World's Worst Coffee Pire Café Au Monde
too expensive for what you’re getting. I got the smoked salmon toast and there are no sides for $20+. Although it did taste great! The iced chai latte was absolutely delicious
Had breakfast with a couple of buddies. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were a bit higher than the competition. Granola with fruit, yoghurt and fruit was a generous portion and recommended. Coffee wasn’t to my liking and could use an upgrade on the blend. Place was quiet at 9 am but got busy at 10:30 am. Would go back.
The ambiance of the place is amazing. The staff are amazing quick to refill our water we didn’t even have to ask, fast service. The food is good, mixture of light and heavy.
Very pretty location - it has a tropical vibe to it, very different, so love this about the restaurant. I visited twice in the last few months; the service the first time was on par (very busy Mother’s Day - extremely loud - but waitress was present and attentive); the service during my 2nd visit was quite lacking (resto was not busy at all and the waiter kept taking breaks at the bar, on his phone - had to flag him down a couple of times). The various food dishes that we chose were good. The only dish (of those we tried) that stood out and was quite delicious, is the French toast with ice cream! The hot/cold combination in each bite was a surprise every time! A must-try. Although, as you see in my picture, they are a little stingy on the ice cream lol. Would go back if opportunity arose.
Got the Shakshuka with halloumi and labneh, it was good. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. The host was nice and welcoming. The server was unfriendly and gave bare minimum effort, she failed to check on us. She just took our order, gave our food, and gave our bill. Music did not match the atmosphere. We definitely did not want to be listening to techno rave music during breakfast.
It took at least 15 min for the waiter to come see us. Our coffees came quickly but the smoothie came after the food came, 30 min after we ordered. Food was good. The terrace and interior are very nice. The girl and boy responsible for water outside were very nice, kept our glasses full. The rest of the service seemed poorly organized.
Stepping into Pigeon Café feels like entering a cozy oasis. You're greeted by a charming interior adorned with plenty of greenery and, notably, live flowers adorning each table. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. One of the highlights of Pigeon Café is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Unlike many establishments, the staff here go above and beyond to ensure a personalized experience. Instead of simply seating us at any available table, our waiter kindly allowed us to choose our own spot. As for the food, it exceeded my expectations. My steak was cooked to perfection, boasting impeccable flavor and tenderness. The accompanying sauce was a true culinary delight, elevating the dish to new heights. And let's not forget the dessert selection, which offered a tantalizing array of options to satisfy any sweet tooth. Last but certainly not least, a mention must be made of the coffee. Rich, aromatic, and expertly brewed, it provided the perfect ending to an already exceptional meal. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Green Haven Cafe for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Its unique charm and excellent service make it a standout dining destination.
I love the ambiance and the food. It’s a very well thought through space and the owner must have a great sense of humour😅! The waiters are very polite and patient and if you are not careful you could stay through brunch to dinner, I have fallen prey of this. Overall absolutely love it and it’s cute hilarious touches. I am a repeat offender here
The atmosphere and the service are usually on point. The servers are always very sweet and helpful . The food is ok, but it s also mostly a lounge/coffee place so do expect over the top food. I ordered a fillet and it was kind of dry and very small , spent 40$ on it. Not worth it. It s best to go for something lighter like their sandwiches, burgers, salads and pasta. Overall the food is 3.5/5.
Good place for lunch with friends. Portions where small. Bakery was very good
My wife got a smoothie here and then had food poisoning. We shared everything else she had that day.
I opted for steak and eggs, and I must say that the presentation of the dish was neat and original. However, once in the mouth, the experience was much less pleasant. The steak and sauce were way too salty which really ruined the overall taste of the dish. Another rather disturbing detail: the dish was served to me on a wooden tray which, although pretty, seemed quite damaged, with visible cracks. I cant help but think about the health risks that this could cause, particularly with rare meat, which is, in my opinion, unacceptable in terms of food safety. Cross contamination and the risks of bacteria such as salmonella are points to really take into account.
Very noisy place! Impossible to agree. Price of filter coffee at $3.75 which tastes like water.
Doesnt worth to go
Beautiful place, but Too expensive
Beautiful place, first experience in the morning, very beautiful decor, reasonable price, but on the other hand the service is too much in the rush and pressure on the customers. Yes I recommend, but the weekend morning service is a kind of pressure on customers in order to finish faster.
Perfect lunch. I loved the potatoes
Delicious very pretty decorations with all the plants
Great relaxing atmosphere and good food.
Nice place. Good service and food. Decent prices.
I love this place but the service was really bad.. Sunday around 10:00am we have to wait a lot for coffee also wait a lot for hot water for my te, really disappointed; the place was not full but the servers were not proactive, I told with two o three for the coffee they are super fast for pay the machine give 3 options for tip start with 18% why? I changed and I pay 15% but they don t deserved that ,
Worse service ever. The place is empty and it takes 10 min for someone to sit us. We ask for menus, we waited an eternity. Barely no one there and zero service, waitress looked high out of her mind. Asked a boss boy for help and waitress still didn t bring us menus. We ended up just leaving and go somewhere else, never again. Looking at other reviews and it seems like a trend.
Absolutely terrible service. Made us wait forever to get seated, even with the place practically empty, the staff looked drugged up and high out of there mind. One waiter was arguing with what seems to be his girlfriend in middle of resto. We waited until we got fed up and left without placing an order. Terrible place. I do not recommend
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a delicious breakfast, lunch and socialize. Tasty, affordable.
Terrible food and service
Lovely Cafe. Shakshuka must try..... Food
Pretty good place for coffee and smoothies. I have not tried their food yet but overall it s a nice cafe and they have nice terrace in summer. I would recommend this place
Great food and service
Breakfast food was not so good!
Nice decor, walls have cool art designs, there s a terrasse for outdoor eating, the food is good, the service is great and the coffee is better than any other breakfast place in the area. Highly recommend!
Rip off for the price
Never again. Ordered basic 2 eggs bacon breakfast. Asked for the eggs over easy , received my eggs over cooked sunny side up. Like it was a rubber saucer disk. Asked the waitress if she could get the eggs fixed and I d like them over easy , Received next set of eggs sunny side up again, but slight less cooked. I wasn t going to send them back again, and I m not sure if the waitress didn t communicate over easy or the cooks don t know what over easy is? But it s really the most basic breakfast, over priced and poor quality. I will not be returning.
Excellent coffee, good service.
My wife and I walked in at 3:00 pm. The person at the front counter told us to choose a table. We sat down and it took 20 min before someone came to see us. I actually stopped the bus boy to ask if we can see a waiter. He gave us water and menus. Less than one minute later the waiter comes to see us for our order. I told him we just got our menus. He said he d be back in 5 min. 15 min later finally another waitress comes to see us for our order and apologizes for the wait. Apparently there was a miscommunication between servers. Meanwhile clients coming in after us had been seated and got their food before we even ordered. Finally we ordered 2 coffees and a brownie a la mode. Awful dessert. Cold brownie and freezer burn vanilla ice cream. Our total bill came out 22.08$ Horrible service and horrible food. Not recommending this place
Great atmosphere, food was ok, service was quick. Space is large and lively! 100% would recommend to check it out!
Very pretty place, music a little loud, you have to speak loudly to hear each other, its a vibe but not for everyone. The service was non-existent or even bad, waitress who doesnt know her menu, waiting time for her to come to our table and for us to receive the order is much too long (no rush and more). Incomplete order once received, price too high for poor quantity and quality. Really disappointed but at least the place is beautiful
Great place to grab a bite to eat with very nice staff. The cookies are incredible!
Horrible customer service. Not welcoming. Staff not friendly. Food is basic. Too expensive for no reason. Never going back here.
I didnt expect that when I came home. But what a nice surprise! The exterior does not reflect the interior. It s a place that I invite you to discover, it s really beautiful. The staff is really welcoming and smiling. and the food is excellent. There is a choice of dishes, for all types of desires.
The restaurant itself is gorgeous and very inviting in terms of aesthetic and atmosphere. When I got there, there is a sign saying wait to be seated, but I was pretty much ignored by the gentleman at the bar area and I had to ask if I could just go seat myself. There was a total of 8 guests at the restaurant not including my party of 3 and it took at least 20 minutes to be asked whether I would like a cup of coffee and service in itself for everyone, was very inattentive. We were all flagging our servers down to either order or grab the check which is inexcusable when it s that quiet in a restaurant. My dish was overly salted, and the latkes were completely bland, but I m hoping this experience was a one off and I m willing to give this restaurant another try. Hopefully it will be a better experience!
Nice place, smothies are good, the pastry not very much!
Im not sure what the issue was today, but the service was extremely slow. Ordered coffee again 11am, arrived 15 minutes later. Ordered food, arrived 30 minutes later. Our entire experience was 1h30, which can be good for some people but we had small children with us... There was also multiple people who were serving us, so there could have been delays with communication. I also went straight to the bar to ask for water no ice and I actually never got it. Lastly, we were not given kids menus and so, we ordered full size meals for them and saw kids menus with coloring sheet/crayons in passi ng at reception. Very disappointed...
The eggs Benedict is more of a salad however it is tasty!
Great place.
Nice place. Good food. The waitress Jasmine is so cute and smiled. Return back for sure. Definitely 5 stars.
Great
Good place for breakfast or brunch. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Free parking available.
Today I ate the most delicious French toast of my life
Beautiful place
The owner is really nice, accommodating & hard working!
The atmosphere and food were great as usual! It s just the service in this location wasn t good. Food
The setting is very pleasant, the restaurant is large and offers plenty of space. We received excellent service from everyone we interacted with and the food was delicious.
Ive been here once and the manager made a horrible impression of the store. It is super unsanitary and the food is disgusting. Would not recommend to anyone. The pigeon cafe downtown is way better. Staff is super friendly and food is way better
Delicious food and good service. It has a lively atmosphere and this is atop my goto places in the area.
Great place to dine in. Fantastic service .
We ordered Chakchouca. It was ok however it lacked flavor. The service was welcoming and the decor of the place helped create a nice, pleasant atmosphere.
Cozy and nice place for a brunch. Well priced and service is friendly. On busy days might take a bit of time but overall we loved it!
Very pretty place. The food was good. We did a Sunday Brunch at this place. We found it quite rowdy and noisy for a cafe place. Not sure if I would go back. Don t get me wrong it s a beautiful place!
Snob atmosphere, drinks sua coche
I was with friends who only speak French and the waiters would come back speaking English every single time, no exception. A bit annoying, feel your crowd.
Nice and cozy atmosphère, great food, friendly staff
Staff welcoming, Food amazing and great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.
My visit to Le Pigeon restaurant was a remarkable experience, marked by exceptional cuisine where each dish served as a culinary journey. The warm atmosphere, highlighted by careful decoration and perfectly chosen music, made our evening special. The service was not up to standard, a 2-star slow motion service which made everything unpleasant. It should be noted that the prices are somewhat very exaggerated. A movktail a starter spinach dip 2 salads 2 coffee 1 dessert bisquit all for this costs $118. Le Pigeon remains a must-visit destination for those looking to savor a premium dining experience in a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere.
Clean and warm
Very noisy inside restaurant + coffee not included with breakfast so have to pay extra which is odd and unlike other breakfast places. Otherwise good, staff friendly and service is usually fast/efficient except for that one time. Food tasty and stands out from other places in selections offered.
As per the Pigeon cafe on Monkland, great all around ! Service could be improved here . Same issue at the other location: why is the music so loud? Never had this issue in the past , can t even have a normal conversation without yelling . Is this a restaurant or a club????
Excellent atmosphere and good service and good
Very good food and beautiful place. The music is a little loud to be able to chat at the table. Service ok but nothing more until the bill.. the waiter stayed behind the person paying the whole time and looked insistently.. he wanted to see the code? Did he want to see his tip? Even with a $10 tip, not a thank you from him. Big lack of professionalism. In general we look elsewhere when the customer makes their PIN.
I like the food I like the place but my last visit for 15 min these young girls that work there were dragging tables and it was so annoying!!!! Sure they were probably re organizing the place BUT for the people sitting trying to enjoy their Sunday lunch and hearing that annoying sound!!! Come on -_- idiots!
As a Saturday get together of 5 best friends, we are told upon arrival 2 hr is allocated. We arrived at 9:15 and at 11 we are told our table is reserved for other customers. Ok, but there were at least 6 tables available ? We received our plates at almost 10... As a café place, no decaf coffee ? Really ? Reason why I gave it a 3 star service. Non merci...not going back.
Great place, great food
Beautiful place with a tasty food
First of all, I want to say I love the atmosphere of this place (bit too loud on the music sometimes) but its my favorite place to have coffee with my girlfriends. The downside for me, is that thats all I can have, coffee. There arent any vegan or vegan friendly options in the menu, maybe fries, but those are available everywhere..would love to see at least one vegan option on the menu. Its easy and low cost to add. Lovely place though
Went on a Saturday for breakfast with 6 people with the understanding that we d have to leave after 2 hours. Place practically empty we were forced out. Were is the logic?
Beautiful place you should hire some servers, the wait staff out numbered the the customers and the service was just not there, perhaps a training program for your wait staff.
Always come here for lunch. Great spot and delicious food. Always get the halloumi chacahouka dish with fries to dip. Yum
Pigeon cafe is actually for pigeons
Other than the atmosphere, the food was not good , its overpriced and the service was very slow ,not worth it.
I love coming to eat at this café. Everything is great, food is delicious and decorations are so nice!! It s such a vibe. I come often and it has never failed me. If you want cute Instagram pictures and enjoy the food this is your place.
The blonde-haired waitress who served us was very cold and unsmiling, we had the impression of bothering her and took time to serve us while there was no rush. Otherwise nice atmosphere and good food e.
I would say good atmosphere and nice music ctt The coffee tastes nothing and cold
What a beautiful place. The cafe s decor created a nice ambiance. It made me forget we were still in the middle of winter. The food was amazing. I took one bite of my veggie sandwich and wow. Definitely going back!
Nice ambiance and decent service. However the food isn t very good and way too Overpriced. Food
Very beautiful, tastes good, friendly service, clean, all-in-all great. Only downside is quite a small portion for the price, when compared to places in the same style. Still, would return. Thank you
Lots of seating which makes it hassle free for weekend brunch. Good menu variety and service.
Ordering a simple two-egg breakfast, you expect to get 2 pieces of toast. Instead, they embarrassingly cheap out and take one tiny piece of toast and cut it into two. I asked for tea. Typically you bring a little metal teapot. Instead, they bring the tea bag and the cup. Tea is best enjoyed steeped. Most decent restaurants offer this. We werent checked on during the meal, or offered more hot water or coffee. When I motioned the server over to ask for more hot water, she was about to go get it without asking if my friend wanted more coffee, which she did. My friend had a simple salad with no meat in it. The bill was 47$ plus tip. The place was empty, so its not as if the servers were under stress. Perhaps theyre getting that chain attitude, where quality and customer service starts to slip.
Honestly worst service, racist, the restaurant was empty yet the girl was arguing with the customers to give us our seats just because one girl was wearing the Keffiyeh
Extremely expensive place I paid 86$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 orange jus
Good food and drinks! The decor is really nice and makes you feel like you re outdoors. Friendly service as well!
I had a business meeting there yesterday and I loved it. From the ambience, the service and the food, everything was outstanding. I ordered a fresh press juice that was absolutely delicious, a chicken wrap for 12$ and It was huge and tasty and the waiter Jasmine was just the cherry of the cake, she was sweet, helpful, funny, smart and efficient. I give you guys 5 stars and I will sure stop by whenever I am in the area. Thanks for keeping it cozy, classy and affordable.
First time visiting. Definitely a place I would visit again as it is something visually appealing apart from the great service and food it was very joyful. I tried their breakfast menu and specifically the shakshuka. Great presentation overall, great quality ingredients and mix of Punchy flavors with the pine nuts pomegranates sauce bread and halloum cheese to name a few. The tomato sauce was a tad on the acidic side, otherwise wow. And yes, a proper freshly squeezed orange juice to add to the delight. I am definitely going to try other items next time around. Vegetarian options: Shakshuka and some salads
Sat there for 25 mins waiting for a waiter/waitress to take our order, after 30 mins of waiting we had to ask one of the busgirls to get us a waiter this is very unacceptable. Wouldn t recommend eating there.
The best
Went for Friday brunch, No smiles from our waitress, Jasmine, felt rushed to order, didnt repeat the order. table was wobbly when I told her about it , I got attitude but it got corrected. Ordered 2 eggs with extra sausage. Only received the sausage not the bacon with it, but charged the extra $5. If the waitress had showed up to check if everything was OK maybe it could ve got corrected. HORRIBLE SERVICE ! Water wasnt filled, plates were taken away before they were finished. Small, COLD portions for the price being paid. Check out your Dinner menu? No thanks. If the manager actually sees these numerous reviews about service they would correct their waitresses. By the way there is a kids Menu but it wasnt available which doesnt make sense. Kid-friendliness: There is no kids menu, even though they bring you a lids menu so kids can draw on
Way too expensive. $58 for two people for a croissant sandwich and a plate of 2 eggs and coffee. Young servers didn t even offer coffee refill
Such a cute fun place. Food is good & coffee :)
I ordered the shakshuka and sweet, they bring only one fork for both dishes, the waiter was tuff, he gets angry because I change the chair direction, the coffee not free like other breakfast shop. only the atmosphere was good.
Came here for the first time. The ambiance is so nice and aesthetic. Server was sweet and friendly. Tried Chocolate Babka(Sweet) with Latte.. It was amazing.. !!!
It s ok. Food is a little bland and not very original. Also expensive for what it is: a tuna sandwich with commercial fries was $18, as an example. Service was courteous and quick. To each their own but I don t think I ll be going back. Wheelchair accessibility: Looks like it s wheelchair accessible
The occasion was a reunion of colleagues for Sunday brunch. I am a vegan and was pleased that an oat milk latté was suggested for me to drink. I ordered an avocado toast with a substitution of hummus instead of feta cheese. I was a little disappointed when a slice of toast arrived, topped with the avocado, a spring mix of greens, and a drizzle of vinagrette, on a bare white plate. Not even a few slices of tomato to give the plate some color. Thank goodness my friends had fries with their orders (which they were not allowed to eat), so I was able to reap the benefits. I was just a little underwhelmed. Parking: There is plenty of parking, just be mindful to leave space for others. Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available.
Perfect place to take the staff out for lunch/brunch! Everyone enjoyed it! The desserts were delicious yum !
I really enjoyed my Mediterranean toast and a superb caramel latte. Vegetarian options: A ton Food : 5/5 |
The service wasn t good, the server passed by my table only when I called for her. The food is very bland. Even the atmosphere was bad, the music was too loud we couldn t hear each other talking even though we were sitting right next to each other.
Love the aesthetic of the place and so glad a new location opened up in st laurent. Owner is smart in opening 3 of their own restos on the same strip
Very bad food and poor service. I wouldnt recommend at all. If I could give zero star I would!!!
I ve been here twice and won t return again. I ordered Two eggs any style with poached eggs for 16$, I was surprised by what I got. Just two vinegary poached eggs, bunch of potatoes and two slices of bacon. I d love to have sauce, veggies or fruits on side. This one was too dry to eat. Do not recommend it.
I ordered takeout on a random weekday morning before 9. Hardly any customers in the store. The place is such a vibe. The meal although expensive, was so worth it. The iced drink was perfect. The egg sandwich was made on a delicious brioche bun. Would definitely recommend if you wanna treat yourself!
Professional, reasonable price, spacious, you can sit very comfortably
The food was tasty! Service was meh, decor was very cute!
Great coffee, music, and atmosphere! Food was good too, nice portions.
Everything was good and tasty and service was very good. It s a bigger version of Arthur Nosh in a way. Only downside was the music that became soooooo loud at some point that we couldn t hear each other talk.
Food is very good, but expensive for the portions. Service - we needed to continuously sollicite ou waiter for missing items that we had asked for (milk, bread, more coffee, condiments). Atmosphere - very loud when filled to capacity, however, I do admit there was a group there.
This is by far our favorite place! The food is just wow, incredible their blueberry pancakes are to die for! The service is amazing, we have a toddler who isn t always patient & the employee was kind, compassionate, made sure the food came out quickly & gosh did I ever love my coffee at the moment it was needed! The place is beautiful, I love the cote vertu location, family friendly, amazing food, it s a must try! Make sure to either reserve your spot or get there early! Kid-friendliness: Food came out quickly, they really payed attention to our toddler, got him a spoon quickly, fresh squeezed orange juice it s def family friendly
Nice place, but the service is slow and its pricey for what you get. Waffle fries are good, but the portion is super small... one person can easily eat two of those orders. For the price, youre expecting a big portion. Food
Dont let Cafe in places name fool you, its a full sit down restaurant. I did not sit for a meal. Before anyone sits down, first check out their menu and prices.
Our party of 3 found that the food is pricey ($122 incl tax) and lacks the extras, like toast & coffee, that other breakfast specialists include. Taste is ok but eggs were uniformly way under-cooked for my taste. Biggest complaints come from the menu in fine print - I could not read it, and, the incredibly NOISY venue. Not a comfortable place to enjoy company and conversation - had to scream to hear each other. Took quite a while after we sat down before we were noticed and the waiter never actually asked me what I wanted to eat!!
Great place to have brunch, family friendly. Had Merguez Shakshouka for the first time and loved it! I can have this every morning, it s so tasty and filling! Also had their Caramel Latte and, though I didn t really taste the Caramel flavour, I appreciated the non-dairy options for their coffees. Would come back!
The cup is not cleaned and you can see lipstick mark on it. Apparently they don t bother to check it before making a cup of coffee. When I told the waiter I want to exchange a new one and showed him the dirty cup, he just simply said ok. No apology at all. Worlds worst coffee indeed!
Great spot in St-Laurent, very cute decor.
Poor service. Very sneeky when taking your order without specifying that there is an extra cost for some sides. I asked for a specific kind of tea and they brought another (that has cafeine) without saying anything. That contributes to a mediocre experience. Very noisy atmosphere.
It was a very bad experience, Ive been there before (in VSL), but definitely not coming back and really dont recommend it. When getting the bill, where I was being charged a dessert I didnt order, I noticed also an extra cost for a salad that the waiter gave me as an option of side dish but never mentioned it was extra, very tricky. As a feedback, we told the guy at the cash, who acted very condescending just nodding not saying anything and then he brought the manager. The manager came with an even more condescending attitude with the menu on his hand saying that in the menu it says green salad, so everything else is extra, like I should now. Then he came on mansplaining the same thing over and over and finally what do you want? Never I heard an apology for the misunderstanding, or even acknowledging that they could improve their service. Thats the only thing I was expecting but clearly they got a non-service oriented manager that makes all the staff feel they are doing you a huge favor by just being there and of course deserving a minimum 18% tip pre-set. Also the ambience is really loud, but if theres good service, that wouldnt have mattered that much.
Turkey was not the best , coffee is good , service is good , other days i take egg breakfests its very good. Will keep going. 4.5/5
Let me be clear, the food is great, always is. Theyre weak spot is delivery, I would have to say, I order in a lot due to specific issues and I love the food here, but without exaggeration, when I order my order is usually wrong about 90% of the time. I mean just take a few more seconds to double check the order.
Very well-designed location. I would add that tables are too tall for both chairs and banquets. Food is good. Service is friendly. A large party with dancing (large speaker) was going on in about half the restaurant when we were there and I found it very loud and not very pleasant first experience for my little party of three. I would try it again.
We had a baby naming event at this location and were very happy. The food, staff and atmosphere was great. - Staff: Sean and the team are amazing, working hard to ensure everyone felt comfortable. They were attuned to our needs before, during and after the event. Lovely staff - Food: The food was great and everyone enjoyed it - Atmosphere: The decor is really nice, creating a great atmosphere. It feels as though we are dining at a tropical city - a vacation in our city. Really had a great time!
First time going for supper All our dishes were incredibly delicious I highly recommend the beet salad and the caramel carrot cake our main meal was a mix of chicken parm chicken with taziki and salmon with roasted potatoes all equally delicious service was implacable Food
I went there a few days ago by myself. I had the pigeon salad and a caramel latte. I found the place beautifully decorated and well-thought visually. Service was also very good and timely I really enjoyed my food and drink. Personally, I would think the place would benefit from a change of music. Hits song were playing while I was there and I find it doesnt fit the place at all. I mean there were even delicate flowers placed in water vases. I suggest you make a switch to jazz or soft instrumental music. It would really fit with the decor.
The restaurant has an adorable ambiance and a pleasant atmosphere, though the music was a tad too loud. The food and coffee were enjoyable. While our waiter was friendly, there was a slight delay in their service. I appreciate the convenience of being able to make reservations at this place!
The food was decent, but our experience with the waitress left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant being only half full and not very busy, her demeanor was condescending from the start. There was no warm greeting when she approached our table to take our order; instead, she bluntly asked, What do you want? This lack of a basic welcome made us feel unwelcome in the establishment. While we dont expect the world, we think a simple greeting is fundamental in the hospitality industry. Additionally, we had to actively seek out our waitress for utensils, water, and coffee refills. Even though there were a few mishaps, she did not offer any apology. On the other hand, the lady at the front was delightful. It would have been wonderful if she could have been our waitress instead.
Rarely dine in the area, and this spot really sticks out from its neighbours. St Laurent needed something hip and this was it. Went in for Sunday brunch, wait was 30 min for indoor seating but we could get a table right away if we were outside. You could tell the staff were a bit overwhelmed, the bussers came to our table twice before the server to take our order. The server also took orders of a few people who were sat after us. I think too many different people were seating customers so it added to confusion. We also had to flag her down for our bill. The food however was exceptional and although the place was packed, kitchen turned over so fast. Less than 10 min from ordering we had our food. Halloumi shak was so good I d go out of my way to eat here again. Took a couple cookies to go and they were also soft, buttery and baked perfectly.
Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian choices Food
It was my 1st visit and defintely not the last. I sometimes dont understand why some people like to nag about anything lol Very nice atmosphere, good service and food. We need one even in Laval ;) Food : 5/5
Awesome very good food quality service
Very nice atmosphere! Had a sandwich and fries - fries were not hot.
I was very disappointed with my food we were 4and shocked by the food which was not fresh hard bread sandwich was terrible eggs were cold I am not convinced that this restaurant has skilled cooks and they are not checking what they are prepar9and serving us too expensive nothing on the plates very big disappointment .
New gem of a breakfast/bistro place. The buttermilk pancakes were amazing. Service from Anthony was excellent. Happy theyll be open evening on Wednesday thru Sunday.
Been here a couple of times. Pigeon Café has such a cute atmosphere/aesthetic and the food is delicious.
Great coffee. The desserts are just, no so wow. Magnificent decor. Impeccable service. I recommend.
Very good lunch with Mediterranean flavors And what about their coffee. Everything was excellent
Super cute and honestly loved the staff. The girl at the bar was my server with longer darker hair today at lunch and she honestly made my experience ! I also got the matzah ball soup and spinach artichoke dip and both were yummm :) first time there but Defs not the last !
Twas, mmmkay... LoL, so dont get me wrong food was good, service was good, ambiance was a beautiful, and thats about it. I was super excited to visit pigeon café after my first experience at the one on Monkland, and this one left me wanting more. I re ordered the artichoke dip. Compared to last time there was substantially less dip that was given. Perhaps there is a difference from restaurant to restaurant. Last time I ordered the BLT which was phenomenal, and this time I ordered the house classic, the pigeon sandwich. It left me wanting more, I just finished the meal because I paid for it. All in all, everything was good, Im rather quite dry when it comes to places that dont impress me beyond the bare minimum, but I would still recommend this place to people.
Nice and tasty
Disgusting food and horrible staff behaviour
The word here is atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere. Compared to all the usual suburb concrete boxes, stepping into this place was a breath of fresh air. The food was varied and interesting, an eclectic blend of American brunch, middle eastern flavors and Israeli twists. They also offered a great variety of drinks and the service was on point. Dont skip on this place whether for a family brunch or a day date - unless youre looking for actual pigeons...in which case there are none.
Its modern, clean and comfortable inside. The waitresses are warm. Ideal for assembling.
Amazing service and delicious food!!
Horrible service. Dont bother!
Dont recommend !
Not even opened for a year and already under 3.5 stars. This place sucks, the portions are very small. I ordered the shakshouka and it was so soggy . The greensmoothie was pretty good but like for 11$ it better be
French toast is Amazing!
Ive been to this location twice now - once in summer for food, and once recently for a coffee. In my experience - good food, good coffee, and friendly service! The ambiance was also great on both visits. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful place. Food is ok. I went for dinner. Maybe brunch is more their thing
Place is cute, staff is great. But the food was blah. No seasoning to the chicken salad sandwich. Hardly any dressing to the salad. Just ok, maybe try it for dinner instead of lunch.
Food was very tasty! The beets salad was great with the roasted candied hazelnuts. The hummus appetizer is great to share!
Good range of tasty menu options. Very busy during lunch, but had good service. Will come again.
Nice ambiance. Food is good but quite pricey. Service was a bit slow. Took a while for the waitress to take our order.
I don t usually leave reviews but, I live close by and have been a few times now. And it happened not once that service was a bit slower during quieter periods. It seems like the waiters slack a bit because it s downtime for them too. However, today especially upset me as I was with my 6 months old baby alone. I had to wait for 20 minutes (!!!) without a waiter even passing by and asking me if I wanted a drink while waiting for my friend to join us. Then as my friend arrived. We waited an additional 10min, although the restaurant was almost empty and 4 of the staff (2 waiters, busgirl and hostess) ignored us entirely. I finally got up and had to walk towards the two waiters that were standing there chatting and ask who is our waiter and ask if we could please have some service. Quite outrageous that after 30min of sitting at my table, not one person passed by to inquire if I wanted to order even a drink while waiting to order food.
Had a hot chocolate and it tasted weird. Realised when I finished it that it was made with a syrup... Quite disappointing for the price point. Also got their chuncky cookies and for 5$ each, I have tasted better loaded cookies, I understand they cannot stay fresh all day but the staff could have at least heat them up to give these cookies a chance... To me, this place is definitely a pass. However the girls were lovely there and the atmosphere was good.
My friend and I were out shopping with our two babies (car seats and all) and decided to stop in for lunch. The food, the iced lattes and the service was great. They were beyond accommodating and the choice of decor with the trees and the lights was lovely. I do not typically leave reviews but the service was by far the best service I ve received in a long time. 10/10!
Fantastic food, service and ambiance! Great chain!
Honestly, like HONESTLY. I love this spot. Ive only been twice but its amazing. Every piece of good I have tried is full of flavour, their iced matcha is better than any other one Ive had. The staff is so friendly and everyone seems to be in a good mood, high vibes. Decor and music is also on point. Dont walk, run to it
We had a nice breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised food was tasty and decor was nice We will come back even if we live far Food
Food was good and staff friendly. It can get a bit loud though, but alive atmosphere
This is a very nice cafe but food and service are not the best especially relative to price
Nice atmosphere and nice decoration but I give 2 stars for the food which is bland and tasteless. Ill go another day To just have coffee and cake only.
This place was such a vibe! Very beautiful inside and out. We tried the breakfast/lunch menu. It was a bit smaller than expected. Prices were a bit more higher than expected. They had a great selection in bar drinks and hot beverages. I ordered the basic salmon avo toast, and my friend for the shakshua which was very delicious to add a gingerbread latte and to end with key lime pie dessert. The service was great, I definitely would come back to try their dinner menu!
Love the theme of the place it s so beautiful Vegetarian options: Quite a few Food : 4/5 |
16$ for an empty plate lol not even a slice of fruit. Decor is nice but save your money and go to allo mon coco or Petinos at least you ll get your moneys worth.
The food arrived faster than we could say Shakshuka!
The food tastes amazing! They have a wide variety of desserts too. I tried 2 desserts and both were delicious! The ambiance is beautiful!
