Been waiting over an hour and a half for a loaded fries. There was 3 whole people in the restaurant not like they are slammed. Not understanding what the hold up is. Also more worried about skip the dishes more than actual customers in the restaurant.

Ive been eating at the Wok Box in East Saint John for years now, the workers are always incredibly friendly and nice, the food is always amazing and theres no restaurant ive been to that matches this. The chef Thomas has remembered me all these years and greets me by name when i come in, and sometimes he will give me a dm y friends nice little treats for our consistent patronage!

The service is always the best and the food is most definitely my fav in Saint john. We get the sump size and its massive

Chicken wings were delicious, but very small, especially for the price the price is kind of crazy, love the dipping sauces.

The owner and chef is such a personable guy. Always making a point to smile and say hello right from the first moment we walked in years ago. Great food as well.

Good, filling

Yummy bang bang shrimp and kimchi fire balls! The pad thai was okay, wish the shrimp tasted more fresh in the pad thai. It s probably the same shrimp as kapow but perhaps the frying and sauces take away from that taste. My friend got the Dan Dan noodles, it had two spicy levels but was not hot!

So good I forgot to take pictures before eating it lol Amazing gluten free choices that most importantly have not made me sick the two times Ive been here and they taste great. Ive tried the beef and broccoli (first time finding it GF and my favorite dish so far) and the beef pho (perfect for the cold weather) Also got the Thai curry to try, smells great! Excellent food and quick service considering the dishes offered.

My girlfriend and I spent 90$ on two appetizers and three meals for a take out meal. We asked and payed for extra sauces only to return home with no Sauces at all. (Not even the ones included) When we called to inform the restaurant they were unapologetic and rude. They gave no options to rectify the situation and made no effort to make up tor the lost cost.

Maybe because Im from Edmonton where it started but this food and service werw substandard my Hong Kong spice was a mess and has spice but no flavor it was like watery spice, disappointed.

Dont waste your time or money especially on a Sumo box it was literally probably only enough to feed a 5-year-old child and thats it no joke and barely had anything in the Box, Very disappointing I do not recommend this place, like I said save your time and money and go to a real Chinese food place that doesnt rip you off and under feed you especially when you buy a Sumo box and you get a childs meal. Absolutely disappointed in theyre serving sizes and taste wasnt that good also. The beef was chewy and the broccoli sparse and small and I also found a black hair in my meal so which makes me believe that these people dont wear hair nets. I literally paid $33 just to throw it in the garbage. NEVER AGAIN and judging by the previous reviews these people dont deserve business, they deserve to be shut down, Im just sorry I didnt read the reviews before I ordered or I wouldve been HORIFIED! Read the reviews, they dont lie.

This was our go to spot for date night but lately they ve been more focused on skip and door dash orders which has led to extremely long wait times for people not using these apps. When asked why it was a 1 hour wait for two bowls of wonton soup we were told there were a lot of online orders ahead of us. If your that busy with online orders I would suggest hiring another cook to help with dine in orders. I m really going to miss their food but 1 hour wait for two bowls of soup is a bit much.

Baek Baek chicken and poutine is just wok box on top of fries. False advertising as a local company. Avoid and boycott wok box at all costs.

I would give this location zero stars, and will not be returning. I am not able to eat spicy food, so I had a conversation with the cook before ordering and they assured me that the food I was ordering had zero spice to it ( it will make me sick) got my food and took one bite and my entire mouth was on fire, it was extremely spicy to the point where I could not take two bites. Brought it back to have it exchanged not refunded and the employee informed me I was WRONG that the food was not spicy, and that I would not be allowed an exchange or refund. I do not recommend this establishment if you have an opinion on how your food tastes, personally I think spending $22 for food that I cannot eat is ridiculous. Hope wok box enjoyed taking my money and providing horrible service.

I do a lot of reviews for a lot of places coast to coast and boys let me tell you dont waste your time with this place.. wow just wow I gave it to many tries with so many failures. Not just in one aspect either. From chewy beef to horrible online order setups to unhelpful staff. I never understand places that cant be good at what they do when we all live in a world where you have options to do what you love. I hope I save someone else the headaches of this place.

Diverse menu with good portions, nice location with good parking. Its a nice place to eat in at also.

I ve been going to this location for over 5 years and never had a bad experience. Great portion sizes and great head chef who is very consistent in his dishes. 10/10 from me.

The quality of this place has been dropping considerably. The food used to taste pretty good but in my last three visits, it hadnt been even at par. Moreover during the last visit, the staff was busy completing orders for Skip the dishes and did not even bother to acknowledge us or take our orders for 10 minutes.

Pleasant servers, food is tasty but lots of onions and thin slices of carrot. Not much meat in the regular portion but noodles are great.

Walkbox food is unique and good and the prices are fair for what you get. I recommend people try it ! They have a good variety of menu items to fit anybodys taste

When they mess up your meal, they will NOT make it right!!! Horrible customer service. We ordered food for takeout, they said it would be ready at 5:35. Then we drove home and one meal that was supposed to have Tofu, in fact was made with chicken. This is a pretty huge mistake to make because often if someone orders tofu it s because they don t eat meat!!! . Called the store and asked them to deliver the correct order. They said no. They said come back tonight or tomorrow. So already my supper was ruined. Drive 15 minutes back to the store and they refunded the money but did not offer a replacement meal. What the hell. Why would I drive all the way back that very night just to get a refund? I expected a comp d meal or at LEAST a discount! They flat said no. where I am originally from there were a hundred Chinese and Thai places to choose from. Here, in Saint John, it s slim pickings. And they clearly know it. They apparently think they don t need to bother with good customer service because they think people will just be desperate enough to come back. I ll never be back and I ll be following up with corporate as well.

Had quite and experience just placing our order. Took about 15 minutes to communicate the order to the staff who Im assuming was the owner. When we actually got our order the food was wrong. Another incident happened while we were getting our food. A pregnant lady came in because they got her takeout order wrong when she arrived home with her food. She was told to come back in and exchange her order for the correct one. Once she arrived however she was told she would only get a refund and not the order she wanted. This was on-top of her having to waste 45 minutes of her day just to get no food and her husband was about to start his work shift and this was supposed to be his dinner. The staff made no effort to apologize or make the situation right. Very unprofessional staff and pourly run restaurant. Would not recommend.

Worst butter chicken Ive ever had. Under cooked, rubbery and chewy chicken thats not seasoned. Specifically asked for it to be well done. Called to tell them and they asked if I could come back tonight so they can remake it, I told them Im not as its 8pm and I live on the other side of town. They said k thanks for letting us know and didnt offer to take my name for when I return. Recommend to stay away. Ive never left a bad review for a restaurant but this was needed. Never ordering from here again. Terrible.

Food was good but it was a pain to order with many hidden costs. Old man at cash kept getting upset we didnt know exactly what we wanted and rudely told me no free refills after asking if anyone else was getting fountain drinks and I was the only one. Cleaning girl was super nice.

Been here on 5 different occasions and had 4 different items...all fantastic. Portions are great...you dont walk away hungry. Cooked fresh over an open flame wok.. cant wait to go back again.

Great little spot that has a wide variety of various Asian quick-service options, freshly prepared to order. Our kids love the buffalo wings and the samosas are pretty good too. My father-in-law enjoys the jungle lemongrass while my wife goes for the Mongolian beef with broccoli. Its definitely not a place I would pick for traditional Asian fare, but it does a pretty good job at each one and we make it a point to stop by and enjoy it for lunch when we are in the area. Much better than any of the quick-service food options in the area, for sure.

I went into Wok Box for lunch yesterday, it was a pleasant atmosphere, the staff were all friendly and sweet. The food was so fresh and hot super delicious. Very clean restaurant. :)

Ordered because I had my 4 year old and kids ate for free. 20 bucks for a tiny portion of beef and broccoli with more than half the meal rice. My son got jungle noodles and wouldnt touch them. Mine tasted okay but my sons had zero flavour which was odd for a childrens dish. 2 hours later and cant get off the john. Never returning.

Terrible. Can t get the pre packaged plastic taste out of my mouth from the rubber chicken pad thai that strangely tasted like canned spaghetti tomato sauce?? Uuuuugh that s what I get for wanting to try a new place and stepping outside the woks.

Dude serving me was pretty near whispering to me with a loud range hood blaring in the kitchen and then buddy has the nerve to get upset and start rolling his eyes at me when I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times and then the cherry on top this stooge gives me the wrong order AND charges me 3 DOLLARS for a medium soft drink and when I came in to complain about it he just told me to look at the receipt and sent me on my way.. completely hosed out of 18 dollars DONT EAT HERE FOLKS

The restaurant was on the cooler side. The food was very good but it dud take a while to get it. Not a place to go on a time crunch but a very good meal.

Delicious Chinese

Love this location. The staff are polite and always get the order right. They also make delicious food with great portion sizes. Its a bit on the pricier side compared to other Asian food locations but always worth it every time!

Deceptive: Prices quoted on skip the dishes for half portions which always show as sold out. So you will end up upgrading to the more expensive regular size (150% price of half ) or sumo size( which is 200% of the price) Portion size: they call the biggest portion as Sumo size but the quantity is more or less same as regular portion. Customer Service: Not willing to accept feedback, get defensive rather than listening and understanding customer issue. They will keep repeating their standard responses. Taste: Average to above average. Nothing much to write about. Just another run of the mill tasting Chinese/ Asian food joint.

If I could give 0 stars based on customer service and advertisement I would. Three of us stood at the counter ready to order with 4 people behind the counter. No one even looked up to greet us or take our order for several minutes. The entrance windows and posters at the cash advertise Spend More, Eat More, for every $35 get a free app. We were ordering $100 worth of food and the woman advised us the promotion ended April 30th...its May 7th and the advertisement is still posted. We were told we could get the deal through skip the dishes. Literally if we went to our car and ordered skip we could get the deal, but they wouldnt honor the instore advertisement. Must be nice to be able to afford to lose a $100 sale and 3 customers moving forward.

Ordered from BAWK BAWK CHICKEN AND POUTINE a few nights ago. The food was very poor quality. We paid $58 with delivery (for 20 wings and a chicken tender meal) and honestly, I could have bought chicken wings AND tenders (more meat/better seasoning) from ANY box store and they would have been better and cheaper. The pad thai dipping sauce is more of what they coat the wings in... too strong a taste for dipping so I did not use it. Ill never order from here again and not offering an option to pick up made it worse. Dont waste your money on them.

I find this place to be way overpriced. I paid $28 just for food (before taxes) and I have nothing left over. I could have ordered somewhere else in town for the same price and eaten for three days. The food was mediocre at best. The beef was chewy and tough, I really wasnt impressed overall and would not recommend.

Overpriced and extremely slow service. Food was good but wont be coming back. Get it delivered or dont go. Cashier also didnt make it clear what was extra cost and what wasnt.

I had a craving for some Asian cuisine, so we tried this place out and we were not disappointed. We ordered a tempura chicken dish with sweet and sour sauce. The portion was large, enough to feed both myself and my boyfriend. The sauce was tangy and sweet, the chicken was juicy and the breading was crunchy and tasty. The staff were very helpful, friendly and patient. They answered all our questions regarding the menu. The restaurant was clean. I wish there was more locations closer to where I live, but we would consider the drive to explore more of the menu. Try this place out if you see it. You will not be disappointed.

I love this place. The food has always been fantastic, the platters are a good size, and their food is not overpriced. The service is usually really fast. I havent had Skip the Dishes from there so I really dont have a comment on that.

The food is good but the portion size is too small for the price. I paid $40 for 2 meals which consisted of 3-4 cups of rice, some onions, peppers and a small amount of meat. not worth the money.

Food is pretty good I had one bad experience that really turned me off. I know this is a first world problem and I probably shouldnt complain but it was extremely inconvenient. I left the house and forgot my wallet at home realized I had tap on my phone so I thought it was okay. When I get there I find out if they do not accept tap on their debit machines.... So I said okay Ill have to go home and get my wallet to come back to pay for it. When I came back I had to wait in line for 15 minutes. My food had been sitting for 40 to 45 minutes.

Definitely not your average Chinese food type restaurant. The food is delicious. Very different.

I love all the vegan and vegetarian options but the prices are too high to make a habit of it, especially for lunches. I got the jungle lemongrass tofu and it came to almost $20 and all I had as a side was a bottle of water. Guess it s more for special occasions than to go regularly at those rates.

Been here twice and both times werent overly impressed. There are many menu options so maybe we werent trying the right items but I wont be going again unless someone tells me whats actually good here.

awesome spot

The best part of this place aside from the authentic yummy goodness they serve, is the service. The head cook/owner is always so genuine and if I ask for anything even after I have paid and sit down, they still serve me like they are working for tips. Top notch. Highly recommend them for a quiet night with the lady.

Has a great selection of chinese, korean, and thai food. Good choices of meat, shrimp, veggies and noodles, also rice and nan bread for those curries. Came here for Thanksgiving dinner with our 2 students from Hong Kong and Korea. Great experience!!

I m sorry but I had the absolute worst Pad Thai I ve ever had from this place last night, the smell was unbearable and I had two bites then I had to take the food out of my hotel room. I don t know if it was because I was one of the last customers of the day but wow disgusting. I m sorry for the bad review but I will be avoiding this place.

Best food ever

Literally worst experience EVER at this restaurant. And I have had a few poor experiences here in Saint John. So, i stopped in quickly as I was getting my tires changed nearby and had 15 minutes to spare. This is my 1st time coming here, but I eat Pad Thai several other locations here in the city and love them all. I walked in and asked if they serve chicken pad Thai, in which I ordered. I am accustomed to being asked if I want spicy or not, but was not asked in this case. I get home, and its super spicy. So I try call and explain what happened, hoping they would understand and replace with mild or refund my money. This man decided to blame me for the mishap, and would not accept the mistake on their end. So, I decide to drive back to the eastside and talk in person. But, I was met by a ignorant old man who is stuck in Communist China days, who does not understand customer service. On top of all of this, I paid $15 for 4 small chicken strips that isnt real meat, and found a lime in the middle with Peel still on it. I ended up picking through it to at least salvage the chicken. I will never step foot in another Wok Box again.

I placed an order and got the wrong type of noddle as it was the waiter mistake who switch my order and my friend order I thought they we gonna replace it but they didnt owner of the restaurant was super rude I will never go there again.

So dissappointed. I got the butter chicken and it had the pressed simulated chicken. Had I known that it was not real fresh chicken I never would have purchased or ordered from here. I am pregnant and careful about what I eat. I spent 10 bucks to literally put in the garbage.

Charged me $36 for a dinner for one and a side order of dumplings which consisted of five dried out pieces of what they would call dumplings. Ordered the chow mein but it was wet and tasted more like wet noodles I would feed my children .Food is mediocre at best

Been here several times, staff is always very friendly and very helpful in choosing what is best for you, whether youre vegetarian, vegan or otherwise and they always make sure they get your order exactly right. Great for takeout or eat in (as every time I have been there it has been very clean). Good price for really good food.

Traveled all the way from North to East for a disappointing take out. Returned home only to realize that they missed out one of the dishes. Upon calling them to confirm they were not even apologetic and conveniently said they didnt bill it. Well, I would have known had they given me a receipt. The food, Teriyaki noodles and Pho were nothing to write home about.

I travel to saint john every 2 weeks for work. Wok box is my favorite lunch spot in town. I wish there was one in moncton. If you like asian food, you will like wok box

Small fast restaurant with a limited Asian and Indian menu. The Vietnamese Beef Pho is really good.

Fast casual Asian fusion style rice and noodle boxes. Tasty flavours that are light and not typical fast food. Good servings of proteins as well as veg. For a quick easy meal this is a good choice.
