I think I have finally found my #1 poutine in Quebec. La Fringale de St-Hyacinthe really received us like kings yesterday and we were served such delicious poutine that I had to share with you. A good, really tasty brown sauce, slightly sweet red potato fries and to top it all off, Squick Squick cheese from Chaudière cheese shop After having swallowed it I asked myself the question for a long time; Among the dozens of poutines Ive eaten all over the province, is there ONE that comes to mind that was better than that? I remained without an answer and so, I think I finally found my perfect poutine: better sauce, better fries and better cheese. There s nothing I would change in this poutine/there 9.5/10 I dont give them a perfect score because they say that perfection doesnt exist but also, in case one day I find better but years of experience tell me that its not about to happen; )

A good all-rounder. However, I remain a little disappointed with my experience. The service was questionable, I felt like I was bothering the cashier. Then, the plate of hot dogs and my fries almost cost me $20, and the hot dogs were nothing exceptional. I note, however, that the poutine is very good and that the Californian atmosphere gives the restaurant its unique aspect.

First time at La Fringale, used to Dave and Dan and Cantine Bernard, I arrived with a lot of expectations and here is my new favorite! Sure poutine covered in cheese, hot sauce and disgusting burger, the experience is incredible! little + 60s atmosphere to accompany the meal, a pleasure to return 10/10

The poutine plates are cone (well filled). Its a little expensive but its good. The only thing is that there is so much cheese that you lose the fries. From there it s to each their own!

Very good hot dog and fries, but I didnt like the poutine sauce. I find it spicy. On the other hand, there is a lot of cheese in poutine! As for the liquor, a 7up in fact, it has a bit of a strange taste. The spaghetti pasta didnt taste fresh made... to each their own!

Update: I had to lower my review. I went back and it was worse than the first time. The fries still too hot with fresh cheese, but cold. There was nothing warm about taking the order, or even a little dry. So, we dont go there for the experience or the good food, but only because we need to plug a hole Previous review: had a small poutine for the afternoon Fringale. I ate it well, but I couldnt taste it. It was too hot, really... I have the impression that it went from the fryer to my plate without giving it time to breathe. But hey, it was well topped with cheese, a good amount of sauce, the fries well cooked... But everything was too hot. Even after 10 minutes...

Very good price even cheaper than most canteens. The fries were a little undercooked, softer than crispy. The perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The only negative point is the staff, the cashier who judges what you put in your cheese burger and especially the dark-haired woman in the kitchen looking like a total beast, no desire to work. The whole time I waited for my order (5 minutes) she whined 4 times at the customers orders and it was very audible, plus its these same customers who pay her salary... Its embarrassing I can understand the lack of staff but there are limits Clearly this old complainer has no place in public, its enough to not return there unfortunately because the price and the food is good.

Unfortunately I was not won over with my experience at the La Fringale canteen in St-Hyacinthe. Price way too expensive. Hamburger tastes floury. The bacon is super soft, not cooked or crispy. The cold and hard hot dog bun?!? Its supposed to be steamed right? This is what I ordered. Large poutine that looks more like an average poutine and in fact I was given the bag to take poutine upside down. Luckily it wasnt a pizza. In short, quality/price I am very disappointed.

The rolls are well filled and tasty, the cheese burgers taste heavenly and the poutine, although a little expensive, is overflowing with cheese.

I stopped by St Hyacinthe after the exhibition and wow! Ill make the detour again anytime for their poutine! Delicious! One of the best cheese curds I have tasted

We stay in Montreal when we go to St Hyacinthe we always stop my husband is a big fan of poutine with real squick squik cheese!! Atmosphere Retro deco and music very clean good food and good service I recommend this for your detour extra cheese well cooked fries sauce on the side of course

We were a family with several people last night! We ordered $62.00 alone, in part everything seemed good...the fries were a little undercooked and I ordered a ppulet roll and I received without chicken (one forgets it happens)...I I went to see the cashier, I explained to him and I told him just add more on top without any problem, with kindness he went back and did it by himself because the lady who found it didnt seem to all rest phew...but she knows that she works in the public and that visibly the counter does not hide her frustration at work....phew honestly nothing to attract people!!

Big Mexican Poutine at La Fringale in Saint-Hyacinthe, for fans of spice and if you want a change its really a must. $18.10 Sauce 10/10 its a mix of their brown sauce and their Cajun sauce, yum Cheese 9/10 very fresh and good quantity Fries 9/10 nothing to say, they are very good Plus theres 5oz of sausage meat underneath! Delicious
