Authentic foods....

Truly a little hidden gem. I have been to The Med on three occasions and every time, the service and food has been awesome. The two servers that have been there for all my visits are both so friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend!

Consistently perfect

Ive been totally in love with this place for a while now, our server was always polite and friendly and the food never disapoints. It also has such a homey and romantic atmosphere. Seafood alfedo and spanakopita is my go to!

The food is great. The service is great, but they seem to just keep taking things away. The classics came with soup, salad and a meal. It was a tiny salad, they simply eliminated it. Why? The food , while the portions shrunk, is not as good as even 2 years ago, my assumption is new owners probably. Its sad

I have been in this restaurant on multiple occasions, and every time is great. Good food, good and fast service! The Greek menu is very good.

When you make a reservation you shouldnt wait 15 to 20 minutes to be seated. Whats the since of a reservation. 15 minute wait to get your drink. Appetizer showed up just before our meal Meal wasnt hot and not very good. Havent been to this restaurant in a very long time and it will be a very long time before I go back. Might be nice if there was a little heat on in the building most of the people were still sitting and eating with there jackets on. Very poor dining experience

I tried Med a few times already so i had the opportunity to sample most of their menu and i can honestly say that i like everything. The food is quite authentic, the music and ambience are great, the staff is nice as service is fast. If you like Greek food the med restaurant is a must try. Get their grills combo or keftedes, its really something.

We were there for dinner and their food was deliciously prepared, didnt have time to take a pick. For starters we had the Greek fries, but you got to try them because my explanation will not do it justice. Then I ordered the lemon Greek chicken, there was so much food I had left overs next day, the service was excellent and we loved the atmosphere. Its rare to order kolokithokeftedes in Canada (zucchini fritters) that turn out just as good as they are in Greece. So soft, flavorful... And delicious. I was nervous seeing that this was the only Greek restaurant that came up on Google on my visit to Saint John... but it did not disappoint. The beefteki was tender, the potatoes lemony, the olive oil was for sure Greek...the service was great too. Euharisto Kai xristo anesti

I had the lamb sovlaki and my friend had the chicken sovlaki. Large portion with Greek salad, lemon potatoes and rice. Best tzatziki, better than mine! Great dinner, live music, some dancing and nice staff. Im looking forward to my next visit soon.

This was our first visit to The Med. Being from out of town, we were looking for something different from fast food and pubs. Find The Med and were NOT disappointed. Terrific service, delicious food and a great portion size. Would definitely visit here the next time were in Saint John.

So. For over 40 years, I have had sirloin tips for about 98% of the time. After seeing your pic of lasagna a few days ago, ( looked so good ) I decided to get the Lunch Lasagna and Soup for take-out for Bevs birthday and decided to try one myself and it was amazing. However, you have now made it very difficult to choose my next meal.. lol Decisions, decisions!! I may now have to get both, 1 for lunch and one for supper. Great meals

In a town where that is literally a little town if disappointments this is the absolute highlight. The food is so fresh and absolutely the most tasty that I have ever had in Saint John. Please don t just listen to me. The food , service, experience is amazing. Thanks because there is simply no where else in Saint John that can touch it.

Sauce on lamb was tasty and plentiful. Salad was fresh and airy. Parking: Ample places for vehicles during daytime. Not sure of peak / seasonal events Wheelchair accessibility: Grade level entrance. Non carpeted flooring.

I started with the Spinach Dip, it was spectacular. I then ordered the Chef s Choice: Greek Sampler Plate which had a variety of authentic Greek food. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious lemon potatoes, they nearly melted in your mouth. The chicken souvlaki was delicious, especially accompanied by the tzatziki. The stuffed tomato was something I ve never tried but quite enjoyed. The server was quick and knowledgeable about what she was serving us. The ambiance fit very well with a Greek theme as well.

The Mediterranean are one time was our favorite place, but very dissatisfied with our New years supper tonight. I ordered the tenderloin tips as I always do. I had to discretely spit them back onto my plate because it was impossible for me to chew it. My waitress did not show up again until it was time to present us with a bill, never stopped to ask if all was good or even to offer more water. The bill was $50, and not able to eat it. Super to touch and very stringey.

I dont go to the Med as often as I should, but every time I do, Im reminded of the great staff, great service, and the great food. The sirloin tips are a favorite, as is the Greek lemon chicken. I went there with a large party on the weekend. I was dressed in jeans and a sweater, my brother had just got off work and didnt have time to change and he showed up in his greasy work overalls. Our server still treated us like royalty.

Birthdays are not celebrated there anymore.

I am Celiac and ordered sirloin tips. I could not eat it as there was absolutely no taste to the dish as verified by my husband who is not celiac. I had the same dish about six months ago and it was the same but I thought it was a one off and didnt say anything. This time I did speak up but no response except to say they were sorry I didnt like it. I will not be returning.

2 stars because I imagine the food is pretty good (rave reviews from my husband). If a menu item has a major ingredient in it ie. bacon, please included it on the menu. Also the appropriate response to someone who calls because they have ordered takeout and can t eat it through no fault of their own, should not be rudeness and next time ask for no bacon . Minus 1 star each for rude staff, time wasted and money wasted. 2 stars for whatever my husband ate last time that he enjoyed and the side Greek salad that I guess is dinner. Update: 1 star. Said Greek salad contains one halved cherry tomato and one slice of cucumber, I kid you not

Husband and I decided to try Med for supper. Had not been here in years. We both ordered tenderloin tips. Waitress brought out soup after we ordered. Guess neither of us paid attention to details as we didnt realize soup was included with 2 slices of delicious bread. We ate a small amount of soup as we figured it would fill us up. Soup was delicious though. Tenderloin tip meal was huge and delicious. We had to get a doggy bag as we couldnt it it all. We both passed on tea & coffee , passed on dessert as well that was included as we figured we would have to be rolled out the door!! Great service from waitresses

I took my friend there as a thank you for a kindness. There was not much on the menu that appealed to me. I ended up getting lesangua . There really should be a warning listed of how hot it can be. I have ulcers and I suffered the rest of the day and the next day as well. For some strange reason it also had cinnamon in it. It was terrible !. I only ate a out a third of it, I was in agony!. The waitress brought me a glass of milk.it did help . I was shocked to see I was charged full price for it. Half would have been fairer. Anyway, it will be my last visit. A wide varied menu of traditional Greek and non-greek dishes. All of the dishes we have tried have been great, from the roasted chicken to the souvlaki wraps. Be sure not to miss their Greek roasted lemon potatoes, they are done the right way and are personal favourites.

Great menu with classic greek cuisine along with traditional Canadian dishes. Nice atmosphere and excellent service.

Beautiful Ceaser Salad with Boneless Chicken. Sauce is homemade and one of my favorites. The waiting for food was a little extra long but my Freinds ordered Greek Dishes that seemed to have taken longer to get ready. The service was excellent.

Love this restaurant.....Ive only had the pad thai. Everything looks amazing. My kids love the Med burger. Staff are all super friendly and make it a fun time to dine! Parking: Lots of parking. The driveway is at a set of lights, which makes getting back in traffic a breeze. Kid-friendliness: I have older kids, but I would definitely have brought them here when they were younger. The waitresses are so great with kids....that Ive witnessed the last two times I was there.

Disappointed in this place. The restaurant was COLD . I complained to the host when we were seated and she said I know! Then I looked around and everyone in the restaurant was wearing a jacket. Then when the waitress took our order I said its cold in here look everyone ones wearing a jacket she said I know! I complained one more time to another waitress and same answer, I know!!!!!! Dinner took 45 mins for our order to get to our table. Great 45 mins of freezing. To get the meal and it really was a very poor interpretation of Mediterranean food. The 2 waitress and host could not get the heat turned up wow that means it came from management. No heat. I will never eat here again and you should avoid it as well. The design of the place is lacking looks like it has not changed I decades. Big open floor plan if thats what you like. But definitely not much imagination went into this place.

This restaurant is always a go to for my family and I. Service is always friendly, food is delicious and many options to choose from. Although not a regular menu item, tonight my partner and I had the turkey dinner special and left extremely full and happy. Would recommend.

The particular service I got from one staff was too bad, ordered soup but forgot to serve and while asking for plain water without ice, the staff was so irritated and never put much attention. I ve visited multiple times, food is always great, but my last visit the service we received was horrendous. Maybe because of we are coloured people or maybe not. I would recommend anyone to visit the place and expect they will have great time together. Just the management of the restaurant, you people sell good gesture, smile, and creat memories, but not foods

Disappointed. Went to the Med as a family gathering for my Uncle s birthday. While we had a nice time seeing each other, it is wasn t without issues. Firstly, It wasn t packed but was steady. That still does NOT excuse what I m about to mention. We ordered our food at 6:20. The meals did not arrive on our table until 8:00 on the dot. One hour and 40 minute wait. Inexcusable. My wife and I have a 10 month old. The food took so long that we, and another relative with her children, had to immediately tell the waitress to bring us to go containers because with our young children there was no way we could stay there longer than we were. So, because of the wait, we didn t even get to eat our order until we got home and got our baby settled and into bed for the night. On top of that mine, my grandmother and my aunt s orders were wrong. I never like to completely bash a place without giving some positives so I will mention that the place was very clean and our waitress was extremely nice. She was fantastic. She was very nice to us, polite and apologetic for the delays. She deserves a lot of praise.

I am not able to eat rice or potatoes, which are the side dishes to almost every entree. I asked if I could substitute these for a salad and was told no Id have to buy a salad seperately. So Id basically be paying full price for a dish Im only getting half of, then having to pay extra for a side I can actually eat.... not impressed.

The Med (local nickname) has a huge menu. Every item isnt for everyone but once you find your comfort zone and try the Greek cake youll be hooked. Take out is great too!

Our server was phenomenal. She was funny, patient and tuned in to our needs. Food as always was great. My only complaint, but purely selfish as I am gluten intolerant, is that they only have a couple gluten free options on the menu; it would be great to see gluten free options for breads as well as gluten free French fries. Otherwise this place is amazing. Make sure you make a reservation prior to going, especially on the weekend.

The Greek fries are to die for..

First time here and we had a delicious lunch! We were started with toasted loaf with olive oil and balsamic. Great flavors! He had chicken parm with rice. The chicken was so tender and the sauce beautiful. I had the Greek Trio - zucchini patty, stuffed tomato and spankopita with Greek salad. The trio comes with home made tzaziki which was so tasty be bought a container to take home. Nice ambiance and quiet music for an intimate meal.

Its really difficult to find good dining places serving other than the regular pub cuisine. The Mediterranean located at Rothesay Ave is a breath of fresh air. They have an elaborate Greek menu with some lip-smacking dishes. I made a reservation for a team lunch and they did not disappoint. The food was served on time with a great taste. The staff and servers were impeccable and very warm and welcoming. They followed all covid protocols too. This is a must try and visit again kinda place. Highly recommended.

Great lunch experience. Its been a long time since we were here but the food and the friendly staff never disappoint . I had the Greek Trio with a side of salad and was pleased. The service was prompt and the food was hot. We will be back the next time we are in the city. The lunch specials are generous and priced just right. Well done Med!

Probably one of the oldest restaurants in Saint John. Always good food. Always great service. Always reasonable prices. If you are local and have not eaten here, you are missing out. Update! Got back to the Mediterranean for another meal. The remodel is amazing, as was the meal. A new addition is the retail outlet and take out counter. A great selection of many of the amazing sauces and desserts to add to your own culinary activities. Our waitress took us for a tour and showed us many of the items that were used in our meals. Always amazing service!
