Kind of a mixed review here. Good service and prices, a busy and lively atmosphere, however it can get loud. As for the food, its alright. I tried the linguine di mare which was ok, their garlic bread is yummy, Cesar and garden salads are good, soups are good, the fried gnocchi are very good. They have many specials such as the all you can eat pasta night for only 19.99 which I got and I have to be honest, it wasnt good, and we could only pick 1 pasta out of the four options listed which you have to stick to it for the entire meal. The pasta tasted old and had a weird texture, sauces were bland. They also have a pizza night, kids night, etc. The desserts were ok, but to be fair, I dont have much of a sweet tooth. There are so many menu items I have yet to try so Im sure there are tons of delicious foods here, but this has been my experience so far! This Place is PHENOMINAL !! The Waitress We Had was Fast, Efficient, Helpful, Pleasent and Attentive. The Wife and I Decided to eat here after some shopping. I had the Sampler with Lasagna ,Chicken Parm and Fettuccine Alfredo !!! With by far the best Cesar Salad Ever and that Garlic home loaf....No Vampires will Come near me for awhile everything was So friggin Delicious. Wifey had the Mushroom Gnocchi ( hope i spelled it right ) she Devoured it ( Which Means it was Scumptous ) . The Best Service & Food weve had from East Side Marios . It was a Memorable experience. Worst meal Ive ever paid for. Got takeout. The hot pasta was served in a plastic container...so the plastic chemicals can leech into the food. Pasta was disgusting. The cheesecake was warm and soggy and only got 2 tablespoons worth.

Went to ESM with another couple and had a great experience. Safe was our waiter and he came to our table promptly to get drink and food orders. He checked on us several times. The food was excellent and Safe made sure we had everything we needed. Vegetarian options: I was the only vegan...I had the Arrabbiata build your own pasta with roasted veg and it was delicious!

I go to this East Side Mario all the time if not every week it would be every second week anyway the food was good as always the service was terrible my server name was April and she was terrible service and she was not nice and didn t make me feel welcome to even eat I felt very uncomfortable to be there and she was one of the most slow service I ever have. Now question if I want to come back or not

Was a busy night, they were refusing guests as the kitchen couldnt keep up. Service was excellent but food was horrendous! We were offered a discount for waiting too long, but we would have had same discount anyway with our CAA card. My meal was bacon wrapped scallops ( burnt) sent it back...replacement was not much better. We drove an hour to dine here! We wont likely be back. Disappointed

Always dine in but this time we did take out. You get much less food in take out for the same price. Youre suppose to get a soup or salad as a side but they said no and didnt offer it in the first place. I now have a sour taste in my mouth not pleased. Not sure if Ill be back especially not for take out. Arnt you suppose to use your scene card there?

We were the first customers IN on Saturday March 30th 2024 our waitress Megan was awesome we waited quite the time for our meal as I saw several others getting their orders before us as we were the first to order we ordered the Sampler Pasta Package. Food Presentation was terrific. Our Chicken Parmigiana was very small and thin Extremely over cooked The Fettuccini Alfredo was terrible. It was bland no flavor at all The lasagna had no noodles EXTRREMLY DISSAPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF FOOD its not like the old days everything was awesome Chk # 1821 Tbl 22/1

DISGUSTING consumer service. All staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. Zero understanding of how to deal with people and how to be nice and respectful, no smile literally made us feel like we were begging to be their guest, you can turn away people but you can do it nicely. Your entire jobs rely on customer satisfaction on all ends. Because of this experience we will never be trying this restaurant. Do better.

We love to come here with our two kids on Sundays...kind of trying to avoid the crowd however it is always busy. Staff always very attentive and fast. Our server Ellis is amazing!! Always positive, friendly, charming and our favorite!! Our kids love it here!!

Dude this place is the best

Hostess was very unfriendly and never made eye contact. We asked for a booth and she said they re all dirty or full. I m only one person We could clearly see 7 empty booths. She took us to a table she just wiped and there was literally a pile of dirt that had been swept under my chair. The table was soaked. Our app plates were soaked. Our server Cheryl was nice. The food came in a timely manner. The butter with the bread roll was cold and unflavoured . My daughter s pasta was cold and the chicken full of gristle. My pasta did not say spicy on the menu but was so spicy I couldn t eat it .

Staff was eating from a common plate in the middle of the dining room. Most staff eating fries from this 1 plate, walking, eating and shoving food in their face as they were cleaning tables. Hostess didnt look like she wanted to be there, she looked very lazy. They also had a robot strolling around to sing Happy Birthday, save the money on a robot and lower your priced. Our waitress was great, food was good.

I feel like this is a skewed review. But, we went here tonight for dinner. December 31, 2023. The atmosphere was clearly, here is your food, get out. We ordered an appetizer, it never came, we got one loaf of bread, and my glass was empty for 3 quarters of the meal. The food was okay, we eat, but I left unsatisfied. I called, they apologized and blamed the entire concern on reservations. We were there around a quarter to eight, the place was by no means busy. I hate it was such a poor experience. I think we ll go elsewhere in the future. I know they don t care. Update: I reached out to the number provided. Someone called, but I missed the call. Called this person back twice. No response, no call back, nothing. Seriously, they do not care. Makes me wonder if they don t care about their customers, do they care about their food standards?

A great place to bring the kids. Great variety on the menu and food is consistently as expected. Getting the salad delivered early before the main course is a challenge they dont seem to understand that the customer would like the soup or salad ahead of the entrée. Not a big deal however I would like to receive my salad when I order it so I could enjoy it while waiting for my entrée. Wait staff are generally top notch no issues, however at times the staff that greet you at the door and seat you could be more welcoming. They took our order, after waiting 20 minutes over the estimated wait time we called to check on our order as I am having surgery the next day and need to eat before a certain time. We were told it got cancelled, and we were never contacted! After being on hold for 15 minutes to talk to a manager, they then claimed an order was never placed, then that it was placed in Saint Johns Newfoundland, then that she took the order herself and that it had been picked up, when we had ordered delivery.

7 of us went in to celebrate a birthday...our server was great..and I need to give a shout out to your manager Virginia who was so lovely.. nothing happened that we needed her but she made sure she checked in with us to see if we needed anything, and if everything was going good. I didnt catch the servers name but he was great as well.. It was so nice to see Virginia join her team in singing to the birthday girl the east side mario way.We very much enjoyed ourselves.. experience, food and service are a 10/ 10. We cant wait to go back.

We had a booth by the window. The greeting was overall friendly, and happy atmosphere. Food: Starter was the spicy calamari which was 50% off due to the time. We wouldn t have liked it at the regular price as the calamari was over cooked, soggy and too oily; didn t have enough sautéed veggies. Hell s Kitchen chicken was good but the sauce was a bit too salty and the veggies absorbed that. The potatoes were PERFECT. The veggies were okay, however, the zucchini was soggy/mushy and shouldn t have been served. Grilled Chicken Milano The Chicken was crispy and the potatoes too. The same veggies were unflavoured and zucchini soggy. cucumber salad would have been better. The pesto sauce overpowered the meal and made the potatoes soggy. Went to your shop for my birthday yesterday. Ordered lunch. Three people at table get their meals. I had to wait 5 more minutes to get my meal. The chicken sandwich. Never saw another waitress until they were clearing the table. Told her the food was not good. No dressing on the salad and the sandwich was processed chicken with tasteless tomato and couldnt even taste the bacon that was supposed to be on it. She asked why I didnt complain. I advised her that nobody came to the table. She basically called me a liar and claimed she had been back twice. I asked around the table and nobody remembered her coming back. Was completely disappointed with the service and insulted by her flat out lie about the service. She gave me a coupon for a free desert if I come back. Any other place in town would have given me a free dessert because of it being my birthday, but that was not offered. Needless to say, I am considering posting this on social media due to the lack of service by that waitress. I wasted a $50.00 gift card from my son and she spoiled my birthday treat by being so rude.

The grilled chicken was undercooked, and some of the dishes were too salty. Also, the chicken wings were too much oily. Service and atmosphere were comparatively good.

I had eaten half before I remembered to take picture. This is now my favorite dish but it comes with a WARNING DO NOT ORDER IF YOU DO NOT LIKE HEAT !!!!! I DO and even I had water and a pop close. It has a Cherry Bomb Pepper(Whole) in it. DO NOT EAT you can but I never will!! 10/10 for me!!!!.

The server, Alec, was very friendly and sociable. The restuarant is one of the better East Side Marios Ive been to, and I will reccomend this place to friends.

This place is trash..... The restaurant is extremely dirty with food all over the floor, booth seats stained and marked up, finger prints all over the glass. The food is even worse, build your own pasta consists of noodles a generic sauce and 3 tiny shrimp, no garnesh or spices. The soup and salad was advertised as $5.99 but when the bill came it was $13.99. Chicken finger and fries were cold with soggy french fries, when asked for a dipping sauce it took the almost 10 minutes to deliver. Very dissatisfied with the Saint John NB location. Save your money and go elsewhere. If this were a chain on the USA it would be out of buisness by months end.

It started off good at frist but then we ordered our drinks and got dif ones and then we were ordering our supper and we got mottsa sticks, 15 mins later he walks out and says they dont have mottsa sticks, who dosnt have mottsa sticks.. the food was pretty good tho.

Took my family for my mothers birthday dinner. The experience was exceptional!!! (To say the least) both Johnny (our waiter) and the gentleman, Robert at the front, were so kind. Hands down the best night out because we were so well catered to and the food was sooooooo yummy and hot. A++ all around. We will be back! Parking: Parking was easy. It was raining so I dropped my parents off at the door. Robert (i think he is the greeter) was there and held the door for my disabled father and assisted him in to our seats. Exquisite service.

Decent place in a pinch. Used to be a lot better.

Service was fast and friendly. Family-sized mozza sticks to start (gooey goodness), spinach pizza for the kiddos and the Mrs, and a calzone for myself all cooked to perfection and nothing left over. Our server kept our soda and water topped up and who can forget scanning the qr code for the bonus of winning a possible pizza oven . Great job staff and managers.

First time here...it was awesome! Our server, Virginia was the very best! She didnt even have to write down our orders 3 of us). She was friendly and so helpful, regarding one of us having seafood allergies. Excellent atmosphere, fantastic meal and great prices!

Just wondering where my rose sauce is at on my pasta. Ordered through an app Doordash. No sauce on the pasta at all just chunks of tomato, noodles could of been cooked a bit better and the tiny pieces of chicken really filled me up. At this point a frozen store bought would of been way better and cheaper. Soup was good and the garlic bread was the best part of it but not enough for me. I wont be back there again.

We were a large group of 15 and we had a great experience. The service was top notch and our waitress (Megan) was awesome. The place was packed but the service was fast and the food was great.

While the server was very nice, I have to say the food tasted like frozen food that had been heated up. The garlic loaf was luke warm when it arrived. The chicken in the chicken parm was a little over cooked and the entire dish was sauce heavy with a totally forgettable sauce. I will acknowledge that chain restaurants need to ensure their dishes are consistent but in this case sadly it seemed to resulted in a sub par result.

I don t typically write reviews, but I am so disappointed in this place .food was bland and tasteless. And we ordered very simple meals. Even the garlic bread was mediocre. Seems like many of these places are now hiring kids, who could care less about quality. Won t be back.

I ordered food from this restaurant through DoorDash recently, but I was disappointed with the poor food quality. They didnt include butter cups for the bread, and my order of cheesecake was missing whipping cream and caramel sauce. Given the high cost of their food, its disappointing to see them compromise on their food service. Its simply not worth it.

Visited this location before and have had wonderful experiences but this last time was the worst The waiter was not friendly at all. We ordered our meals with AYCE soup and bread. He brought our first servings of ayce and then ignored us for a while. After a while we had to ask to get more soup and bread (where before they asked us or brought us more). Came with our soup and slammed it down it almost spilled everywhere. He asked if we wanted cheese on our soup and when we said yes he seemed annoyed and left to go get the cheese grater. When he grated the cheese it was so aggressive that cheese kept falling into my lap as he was grating. When we were still eating he asked us if we were going to get dessert or if we were ready for the bill we told him we weren t finished yet and would like some more All you can eat soup. Why do they call it AYCE if they don t let you eat all you can eat? During our entire meal we never once got a refill on our waters. We felt very rushed and ignored

Service was amazing, our server had an amazing memory and was very prompt. Food was good, but I found the chicken Alfredo to be lacking in flavour, which Alfredo isnt the most flavourful thing in the world but still was a little bland, everything else was wonderful though. My only issue is the tables are way too small for more than 2 people, the plates were very large and there wasnt a lot of space for 4 dishes and 4 drinks let alone the signs also on the tables.

If I could give less than a star, I would. Service was terrible! Took forever to be seated, waitress rarely visited the table and had to go find another waiter to even get our bill. Restaurant wasnt even busy, 15 tables tops but lots of staff. The robot that brought the food to the table provided better service, atleast it played music!

I tried East Side Marios a few times over the last few month and its been a great experience every single time. Food was always great and the drinks too. This time we tried the sea food linguini and the chicken sammy and they didnt disappoint. The seafood linguini is usually done with white sauce but they do it with tomato sauce and i liked it better this way. Great food at reasonable prices, try them out! Very expensive for what little you get. I had dropped into the restaurant several hrs before to make the order. When I went back to pick it up at the scheduled time the order was not ready, nor did they have any idea what I was talking about. They eventually found it, came up with some excuse and I ended up waiting for 30 min for an order I had made hrs prior. Not impressed at all. As for the food, not great, not even really good. Our teenage boys barely touched it. Thats saying something.

Vegetarian options: Didn t like the food at all.

My server Nicole was fantastic! She was friendly and efficient. She even entertained all my picky requests, through all this, she remained smiling and professional. I know Im alot to handle in a restaurant, kudos to her! Solid 10 for service, and the food was also amazing!

Great place and great, our waiter was a Colombian guy Jhony, he took the service to another level!! Amazing place definetly a must go!!!

The food was terrible, the lettuce had a rotten taste . The wrap I ordered was not good at all .The chicken tasted like it was cooked the day before. The service was terrible, she didnt even check to see if everything was okay if she had of ,the salad and wrap could have been replaced.

Short of staff maybe, but we had to wait for refills of drinks and salad.

Had a fantastic meal with my family. Everything came out fast and piping hot the chicken Parm is my favorite. Our gracious hostess savannah greeted us at the door and took us to our table Our server April was fantastic and attentive she took care of all our needs what a delight to be served by such a wonderful woman with definitely be back.
