I have been a long-time customer, and I go to this restaurant very often. In general, everything is perfect. Except for the service which, sometimes (I mean sometimes) is very slow. Often, you have to ask everything, 2 or 3 times! Generally, Im pretty patient, unless its overkill. Despite everything, Im going to continue to go to Ben & Florentine for lunch, because its good!

I really like the eggs benedict at this place. The portions are very generous! There is less fruit on the plates and they are less good than elsewhere, however. Very good service. A little noisy but less worse than other restaurants.

We used to go there frequently before the renovations. We went there last week and Wow what beautiful changes. My partner chose the 10/10 lunch and frankly he was very disappointed with his plate. He asks to remove the ham and put in more sausages. He got 1 more sausage than the only one he had on the plate. The nice waitress explained to us that the change is 1 meat for 1 other meat (1 slice of ham for 1 sausage). The waitress was very friendly and offered to bring more potatoes. For an $18 plate he expected to have a good lunch. For my part, I chose the eggs benedict and I was more than satisfied!! A nice, full plate. In my case it was a 10 out of 10 hahaha. When it came to paying the bill, the tip tip started at 20%. So, we are mixed on whether we will return. This morning for lunch is Sunday. Warm welcome, smiling waitress Ms. Arianne, everything was delicious, my partner had a casserole of pulled ham and I had a healthy lunch of 2 poached eggs, brie and fruit, household wool. Very nice presentation and lots of fruit. We will go back

Not great Dsl first time but disappointment. Casseroles normally in the oven but on a plate. Almost no meat, potatoes yes cooked msis pad roast seemed reheated.

Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a bench seat at the back, near the kitchen, it was quiet despite the hustle and bustle of a Sunday lunch restaurant, it was perfect! I enjoyed my breakfast poutine but the portion was really huge which forced me to waste A moderate portion offer would be an asset! Beautiful and good experience overall.

I ordered a breakfast poutine by delivery and seriously, there were only 4 pieces of cheese In addition I paid for an extra sauce which I did not receive. On the other hand, the potatoes were good and well cooked.

We went to lunch around 2 a.m. at Ben & Florentine s. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. We only had a coffee and no one came to offer us a stove or to see if everything was okay and that it was to our taste... First restaurant for lunch that this has happened to us. My plate came with vanilla yogurt in my pancakes and ultimately I didnt get any. I found two hairs in my pancake, only to notice that only one person in the kitchen was wearing a hair net. The young girl who takes care of the toasts has fun putting butter on the arm of her colleague, who is also the knife to spread the butter on the customers toasts... One person wears a mask on the floor and takes it off in the kitchens. I noticed one girl blowing her nose over the counters in the kitchen, but at least she washed her hands thoroughly afterwards.

How I love this lunch restaurant. Lunch is not my favorite meal but this restaurant is very good. I took the healthy plate with poached eggs and lots of fruit. My boyfriend had the eggs benedict with the gluten-free bread (the bread is delicious). Really good according to him.

lunch meals very good! service is another matter! there were only 2 of us, the waitress Sarah seems to me, took the order while my friend had not yet chosen, cleared her plate too quickly and even picked up her napkin even though she had not finished her coffee, water seemed to be counting, the bill also arrived very quickly and had to be paid quickly to be able to get rid of it! it was 11:30 a.m.

The food was pretty good, reasonably priced and everything was very tasty. My problem comes with 2 things that surely not only happen in this branch, in fact, I would dare to say that they may happen in the entire country. 1- the reception was in French, and although we spoke to them in English the girl turned around and left. I live in Spain, a country that is apparently worse in many ways than Canada and almost anywhere in the country, from a public office to a Burger King, they will serve you in English EVEN IF SPANISH is the official language. 2- They didnt make me feel bad and guilty for leaving a $3 tip. I know perfectly well that according to what is stipulated in your country, a tip is usually left between 10-25%, but that is something that you have accepted, if you dont like it, complain or go on strike, but I earn $6 an hour and I dont I can afford to tip $20 every time I eat.

Very disappointing! My lunch sandwich was far from complete as indicated on the menu. When I brought it up, I was told I was lying by cooking it. Paying $16 for an egg sandwich is the last time.

Unfortunately, I have to share my experience... at dinner time, being served after 50 minutes and having to ask to put our meals in takeout because we no longer had time to eat. Very disappointing! only got a measly 15% off our bill to make up for the loss of fun . Luckily their food is delicious, hence the 2nd star! Suggest warning them that you are in a hurry in the future if that is your case! Thank you and enjoy your meal.

Decent service but the waitress we had in the morning lacked a lot of professionalism, a sign of impatience when we talked to her about our allergies and she even decided on the tip to leave her when I wouldnt have even left her any. In short, next time there wont be any because of her. I dont have her name but shes in her 60s and she hasnt been here long.

I went there on Sunday July 3. I order a dish that I am used to eating and then it arrives and something is missing from the dish There I say that I dont like it and that its not like usual and the waitress is very stupid and they suggest something extra. I asked to redo the plate and in the end I never got a plate and a bill....

I went to eat today with my daughter. We arrived early in the afternoon and there werent many people. Despite everything, the service was slow and once served, no one came back to offer us water or a coffee pot. My daughters sausages were charred, the eggs were overcooked and almost cold when the plates arrived and the bacon... Pretty ordinary. After we started eating, an employee was walking around the next section with a vacuum cleaner that was making a terrible noise. She did this for over half an hour. Not to mention that we could hear the other employees talking very loudly behind the counter. A customer came in around 2 p.m. and the young girl almost refused to give her a seat. I couldnt believe it! What a lack of professionalism! A restaurant which is supposed to close at 3 p.m. which refuses customers from 2 p.m. to do cleaning... It was a very unpleasant experience! I dont recommend this place after noon because the service leaves something to be desired.

Ive been going there for some time early in the morning, great service, fast and the food is good, the little potatoes are not like other places.

De passage sur l autoroute 20, voici un arrêt à quelques mètres. Ben et Florentine de Saint-Hyacinthe offrent des petits-déjeuners. Alors, ne vous arrêtez pas trop tard autour de 14h au risque de voir la porte fermée. J ai pris un club déjeuner et à ma grande surprise, c était léger. Le repas était excellent. Ce restaurant est disponible à Montréal et jlai toujours aimé.

Hello, we went today September 3, 2022 around 11:50 a.m., we ate very well, hats off to the cook, generous plates and well presented, we really enjoyed ourselves. On the other hand, we were very disappointed with the customer service experience, we heard 45 minutes to get our first and only coffee and I had to ask after 25 minutes if the coffee was going to arrive, the waitress mentioned that it s coming. After 35 minutes it was my partners turn to go directly to the coffee machine to ask for it again in front of these colleagues, has our coffee arrived maam? She didnt remember who he was. It was another waitress (efficient) who came to give our dishes and thus to the other neighboring tables who also had as many questions as us about the service. The original waitress who takes over the lead of these tables asks us if we want a coffee stove? we say yes of course! 20-25 minutes later, still no coffee served, she didnt even think to refill our glass of water that we had drunk the first 10 minutes of our arrival. We could clearly see that the waitress had probably been in the profession for a short time, that it was perhaps even her first number and I was the first to understand that having trained and supervised young waiters who were on their first experience, it was is stressful, you can be lost at times, but no one helped, where was the manager? There were three of us at the table, when we said to ourselves that we would never have our coffee stove after 20-25 minutes of having offered it to us, we got up and asked for the bill quickly. We said to ourselves that we wouldnt wait another 30 minutes for the bill, the three of us standing, we could see that she was having trouble with the cash register and no support from others with experience. I calculated the number of employees in comparison to the number of customers on site, the team was over capacity to provide rapid service, the customers sitting at the two other tables next to us were equally discouraged. To end on a positive note, since your opening, I have come on average three times a year, this is the first time an experience like this has happened to your establishment!

We were served by Mireille...but what terrible service!! No smile, not even a hello. she didnt follow up with us throughout the entire service, when we had a request she kept walking, I hadnt even finished my speech and she had already left. Our lattes were cold and only tasted like hot milk. Its a bad day for a day. I do not recommend this Ben and Florentine.

Very appetizing we found worms in our freshly squeezed orange juice. Me and my friend each took a drink to bring and after swallowing a few sips I noticed the presence of the insect. I had one part of the insect and my friend the other. So he definitely didnt fall in after I left the restaurant he was clearly squeezed into our drink. I call to complain and no return call. Basically we paid $60 and ended up eating nothing because we were too disgusted.

BEN AND FLORENTINE MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT FOR BREAKFASTER

Ive been there several times and each time the service is not incredible. Poached eggs are more like boiled eggs. Ordinary and disappointing...

I love B&F, and yet I was not won over by this post-COVID experience So yes, I understand, the standards and rules that we must respect but, in my opinion, we should be better organized: 1) I call, I am told that there is no reservation and that we can come whenever we want... when we arrive at the entrance, we stay outside without anyone coming to see us since other people are in the entrance. After 5 minutes of waiting, a lady comes out to clean the doors, thats when we ask her if we can come in and she replies that we have to give our phone number in order to be on a list of waiting. (A sign on the door would be interesting, right?) 2) Customers outside having no idea of this principle of queuing, many pass in front of each other and we were not the only ones to complain about the order which had not been placed respected 3) excessively poor and cold service, a menu for two (too long to wash the menu? Missed the menu? knowing that we disinfected our hands before?) In short, back to reality after this beautiful pandemic which gives the impression that customer service standards have been forgotten.

Very poor service. More than 30 minutes of waiting and restaurant not so busy. The people around us were served before us even though they arrived after us. We were served only 1 glass of water and cold plates which were also served to other customers instead of us. No apology for mistakes and the waitress pretended that the plates were coming from the kitchen.
