Dinner with friends, there were 4 of us. The service was perfect. Reclined back chairs not so much. For a person with a weak back, the angle of the backrest is long to support throughout a dinner. That said, the octopus starter was excellent, well cooked, good portion. My choice of Cajun shrimp left me hungry, an episode of corn cut into 3 and grilled, baby potatoes which were crushed to give style and a rather bland taste. All for the two of us with a bottle of wine for $238, tip included. It was our first visit and I will go back to try another dish since the choice is there to be continued

Visit on Thursday August 22, for a dinner with friends. Cold atmosphere in all directions, it was so cold that my husband and I still have sore throats etc. this August 27. I had a jacket on my back , plus a scarf. The food leaves something to be desired, flank steak and fries overcooked, the vegetables dry, burnt, the flank steak hard, the filet mignon at $55 not tender. The flavored coffee was not drinkable, the waitress did not know the information except the price of the coffee: $13. In addition, the waitress forgot the coffee that I had at the end of my dessert, because I asked for it again. Finally, the bill for the 4 people was all mixed up, so corrections upon corrections had to be paid at the end. No we are not going back, the restaurant, the service, the food, are not worth the price. Sorry

Great meal! Great service! A great discovery. I would perhaps not recommend the wine pairing menu... A crème brûlée which impresses us with a Limoncello... a little disappointing as an end result.

One word: incredible! Our new spot in St-Jean! The service was perfect, super friendly staff. The dishes were a delight and the platinum food/wine pairing was simply top notch. I hate it when a restaurant serves croquettes or other junk style dishes to children. They too want to discover and treat themselves! The barn offers a really good dish for children and we even stole a bite of it because it was so delicious. Well see each other again soon, thats for sure!!!

If you are a fan of steakhouses, gastronomy or simply hot meals, I would suggest you continue on your way. However, if you want a good cocktail and attentive service I recommend it. Ultimately, your assessment depends on the experience you want to have.

Having traveled a lot and posted in different places around the world this left something to be desired. Nice presentation of the meals which did not live up to our expectations compared to the reputation currently conveyed by the restaurant. The portions are small and the flavors are good but weak.

There is no discovery to be made in terms of alcohol at this place unfortunately. The food is certainly very well presented and its taste is good but once again nothing more. You shouldnt expect an explosion of flavor which is a shame considering the price at which the portions are sold. It is the atmosphere and the presentation which make this restaurant the darling of the moment and which are its strong points. The quality of the food is very good but in terms of flavor, it delights people who find pepper to be a strong spice.

I leave this opinion on behalf of my octogenarian grandparents who are not very comfortable with technology: they went with family to a restaurant last weekend to celebrate a birthday and they were very, very disappointed with the service received. They understand that its a wine bar, but were really surprised to see that the quality of service seemed to depend on the quantity of bottles of wine ordered. The food took more than an hour to arrive on the table (there were only 6 of them and the waitress only warned them that there were delays in the kitchen), and the flank steaks were distributed without even asking to whom belonged which cooking. No follow-up on the satisfaction of the food was done and my aunt and grandmother had to wait for another 20 minutes while their respective dishes were reheated because they were cold. The food was good but the service was downright pitiful. My 81 year old grandmother, who is never angry with anyone or anything, called me and she was furious. Ive never seen her frustrated like that over dinner at a restaurant. Additionally, the waitress made a $36 mistake by charging 2x something that was already included in the table dhôte - one wonders if this was an error and not an attempt to increase the value total bill, which already amounted to almost $200 for 2 people. In short, my grandmother and grandfather will not return to this place.

Very disappointing service, waitresses in a hurry, pushy, rude. The salmon tartare was bland, and very expensive. The beef tartare was also bland, for the braised pasta the beef was almost non-existent, the pasta tough. The starter of squid (3 small pieces), and very small portion of prime rib. It cost us over $200, a shame, pure theft. Very small portions and excessively high prices. When we enjoy ourselves, we dont care a little about the price, but its an experience for which we remained satisfied. It will not be recommended, and obviously we will not return there.

We visited the Grange 3 times. The first time was in the fall of 2022. The dishes were succulent, each bite was an explosion of flavor in the mouth. The cooking, the seasonings, the taste, the mix of flavors, the freshness... it was perfect. We tasted, among others, the cod cheek dish, the octopus, and the flank steak. It was absolutely divine and everything we tasted was executed with great attention to detail and culinary experience. Then, we returned on December 31, 2022. We tasted blood sausage, Asian beef sides, and several other dishes. Unfortunately, the dishes were less tasty than the first time but above all much less well executed. The cooking of the food was uneven, the taste did not meet our expectations, in short it was very different compared to our first experience. Obviously, they were full house because it was December 31st and we told ourselves that they must have a big party and that we should more or less rely on this service. So we returned on October 15, 2023. We had tasted Bánh mi, salmon tartare, gnocchi and flank steak. The salmon tartare was exquisite and personally I love it when this dish isnt too overwhelming to let the salmon be the star of the dish and it was. It was fresh and delicious. The flavor of the flank steak was perfect, although a little too blue for my partner (I was delighted). On the other hand, the gremolata was a little too salty. We couldnt taste the blue cheese in the butter either. The bánh mi was good, the chicken tasted very good but the bread was a little burnt. The gnocchi were absolutely divine! The pasta was perfect in terms of texture and cooking. In addition, the fact that they were grilled really gave a pleasant texture in the mouth. The sauce, the various mushrooms, the nice amount of parmesan, the garlic chips and the fried sage were simply delectable. The best dish of the evening. Each time we had good service. (twice by the waitress Fanny), we received the dishes quickly, the temperature of the dishes were always perfect, the wine service impeccable. The only time we were not served by Fanny was on December 31 and we were served correctly by another waitress who, however, had failed to bring my sister a glass of bubbles on two occasions. Finally, we left before receiving it. But hey, it was a big evening and we didnt make a big deal of it, to err is human. The restaurant is well decorated and not too noisy. Beautiful plants beautify the place. Its always spotlessly clean. The prices are very fair because in terms of quality/price it is impossible to be disappointed. We will return, hoping that we can have a perfect second experience like our very first visit. Thanks to the whole team! Also no offer to go find the sommelier when the answers to our questions remained unanswered but simply a Im not sure or I didnt taste it We found our dishes very tasty. On the other hand, it seemed very laborious to have a vegetarian option. I see however that they have added a dish now! Think about the entrance too ;) We understand that the restaurant has just opened and that it needs to get established and that is why I would still like to encourage them to continue because I believe that it is a type of restaurant with a lot of potential which has everything to offer. makes its place in St-Jean! A magnificent establishment with super friendly staff! The plates are so delicious that you dont want to leave anything because everything is delicious. The wine list is truly sublime. Upon entering you will notice a huge cellar and believe me there will be no shortage of it for your event. The bar is splendid and has plenty of drinks that you can consume in cocktails or mocktails. However, the choice of beers is a little limited for whoever is accompanying you. But it wouldn t be La Grange Bar à Vin if you only serve beer . This restaurant is a great discovery and I cant wait to go back there for my next date.

Very disappointed! We had our Christmas dinner yesterday, out of around thirty people, 3 of us had severe food intolerances/allergies. I had planned our visit with a very friendly manager who had worked out the required arrangements with me. The waitresses were also really friendly, despite the wait being a bit long. On the other hand, in the kitchen, the cooks did not understand our requests and we received unsuitable plates and personally I was sick. My colleague who is celiac received 2 out of three dishes which included gluten. In short, good restaurant, great atmosphere, courteous staff, but A BIG ZERO if you have food allergies or intolerances.

Huge selection of alcoholic drinks, only weak point not many varieties for non-alcoholic drinks, a homemade lemonade or iced tea would be appreciated for the designated driver! Maybe even a mocktail card. I really cant wait to go back!

Simply excellent, a real gastronomic experience! The pulled duck starter on naan bread was sublime, and what can I say about the octopus starter cooked sous vide: I have never eaten such a good octopus in my entire life! The main dishes are generous and just as good. The flank steak with chimichurri was delicious, and the beef papardelle melted in your mouth. Honestly, we are offered a varied menu, worthy of the best restaurants! We will return without hesitation.

Very good, I had the starter of mini duck naans (2) very good, can easily be shared and the filet mignon is excellent with small vegetables in seasoned butter and home fries. Its big portions, I didnt have dessert because I already ate too much... youre going to enjoy it. The manager takes care of his customers and ensures that everyone is satisfied. Just a quick suggestion, there should be more vegetarian options, I didnt want to deprive my friends who all eat meat and wanted to try this new restaurant. I highly suggest you take the tasting service! The octopus was succulent, the flank steak was ripe. The tasty Rockefellers however, not gratin enough for me, but to each their own! The pappardelle a big WOW, this pasta dish is one of the best Ive eaten so far! Desserts! ! ! Pig as you wish! ! ! If you have a sweet tooth you will be spoiled! The only small downside, The music is too loud for an evening meal, so people have to raise their voices and at times it becomes cacophonous. In short, a great experience, we will definitely return! Next time Ill try the pudding ;)
