Great discovery, I tried the griot dish in sauce! It was tasty, tender, the portion was more than generous. It was a comforting meal! Nice welcome from the cook too. The restaurant/counter was clean, the appearance of the place is modest. We took the takeaway. In short, we will surely come back!

The best TASSOT Plate of grios that I have eaten in my life for supper seriously, I tip my hat to you, congratulations, I just have some good comments to make regarding the grios that I just ate, I am going to return more often

Honestly never had any problems when I ordered..this evening ordered on SKIP my beef tassot not cooked enough AND the sauce and the pikliz were missing..I called them 3 times to be told that they had sent a delivery man without receiving anything..in addition to having to finish cooking the meat..I asked for a refund but the girl on the phone tells me that the items will arrive..its been an hour!!

I ordered the fried kabri tassot which was served hot and crispy! White rice with pea sauce: tasty! Without forgetting the bannann peze (fried plantains), one of the best Ive tasted in a snack bar :) Great experience!

For connoisseurs of Haitian snacks, meets expectations. For those who dont know, very good restaurant to try, the griot is not overcooked and the chicken is a safe bet. Tassnacks are also a great, inexpensive option!

Very good goat tassot

The server does not answer questions well. He speaks in half sentences and doesnt listen to what people say to him. I ask the difference between griot in sauce and normal, and it should be super simple to explain but I had to make him repeat it three times. Then I order the griot with sauce, and he responds as if he was going to serve me without sauce. I lost hope of communicating and just ate what he served me. Little chance of me coming back.

Rice is good but the griot was dry... a mini pot of sauce and not even salad! Everything for $15 plus tax and tips is a bit of an abuse in my opinion several places offer the same thing for a lot less Im a little disappointed Im going to give it one last chance

I had the tassot in sauce, it was really good!!! I ate half and saved the rest for work the next day. Next time Im in the area Ill definitely go back!!! The cashier was really nice and cute as hell!!!

I really love this place the West Indian cuisine tastes like heaven and so this restaurant is truly heaven. I like the plantim and I recommend the Jumbo griot hummm a delight.

Stopping despite the bad reviews ultimately shouldnt have made the griot a weird consistency. The sauce is very good. Rice is normal. The plantain is dry. Not even worth the $9.99 special Disappointing

Tassot is basic Creole food so its not super spicy its not ultra authentic but considering were in St Jean sur Richelieu IT DOES IT!!! It s like the St Hubert of Creole food!!! Thank you for being here and please dont go away!!! We need culinary diversity in this area. Much better than the mermaid in any case!

Ive eaten Tassot at other branches, and this one wins the prize. The meats were cooked perfectly, the plantain crispy, the chicken tasty and tender. And it was unanimous among the family (3 adults and 2 children)... the best in the region!

Very, very disappointed. Tassot Creole is a chain of restaurants. I guess thats why the food really doesnt do justice to good, real Creole food! Homemade by real Haitians. It was bland; the spices and flavors so particular and unique were not there! Neither in the griot sauce, nor in the pea sauce. And the plantains were overcooked, too dry. We didnt even taste their sweetness or their flavor. And the beef tassot was really fatty. Too much undrained oil. My heart hurts! Sorry to be so negative! But Im honest!!! Mind you, you might like it!
