If you’re going to this place, be careful! Guests are treated with utmost kindness here. This is a small area where every corner is made for your relaxation. There are separate pets, a railway with a train and crossing, a corner with swings for children and other surprises. We were most impressed by the fact that you feel surrounded by the culture of Quebec, the French language everywhere and delicious home-made food. Maple syrup on sticks was so yummy, we didn't want to stop))) In the restaurant, we were served by the waitress Sylvie, she was very attentive to us and we felt like part of a big friendly family. Sorry, I wrote a lot of letters, but this place deserves to be praised! Thanks to the whole team who organizes such a weekend! You are incredible guys!
Food was ok but not great. I was expecting to have any sort of desert but nothing was served after our meal. We obviously had the maple sirop on ice but no other deserts. Not much to do for kids. When we went, the train was not operating. There was a mini farm and a few arcade games but that was about it. The service was great though, people who worked there were very friendly.
great venue for events with nice strolls in the forest in the back, a little live farm on site, clean amenities and really friendly staff. close to montreal but still feel secluded
Lots of things to do, food is okay, maple syrup is amazing.
Food was generally warm and delicious, except for the pea soup which was a little bland. The friendly and efficient service from Sylvie made our day!
Really fantastic all around. They make sure that every visitor is happy!
The food was pretty standard fare for a cabane à sucre. There is a little farm with goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, a donkey and an alpaca (really). For an additional $2, you can also ride a little train on a circuit around the woods. The downside of this place is that there's no maple syrup production demo.
It's a pleasant trip. Food was not great great, but it's good for the price. Atmosphere was warm and relaxed in the dinning hall. Animals were cute and happy living in the mini farm. Train and sleigh with gorgeous horses are both available, which is rare to other cabane a sucre. The "grandpa" driving the sleigh was nice and chatted with my daughters a lot. The waitress, the cake-cutting-guy and the ticket-selling-staffs were nice and warm too. Tire sur la neige was delicious and supplied unlimited. We didn't find a shop though, maybe we missed it. We enjoyed the trip. Thanks Cabane A Sucre Bouvrette.
I recommend it for those who like Sugar Shacks. Large grounds and sleigh ride.
Beautiful place for your celebrations or party!! The staff was great. There are beautiful places to take beautiful photos!
The owner is nice but the meat was not cooked enough. We had a few people sick. The room is in huge need of renovation because there is a lot of mold. Parking: When there is a reservation there is barely enough parking for everyone but when renting both rooms the parking is too small
No for the atmosphere. There is better. I would say this site is just normal. Parking: Very large parking space on gravel and clean.
Food was ok but not the same as before and Ive been a loyal customer for the past 10 years.
We went there for a birthday/brunch. Everything was excellent. I cant describe the atmosphere since there was only our group
This room is too noisy.
Ok, taken to take away.
Very disappointed. The food is very mediocre. We were a group of 7 people and the portions we were served were so small that there wasnt enough for everyone. We were served a base of pea soup, so thick it looked like baby puree. The sausages too hard, the charred bacon, the omelette with questionable taste and the baked beans which were very dark and tasted burnt. As for marinades, we will use a slice of vinegared onion for 7 people and Heinz ketchup to replace the homemade fruit ketchup. So its a lot to pay $44 for hot bread, a square of creton, beets and potatoes. In conclusion Bouvrette never again. I absolutely do not recommend this place.
The food was amazing. Good service but not great.
Best place for a real sugar shack meal!!!
Very very disappointing exaggerated price for cold food and not very good hygiene which leaves dishes not very clean with hair in any case I do not recommend
Excellent place!!!
Unfortunately it is no longer what it was since the change of ownership. Passable food. Only their omelette remains excellent. For the rest, blah. But some people in the group found it good, and others only passable. For me it was the last time.
Flavorless, tasteless, 100 piasse!!!
Terrible food, exorbitant prices and non-existent atmosphere.
Very expensive for eating garbage. Not again for me ... Food
Parking: Grand terrain pour parking Food
Excellent service in the dining room (the only star), but mediocre menu. No baked beans, bacon in small dry pieces (probably leftovers from the day) and nothing seemed fresh. There were 7 of us and we had reserved for 6 p.m. At the end of the meal, we went out to take the train ride, but it was closed for the day. The children were disappointed....the adults too. In short, nothing special and rather disappointing.
Omg what to say disappointed for 44.00 we no Baked Bean small piece of bacon not the same atmosphere which has if we step back it is years old and I understand why its unfortunate to see this the same and you should taste the soup with super weight bland arck no its over for the family were going to discover something else bye bye
Very disappointed with the food, especially at the price of $44/person. They had forgotten our omelette. The places are very tight, we had to get up for the waitress to pass.
We were a big company group. For me and our table everything was very good. Small bread with soup that we served ourselves in a beautiful serving dish. A big plate of scream ear ham and even bacon. Super nice soufflé omelette served to order. The potatoes are hot. The service was excellent and fast, with a choice of dessert: sugar tart, pudding chômeur and crepe, for some all three. Well done to the whole team
The atmosphere is very good, inside and outside with the small farm. But I didnt like the food. Bacon and very dry and tough chriss ear. Strange order of meals too. Correct price.
There were dishes not like soup omelette bread not fresh really disappointed
The waitresses were talking behind our average kitchen back
good service, good food, relaxed atmosphere, little train, farmhouse, sleigh pulled by hair, great day
I dont even know where to start, The burnt eggs turn into a dry cake, Bacon burnt hard even not edible, Cabbage & beet salad with any hair......, Ham served cold..... frozen butter for the bun, Cold pea soup...... and so on... Poor service, then we talk about the price, $110 for 2 adults 1 child 3 years old.... clearly I wouldnt go back there again. ...... ridiculous.... Very pleasant Train Tour
Really ridiculous place, no respect for hygiene!!!!! Dirty bowl, hair in the food...the tables are so stuck together that I can feel the neighbor of the table breathing down my neck.... What can I say about the rest of the food, very mediocre... Paid $45 per adult for that, its downright laughing at the world! And as long as you charge that much, you might as well include the train ride! I really dont recommend this sugar shack
I went there with Jeremy, Jonathan, Alex, Leila, and the Lions Club, and we ate a BIG meal for a BIG lunch.
beautiful rustic sugar shack experience. unlimited meal ($44/pers) some animals for children. horse-drawn cart ride ($3/pers), trail in the woods, etc.
Personally, I dont think the food was amazing. The potatoes were way too salty and almost choked me, but they were just as good. In addition, the ham and bacon were dripping from the cardboard, I had to flood them with syrup and pepper to get a good taste. The crystal ears were a little too colorful (glass, red and purple). However, the pancakes were quite good, as was the water, the tart was as dry as a desert. We also found a good atmosphere (love the llamas).
I was with my school and was very disappointed the cutlery was dirty and I had hair in my cup then the service was poor the ears were too dry and even some were covered with marks of mold the bacon was hard as rock reinforced concrete then the omelette if we can call it an omelette had the texture of a jelo we couldnt go past the sausages dipped in maple syrup which was the only thing that was edible yet it wasnt complicated to make the only really edible thing was water, although sometimes an earthy aftertaste was present. Now the activities almost non-existent like the train that didnt work there were only animals and a few arcades that could entertain us I dont know how much my school paid for it but it was a disastrous experience!!!!!
I loved this evening
Excellent food. Very well maintained premises. Very nice owner.
Ive been going there since I was a child and I still love it!
The sugar shacks couldnt afford it... $20.00... for sausages; potato pea soup etc... very nice staff
We went to reserve the room for our wedding, the owner and manager super friendly, and very pleasant
My sister almost swallowed a piece of porcelain that came off the soup dish. She had the reflex to spit it out. She had a cut in her mouth and was vomiting blood. Luckily it wasnt a child who choked on it.
Wow super nice cabin in Sucre The super fast and friendly service and The staff take the time to consult and take the time to listen to the animals are super nice and the food is unlimited
Vegetarian options: Comme le pizza ou pasta Food
I went with my little family for dinner on Sunday evening! I like having privacy with my world and not sitting with other families at the same table. That s a plus for me. A typical sugar shack meal! My daughter discovered her first sugar shack and she loved her meal. Parking: Free parking and enough space Kid-friendliness: My daughter used an Ikea childrens high chair.
Difficult to be served more than two small bowls of potatoes...or plate of beef jowls and corn ears for a table of 11. Overcooked pasty pos muchie soup. The waitress is in a hurry to pick it up and asks if we are finished, but not to bring some back with so much pressure. Overcooked omelette $.37 and in addition sleigh ride $3 no but its not worth it!
Frankly! Beautiful place!!! Cozy and warm with such nice employees! The food is good and even the singer was very talented! It makes me want to go back! Some games for the children outside, a sleigh ride with superb horses and some animals which seem well cared for. Suzanne the waitress at the tables = a real gem the building is a little smaller than other big commercial huts but we really liked that! A little about the menu: very good pea soup, denser but excellent omelette, sausages in syrup, beans, delicious bacon! Ears of Christ sliced thin so they melt in your mouth! Nothing is over-salted like many places, we can season it a little more to our taste. Super friendly table service. Desserts are good but not to die for. Parking: Large and spacious, even has the land Kid-friendliness: Two small play modules and swings. Carriage ride and rail train!
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! , lets start with the most important, the meal, cold or warm, it looked like an IGA ham, omelette distributed by someone in portions so cold, the only good part is dessert...outside EVERYTHING is outdated or missing A LOT of love!!! for our first and last visit, and passing the famous little TRAIN out of order!!! for us the staff is the strong point of our stay! Kid-friendliness: for both children and adults
Takeaway order only, Very expensive for a meal box, and the unemployed pudding dessert is very, very small.
The children really liked it.
Decent food, excellent service, too bad there was only one chicken, 3 alpacas and rabbits at the time of our visit. Very limited in animals, a little disappointed with that.
Not very pleasant, small room, tables shared with strangers, very poor organization, there are easily better maple groves
Food
Very good atmosphere with the singer. Impeccable service. Decent food, but disappointing to always have to ask for extra. They dont even leave the omelette on the table. Rather, they walk around with the omelet as if it were sliced roast beef at the table. There were no more greaves. Pickled gherkins are very, very salty. While the pea soup was bland. Almost everyone at our table added salt to their soup. I had never seen that! The unemployed pudding lacked juice. The sugar tart was very good.
Super good but honestly they would benefit from reviewing their customer experience. The tables are too close together and especially the process of entering the rooms is incredibly unpleasant. For the rest, great service, good food and good after-meal activities!!
Very nice place for a family reunion, I loved it! Parking: No Parking problem
A wonderful day ! Great atmosphere, the food is really good compared to several other cabins, good table service, very pleasant carriage ride, mini park for children, mini farmhouse... The only negative points (not enough to spoil this beautiful day) is the absence of a changing table in the bathrooms to change the babys diaper and the train was not functional. I highly recommend this cabin!
Friendly people Good service Good food
The best!
Truly a great prom experience. Excellent service! The food was very good and there was a nice variety!
Conference with Marc Gervais
It was for Josée Boudreaults conference, a decent room but it went with the theme of the evening, which was a very good one. Nice personalized welcome from your boyfriend at the entrance. Very nice evening!
Very nice place for our office party. Excellent food.
Attentive staff, very friendly and ready to party
Always great every year the employees are friendly the excellent food and beautiful little farmhouse
I have been coming here for years, I went this year 2022 and I am extremely disappointed. Overcooked ears, overcooked small potato. The syrup on the table flowed like water, fortunately the omelette and taffy on snow were good. For the service I understand the difficulty of having employees but really not strong service...sorry but there are limits for the price paid...
It was my first experience and I really liked their staff and service. They were quite flexible with our dietary restrictions. I will probably go back again with my friends.
Not strong. Omelet with a crust. Deli ham, very hard bacon, impossible to cut with a knife, however very good service.
Still so delicious!
10/10 I was cross faded than lcawliss
Good service very good food
Everything is good, everything is there (games for children, farmhouse, little train), very nice rustic and warm atmosphere. But above all, we do not feel lost in a dining room that is too large. Its not too noisy and were not crowded on top of each other. A truly beautiful little cabin!
Even if you book you have to wait at least 1 hour... so we dont have the impression that the reservations are really useful and it seems poorly organized... From the outside it seems good for example...
No service, food was cold, very disappointed
Excellent sugar cabana
In terms of decor, it s really a beautiful place. For children, there is a beautiful park to play in and a train that travels on a track along the paths. For the waiting room, the atmosphere with musicians is good. There is a big fire outside to warm up and it is very beautiful. Meal level is good but nothing more. From our familys personal taste, the omelette is a little dry and the bines bland. The ham is ok, the pea soup is excellent, the sausages in syrup are good. The potatoes were good too. The criss ears are good but nothing more. It s really the outside atmosphere that gives the establishment its charm.
The wait was long but when we got to the table it was #1
Super good and excellent service
Very angry, I called to reserve one evening, but we had not been warned to arrive 3 hours in advance to be able to collect the entrance tickets! We waited a while to finally decide to go eat at St-Hubert because they provided excellent service there and a very good maple desert! This sugar shack could never
Impeccable service, food ok, but nothing more. However the roof clearly needs some care. Water seeps into several places
Did not like the food, all of our party got sick the same night we ate there
Very good no waiting on a Friday lunchtime
We made a reservation for a group. We waited 25 minutes in a first line for our tickets, then we waited more than an hour in a second line to get our seats. Lots of groups passed in front of us during this time. Our table was supposed to be for 16 but they added 4 chairs to a table of 12. When we were told that our table was almost ready (4 plates were missing) I asked that my pregnant partner could go and sit , we answered just her because otherwise its a lot of trouble to put the cutlery. We were stuck, the food was cold... There is a fee for outdoor activities, the train derailed and fell on its side, people had to walk to get back. In short, I dont recommend it at all. Fortunately, our waitress was cheerful and efficient in serving.
We would like to thank the waitress CARO assigned to our table (the group of 24 who met in the large room on March 26, 2022) you made our meal pleasant with your A1 service and your humor... Thanks to the owner for the wine!!!
Too expensive for what it is, cabin in the middle of an industrial area. The setting is mediocre. The food was average and it was way too high
We came on March 26, 2022 and finally given the problems they had with the employee we were taken to a special table at reception. What more can I say than wow!! What good service, the waiters especially ours Caroline, she listened to our needs with the children, she was very present and super nice!! It was such a friendly atmosphere!! Super good food!! Great outdoor activities! As much as the train driver was nice, the carriage driver let us pet his horses!! Thank you for your welcome, thank you for finding a way to welcome us and for doing it well! Thanks for everything!! Signed the group of 24 who ate at reception:)!
Great sugar shack experience, very complete and welcoming for children. Small farm on site with chickens, ducks and alpacas. Carriage ride and mini-train ride. The small wooded area allows for a (very very short) walk from where you can see the maple sap harvesting buckets. The activities are in different small separate cabins on the ground: coupons/cash counter, dining room, taffy. The central space is very lively. The menu is good and includes most of the essentials: pea soup, pickled beets, pickles, coleslaw, small sausages in syrup, ham, bacon, ears of criss, soufflé omelette, bines, sugar tart and pudding chômeur. No grandfather in the syrup though. You should have arrived a little earlier, the line for the coupons was a little long.
We took the trouble to make a reservation and waited 1 hour 20 minutes before being able to sit at a table. Already the line was Long to pay and on top of that the wait to get there. I had to ask to speak to the manager to get things moving, before that no server or staff had come to see us to help us. Really disappointing service at this level, lack of organization and customer management. (Many unhappy customers due to waiting) Positive point, The food is good and the table service was also good and there were activities for children (train, carriage ride, games) Unfortunately I wouldnt go back but its a shame because all in all its a beautiful sugar shack.
Very nice place to waste your time. We waited 45 minutes to buy our tickets, only to be told that there was no room, and that there MAYbe room 1 hour later. I dont have a problem with the fact that there was no more room for us, its just that it would have been nice to have told us BEFORE we waited 45 minutes.
Showing up there at 4:30 a.m. thinking there was going to be no one there, only to wait 45 minutes in line and being told that its sold out for the evening and that theyre just accepting reservations. Organization a little booche at least the girl at the cash register was nice.
A little wait but otherwise everything was very good.
Good food. Stamp of yesteryear. Nice little train ride. Children love the farm with its little animals.
Absolutely disappointing!! The food really left something to be desired and the dishes were dirty. The price of entry is astronomical compared to the quality of what they serve us. And when we asked for more milk, they brought us ¼ of warm milk paint...... I wont go back.
Very good, great staff! You just have to be patient before getting our table. But its worth it !
Typical Caban a sucre.
It was very good.
We went there last Friday and its honestly the worst food Ive eaten among all the sugar shacks Ive tried. The pickles are not salted properly, the beets are too cute, the omelette smells burnt like never before, the bacon tastes... nothing! Fast service, but the quality of the food needs to be worked on more than ever. Plus, dishes that are super dirty! The outdoor experience is good, the little train for the children, the module and the taffy are the only positive points of this outing. Quite disappointing for a comeback after 2 years without a sugar shack
Large cabin Good meal
The site is very good, the people welcoming, the animals, well there arent that many (4 llamas, 5 chickens and 1 rabbit), the food was very good and hot...but the service we received everything little by little with delays between each item...bread then soup, then coleslaw, sausages in syrup, grilled meats and ham, baked beans........ .and at one point I had to ask if the omelette was coming (we had almost finished eating). It was similar for dessert and coffee. I dont know if it was because it was Sunday evening and the lady who served us was tired, but it was a bit hard. She is very lucky that I have generous children to have left her $20 tip for a group of 8, because for me it would have been much less. Luckily we ended it on a good note with the taffy on snow, which was very delicious and the gentleman was very nice too! I recommend this cabin, as long as I come across a more friendly and sociable waitress too :)
You get in line to buy your tickets but since its a bar lets say its long and whats more, no one told us that to buy tickets it was next door, no poster mentioning it so 30 minutes of wasting time. You walk into the building and it looks so stuck in the 1970s, it lacks renovations. If they allow themselves to celebrate weddings there it is written in the sky that it would not be THERE that I would choose to celebrate my marriage Arrived at our table... Syrup was stuck on the tablecloth. The dishes were dirty. The pea soup wasnt so bad but its not the most traditional soup because they put dill in it Small potatoes, probably the bottom of the batch we received. Sausages in syrup not cooked enough, no taste of syrup. The omelette was burnt, when it arrived with it we had a big burnt draft, Im not even talking about the taste it was so disgusting. I removed large pieces of burnt on and inside my piece of omelette Basically $50 in the trash that evening. Is what I recommend, no.
Reservation for 12:30 p.m....we got our table at 1:30 p.m. 15 people on a table which should contain a maximum of 10. Masks are not worn.
It was a bit expensive considering the food wasnt very good. The bacon and criss ears was extremely dry and tough. The sausage cocktails were good, the soup was very good. The potted vegetables were horribly salty. The pudding was dull and dry. The attractions are good for the family.
Perfect time for my sisters birthday! A big thank you to the whole team
Excellent service, everything was good
Too much packing, food is good but its not enough
Very good,good time and ambiance
Bad service cold and bland food tastes nothing every time we asked for something the waitress sighed very bad experience its sure we will go back there again
Seriously never again!!! When we arrived at the dangerous outdoor games for the children, then the dirty dishes had to be changed. Poor service due to the fact that we made them change the dishes, food overcooked and tasteless... Too expensive for nothing in the end. ..
Poor customer service. We were turned away when we showed up to buy their products on site. However we wanted to order for 6 people! We were told that he Had to buy full meals. Afterwards they told us they didnt have time for us! Terrible customer service and receptionist! The good years of the Bouvrette Sugar Shack are over!
Everything is very good, you didnt wait and the animals are very beautiful
Very disappointing to learn that the remaining food on the tables is collected for the next service. I understand the lack of staff when you dont pay those who work there and they dont have breaks from their 12-hour shift. Overall, I dont recommend this place.
Well located and easy to access. And really delicious We have an elaborate and unlimited choice. The children ate more than their fill. We danced to the music of the singer. Outside we played games: sliding and visiting the henhouse and the llamas. The train ride and finally the tractors and snow pulling. A most enjoyable day. THANK YOU FOR THE GOOD SERVICES.
Poor organization for table management, otherwise very good and typical setting
The soup and potatoes were undercooked and the egg soufflé was overcooked! Sausages in syrup are delicious.
Excellent service, excellent meal
Very helpful and friendly employees. She did the best she could.... But the dishes came to her in dribs and drabs and only moderately hot.... Commercial food... Correct but nothing more.... The lukewarmness and the far too long pace of the kitchen dont help... For more than $32.... I wont go back...
Good traditional sugar shack food and lovely atmosphere.
Superb place Very welcoming staff
Very nice experience! I tasted better for the omelettes but the quality of food and service was very present. We were served like kings by Sara but most of the staff are very pleasant to talk to and are very present to meet our expectations. Arrive early though. It took 50 minutes to sit at a table but....the service once again helped us wait. Even the little train was very pleasant to take with the family. Thank you Sara for everything once again!!
My wedding took place on August 20 at this location and everything was absolutely perfect!!!! Caroline is an exceptional employee, patient, reassuring, attentive to our needs and our budget. My guests all commented on how exceptional the food, wine and service was. The site is also very enchanting. Thank you for making my wedding such a magical day! I recommend them 1000%!!!
My wife and I got married at the Bouvrette Sugar Shack on September 17, 2022. We had a perfect, flawless experience! The charming Caroline guided us and helped us from A to Z, she made us feel at ease immediately and made this moment even more perfect. Thank you again a thousand times to the entire cabin team for the service and help and thank you again Caroline for everything. We recommend this cabin 100%
We went there for a wedding, beautiful welcome, very good food and excellent service .
Very good thank you
2nd time Ive been there in 39 years, well liked
I went there for the game, the service was good and the atmosphere was cool, it felt good to get together after 2 years of pandemic.
Food is OK!
Very nice place!! Perfect spot to stop while snowmobiling
Thank you for the good service
Very disappointed with the cabin meal to take away and also a sugar tart in a perforated plate, not ideal to reheat in the oven and especially no crust in the bottom. Imagined the rest.
We were looking for takeaway food! We are extremely disappointed... the portions are very moderate, the sausages not even cooked and barely any syrup! Plus we have to cook everything ourselves! Honestly for $100 for four meals half of which was wasted because it wasnt edible, we find it very expensive for what its worth! By the way, nothing to do with what we ate there in the past :(
it was a treat for our taste buds. Pudding to the unemployed, I can guarantee you that he was not unemployed for his mouth.
We tried their takeout boxes, and we were very pleased. The portions are generous (we took two boxes for three adults and we werent able to make it to dessert!) and its typical sugar shack food. We followed the instructions given for reheating everything (but put less water in the soup and baked beans) and everything was very good. There is even taffy to sweeten your mouth! It still takes about twenty minutes to prepare everything and then there are a lot of dishes to do! But I wouldnt go to the trouble of making all of these dishes separately myself, so Im happy with this arrangement. Of course, the sugar shack atmosphere is missing, but we put on a checkered tablecloth and traditional music! :)
Wow! Thank you This morning, I went to pick up 3 sugar shack meal boxes at the last minute! Fast service and the food yum yum everything was delicious
I went there to pick up an order I made online. It was delicious and very reasonably priced.
We enjoyed a meal for two, it is a delight for the palate, everything is good even reheated following the instructions. Thank you a thousand times for allowing us the cabin at home
Takeaway dishes... Best on site
Very ordinary as a sugar shack meal
Still very good. Good service, even if we were a big group of people.
No, I didnt like it at all.
Very beautiful sugar shack
Everything is very good
