroccan.... The mint tea tasted NOT like mint at all..... I find it hard to understand the overrating of this restaurant! We will never return to this place again what a disappointment.... $120 and 3 hours later our experience was cut short!!!!

Truly delicious! Finally an Indian restaurant in St-Hyacinthe, Im so happy. The butter chicken is creamy and sweet, just perfect. The rice is carefully flavored. The dwarf bread has a strange texture between a pita and a pancake, could be more fluffy with bubbles like in other restaurants but it still tastes very good. The only downside is that the portions are not very generous for the price. Im not a big eater and I was still hungry, just 2 mini baji onions that come with the lunch menu, I would have taken 4 or if not 2 large ones, I would have taken 1/4 more chicken with sauce . On the other hand, the portion of rice is very generous.

You have to go there for the flavors! The quality of the ingredients; especially the lamb, the generous portions, there is even attention paid to the presentation of the dishes. Plus the prices are very fair and bring your own wine! Absolutely worth trying!

Really disappointed. We called to prepare an order, the lady who answered was disrespectful. We took 3 different choices and all 3 dishes came with the same not very good sauce. We wont be going back anymore.

I asked for Korma shrimp and received other shrimp not to my taste; I asked the question and the waitresss response was that there was no mistake since I had answered the choice of fries as a side dish. Newly I expressed discomfort, I was not happy; but the waitress response was a single OK, have a good evening. So the waitress gave no importance to my dissatisfaction as a customer, not nice and nothing conscious. The service is really not correct. THANKS!

Louis service was excellent! The restaurant was empty, so the atmosphere... The food could be a little more generous but it was a lunch special and it was very good. I went back to buy something at the little grocery store; unfortunately a cold and indifferent welcome to the point of making you uncomfortable.

I dont often write reviews, but this is necessary. I love Indian food and I was super happy to finally have an Indian restaurant in St-Hya. I went there 4 times and you definitely lost me as a customer. The first time, the service was lousy (the manager shouted at everyone but the butter chicken was okay. So I went back a second time, the chicken bunha tasted very ordinary and the lassi was way too sweet. But the The service was good. The 3rd time, the lamb curry was delicious, both the sauce and the tenderness of the cubes, it melted in the mouth. The 4th and last time, we arrived at 8:30 p.m., the restaurant was empty. We asked if they were still open and they confirmed that yes until 10 p.m. The waitress was talking with a friend and I had to get up to ask for something to serve us, she did. excused: she had forgotten us when we arrived at our table, she went outside to see something... There, we just wanted to leave, very very ordinary service. I finally ordered a lamb curry and sauce. Wasnt the same as last time (too spicy) and the lamb was like boot soles. The waitress changed my plate and they only added water to the sauce... So it didnt taste much anymore and the lamb was still just as tough (not to mention that I didnt eat it at the same time). while my friend and my rice and bread were cold). Also the badji onions and the pankora were undercooked and everything was difficult to digest. So no, I wont go back. Mediocre food and service really leaves something to be desired.

Context: there are only around ten people in the restaurant. Order a medallion steak surrounded by bacon after confirming that it is indeed a filet mignon with the server. 6:50 p.m. still in sight. The waiter apologizes and does his best. I ask to change my order. He comes back from the kitchen and says sorry the steak is on the grill. He returns about ten minutes later with a steak no more than 1/8 inch thick. Which would take to cook no more than 3 minutes otherwise it would be burnt. The waiter says he doesnt really understand. No bacon and it s clearly not a filet mignon. I refuse the plate! The person with me had their meal. I finish my nann bread. Ask for the invoice. To add insult to injury, I was charged $4.75 for my nann bread even though I didn t eat a main course. It seems the manager wanted me to wait for her so she could talk to me. Well no! We were running out of time. Consistency in restaurant cooking is a big problem. This is the 3rd time its long but there. Is it an insult to be served what is not requested and then do nothing?

First experience at Ô Charbon and I will definitely go back! The dishes were really good! Very tasty, I loved their homemade naan bread. Prices are not high. Very bad experience! Waited for our main course for 1h30, we were never asked why we werent served when most of the customers present when we arrived were leaving. All this to have overcooked meat which had obviously been reheated several times before being served, a sauce which was dry and tasteless, the cold rice!! And Im not even talking about my partners dish.. The reason for our wait was, according to them, due to a grill breakdown . It would have been professional to tell us, we would not have been able to change our order. In short, apart from a smile and a very commercial welcome... nothing more for my part!

The butter chicken tastes very good, but the nan breads are of poor quality, it doesnt do justice to Indian cuisine. Don t take the Moroccan plate. My partner received an old, dry, rock-hard chicken, with no sauce accompanying the dish. He hated his dish and it was the most expensive on the table. The food is overall okay for the price they sell it for, but I wouldnt pay more for what they offer. The place is clean but seriously... when youre sick you stay at home!

On the other hand, as for the dishes its another story, the butter chicken tastes like the mixture you find in the Maxi shelves and the Naan bread comes straight from the supermarket bakery. The rice is excellent as well as the onion bhaji. No Tandoori oven. The dishes are so hot upon receipt that it looks like they were prepared in advance, vacuum-packed and thrown in the microwave. Which would explain the speed between the 5 minute service to receive the dishes at our table. Parking: Adjacent street

It was my first time in this restaurant and unfortunately for them the last. I started talking to the bozzgirl that it was my first time and what she was advising me. She very kindly replied these favorite dishes. Subsequently our waitress arrived saying that if we had any questions we should ask her and not the bozzgirl.... In short, quite ordinary but I asked her the question anyway. She tells me that she has Crohns disease and that she doesnt eat anything from here. First, and probably most important, the food is excellent. We tasted the onion Bhaji, the Tikka Masala and the lamb curry. Really, nothing to envy of the Mile Ex restaurants. Also, a special effort has been made to accommodate nut allergies. Communication was good on this and we ate with confidence. On the other hand, we went there at lunchtime and clearly, it didnt work. We saw people leaving without eating because the service was too long. We never received our Naan breads, which is quite disappointing for an Indian restaurant. Also, no arrangement about this at the time of billing. Allow about 2 hours to eat there, so not ideal for before shows or for lunch time. I will definitely eat it again, but order to go and call well in advance, because it was really delicious, fresh, tasty, perfect. Its just the dining experience that really leaves something to be desired. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated nut allergies.

Food of very good quality and in good quantity. It still took a very long time when we were seated before the waitress brought us the menu. To be honest, Im a fan of butter chicken. I have never been served so well! Exemplary service and what can I say about the food . A delight! The flavor games are there! We arrived on a Thursday evening at 4:45 p.m. There was only one other couple in the restaurant. After 10 minutes of waiting, we ordered a vegetable soup which had no flavor. I had to add salt and pepper. Also, the soup arrived 25 minutes after ordering it. Then we waited almost an hour to get our main dishes. My wife ordered the lamb curry which was very good. For my part, a Tandoori chicken. The chicken thigh was stripped of flesh. There wasnt much to eat. Plus, it wasnt tasty at all. The rating of 2/5 is clearly due to a lack of coordination and optimization in the execution of the dishes. Damage. The restaurant could have potential if the service and deadlines were there. As for food, we suggest tastier options for customers to choose from.

I placed a phone order for butter chicken.... Im picking it up! Very small portion for $18 about 7 pieces of chicken...they forgot the rice.....but at least the naan was there. After a call to the restaurant they tell me that I will have free rice next time or I have to go back and get it now.. in short more or less cool as a first experience but very good customer service from Shelby who gave me offered free rice next time!

Very nice experience this evening. The sharing plate and my butter chicken was excellent. You can now bring your own wine and beer. The price is very reasonable too. We were very well served. A flawless one. We will definitely come back.

We stopped by to eat around 7pm on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Our server was very accommodating and pleasant. We didnt wait very long to be served (around 30 minutes) We had a chicken and a beef Biryani. Excellent! The portions were perfect. I also added naan bread to my order. Very good! The prices are really reasonable for the quality of the food. We will return without hesitation! Beautiful atmosphere! There was even Christmas music, that says it all! Experience

Delicious delivery experience. Everything was hot and tasty. Finally good Indian dishes in St-Hyacinthe! I will repeat the experience for sure!

I havent been there yet, I had it delivered. Excellent lamb curry! On the other hand, I found the butter chicken a little too sweet! Excellent mango lhassi! Finally Indian dishes in St-Hyacinthe!
