Beautiful cozy place with impeccable decor and lighting. The service was good, but no one came back to see us after receiving our food. The presentation of the dishes was charming. At least the food didnt live up to my expectations for the price. The portions of the pyramid club were much too small (dont choose this dish if you are hungry) and the dishes lacked taste. I recommend the place for a coffee, otherwise I wont go back there for brunch.

The food was excellent and well prepared. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. I would have given 5 if it werent for the fact that we were sitting near the kitchen which only had curtains... The sounds of the dishwasher were not pleasant. ...deserves a real door.

First time I felt so good in a restaurant. Beautiful decor, lots of plants and a large bookshelf filled with books. The decor is really warm. And the waitress was a gem. Besides, I loved this red hair. The food was really good and not heavy on the stomach. It wasnt a traditional lunch, I loved the difference! We will come back for sure

A great discovery! Beautiful cozy atmosphere, the library is really a great idea, we who are big readers . The decor is beautiful in modern, casual. The music is a little too loud, I asked to turn it down LOL. Food-wise, I loved my smoked salmon bagel: generous portion of herb butter and salmon, artisanal bagel, even the salad on the side was delicious, I loved their vinaigrette. For a drink I ordered a London Fog. A delight! It has a very slight taste of lavender, creamy texture, in short, very comforting. The service was more than satisfactory, our waitress was super friendly and smiling and the wait wasnt too long (I was a little scared because of some comments, but people are never happy with the slightest inconvenience ). We will definitely be going back!

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant! I give a 4 star rating ! On the other hand, for certain items in lunches its a little less! Lets start with the very good drink Matcha Tropical (matcha, coconut milk and pineapple juice) if it is alcoholic they add vodka and laperol! Alcoholic or not, it s a refreshing drink! The different loose leaf teas are very good! The lattes are ok! Their desserts (like their healthier chocolate brownies-cakes) during the week are very good during the weekdays! The sweet waffles are delicious with its chocolate ganache, pink pastry cream and fresh fruit plus extra real whipped cream! The strawberry and avocado toasts with almonds, goat cheese and a poached egg are delicious! The side salad is also just the sesame vinaigrette that I like a little less! I also wish they offered a balsamic vinaigrette too! As for the grill cheese, it s so-so as well as the tornado eggs! And as for the breakfast potatoes, the problem is! It s because they are overcooked! Some people like scrambled eggs, bacon and traditional toast! Small detail which may seem insignificant but the water to drink is room temperature, it is not very drinkable! As for the service, it was better this time! The atmosphere is a little less my style! On the other hand, its not cacophonous for an urban style café! The music is quite soft, which is good and which is rare for this type of café!

Very good latte and just for that I didnt give it 1 star, cold food and my girlfriends waffles were cold and dry. And the wait was very long for the food. Good Sisters had a long wait next door and from experience is 100 x better. Next time we will wait.

Its a really nice place for breakfast. The Egg Tornado is a great and unique twist on a traditional breakfast. The service is also significantly faster than it used to be.

Great place to bring friends for lunch

Korean review. Not the best for everything. However, it has the most brunch cafe-like menu, so if it were close to my house, I would go there every day. Its nice to go and open your laptop and work, its nice to have brunch while working, and the menu quality is pretty good. I tried various berry, vanilla gelato, and crople menu items, and the combination was quite excellent. The visuals are also pretty good, making it great for taking Instagram photos. Whats disappointing is the coffee. The coffee taste is the worst among the three brunch cafes I evaluated earlier. However, the high ceilings, comfortable environment, and sunlight coming through the stores large glass windows make me want to visit every day and enjoy a leisurely brunch while working.

Reservation at 11:30 for 3 . To finally wait, an employee looked at us all in the distance and did not come to see us, to finally have a table for 2 . Until then it can happen, but... VERY VERY long service! I had to signal to an employee 20-25 minutes after our arrival to order! We had a baby with us, I had to get up to get a high chair which was not at the height of the table, my daughter had to eat at arms length. 1 out of 3 employees seemed to do everything, poor girl she did her best! VERY long to receive our plates, COLD! there were fewer and fewer people and despite that no one came to see us throughout the meal (no water)! I received a hard boiled egg instead of a soft one and the response was ah someone probably asked for a hard boiled one and you got it as if I was disturbing her! 0 welcoming the only positive point, the decor is beautiful! I will not come back and I do not recommend this place unless you have patience!

December 2023: Having returned there 3 times in 9 months, its good but the service is super disjointed. It s not normal to run out of soup of the day at 11:30 a.m. on a Thursday lunchtime. The dishes arrived with a 40 minute difference so someone ate alone. Always several errors in orders. The main counter always ends up with a mountain of dirty dishes every time. I dont know if they are negligent or poorly organized or if they are not just lacking a lot of staff but in short it is disappointing in the end. Sad because it was promising. _______________________ March 2023: Small café/brunch in old St-Jean The decor was super beautiful. We really liked our dishes. I chose the hummus bacon toast with poached egg. One weekday lunchtime the room was almost full. There were only two waitresses who were struggling to keep up with the demand. We forgive them because they apologized several times. I will go back without fail

2nd time at this cafe with friends. The food is excellent, the atmosphere was calm because it was not very busy, excellent service. Small comment, the couches, although very comfortable, are too low, especially for eating. Furthermore, they were dirty and stained. This time, I opted for homemade humus and it was really excellent!

For a loving couple, I do not recommend the place. A restaurant for young people who like to chat and have no service. With a menu of approximately 15 Boboche dishes. The place is pretty but no staff comes to see you, chat and talk on cell phones. Woohoo it s fun!

Very beautiful decor, the dishes are pretty. Decent lunch, nothing more. What can we say about the smoothie... a bowl of colorful slush with a light fruity taste. But when I say light, I would say more subtle. It tastes more like ice cream. Lunches are a little bland and lack expertise in the dishes. There were only me and my partner in the restaurant and despite the 3 waitresses present, the service was extremely poor. Probably too busy making coffee, chatting and looking at their cell phones. It was our first and last visit. Dont get caught with their 4.4 star review...

I highly recommend it. I went twice for lunch with the family and each time, young and old, we were delighted. I will go back there for sure. The food was delicious and hot. The drinks were very good and for the children the hot chocolate with whipped cream brought smiles. The staff is really kind and attentive. And the atmosphere and decor is really superb from the large wall to the library. Just a word about this WOW restaurant.

The atmosphere is not at all my type but I couldnt have known. For my part, I didnt finish my meal, I didnt like it. The pits were dry, the coulis were bland and the fruit was not fresh. Either too hard or too soft.

Really disappointing experience, despite the beautiful decor and atmosphere, the service was very very long, you should expect to wait a good hour before receiving the food. There were errors in our orders and the waitress never came back to ask if everything was correct.

My first experience was very positive, I was offered an interesting vegan substitution at no additional cost (it seemed to be a mistake) and the meal was excellent (hummus meal). I was really thinking of making it my regular restaurant, but then we had 2 experiences that put us off because we had the impression of being charged hidden fees. The waitresses dont warn you when there are extras and the price of vegetable milk is excessive: $1 extra to add 2 drops of milk to a black coffee is just absurd. In short, I would go back often if there was a vegan choice. Its a shame because all the ingredients are there.

Really a shame that such a beautiful restaurant is accompanied by such poor service and bland drinks. Whether it s latte, matcha or even Americano, everything is dripping water. For the service, we take takeaway and we are served with the attitude of a 14-year-old who eats in our face with their salad on the counter. One bite, one customer, one coffee, really not very hygienic. Too bad because the food was good, but portions not generous enough.

The service seemed disorganized and haughty. The place was much too dark for a lunch restaurant. The Hollandaise sauce was grainy and too thick.

Very excellent combinations of foods, and well executed. Great wait staff. St. Jean has a very competitive breakfast and Armelle Cafe is one of the best. Vegetarian options: Vegan options are clearly indicated on the menu. Dietary restrictions are well accommodated.

This was our first time at this place, and we really enjoyed our breakfast and our time there, our dishes were tasteful and plenty. The menu is original, they don t have the traditional bacon and eggs, or at least, I haven t seen it. So I ordered a breakfast poutine. It was delicious, no French fries in case you asked, and they used the same type of sauce as the one you have on benedict eggs, original and good.

Superb place, and very good service. We arrived there without a reservation for Sunday brunch, and were lucky to be placed between 2 reservations. We enjoyed the dishes (breakfast poutine, cloud pancakes, tornado eggs and salmon eggs benedict). Make sure to book for brunch, next time we will do so to have more time to enjoy the place. The decoration is magnificent, beautiful atmosphere. The service was great! The only negative point is that the breakfast poutine should have a little more cheese filling. I feel like I ate a lot more potatoes. The sauce was super good though. The dishes are very original, but my suggestion would be to work on the quantity a little, because for a lunch we expect to have a little more in content.

We reserved a table for 2 which was confirmed. When we showed up 20 minutes after reserving they said a random man took our table (?!?) and they had no more tables as they were all reserved. The staff of three basically did NOTHING for us and continued to go about their business basically waiting for us to leave.

We had a very bad experience at this brunch unfortunately, the decor did not compensate for the quality of the service or the food we had. To summarize, we ordered frozen drinks which were served to us in plastic glasses whose pink fluorescent marker they put on them ended up on our hands (cute but not practical), the drinks were not very well made and were borderline amateur. Fine. We then order our meals, the waitress did not warn us in advance that our order would take time to prepare. If we knew in advance how long it was going to take, we would have gone elsewhere. Anyway our order arrives after 45 minutes of waiting, I mean 45 minutes! And guess what, it s COLD! We waited that long to be served with cold food. The waitress never comes to see us and we were not offered ketchup or mayo for the potatoes. We left frustrated and hungry. In conclusion, this cafe welcomes more people than they are able to serve, it was the worst experience we have had to date in a brunch. The cafe is well and tastefully decorated yes but the experience is not worth it.

The coffee is great the lunch was delicious super relaxed 5 star atmosphere. I remove one for a lack of bossboy, the tables remain full after the customers have left a certain time (thus the bar counter full of dishes) and toilet paper no paper. But that doesnt change anything for the quality of the dishes and the atmosphere. Im definitely going back.

This place is a real gem. I came across this place when I went for a walk by the river, and since then, Ive been back several times. I travel all the say from Brossard just to eat here, go to the farmers market and walk by the river. The decor of the place is amazing, and the service is great, and the food (along with its presentation) is excellent. Ive brought various out-of-town guests here, and its always a great experience overall.
