National and international travelers alike, welcome to this splendid setting and warm hunting and fishing lodge atmosphere. Forget the hustle and bustle of the airport, and make way for a vacation with a cold beer in hand. A destination in itself, you won't want to miss this stopover.
Good portion size on the poutine still full 4 hours later Would have liked the fries to have been a bit more crisp as even the ones without gravy were a little soft and for the gravy to have been hotter in temperature. Service was insanely fast. Tables turned an cleaned in an instant. We had our drinks and food in a very timely manner and also they do take allergies very seriously as a separate food runner came for my wifes dish to make sure there wasn't any cross contamination.
I stop here every time I'm at YUL. I wish other airports would have places like this. Great food and beer.
I ordered the Linguine Prosciutto, and it arrived so fast that I wasn't ready to eat when it arrived. The service was great, despite how busy they were, and the Linguine was delicious. I'll happily eat here the next time I'm flying through YUL.
We are here waiting for a flight. Had the Archibald burger and it was an ok burger but expensive for what you get. The patty was super thin and for the price they charge, there should have been 2 patties or a thicker one. No value here. Taste was ok but the burger itself wasn’t even hot. I would say to skip this place. Better yet, bring your own snacks as the concessions at the airport just don’t deliver. The good part is the service was excellent
We often eat dinner at Archibald when we fly internationally and the food / service is always good. Our waiter this time was exceptionally nice so kudos to the owners for hiring such a great team.
This was quite possibly the saddest smoked meat sandwich I’ve ever had in Montreal. The bread was supermarket mass-produced light rye. The meat was actually sliced pastrami, also from the supermarket. The coleslaw? Bagged coleslaw mix from the supermarket. The fries? Frozen McCain fries from the supermarket. I will try to say something nice. The fries weren’t greasy, and the beer was excellent. We ordered a glass of the bock. My kid’s fish and chips was also lacklustre. But the poutine looked and tasted pretty good. Just don’t get the Montreal smoked meat here ever.
The service was quick and efficient, making it perfect for travelers on tight schedules. The food was convenient and satisfactory, exactly what you need when you’re in a hurry. Overall, a reliable option for a quick bite before your flight.
The food was very tasty. Initially, I ordered the calamari, but the portion received was very small, and when I enquired of my server, she went and got me a freshly prepared replacement. They will always do their best to make you feel welcome. A fantastic spot to chill and eat while you await your flight.
Everything is on top
Enjoyed a relatively quick breakfast.
Delicious fish and chips. The server is top notch! I recommend.
Nice place, the waitress was very nice, friendly smiling
Food good, waiter not smiling, pours coffee too quickly so it spills on the table and when we ask a question we disturb him
Very good. Fast service.
Good food and service.
This place is so good.. A perfect spot to enjoy a connection in style and comfort!
Yun is the best server!! He is so friendly. Food was good. Highly recommend!
I had the prosciutto pizza and a lager beer for dinner and unfortunately the meal was not great. The pizza was too salty, with too much cheese and prosciutto and the beer was overpriced at $14 dollars for 20oz pint. The service was great and attentive but sadly the meal was a bit disappointing. Overall my meal was over ~$50 including tip for myself.
Excellent fresh salad with hummus and chicken
It s okay. It s at the Montreal airport which automatically costs it a star (hate that airport) but overall it s one of the better options on the domestic side
Hello everyone, I loved it. Kind regards, Michel
Situated conveniently in the airport. Food quality was typical bar food. Pricey for small portions. Super busy, long line up. Wide assortment of food and beer for all ages and interest. Enjoyed the visit. Staff looked overworked and short handed, but still got the job done all things considered. Was here for a stopover. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators and ramps everywhere
Very expensive bar food. Breakfast only to 10am, very bad idea in an airport. Food
Decent burger for an airport restaurant. Food came fast, hot and fresh. Service was ok. My server was rather short with their attitude and seemed to check on the other tables more than mine.
So sorry, my initial review was for another restaurant that I must have posted here. We did dine at this restaurant in the Montreal Airport and it was an excellent meal. Quick service and the server was very good.
A real restaurant in the airport! A very good BLT sandwich, a tasty burger, a brownie with ice cream sandwich: a delight. Its nice. ;-)
Nice place
$80CDN for 3 beer and a shared poutine. Not good value in my opinion. The poutine portion was extremely small.
This might have just been some of the best chicken I have ever had in my entire life. The popcorn chicken melted in my mouth, the workers are so nice, and it is so cozy inside. I m so glad I kept looking around for a restaurant, thank you for providing an amazing experience.
Great food - comes out quick and hot.
Great aesthetic and canadienne cabin design. Roaring fireplace. Nice juicy burgers. Quick service. Exceptional selection of beers to choose from. Delicious blueberry cheesecake. Food
Decent food. I got the Archibald Burger and Pilser. While both tasted great, $50 for a burger and beer is quite steep.
Excellent restaurant to taste Poutine in different ways and hamburgers and different beers
Much too long to serve,
Very good for an airport restaurant bar. Its a shame, however, that it closes so early in the evening.
Very noisy and expensive, a 5 dollar cappuccino in Cuba, that questioned, Slow service, server not very available
Located inside Montreals Louis Troudeau airport, this splendid venue serves high-quality home-brewed beers, as well as a wide variety of other very good brands. The food is also good. The waiter originally from Vancouver is friendly but professional. High prices, typical of airports. Dietary restrictions: You can find a bit of everything, even for the most demanding.
Not punctual with closing time. Closes 8:15, 9am on google.
Small Nacho and too expensive.
Efficient and fast. Poutine is worth the short break to devour it!
The server Gabriel was excellent. Great BBQ chicken pizza.
We were in the beautiful Célinie section. We received impeccable service. The food was excellent. We loved our experience. Georges attentiveness was a plus to our experience. See you soon :)
A big thank you to Sarah M, very good service and great care for our family
The goat cheese burger was good.
Veggie mushroom omelette Cheddar cheese 2/5 no fruit, plain presentation Potatoes overcooked and lukewarm 2/5 White bread, no butter and not tender 2/5 1 egg turned 2/5 very small not much egg yolk Fast and courteous service 5/5 Ordinary atmosphere 2/5
A must stop when flying, we could really use one around montreal south shore Edit : still none on the southshore, still as good as usual, but only once a year when im flying Food : 5/5
To know
Best food Ive ever ate at an airport.
Waitress at the bar is great
Excellent experience before taking the return flight to Nantes
We ate very well our server was pleasant and very kind Extra beef cheek not hot enough for my taste but very good The flank steak and extra fries too We had a pleasant time before a fairly long flight to repeat.
Breakfast poutine is delicious at okay price for airport But the archibald burger has no taste to it, fade patty and condiments, at an exhorbiting price for flat beer , it feel they went dry in 58$ for 1 pint and burger ouch Food : 3/5
Fast, efficient and dynamic waitress! wow! a success after travel for me and my girlfriend
Still so good! Excellent service and above all very fast from Mélissa. A necessary passage at the Montreal airport. Favorite for the Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Pizza and a little MaTante from Archibald
Great place
Very good service!!
Excellent service from Jose! Sangria Archibald is just WOW, fruity but quite alcoholic, the nachos as a starter offered by the waiter were hot and excellent. What can we say about the shrimp tacos perfectly seasoned. My partner had the Juicy IPA, I quote: INCREDIBLE, FANTASTIC, YUM IN SHORT, it s more than a stop, it s an experience!!! I recommend 100%
A great time, a nice welcome and good tasting advice before our flight!
Came here to have some food because we got our flight delayed by 5+ hours. The food was great and I really enjoyed the service. The servers made me feel a lot better about my delay and told me some stories too!
I loved discovering this restaurant in the Airport. I am both celiac and vegetarian. The Manager went above and beyond presenting my delicious pasta dish. Exactly what I needed on my layover! Dietary restrictions: Celiac and vegetarian
Too much expensive
Went there for breakfast Lunch was good Could use a little more meat, but taste pretty good Food : 5/5
The burger was cold and the sauces had nothing to do with what s in the description, they mixed some new fries with old fries in the place and the salad seemed like it was sitting there since yesterday! Very disappointed
Charismas the beers at their location at the Montreal airport
Reasonable prices on beer and food, a young crowd mingles with the service staff. Great atmosphere.
Fast service
The server had a problem with me paying my bill in full and not tipping him. He chose to address me infront of other customers which I feel is quite rude and of course embarrassing, its as if i refused to pay for the items i ordered or tried to run off on my bill (which was not the case). Is type of behavior condoned by the owner/manager?
Front door not found, just windows. Completely INACCESSIBLE.
I don t expect gourmet when I travel but $24 for a boil in bag (not hand sliced) smoked meat sandwich?!! With a tablespoon of lightly vinegared cabbage to pass as coleslaw First time I ve ever had a smoked meat sandwich where there was more bread than meat. Not good enough! Do better.
Best restaurant at YUL Airport, period.
Always great food and service
Impeccable service and delicious food!
I advise against it. I had the poutine with pulled beef before leaving on vacation. The meal was room temperature and the taste was not good either. I should have returned it but I didnt want to waste time. I should have known, but I got food poisoning, which ruined my first 5 days of vacation. However, I have had good experiences at other Archibalds in Montreal, but avoid this one... they perhaps go a little too quickly to serve and do not ensure the cooking and quality of the dishes.
Excellent and comfortable place to eat at the airport. The attention is friendly and fast. I ordered a burger and it was delicious.
Great fries. Thanks to Virginie. Top notch service. Kid-friendliness: Great childrens menu
Archibald has become a must for my pre-flight meals when going to Europe. Today was a classic example of their amazing service. I sat down quickly after arriving, didnt need the menu as I already knew what I wanted to eat. In the time I got my charger out of my backpack, Elsa, my tables waitress, came to see me. I gave her my order and asked if I could pay before getting the order. She came back with the bill 2 minutes after, and ~5 minutes after that I had my plate in front of me, with the condiments and drink I had requested. So, in less than 10 minutes from arriving, I had my food in front of me and the bill was taken care of. Then, I calmly enjoyed my food, and left around 30 minutes after arriving. During that time, Elsa came back to ask how everything was and kept tabs on my table. The service was genuine, as it was great before and after having paid the bill early, no matter if I had already given the tip. By the way, their Archibald Burger is awesome, and very fairly priced for the quality given were at an airport. Definitely recommend; Ill definitely keep coming! Thanks Elsa for the great service!
Its expensive in... For what it is! Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible wheelchair
Great service, very attentive and courteous, the manager took care of my food allergy expertly!! An example to follow. I will return with confidence. THANKS A little problem that annoyed all the customers, an airport alarm sounded for a while... far too long... But restaurant no.1
Very good breakfast, and my waiter was very attentive. The fresh fruit was excellent and the eggs Benedict was very good.
Beer menu has no prices. What a total scam. Shameful
Too expensive
We had dinner there while waiting for our connecting flight. The employees are super friendly and very helpful. The service is very fast and the food is excellent. I recommend this place.
Fast service and good follow-up for mentions of allergies with the kitchen and even with the server.
In the airport so price was a bit higher but expected $$, service was excellent and my pizza was so good I ordered one to go for supper
An essential pre-departure drink/food at the airport to start your vacation off right....
This restaurant was amazing! Food was unreal, staff was such a great vibe and the atmosphere was amazing! I recommend 100%
Poutine with smoked meat
This is the second time Ive eaten here before leaving on a trip. Its 100 times better to have a good lunch here than an overpriced sandwich at the other kiosks. Great service, they listen. Unlimited coffee with the meal!
In the Montreal airport, very nice while waiting for our connection
Wow...this was hands down the best airport restaurant I have been at. The Salmon was cooked to perfection.
After more than 15 years, we continue to come to this restaurant as a ritual Each time the service is HAPPILY always very good, thanks to superb Sarah!!! Every time we ask for plant-based milk Every time THERE IS NONE I am confirmed that the REQUEST is there but??? The gluten-free bread that I take every time is probably the worst on the market... Each time, I invite you to taste what you buy and try another brand... There have been some very good ones for a decade... At least I was able to have lunch!!!! The other 3 members of my family do not have intolerances fortunately This comment is intended to be constructive!!!! Good gluten-free bread exists! Plant milk, you will sell it for sure! Thank you for your attention!
Truly a nice surprise. I ve gone a couple of time and the food is great, the staff is really nice and prices are reasonable for an airport restaurant. Even the atmosphere is great (close to forget you re at the airport). Definitely a nice break before jumping in a plane. Food
Went there to eat a burger and fries before my flight and had some work to finish on my laptop. The server was good but was very rushed. She asked if I needed anything else I said no I was just finishing some work. She brings the bill and I settled up then she came back after and asked if I needed anything again. I told her I was just fishing some work. After I paid her attitude changed and then came back and asked me if I could please leave because it was starting to get busy. I told her I d be a couple minutes as I had a flight to catch and needed to finish some work before my flight. I also looked around and there were many empty seats and the lady next to me was there working for just as long as me and the server did not say anything to her. Food was good but I felt very rushed, and I ve never been asked to leave a restaurant before.
Quality/price, terrible terrible terrible.
The absolute best fish and chips I had in Canada. Period. Went with my wife and 2 years old. Kids friendly. Smoked meat was ok. Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs
Best food ever for an airport. Good personnal.
Super service
Very good brasserie where you can eat and have a drink before the international area of the airport. Despite the crowds, everything is managed perfectly and the queue goes by quickly.
Drinks are over expensive and old fashion washed in ice and water plus, extra small. Food was ok but for the price you dont get what you would expect.
Great place in the Montreal airport. Ive been here a couple of times during layovers. Good food and drinks - served relatively fast as well, which is great since most people dont have a lengthy stay in this area. (wait staff also ask you to confirm your boarding time isnt less than 45 minutes prior to seating you). Would recommend & go back again.
My pace to go when I have enough time between connection. Montreal smoke meat for me it is but also plenty of other options service is fast.
Being a tourist, the waiter saw us arrive, 2 cans of cider billed at 28 dollars instead of 14, we told him that we had seen 7 dollars noted, he told us that it was the degrees, theft, unacceptable
Charged 28dollars for 2 cans of cider, noted that the can was displayed at 7dollards, the waiter replied that it was the degree of alcohol, he took us for idiots, quite simply theft after checking on their well-rated site 7 dollars per can, watch your tickets and prices
Would go to again. And again.
Eat well for lunch
Just a coffee but well received
Its certainly not the fault of the staff, its always overwhelmed, but the service is fast and smiling despite everything. The food, well, its just OK... Im not telling anyone, its rather expensive, but the portions are still generous
Impeccable service. Very disappointed that there is no plant-based milk option, especially in a branch at the airport.
Excellent blonde ales.
Burger was not prepared on order. Patty was cold on arrival. Tasteless and no texture.
Way above average airport experience. Good breakfast and great service with totally standard non airport pricing. Would def recommend!
Didnt eat just had drinks about 7 drinks in all between two of us
Can t speak for the food, but great variety of beer and drinks. Loved the Valkyrie beer , very reasonable priced for a 35 ounce mug. Service and atmosphere was great and energetic. Perfect place to stop before a flight.
The reviews are true, the food and service are superior to any other airport restaurant I ve been to. I had the smoked meat sandwich which came with fries, coleslaw and a pickle for good measure! The beers on tap were $13/pint for anyone reading as it s difficult to find pricing. The staff were so kind and attentive but not at all pushy. I said to one of them, I feel at home here and she genuinely replied with a warm smile and thank you. The manager, Paul was also great to chat with and I had a nice conversation with him. I highly recommend this restaurant to other local guides looking for a bite to eat. I wish they were open a little later but this could be due to airport regulations.
Very good kitchen and dining room which makes you forget that you are in an airport. The only downside is that the beer is really too expensive, especially for a microbrewery ($11 for 25 cl of blond beer....)
Perfect for a dinner before leaving by plane
Very decent place to dine at the Montreal airport. Good food + professional service.
This place is lovely. I had an IPA, very tasty. Server was very nice. Salmon salad was FANTASTIC and not too too salty as saucy dishes like this tend to be. Last time I was in this airport, I was running on fumes and couldn t cover my bill. The waiter saw how distressed I was and let me go without paying. I was in tears. What a place .
Good place for a quick pint between flights. Food looked average. Good, cheerful service. Be sure to look up at the old-time snow shoe ceiling.
Worst smoked sandwich Ive ever had. But the bartender was funny and the beer is amazing and honestly eating in airports sucks enough as it is so Ill keep coming here every time and just get poutine next time cuz it looked really good from the person next to me.
Very accomaditve if you want to grab a bite to eat before your flight and are squeezed on time, but be prepared for a salty bill.
Caroline the waitress forced us to tip more... we ate in 5 minutes flat to catch our flight at the end I wanted to pay by card I tipped 4 dollars she told us no you dont know how to tip here in Canada... I said I live in Canada I tip whatever I want for 10 minutes flat why would I tip 20 dollars she replied because she button 12$ per hour less than the minimum wage.... in short this is the first and last time in this restaurant I am used to eating at the airport because I often take flights I will come back to those where I usually sit
Food is good and service very fast
Very overpriced food for what you get and high expected tips for very minimal service.
THE place to start a trip at the airport! Good beers good food, friendly staff! Excellent choice de bière
Rise and shine Airport breakfast review: 2 eggs, 2 sausages, a mountain of potatoes and a single toast for $18. Coffee not included. Food passable but definitely overpriced. It is what it is.
Stopped in for breakfast while waiting on a flight, nice place showing some wear and tear, the leather on our banquet was torn. The BLT sandwich was fantastic. Smoothie was good . Its a busy place so bit of a wait. Food : 5/5
Not very good place if your have dietary restrictions. Vegetarian burger was below average. Patty fell apart and it was very mushy - felt it was not cooked properly. This was my second time during my connection I visited. So both times I had terrible food experience. Server did not offer water at all or asked if I needed anything else. I understand its fast pase business and not to expect a lot from an airport food place.
Decent burger - poutine was not great given the city. Service was great however food was extremely expensive.
Good
Excellent service! Joy of living that makes you want to try and consume one more glass before taking a flight
The food was amazing, just in front of our gate. The employee Maxim was soo friendly and kind and his presence made the whole experience and ambience better.
I personally found this place a bit overpriced for what they offer but I guess it is the price the travellers pay while sitting at the gate. $24 for Montreal smoked meat sandwiches. $24 for smoked meat poutine. $11 for a small pint. I also found the service quite slow. The food came out fast but I had to wait for a while to get my bill paid. I had time to spare for my next flight but it would have been frustrated otherwise. The atmosphere was good.
Food was so fast and it was actually delicious. Our server Marco was great, he was so friendly and funny , making us and the tables around us laugh , having conversations and still fast and efficient. Glad we stopped in!
Great service from Marco. Very friendly, you can see that he really likes his job and takes very good care of his customers. Thanks for the good time!
Worst chicken burger ever!
Amazing spot. The whole family had something they enjoyed. My coffee was so good. Can t wait to come back next time I m at this airport! Vegetarian options: Hummus salad was incredible Kid-friendliness: Kids had pizza, poutine and plain pasta but it was what they wanted and they were all tasty
Just wanted a beer and a poutine and heard this was the best place, we sat down at a table for 4 (there are 2 of us with lots of luggage) and it is not busy so didn t think this was a problem, we were told we had to move because it could get busy really, it could horrible service, not the way to treat people, felt like a 3 year old getting a scolding, se we left, and they watched us go not seeming to care or even ask why. WW will never ever go here again. Went to L Auberge just down the hall and Justin has been giving us great service, thank you for recommending the IPA that s not on the menu. If I could give this a zero I would.
Ordered a poutine for $24. Cheese curds were cold and pretty sure the smoked meat was just cold cut up canned ham. Whoever made that poutine should go to jail. Beer was $12. Makes sense they dont list the price on the menu. $12 for a beer is thievery. Not sure what put me off more, the prices or the food. Save your money - dont eat here and dont enable these thieves to keep jacking up prices. To the restaurant: I sincerely hope you go out of business.
As airport food goes, this was some of the best Ive had in a long time! Most places rush you through, but they immediately qualified - were busy (they were packed), do you have enough time. I appreciate the thoughtful questions, and given the quality of food, Im wondering if it was because they also like to make good food properly. They certainly did! The salmon eggs benedict was perfect! Changing the side to fruit for $5 seems a bit ridiculous and overkill. But the service and food were great.
I had the Shrimp Tacos. They were delicious with a bit of a kick . Great service ! Thank you !
Evelyne great waitress!!!!
Very pleasant welcome. Typical and warm decoration in the land of trappers. If like me you are on a stopover, treat yourself to a break from Canada there: A journey within a journey. PS: I will not forget the generosity of the manager
Great place for a meal while you wait for your flight.
Super fast and super good
Very good option before taking your flight, Archibald delivers a nice selection of beers to Dorval combined with good finger food. We opted for a trio of nachos, tacos and chicken wings without the sides. The nachos were nicely gratinated with cheese, not cheap, good tomato sauce too. The wings, more conventional, were nothing special but the Ranch sauce spiced up the dish. By far, the shrimp tacos are your best option on the menu: tasty, generous and sought-after ingredients, it was the best player of the first trio. Accompanied by 5 beers, the total came to $140 with taxes and service for 2 people. Too expensive for all that but you are at the airport. Of all the options at the airport, probably one of the best despite the ridiculous prices. Efficient, fast and attentive service, our waitress was on point and much better than average (Cybèle). Recommended.
Was there this morning, had an hour or so before boarding. Ordered breakfast. Others showed up, sat around me, ordered. Everyone got their food, finished their food and I had to leave with no food because I waited so long that it came time for me to board the plane. They forgot about me. Great service
Good but very expensive
A good place to eat while waiting for your flight. The poutine is OK for an airport, the service is speedy but OK and the prices are a little expensive but its OK for an airport.
Genial
Best place for a meal before the plane
Back street boys at 7 am with volume too loud Not Great!! A good lounge playlist would be more current.
Always good service, lively atmosphere at the bar, the staff is super friendly! This is my tradition before each of my trips! The beer is excellent and the price, for being at the airport, is very good.
Sometimes a little chaotic because of the many customers, but the service is efficient and the pub style meals are generally well presented and good. Quality beers.
Very nice decor and good food
The atmosphere and service are okay. The waitresses are super friendly. On the other hand, the host does not know the difference between vegetarian and gluten-free menus... Quite disappointing, just like the menu which has no completely plant-based choice which is quite disappointing in 2024 in an international airport in Montreal (a city with more than 50 completely veggie restaurants.) Whats even more disappointing and irritating is paying extra for a veggie patty when you have to remove THE BEEF, CHEESE and BACON so that the burger is vegetable. It seems to me that a discount would be more appropriate... In short, the owner should arrive in 2024, since his prices are!!
Hey for food at the airport it was really tasty. Recommended if you wanted to move away from fast food.
